We have the same weather as you AnnG it is so cold too.
Naomi is now home from the hospital after all the tests the best report is she has the most common type of MS and with regular check ups will be able to function as normal for a long time yet. At the moment she can't drive and is on sick leave, my SIL will take her little girls to school at Bodiam and as they live in Staplecross a car is needed, their Dad works so won't be able to do it. It's quite a distance for Di as she and her husband live on the outskirts of Hastings and will do this twice a day until Naomi can drive again.

Morning All
I think we are all suffering the same horrible weather. It was so windy in the night it kept waking me up :-S. Just constant rain now. H&G are on their way and should be here in about an hour.I thought they were coming late this afternoon ,so I have had a bit of a rush to get the bedroom cleaned and bed made up. Bathroom clean ,so that is me done now.I have cut up some beef and mushrooms for a Stroganoff tonight. Hannah is not a fan of Beef so I have got her a Vintage Mac and Cheese .(I hope she likes that !!). There is always one fussy one .
James is mashing up Avocado to have on toast in a minute and then he is going ot help his friend out for a couple of hours. Chris is in Cambridge.I thought he was mad really going in this weather. But there was no stopping him.
Anne ,I did the same thing with my camera and couldn't understand why I couldnt get the connection to fit. LIke you I found the right one in the box !. What are we like.
I am glad to hear Naomi is back home with the family. She will be relieved to know that she will be fine for a long time . Hopefully she will be able to begin driving very soon . What a good job yor SIL is able to do the school run for the girls.
Glad you are really happy with the new boiler Frank. With it being far more efficient than the old one it will probably be a fair bit cheaper to run.
I must go now. I will try and get back again later .I am looking forward to hearing all about the trip to Venice :-D

It's a bit of a nuisance when names repeat themselves AnnG, it makes it that bit harder to find the right ones. Lucky you found the address for your 4th cousin in Australia, hopefully she'll be able to help your second cousin. Good job you looked in the camera box and now have the correct charger, you'll be able to take some nice photo's now.
Hope Hannah and Gareth made it to yours okay Jane and the weather wasn't to bad for their journey. It'll be nice for you to hear all about Venice.
Pleased to hear you're happy with your new boiler Frank, it should save on your bills if you don't need the temperature up so high now.
Good news for Naomi Anne, that was nice of your SIL to offer to do the school runs, until she's able to do them herself again.

Anne that is good news about Naomi if thats the right thing to say. My friend down the road has had MS for years and years now. She was diagnosed with it just after they married. She leads a normal life really just has a numb right leg but she still manages to ride her horses now and then. She keeps about 6 horses and does most of the work herself. They used to keep pigs and she did all the farrowing and artifical insemination and cleaning out.
I'm running late today so I am off now but I just wanted to say that the suns out here now and we had NO wind this morning and its not blowing much now. Plenty of the wet stuff though. Chickens are paddling again.

Afternoon all,
We now have the rain too, it was dry until lunch time and we went and got a few errands done in the dry but it's now tipping it down and the wind seems to be picking up.
Anne, Naomi must be pleased to be home and know that she can function as normal for the time being ,it's good your SIL can take the girls to school until Naomi can drive again , i bet the girls were glad to have mummy home .
AnnG that's good you found the right charger in the end ,we have so many chargers for things here i've put little stickers on them so we know which is which .
The wind woke me abut five this morning Jane it was so gusty . Enjoy your few days with Hannah and Gareth ,i expect they will have lots of photo's of their time in Venice .
Oh dear Ann sounds as if you might need one of those plastic rain hats when you have your hair done :-D they use to sell them in the hair dressers didn't they, i can remember mum having one when she came out of the hair dressers ,i think they use to have plain ones or some with patterns on .
Your going to have a wet shopping day Mel , oh no i see you now have the sun :-D

Mandy we used to laugh and joke about those little rain hats but they were useful, they folded up really small and kept your hair dry when it rained. Yes so many chargers and three of my cameras are more or less the same just updates each time.
Still windy here but the sun is shining so it is hot in the conservatory.
Jane enjoy the travelogue.

