Daff its level 2 ABC youth work ,the level 3 is lesons but the same tutor feedback says its as bad so I am looking at a diploma now i think to see what is about .
very wet and dark again

Another miserable day here,weatherwise, garden damp and dismal!!

Postal strike will have caused no end of bother but it does appear to be worse darn Sarf, as I received a certificate from Southport in three days,which I was very surprised about,but glad :O)
OH had his birthday October 25th but the posted card from Son, who lives in London, has yet to arrive.Probably get here by Christmas,I know we live oop North but ...lol

Hope you're feeling better Ann sounds like too much vege. I lov'em but they do affect me like that.
My Son in law and Grandson have just recovered from the sickness that is 'going around' so fingers crossed no one else here gets it!

We braved the storm on Sunday and had a lovely visit.I sat at the table between 11 yr old birthday boy and 6 yr old nephew, soo funny listening to them talking......I couldn't stop smiling, just great to be around children , and after tea a cuddle with the baby ahh :O))

BC... you hate those meeses to peeses....hope they go on their hols soon, get the neighbours' dogs around!!

good morning (just). Just popped round the local garden centre for coffee. Trying to gear myself up to make the apple chutney. feel fine today. Weather very strange, like April, sunshine and showers.

I received a letter today posted in Somerset yesterday and sent first class. Our post hasn't been too bad except for anything that has to come through London.

Afternoon all... well, what a morning! Beautiful, here!

R's mattress has arrived, and I have dragged it up the stairs, dragged the old one down, and arranged for the old one to be collected (next week) I am now waiting to tumble the jersey sheet I took off the bed, because the other two (expensive) jersey sheets have shrunk, and don't even fit a double bed. So I have telephoned the company, and they will be sending me the returns forms so I can send them back... but that means I have to wash and dry this one in the same day... oh well!

I am now going to fill the lovely box it came in... with all the mattress toppers etc that I have stored all over the house.... and then B can put them in the loft for me in a while... he has been awake about an hour... and on the phone since then!

Must go and find something constructive to do, lolol

That is going to be a large box for R to put in the loft.

I have just made 5 jars of apple, onion and red pepper chutney so feeling virtuous but k*******d now. Got plenty of spiced vinegar over so may do some pickled onions next week.

So all the mattress dragging up and down was achieved while R was in the land of nod?? Is he taking a day sick? How is his lurgy??

lol Ann.... no, R is in work.... it is B who was in the land of nod, lol... and if I can get the ruddy thing up the stairs, and the old mattress down into the hallway... then he can get the much lighter box up into the loft... I'll pass it up to him, but he'll have to do it soon, as I am now flagging, lol... been doing some e-mail shopping (that is sitting down and resting, lolol) and I have got myself in a tizz over e-bay payments... am not sure if I have paid or not....... lol.... and I keep getting a message saying I've hit a speed hump!!

Oh dear!!

Right... back to filling up the box... it isn't huge, Ann, as the mattress arrives with all the air sucked out of it so quite compact.... you then undo it, and it pops itself back up after an hour or so. Very nifty!!

Sorry, got my R and B mixed up, forget that you have an extra male to do things.

At the moment Ann... I am having to kick start him to do anything!! He was wandering around the house at just gone 5 am.... and I was restless last night, so it disturbed me.... Oh well.... it'll get sorted once he has a job... no luck so far!!

Lol Ann..... just done that!! He is off to buy the groceries for dinner in a moment, and has just emptied the dishwasher and washing machine without me asking... why is it that fellas seem to need to be asked to do anything that falls outside their *usual* jobs???

Afternoon ladies:-) My son did not recognise a bin bag, it was his blind spot! I used to leave it in centre of room and he would walk around it....lol....have just armed myself with shovel, rubber gloves, Dettol, and went bravely to take a small baby *shudders....mouse from trap...but it was a very big fat slug who liked the peanut butter!!

Been a very rainy day here, am off with dog....I wrote a long post to this thread a few hours ago but it vanished!

Oh, gross, BC, lolol !! Yes... son can ignore a bin bag, even if it is right outside his bedroom door... like now... he is just stepping over it!! It is bin day tomorrow, and I want it filled, lol!! He is almost 37 (May) and he still acts like a teenager when he gets home, lol

Right... off to make my bed... the tumble dryer has just finished... the silence is deafening!!

It is all or nothing in this house with bin emptying. Usually the kitchen bin can be overflowing and T will go on cramming things in, thus breaking the bag and making emptying awkward. Yesterday while he was out I emptied very full bin bag and put in clean one. During the next couple of hours put a couple of bit of packing in the bin so it was still almost empty. Bin day this morning so last night you know who empties the empty bin in the kitchen proudly announcing i have done the bin!!!! empty bag in wheelie bin!!! No he didn't notice!

However before going to golf he emptied the dish washer. I knew he had because most of it was on the breakfast bar to be put away. If asked he will say he doesn't know where it goes!!!! We have lived here almost 18 years now!

He does empty and hang out washing though. (and iron it of course!)

I have spent all afternoon having upgraded my ancestry searching for an elusive ancestor's a) marriage and b) death. WITH NO SUCCESS GRRRR. I am cross eyed now and no further forward.

Well actually I found him four prospective wives but nothing that actually links him to any of them.

Oh Ann.... that has made me laugh my socks off!! I can just imagine the look on his face when it dawns on him that the bin was empty, lolol

I am getting used to these specs, now.... I don't really need them for distance... but I do for middle distance and reading... would need them for driving, for instance... my eyesight, distance wise, is only slightly worse without the specs... but by wearing these all the time, I am not constantly having to change glasses... or take them off.... and I can drive, then see the dashboard clearly as well, lol... Magic!

So I think I might be able to get back into reading documents again..... 4 prospective wives???

I may be going out with my sister tomorrow... depends on the weather..... I am looking forward to it... I haven't seen much of her since she started this job, but she has a week off this week.

Well the reason for 4 is William Webster my Gt x 3 paternal Grandfather married an Elizabeth, but I have no idea of her maiden name and no way of finding out unless I accidentally trip over a clue. He came from Froyle in Hampshire and his Elizabeth came from London born in Bow, they then lived in Highgate, they married somewhere around 1820ish and somewhere around 1832 he died, and I can't find that either because I have no idea where he died.

Frustrating this game, this one has been with me for about 4 years now

Ann send me any details and I will have a look too. Have found some of my London families on Ancestry since they added the LMA records for Baptisms Marriages and Deaths, in a lot of the London region, including some of mine in Middlesex
