Morning all.....shhhhhhhh she's still asleep, and I am having a quiet cuppa, lol

Bampie is back to work today..... I am expecting a few tears.... from him and Princess, lololol

We are going to visit Gt Gran and Gt Grampie today...... and also go and do some shopping for dinner.... and back to the park... and then have roast beef and yorkshire pudding for dinner!!

It is a bit dull here, but it has been a very muggy night.... I hope the weather is fine, as it makes trips out much better.

Well.... I can hear her coming down the stairs with Bampie........ who she calls Buddy, lol Buddy is her favourite bunny who has to go everywhere with her....... so I had better go and start her brekkie.

Hope you all have a lovely day

~~~~~~~~ to Maz and everyone
Love
Hi Daff and all,
so glad you are having a lovely time with little one, she will grow up so fast so all these special times are precious aren't they? I can't wait!
I didn't get out yesterday so there wasn't much for hedgehogs last night, just some bread which I soak, and left over baked beans which they don't seem to like much lol (imagine a hedgehog with wind lol) and some nights they don't seem to turn up so I had thought the same, maybe wean them off so they don't rely on me totoally. There is lots of vegetation around with insects and slugs and snails, and we aren't using slug pellets now so I am sure they will find lots to eat anyway and I will slow the feeding down a bit over the coming weeks. Not sure if we will go away as after Sunday's strop, I told him I wasn't sure I wanted to go away with him anyway and he hadn't made the effort to come on the computer Saturday evening as we had planned to look through some of the places I had earmarked so no decisions as yet and in 5 weeks it will be the first week of the holiday. I can see us ending up at Heacham after all if she hasn't rebooked it with anyone else, but I will not be cooking every night that's for sure. Am going to make him grovel, am giving him the cold shoulder but he is getting his own back as his knee is really swollen and he is not able to bend it to cycle so he is taking the car to get to work, leaving me sort of stranded. The bus only goes to certain areas and I had a lot of errands to do all over the place. Oh well, more time on here instead lol
take care folks, and hope the weather stays nice for little one's visit and for all the children and staff on school hols and for anyone taking holidays here. I bet it's saving the rain for the last two weeks in September!!!
Evening Daff and all:-) I have tried three times to post message on your thread, Daff, but GR went all Oopsie on me...lol...and refused to allow me. Have had exhausting but nice day, went to the park, the swings and stuff, doggie attacked by bigger dog but all ended ok, and master F gave the owner a piece of his mind...lol...then we watched the filming of a Bollywood movie in the park,fed the ducks and came home to egg and chips. Then a visit from friend with her three children....soooooo....all is quiet right now:-)
I meant to thank Mau for her great onion chopping, clearing up techniques, and wonderful outfit which was so realistic that several inebriated party goers asked for her medical assistance...lol......
The bride and groom spent the night at a wonderful castle and were woken this morning by the gentle sound of a bat circling the room....
Hope you are not as exhausted as I am, Daffy!
Liz, dont stand behind the hedgehogs if you give them baked beans. It could be highly dangerous. I have a picture of it in my head now, prickles flying and you jumping to avoid them. Thanks for cheering me up.
Daff, hope the heat isn't tiring you out - it's been sooo hot here in Norwich but I called Kathy by the sea and poor girl had her heating on!
Huia, gave the hedgehogs more beans and chicken catfood tonight but as I went out to dish it up, one was already there eating the left over bread that I had put out early, it was rock hard bless him. He wasn't happy at me watching him and before I could turn and go in again he had scuttled away. I hoped he would return at the smell of the food but doesn't seem to have been any visitors since I put it out.
Take care everyone,specially Daff
Strange that Daff hasn't at least popped on to say Hi but children can be wearing so she is probably going to bed when littley does.
Jude, I just caught sight again of your posting at the top of p112, and I wondered if I could get one of those plastic collars big enough to stop me getting at my itch! I dont think mine is caused by fleas though.
Anybody any good at drawing a cartoon of me in such a thing and of Liz jumping up to avoid the darts when her hedgehogs eat the b.beans and f***? Only problem would be to post them on here. Pity they dont have a decent photo page.
Morning everyone... sorry, I have done it again, haven't I?
I have been sooooo busy, and fallen into bed at night by about 9pm, lol!! And have got up with Madam in the morning and let everyone sleep in. That felt like our special time.... all the washing, showering and dressing, plus really fun (but sedate!!) stuff as well.
