Ah, yes I know you can have 2 pages side by side. I have a clever keyboard which does it for me (if I can only remember which button it is LOl!!!

I only have 2 e mail addresses, I have found that google mail is excellent for sorting out spam, I get very little, probably 2 a week on Blueyonder so I don't bother with loads of e mail addresses.

Decided against going out this morning as it really is foul, so T is ironing and I am about to do the accounts and clean the bathroom (not necessarily in that order. I have apple chutney to make too but think I will do that while he is at golf.

MrDaff Report 1 Nov 2009 10:36

Good decision, Ann..... it is foul out there!

I did all the accounts a couple of days ago, so am ahead of myself, lol

I suppose my keyboard would do it for me... but I don't use my keyboard for anything other than typing... I use the mouse for everything.

I am off back to bed for an hour, I think... this weather is so miserable, I just want to cwtch under the duvet, lol!!

Found the button but it divides into four and puts a blank one up of the desktop. will have to look further into it. Not that I often want two up at once.

MrDaff Report 1 Nov 2009 11:16

Yeh... but if it's there, it would be daft not to find out how to use it, lolol.... well, I know, I'm daft anyway, lolol

Accounts all balanced, solvent for another month. Just had an estimate for work to be done on the house, three replacement double glazed windows, PVC barge board across the back and re-pointing of brick work across the back. The front is fine but the back gets all the 'weather'. So saving our pennies now.

I have been a very very lazy bunny today... just got up, had my dinner, and if it wasn't for X Factor, I'd be back in bed by now, lol... that'll be two nice sleeps I have had today, lol

Mau, have a lovely time at your birthday bash... me? I'm all for cwtching back under the duvet.

Ann, sounds like a very expensive time ahead.

I think I might go and have a nice hot shower.... don't know that I can bear to watch tonight, lol

Well, I really thought the terrible two were going to be in the sing off, they did too looking at their faces. I am not surprised that Rachel went although I think she actually has a very good voice, just not the personality to go with it. And who on earth dressed her????

Daff I assume your cold caught up with you today with all that sleeping! Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Morning all..... ~~~~~to Joy, lolol....... I got my granddaughters a sand and water play table, lol... for those days when the beach is unthinkable, lol Oh.... and how about cleaning my grotty pad, as well? No? Wonder why? wmsl!!

