BC, you did remember to cut eye holes in that pancake didn't you?

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 26 Oct 2009 15:15

WMSL..... Ann... you are on top form today, lolol

Lol at BC's face mask....... preferred the net curtain veil, myself, BC..... Do we mean panstick, not pancake, lol..... not that I could remember it, of course, far too young for that.... I googled it

*uncrosses fingers*

BC... that actually sounds nice, lol... sort of studenty!!

Mau, sounds like you had a brilliant weekend... I love it when we all get together, too.

I'd forgotten about those hop pillows, too, Jean... let us know how they work.

Love

WAKEY WAKEY!!!

There.... that'll get 'em all kick started this morning!!

A little overcast, but trying to brighten.... I slept well with no Nytol or anything.... hubby off to work... am having my favourite tea tonight (Fish medley-made up thingy.... having it as a fish pie tonight, not a lasagne)

Son has drafted out his personal thingy's for his Phd applications.... including a research project for the one at Cardiff, which had me confused from the first sentence, lol.... basically looking at the effect of pollution, and the environment on tidal flow and how it affects a specific seaweed, which would lead to an accurate prognosis on the purity of the seawater in that area and the effects on other marine and coastal life... it has taken me an hour to decode it, cos it was all written in very posh language...... he has sent off all his applications for a new degree (Environmental Studies/Ecology..... to Hull, Cardiff and Sheffiels.... and has applied for Glasgow, a degree in parasytology (sp) ...........he has a degree in Marine Biology, specialising in cold water areas) Now doesn't all that sound High Falluting???

So my day is looking good... he is relaxed and cheerful........ in spite of all the circumstances surrounding his split, and in spite of the fact that he misses Littlie so much... so that is good for me, lol

I don't know what to do with my day... I need to do a T***o shop.... but as it is for the heavy stuff, that will be online. My trainee tigers are running out of food, with the help of the delightful Peggy - her real name is Jessie, but she was called Peggy by us when we didn't know her name.... she only has 3 legs.... and is an almost permanent feature in the house now-

I might get out my scrapping stuff, but I am a bit restless to do that... it will calm and relax me, though.... so maybe....

Right.... off for a shower before I decide whether today will be a glitter and glue day or not, lol

Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone

Love

Goodness you are a live wire this morning. You did wake me up earlier but I stopped to have breakfast as we are meeting friends for coffee at 10.30.

Well done B for applying to all the unis, hope he gets what he wants, all seems very technical to me, never did have that sort of brain.

Go on, do some sticking, once you get started it will be very relaxing, all that glitter and all those ribbons!!!!

It's ok, Mau... we did realise, lol.... just wondered if poor BC did, what with the trauma of her poor scabby face and all, lolol!! ;¬)))

I don't know whether to cut and stick... or play in my tree... think I might keep playing in my tree until I get my new specs... it makes me a bit giddy at the moment, reading all those lists.

We are supposed to be having a heatwave this week....... bring it on!!

I think heatwave might be a bit of an exaggeration Daff, warmer than usual maybe, mind a heatwave would be very welcome!

Daff or Jude, can you tell me how to find the Chepstow Garden centre, in a couple of weeks we are meeting friends there and she says it is on the road to the Three Rivers hotel (which I don't think is actually called the Three Rivers any more) but T says it can't be on that road. She is useless with directions so I said I would ask. If all else fails he'll go on line.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 27 Oct 2009 12:15

It's OK, I have found it, on the A48 Wales side of Chepstow.

Thanks Jude. Yes know clearwell quite well. When we lived in Lydney we used to go about once a week to eat at the Wyndham arms, the food there used to be great. New people there now from those we knew. And daughters friend had her wedding reception at Clearwell Castle in the 80s, a lovely setting.

Sounds like you are going to be very bright. sounds nice and fresh actually.

I thought the Forest would be looking good. Thanks, Know where it is now, will probably be going there in a couple of weeks.

Morning everyone.... a little muggy here today... Jean, I have woken with a headache today, too.... I had two glasses of wine last night, so it could be that, but I don't think so... I think it is the mugginess..... I put all the scrap stuff away from little fingers..... must get it all back out again, now that she is back with mummy.

Today, I need to clean and sort the freezers, as I have a large order coming this evening, and will need the space. I cleaned the fridge yesterday, and tomorrow I shall have a mammoth soup, stew, spagh bol and chilli making day.... once that is done, it means that I can fritter away my days, and not have to worry about food, lol

Jude.... that sounds wonderful... one of my sisters has bright green, too... not leather, though... and it looks wonderful... I tend to stick to creams and pale yellows.... I love to change the accent colours, though, so have lots of cushions and throws, lampshades etc in all the colours I love... reds, greens, oranges and bronzes... burgundy, raspberry, lipstick etc...... I just change them when I fancy a change. My lounge is quite dark, because of the conservatory, and I like light and a feel of space.

My hurty bits are a bit sore today..... back hips and hands, plus my feet and ankles..... so I have taken the medium duty artillery... they make me drowsy so shall go back to bed for an hour I think... the order doesn't arrive until 8pm ish this evening, so plenty of time to get it sorted.

Have a lovely day, everyone