Mandy lol.......I remember those hats too! I used to keep those similar plastic shower caps from when I stayed in hotels for work courses and would stick them on my head when painting ceilings. :-) OH decided to drop me off at the hairdresser and said to ring him to collect me when I was done. (it's less than 10 mins from where we live) It's the first time he's done this, but when I rang him there was no answer, so I left a message. :-S :-S I tried his mobile, still no answer, so was panicking a bit by then and wondering whether to ring for a taxi!! I tried the home phone again and he answered that time. By the time he arrived I'd been standing in the wind and was absolutely frozen. He said the home phone hadn't rung the first time and that his mobile was switched off. When we got home my message had recorded but the phone wasn't 'beeping' so I hope that hasn't gone wrong now!
AnnG I have just the same trouble with my charger leads and cameras.......they are all different fittings. I have a TZ60 (good aren't they!), a TZ80 and an FZ1000. I did put a sticker on the one I mainly use and the one for my mobile, like Mandy has done with hers, but the stickers fell off!! I must use something better or coloured rubber bands as it takes ages to find the right cable sometimes.
I seem to have a lot of Joseph and Mary couples in my tree in the 1800s.
That is as good news as it can be about Naomi Anne. OH had a member of staff with MS who was able to function well and keep working. Hopefully, there may be new treatments that come along to help in the future too. I hope she will be able to drive again soon. It will help her to feel she has her life back again with a bit of normality if she can. Very best wishes to her. <3
OH has the results of the annual check (he shouldn't have been getting!) at the docs now, so that's our next errand to see what they say!

Annx I love the TZseries, the 60 and 70 are very similar and I only bought the 70 because when we were on holiday in Dorset my TZ60 went wrong, the lens jammed. I freed itself after we came home though so I still use it sometimes when I want to just carry a camera in town. The difference between the 60 and the 70 is the magnification, the 70 is X30 zoom. The TZ90 is still X 30 but also has several other improvements that I have yet to discover, going from one to the other makes you lazy. I do like the flip up screen on the 90 though makes it easier when needing to get down low and for taking selfies. daughter has the 80. I also have the FZ45 which is a hybrid (halfway between compact and full DSLR. What is the 1000?

Afternoon to you all,
What a horrible day we have had here, blustery wind and constant rain. The sun has just come out, and is blaring through the conservatory windows. I have had to pull the curtain across as I couldn't see the screen.
Eos saw an Advert for Fuchsia hanging baskets from Thompson and Morgan TWO for £18.00. I have been on line, there is no way they show up. So I have given up for today, might try again tomorrow.
Anne I don't envy you sending out waiting for your lift home. I bet you were freezing lol lol. Poor you.
I have never tried Avocado on Toast. It's not something I would fancy. I bet Hannah will be feeling the cold after her trip to Venice.
All these Camara's. and their charges. We find we have ones for phones and others for Kindles. I often get them mixed up trying to put the wrong one in !!! Silly me. ;-) ;-)
Conrad is flying back tomorrow, as it's one of Jan's sisters 60 th Birthday, and he wants to be here to celebrate with the family, on Thursday. I expect he will ring us tomorrow evening.
Good news that Niomi can be treated for the MS. I do hope everything goes well for her.
Well it's time cor a COT. The curry will be had sometime after 6.00 pm. I will be able to sit back and do nothing for a change, while Ros prepares it. <3 <3 <3

Thank you all for your good wishes for Naomi, the girls were so pleased to be back home with their Mum as was the family dog who is as mad as a hatter.
It's stopped raining here now and the sun is out with a clear sky but still windy and cold.
Ann I hope your hair wasn't too ruffled after the wait for the lift home. it always seems longer when you are expecting someone.
I saw the advert in one of my magazines for the hanging baskets with fuchsias, Frank also by Thompson and Morgan and several other offers too Our conservatory always get very hot with the sun on it the two cats spend most of the time in there but I also have blinds so they don't get too hot. It's a Ruby free zone unless I am in there as well
I love Avocados but have never tried them on toast, I usually have one after lunch weekdays, Enjoy your curry Frank

