Afternoon all.... Ann, that was triple the pain!! And nope, I went to bed for a couple of hours instead... had a bit of a blast of ennui, lolol.... I have just been surprised by R walking through the door... all those with a bit of a way to travel have been sent home, so he can help me finish the dismantling.... B has put all the bits of the first tree up in the loft, so the conservatory is now sorted, cleaned, vacuumed, and washed.... oh, and has some beautiful feline pawprints all across it from mommy's little helper, lolol

Right... off to look in the fridge and see what there is for dinner... we have a very large cauliflower, I know.... so it might be cauliflower cheese... I have some peas and sweetcorn in the freezer to add a bit of extra colour... and the last of the stilton to add that bit of extra oomph......

Take care

Love

Good afternoon, well we had snow this morning and it has now started again, we live on a busy main road so the road is clear but the side roads are awful.
I did start my h/work and got quite a lot done just the ironing to do now but that I shall do tomorrow when I am on my own. That is unless the schools close then i shall have the gr/children again.
I don't like the snow but it does look pretty when it is lying fresh on the ground and trees.

Take care everybody when out and about that's if you can get out.

Thanks Mau, yes glad it is over. I sort of knew my temp dentist had suggested on the card that the new dentist cleaned the teeth while they were numbed, I just didn't know how thoroughly she was going to do it, it didn't hurt of course but was very tiring, the actual extraction was over very quickly. She then proceeded to show me the tooth to demonstrate why it had bled a lot previously. I would have been happy for her not to 'share'. And boy is my mouth sore now, goodness knows how many injections I had, although the numbing seemed to 'come round' quite quickly compared to last time I had injections in November. All the teeth I have left on that side are ultra sensitive at the moment, obviously missing their coating of tartar that has been removed!

hello! not had a chance to read all the posts yet, but I hope you all had a nice christmas and new year. My inlaws came.....and went.....we went out to a local restaurant christmas day, which was lovely, the kids were so good....although the food was lovely, it was slow service. there's no room in the house now, as O's dinosaurs have multiplied by 1000, thanks to santa. H is opening a pet shop with all the puppy (etc) in her pockets!

I left work by 10:30 this morning, cos the weather was so bad. the kids nursery called me, so I went to get the kids, and so I have managed to do some work today, with assistance from my babies!!!!

anyway....hope you are all safe and wrapped up warm!

Blwyddyn Newydd Dda.....!!! Happy New Year!!!!

Hello star and Mammidau happy new year to you both and good to see you. Mouth is still very sore which makes it difficult to eat but it will soon get better I'm sure.

I keep forgetting to say our third (17 year old) Grandson passed his driving test yesterday. Hampshire drivers be afraid, be very afraid.

Morning Daff and all and nice to see Star and Mammidau dropped in:-) It has just begun to snow here but in a half hearted kind of way! Hope all the snowbound, and housebound are coping and making lots of nourishing soups, hope Ann's tooth has stopped hurting and isnt it wonderful that Mummo's Eddie has taken his first step!

Good morning Daff, Mummo, Maz and BC. Hope you all manage to stay in the warm today as it seems we all have snow now. We certainly wont be going out. Is it unusual for Portsmouth to have snow Mummo?

Yes thanks BC tooth (or lack of) is fine and just a bit sore where the injections were, although even that is not too bad. We have 4-5 inches of snow this morning, looks pretty but would look better if the sun shone.

Morning everyone:o)))

Brrr its a wee bit chilly here and we are covered in 8 " of snow. l was watching it fall in the night, could'nt sleep as l have had the flu thingy and been in bed on and off since Sat am, so have had enough sleep for the time being. It was fascinating watching the snow and listening to the birds high up in the fir tree's.
Madoc went potty in the back garden first thing, its the most snow he's seen (as far as l know), he kept charging indoors grabbing a toy and charging out again, spinning round like a mad thing....well he was named 'mad-dog', had to stop him though cause of his bad leg.
Vic cleared some snow for the birds and fed them, they were down like a shot before he got back indoors. Vic's also done his back in helping a neighbours friend to dig his car out. He felt something go, lets hope it does'nt get any worse!!
Little Missy E starts dance lessons today, she was 3 last November, oh my gawd such a cutie, she'll love it. She mad biscuits with daughter yesterday, l think 2 are in the post!!! lol:o)
Little Master M is at home with his mum as she can't get into work, so he's right chuffed....he'll be 3 in March.
Daff...hope you are well:o)
Hope everyone stays in today unless really necessary!!
Take care.

Schools closed so have gr/children here, we have just been out and built a snowman and now back inside for a warm although snowman building is quite warm work. Will have to find something for fussy children to eat for lunch (Mothers fault as if she doesn't like something she won't cook it ),the youngest is the worst of the two very very fussy.
I shall do my ironing later it will warm me up anyway .
Hope you are all ok and keeping warm.
Lovely to hear that Mummo's Eddie has taken a step.

Ann you will be more comfortable now the offending tooth has been taken out ,hope the soreness goes soon.

BC you have a very fierce glare there, lolol

Jude it doesn't seem possible that your grandchildren are three does it, shame they grow so quickly. Bet they love the snow!
Daff will be around again tomorrow. She is fine.

AnninGlos Report 6 Jan 2010 11:34

You crept in there Ginnie. You have a busy day with the grandchildren, you may have said before but how old are they? It is a shame when theya re fussy eater isn't it? However, lad next door only ever drank milk and ate weetabix and biscuits and plain bread and butter until he was about 10/11, he now eats most things (he is 16) and is a tall healthy lad.

JustGinnie Report 6 Jan 2010 14:30

Children gone home now so I am having a cuppa and a few quiet moments before starting ironing,I don't really mind it as I have a press that cuts the ironing time right down.

Ann my two here are 8 & 6 but I have 4 more in NZ ,15,13,11,and 5 they have been over there for 2 yrs now .

The sun is shining now and everything still looks pretty out the front but the snow out the back is well trampled now but Capt. Snowy looks good out there lolol

Am getting really excited...*dons overall......hums quietly....*gets up ladder......paint brush poised...

Mau at the Coast
where are they coming from I think London has less snow than to the west of Heathrow ie Berkshire, Bucks and Hampshire.
Most of their flights are so far going OK as they have been keeping runways & aircraft clear.

Good Luck and don't worry too much

Linda :o)