Hope all is well with you. xxxxxx

~~~~ to Maz.... back at school today? Just a quick comment on your NVQ... they are a good way to get qualifications.... but, they are only good if you have an assessor who knows their stuff... sounds to me like yours was one step behind you..... and doesn't know the standards, criteria etc him or herself... that is bad... you should be able to redress, and ask for another assessor, should you decide to go ahead... workplace based learning is a pretty good idea... and you have to be able to demonstrate what you know/have learnt... but if your assessor doesn't know what to ask you to provide, or what questions to ask you... then the whole project is pretty useless. Remind me... is it NVQ2 or 3 that you are currently doing? xxxx
Ann... I agree, they thought they were going home... they had so much confidence and cockiness when they started in this series, and that got a lot of people's backs up... as did their behaviuor leading into bootcamp selection, when they sang over the girls..... but I think although there are clearly lots of people voting for them, they know that it is not because they have a talent for singing... but to hack Simon off, and for the pure cringe factor.
They are only kids... they have been having the stuffing knocked out of them, listening to all the boo-ing, and comments etc... from me, too.... I reckon they have a future, but it is as a presenting team, such as Ant and Dec.......I remember all the Tizzwas team irritating the hell out of me! And some of the presenters on CBeebies... well!! Two in particular... they give me the creeps!
WMSL BC.... cwtching is good.... it is a right proper Welsh hug and cuddle, lol And I feel heaps better for all that doziness yesterday!! I hope the sun is shining in your neck of the woods. By the way, did you ever get a parcel from a strange person? I sent you one weeks ago... didn't realise the posties were ad hoc striking...... I assume you have never received it... it isn't really important, except for one thing, the lovely tray cover you wrapped Jasmine in was in it!
Mau, I am very well.... poor R has the bug now... although he has an important meeting today, so has gone in to infect everyone else... sometimes I could thump him!!
The weather is beautiful here, not sure how I want to spend the day.... all my projects are piling up... must ring the jobcentre, though, as the nurse reckons I should qualify for some benefit or other.... even if it is just my stamp being paid! I hadn't given that much thought, to be honest, but I think she may be right... I need to investigate further. So maybe that is my aim today... start looking at that.
Have a brilliant day, everyone, no matter how you choose to spend it
Love
Good morning all, must be my day for an off day today, woke up feeling a bit queasy, nothing I can put my hand on, just feel 'off', legs a bit weak, tummy unsettled. I will no doubt live! Could be the large amount of roasted veg we had with our roast chicken last night, potatoes, carrots, parsnip, red pepper, leeks, courgettes, tomatoes, onion all roasted and very nice but maybe too much fat, plus we also had broccoli. I don't think it was the 2 gins and glass of wine, that doesn't usually affect me.
Anyway, I was going to make apple chutney today but T has gone off to golf (we know what I think about that already!) and the preserving pan is out of my reach in the garage!!! I have done a load of washing which is blowing nicely on the whirly line, have to go to the post office which will be crowded because it is pension/benefit day so will have to queue.
Any news on planning permission Daff?
MrDaff
MrDaff Report 2 Nov 2009 11:18
Ann, I left it to R to fill in the forms a few weeks ago, he is better than I am with that sort of thing.... I mentioned it to him yesterday.... and his reply has astounded me... I was very angry with him... he has decided to play cat and mouse....... let the dust die down before applying for it... so it is now unlikely to be granted this side of Christmas...... but he didn't discuss it with me, at all, and I have been scouring the post, and worrying... we have missed two planning meetings, now.... they happen once a month, at the end of......... and of course it has to be announced publically, so that people are given time to object.... and not even that has happened!
Oh.... and he was very busy at work, and had become totally focused on that.... so why did he take responsibility from me? He offered, cos he didn't want me stressing about it!! Grrrr!!
I have put the solicitor on hold today.... asked her for the bill up until now, as I don't want a huge one just before Christmas...... R didn't realise the knock on effect that his decision has had.
I don't know how far R got with the forms yesterday, after I helped him to understand the effect his tardiness might have, as I was still too miffed with him to ask. But he was very apologetic, lol.... and I can never stay cross for long... *sighs*
Do you reckon we have a big enough dog house for R and T to fit into? lololol!!
Love
Daff xxxx
AnninGlos
AnninGlos Report 2 Nov 2009 11:55
Well we have got a fairly empty shed!!!
How strange of R though not to have discussed it with you, causing more stress by saving you stress??? Men never seem to think domestic things through do they? I would have been cross too! Oh well no choice now do you, you have to wait and Mr probably thinks he has won!!! Presumably R is using tactics he would employ at work? Thinking about it I am sure T would have done the same, well figuratively he would, he sooo would not be filling in forms!
MrDaff
MrDaff Report 2 Nov 2009 12:58
Lol Ann..... Mr is supposed to think he has won... and then R will deliver the broadside when Mr isn't looking... well, that is the theory, anyway, lolol
He is turning back into a little tactical warrior, lolol!!
I have just phoned up and got a nice little man filling in some forms for me, lol........ not those forms, but forms for some benefit or other. A little bit down about it.... Incapacity benefit... or at least, the one that has taken over from that last year.
ButtercupFields Report 2 Nov 2009 16:30
Afternoon Daff and all:-) Hope you are all sniffle free today and that allthat cwetching has done you a power of good...lol....isn't there a Yiddish word similar to that but meaning to 'complain or moan'? Or am I getting that wrong....
Have been busy laying traps for the bleddy mooses again. I swear just as I was about to close my eyes last night, I heard this little squeek of pain or outrage even, coming from the patio and it kept me awake for ages...have had to take in the bird feed again which really annoys me. I thought I had killed the whole population of mice a few years ago! pmsl
No Daff, have received no mysterious parcel lately? I had a little chuckle to myself as when I sent that tray cloth or whatever it is (given to me by a student)I thought I had seen the end of it! I shall simply have to send it back to you with a sprig of something....lolol....
Hope everyone has had a good day and Mau is storm free today.
ps....kvetch: to complain whiningly and persistently.....
Parcel is probably in a warehouse full of London mail somewhere. I got a packet today that was posted about 23rd October.
