You looked lovely though.... certainly not overweight.... you must be comfortably in the *good* zone for your height.

But I know what you mean... I used to feel bloated and fat very easily when I was skinnier.

And sister H is always whingeing about her fat tummy... like, where exactly would that be??? She looks fabulous, the witch, lolol!! And she eats for Britain, and the rest of Europe!!

Good morning dear Daffy and all:-) I got back from Ireland last night so ust catching up now. I am sure you had a really lovely time with your family Daff and that your health and garden are simply blooming! I had a wonderful time, perfect weather and the west of Ireland looked quite magical as it is normally seen through a misty rain! Saw all my relatives, a twig burst our radiator in a small town so we had to stop for several hours to get it repaired. And last, but not least, we ended up with my lovely grandchildren. Duly kidnapped them and spent long hours on the nearby beach. One evening we had five lobsters for our supper, donated by the lovely fisherman who lives next door to them. Delicious!

My patio has been watered by a friend and next door neighbour, so it hasn't wilted (much) in the sun. Am now off to collect doggie from her Hotel:-)

Happy Wednesday:-) BCXXX

Oooh BC, lobsters how lovely - scrumptious! glad you had a wonderful time.

Daff, actually I am in the overweight band for my height (sob"). H is wonderfully slim isn't she?

It is the 23rd July Daff (71)!!!!!

Morning all... I have been in the garden this morning.... I sit for two minutes, then spy yet another ball from the ball pool, lol.

I haven't done much... one load of washing, but can't open the shed door to get my washing line out, lol... put the dishwasher on, and started to round up all the toys still scattered around the house and garden... I couldn't bring myself to do it any sooner, lol..... when there are toys scattered around it feels like one or other of the girls will come giggling around a corner.... they leave a big hole when they go home, don't they??

Hiya BC....... brilliant to see you back.... is your little doggie talking to you or is she a sulker? lol I used to have one of each!

we have decided to spend a few days in Scarborough and Blackpool, probably late August or early September..... that's where the little darlings live! I am also looking at holiday cottages in Devon for next year.... they can come and join us, plus I can rummage around in one particular cemetary where I know there is a lovely headstone dedicated to ancestors,,,, 3 x gt grandparents and their babies..... about 7 of them, I think... only 3 survived into adulthood.

I am now off to the practice nurse to have my BP checked.... hopefully I'll still be all chilled and won't need any tablets!!

Ann, that really surprises me! By the by... you gave me two lovely little plants... beautiful heart shaped reddish leaves, small... I don't know what they are??? But I love the leaf..... and a heuchera! I left mine in Gloucester! I've taken some seeds of all the aquilegia, and will pot them on ready for you......

Taff, I have some bush thingies, too!!

Well, must go.... I'll see you later.

Love

heart shaped leaf plants are violets Daff, you will have to pull up runners to contain them but they are pretty in spring. We have several heucharas but that was the only one that had sent out a baby.

I bet you will go on finding those balls too!

Ann... that is soooo appropriate for me... did you know?? I don't think I have ever seen a *proper* one, then... just the African ones, lol.... I have just ordered Lily of the Valley and the perennial sweetpea for *that* spot by the shed........ I might live to regret it if they both like the spot, but what the heck!!

~~~~~~~~ waves to Jean... just replied xxxxxx
BP is up... have to start the pills again :¬((
No, didn't know it was appropriate for you!
Not surprised that BP is up, you said it has always been high, we ought to start a club for all those on BP tablets!!
You said, I think, that you were reading a Marian Keyes book, which one?
Hiya Ann... *The Charming Man*.
I have read most of her books... they are an enjoyable, funny and well written read... quite light hearted, but almost always with a thread of seriousness running through...... this one deals with domestic violence, and politics!! The humour never distracts from the serious bits.... and the serious bits never descend into maudle (ok ok, I know that probably isn't a word, but it should be, cos I think it is a good one, lol)
MrDaff Report 1 Jul 2009 16:06
*sigh* I was hoping to go 6 months off them..... but it was so nice to be off ALL drugs for a while, lol.... at least I am not back on the same strength I was on before.... I have to take 5mg of Amlodopine, and 10mgs of Lisinoplril.... I was on the Amlodopine and 20 mgs of Lisinopril until February, and back in two weeks to check all is ok... my social life seems to be revolving around the NHS at the moment, lololol!! ;¬))
Late afternoon all!
Put me down for the BP Club! I have a small tab.each morning - I expect if I kicked the nicotine habit I could also kick the BP tab! ))))) hey ho.................one thing at a time!
Had a day off today and spent the entire day on the allotment - I've burnt me shoulders, despite liberally applying sunscreen. Just had a shower and when I look in the mirror I see a sort of panda creature - the white bits are soooooooooo white, and the rest are so.................well red really! so attractive - NOT!
Grand-chooks were pleased to see their grannie, cos she had brought them a treat! cooked spaghetti! they will attack you for it - lol lol lol so funny to see them diving in - Pollo a la Spaghetti is the new dish of the day!
Love this warm weather - hate to think it's going to rain! Please make the rain stay away!
Nice to see BC back and enjoyed her hols. bet little doggie is pleased too - of course there will be the usual "dont bother with me, cos I'm not speaking to you, cos you left me, and I didnt get my usual routine attended to, and I didnt like the grub, and their walks were rubbish, and the dog in the next room had BO, and the girl assigned to me told me she preferred bull-mastifs, and.........so on and so on" )))))
Off to water the garden now - I shall be so annoyed if it rains!
You all take care.
Morning Daff and all:-) Another hot and sweaty night! lol Thanks for the welcome back, everyone. Jac, my dog was only moderately glad to see me! But was suitably grateful when I sponged her down and made her a collar from a wet dishcloth. Normally she hates water but this heat is too much for her.
My runner beans have now wound right over my parasol and up the handle! Soooo funny so I shall leave them there. The spuds are ready to dig, I think:-))
Well...*gulps....today I get the tattoo done. Hope I don't let myself down and faint on the poor man and also hope he has learnt that I do not want a carp or piranha fish but....ah well it's in the lap of the gods now...l.....pmsl....
Have a good day everyone.