That's nice she got such a welcome home Anne......dogs are 'expert' at welcomes aren't they. ;-) Yes, the hairdressers is on a very high spot with great views, next to Santander's Head Office, so it was really breezy! I didn't get too ruffled though as my hair is very short. :-)
I've booked OH's birthday meal at Pesto for tomorrow lunchtime. The menu looks interesting and I think one of the special menus will suit me where you can choose 3 items from a large list, so mix and match as you like. OH can pick whatever he fancies from the whole menu.
AnnG the FZ1000 is a Bridge camera and my latest one. It is a bit heavy for my liking but does have the flip down viewer you mention. I have still to explore all it's features. I have kept my old pocket ones as I like some of the features on each. I find the TZs are so handy to pop in your pocket. The TZ80 has a 30x zoom too but no flip down viewer.
Frank, the new boilers are much better and I think like us you will find it cheaper on gas too! Good for Ros joining these different things. It's good to try them and meet new people. I keep wondering whether to join the art group that meets in the village hall in the next village or whether I would find it too distracting to have people see what you are doing.
OH's results were all fine which is good, but he just needed an extra blood test for his thyroid.
I love Avocados but also haven't tried them on toast. I like them sliced up in a salad or use them instead of butter or spread in sandwiches.
It's been dry here for a couple of hours now and the wind has dropped so I wonder if GARETH has run out of steam in these parts.

Fancy G leaving you out in the wind after your hair appointment. These men, my one says he shall have to put his phone on charge because I am going out incase I ring him and then leaves it indoors whenhe is in the garden. I often ring him to see if he wants a tool I see in LIdl and never get an answer on his mobile because the voice mail comes in before he can answer it. It makes me so cross. He won't take it out with him when he is mowing because he ran over one once and it exploded on the grass and was in bits and peices when we cound it. He said he wondered what the bang was!
I went to Bideford in sunshine and while I was in there the sun shone and not much wind either. When I spoke to the lady on the till she said they had terrible rain this morning and wind. When I got home it was still sunny but oh had had a huge hail shower as it was all on things in the garden and up against sheltered places. It has got a bit windier now though and when I shut the girls in just at dusk there was a few tiny snow flakes blowing in the wind which were picked up in my headlight.
Glad oh's test were ok Ann (that he should'nt have) so now its just the one for his thyroid and with the eye drops stopping soon he should be ok now and back to normal.
I HATE avocados but oh likes them but it something I never buy. I don't like aubegines either even when we grew our own and oh dos'nt really like those either.
So Anne your conservatory is a Ruby free zone is it? Is that because of the cats?
My new camera is a Canon 40X zoom and it has wi-fi. I don't know how to use it properly and hate having to read instrutions as I forget what I red in the first place and have to keep going back over things so I suppose I don't use it to its full ability but as long as I can point it at what I want and take a pic thats ok with me.
Bet Jane is having a great time looking at Gareth's and Hannah's pics and hearing all about what they did and what they saw. Jane will want to go back there again as she loves Venis.
Oh has his curry tonight and I am having a cod in butter sauce with mash and peas.

They do often take better pics as you say AnnG. I'm another one with wi fi that hasn't a clue! lol. If I remember right those plastic hats folded like a concertina didn't they? I know mum had one for rainy weather, as she had one of those bouffant hairstyles in the 60s and had a weekly trip to the hairdresser.
Yes, what are these men like Mel!! I've told him to make sure his mobile is on as well in future. I'm not convinced he always hears the house phone.........well if he can't hear me shouting him from the next room............ :-S :-S!! The poor chickens needing wellies again. There were lots of huge puddles all across the road when we were out, so I wondered if it was bad when you went shopping Mel? Did you manage to get everything you wanted today?