I did start putting up a post.... but Princess fiddled around with it, and it disappeared... as did the photos I'd just put on the pc... fortunately, they were still in my camera, and B found them filed away, lol The photos, anyway!
B and S left yesterday tea time... so we had a busy morning packing and going out to the park - she didn't want to go, lol, and why should she? she has a slide, play tunnel, fantasy tents, ball pool, paddling pool, sand and waterplay table, bike, scooter, hose, bucket and spade and her own watering can (I have some fabulous photos, I am about to scrapbook them!!) and an adoring team of playmates right here here, lol We went for an hour, and then she wanted to go back..... she went off on her way home as happy as a sandboy... she was going on the train to see mummy, and was beaming with delight! I have to say, I was't!! I was quite teary, lol... although part of me did sigh a small sigh of relief... I was so shattered, lol
I was in bed by nine, but couldn't sleep until they were back... they were back in their house by 11.15.
Slept until 10.30, lol...... woke briefly twice, but that was it...... It was strange not having her come in and snuggle for that first 10 minutes or so, and I have missed having our special time in the morning, when she had her brekkie, and shower, and we chose her clothes for the day... and played!!
So, yes, it has been so busy.... and very very tiring. I have had orders from R not to do too much today.. so I have decided to do a scrapbook page in her album. I have gathered all the stuff I want to use... including some of her scribblings... I am going to scan those and make them smaller, and then use some of them as background for the page... It'll be a double page, I think... far too much for a single page!!
Right... I haven't caught up with all the thread yet... will be back in a mo when I have done so!!
Love
BC... I can just see your littlie giving the bigger dog's owner a piece of his mind, lolol..... hope owner was suitably chastened and learned his or her lesson!! Only a few more days of exhaustion, and you will be able to sleep for a week, lol Hope your dog is ok? How is her eye now? It sounds like a wonderful time was had by all...
Liz, I can just see the look of disgust sent your way at those measly offerings, lololol... not that they were measly, of course, but you have been feeding them gourmet, lol!! I hope you get your holiday booked soon.... R has some time off at the end of August, and again at the end of September, we aren't sure whether to go away or not in Sept..... we would most likely go to Blackpool or Scarborough, but I don't think I could do them both, like I used to be able to do... to Blackpool first for two nights, then to Scarborough for two, then home. We'll see. I may even decide to go to Morthoe, in North Devon... I want to take some photos of a memorial stone in the churchyard there. Again, we'll see.
Huia... I am giggling here at the image of you in a collar, trying to leap out of the way of hedgehog trumps.......
Jude, S and I planted the seeds yesterday morning... well, the ones that were in going into pots, anyway... she watered them in, as well...... and then crouched down staring intently at them waiting for them to grow, I think, lolol! When it was time to go, she solemnly went around every plant and toy, and waved goodbye, blew a kiss... but the pots she planted, and the sandtable, got extra special treatment, so we presume they were the best bits, lol!!
Jean it was chucking it down here when I started this... and now it is boiling... the sun is shining, and I need to open some windows or I shall fry!!
~~~~~ to Maz

Hiya Joy.... my thoughts are with you, too......... take care, mwah!

Lol Ann... I feel such a wuzz, getting this tired, lolol.... it is almost as tiring, just watching them... I took her out on my own just the once..... I was exhausted, even though she was as good as gold! Mostly, it was R and I, while B did his own thing....... he is primary carer, so enjoyed the break, I think. He read at least 3 books, which he doesn't get time to do at home... he reads in pretty much the same way as I do... would prefer to read in one or two sittings, not a couple of lines each night.... and like me, he is dangerous if he has a book in his hand, as he is oblivious to everything going on around him... so to have uninterrupted reading time is a luxury.

Well... let's go and get *stuck* in, lolololol ;¬))

Love

Daff, Of course it is exhausting looking after little ones. When you take them out on your own it is not only the physical tiredness but the mental strain of being responsible for somebody else's child. We used to have the 3 boys for a week every summer and the worry was always, what if something happens. You feel doubly responsible for them. so you are not a wuss.

I loved the 'get stuck in' not taking that too literally I hope Lol1!!!