Yes got everything I wanted today and more as usual.
I don't know what the wi-fi does on the camera either but I do know mine fiddles about and makes noises at me. I took a pic of the geese on the lake down the big house a few days ago and then one of where I can see the lake from the back door. In the pic of the lake from the back door you can hardly see the lake unless like me you know where it is but it did show up the geese a bit when I zoomed in.

Morning Mel, morning all
Cloudy and windy here Mel, but not as windy as last night. OH's just gone and picked up next door's wheelie bins as they had blown over. I'm glad he weighted the polystyrene down or that would of been all over our garden again, the workmen were there yesterday and put a load more on top of the skip, needless to say it didn't stay there very long and we had it as decoration all over our front garden. I'm pleased to see it didn't blow out again.
No workmen next door so far today, they seem to have slowed right down, at this rate the new neighbours will be lucky to move in by Christmas. We haven't seen them for a while so think they maybe on holiday, which would explain why only one job has been done in over a week.
I finally finished going through a family tree I had access to last night, so that's the Australian bit of my tree sorted. I'm sure there's more to add but they are living people so I can't go any further. I'm going to go through another part of my tree today to see if I can break down another wall. I have quite a few to choose from.
I see your OH left you standing in the wind yesterday Ann, pleased to see it didn't ruffle your hair and you made it home okay, if a little cold. I see your OH's test were all fine, that's good. My OH is the same and hardly ever hears his mobile.
Your poor chickens Mel getting wet feet again, I bet they'll be glad to be in their new home once your OH has finished it.
Going to get a cuppa, then take a look at my family tree while it's quiet.

Morning All,
A bit breezy but dry here Mel. I did some washing last night, but it doesn't look promising for putting it out.
Better get showered next. I need to pay a cheque in the bank and pop to offload a couple of bags at the charity shop before we go for lunch. Oh oh, it's raining again so I'll leave the charity shop drop till it's dry again or I'll get soaked walking to the shed where you leave stuff. The washing will have to wait as well. :-S
Didn't see you there Gill! Those silly workmen should have a big tarpaulin over the skip shouldn't they. It must be the same wherever they need a skip for the work they do.

Good morning Mel, Gill and all you others,
Very windy here and we have had light showers, so not putting my nose out there today. Thank goodness for my Kindle and the books.
Tracy has just bought Abbie round while she is working. She will be back around 3.00 pm. I expect Ros will spoil her while she is here. she just loves her.
Ros has made a leak pie for tonight (an old Earls Barton favourite) It's very nice if you haven't tried it, and so easy to make. We just have it with Mashed Potatoes. Tomorrow she is at the NEC, so is making a "BOILED ONION ROLL: today which I can put on tomorrow afternoon, and have it ready for when she gets home. Then she will be off to Choir Practice.
Don't talk to me about Camera's, I had one bought for me by Conrad and Jan. I used it a lot when on my walks down the Canal. But now I am using the APPLE MAC. I don't know how to transfer the Photo's from the camera to the MacBook.. I expect it's something one of the boys can show me, if I remember to ask. !!! Where as on my old laptop, I had a little slot to put the card. (or whatever you call it) Shows how technical I am. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Did Hannah and Gareth turn up safe and sound Jane, and I expect you had a LATE NIGHT listening to all their adventures. :-D :-D :-D
I am the same with my Mobile, I rarely remember to take it our with me. Eos has just put some money on it, and charged it up. When I do go out, I bet I forget it. !!!!
Had a beautiful shower this morning, I put the heater on in the bathroom, and had the water hotter than usual, It really bought me to life, to the extent, that allI want to do now is have a few zzzz.
Conrad flys in tomorrow then flys to Manchester on Friday for a Property Exhibition that his company has a stand, and he will meet up with the various agents he has in this Country. He said it's hard work now, what with BREXIT, but I don't doubt he will get through it. He has done it for so long now, I don't know what else he could do. :-( :-( :-(
Well Coffee is calling and a late bite to eat. Have a "NICE DAY" speak again soon. xxxx
