MrDaff Report 19 Jun 2009 15:47

Just reporting in... seeing as I was AWOL!!

Sisters came yesterday to help me shift stuff around... I did lunch, and one sister vacuummed hall for me... well..... I have been trying on and off to get back online, my mobile phone has been going constantly, and folk telling me they had been trying to get through on my landline.....this thicko never gave it a thought, not even when I couldn't get online.... went to clinic this morning, got back from clinic, and tried to log on again... still nothing... good thing R is home... he checked, and sister has knocked the switch off on the extension lead while she was doing my swearing, lol....serves me right for being a lazy blob!!... so I had no phone and no internet, lol!!

Still, I'm here now... bloods remain more or less the same.. bug zappers are down, as are the clotters, so I have to take care again... but red blood is brilliant, lol so they are well pleased, as this shows that though it might be on a go-slow, the marrow is still working.

I have to go back in 2 weeks, when they will decide if I need another bone marrow biopsy... I do so hate those, lol!!

Jude, I shall go and read your thread in a mo.... Glad you had such a brilliant time!!

BC, poor dog... they do know, don't they? Hope you had loads of lovely talk-time with your son..... I see both of mine next week... we have just put the new beds up for our granddaughters, and the new bedding... and the new lampshade..... and the butterfly stickers all over the wall...... I am going back to get the rugs, lamp and bin tomorrow, lol

Mamiddau... aw, bless him!! You need my little S with you... she is a dab hand at making things better... she believes in a good kick or thump if it doesn't work properly, lol I can't wait to see her next week..... and M, they haven't seen each other for a year now..... I have doubled up on all the toys... they both have the same favourites, lol!!

Taff... you wouldn't be sleeping like that if you didn't need to.... which reminds me, have you had the results from the sleep clinic yet?

I must go and have a dance around the boards.... see you all later,

Love

Taff Report 20 Jun 2009 06:43

Morning Daff, now you know what happens when you go awol..........mass panick!!LOL
So, your still kicking those bugs then? Thats brilliant news! We all knew you could do it ! Fingers crossed now that you wont need "the big guns" to help you.
As for the results of the sleep (or lack of it) test, no I havent heard a peep yet, I dont suppose they'll bother till my next app,. in Aug,.
I have made my mind up now, I've had this for 30+years now, and am getting to long in the tooth to be playing "lab rat". so I wont be participating in any more of their tests, and I'll tell the top Doc,. this in Aug,.!( so there!!).
Well, son went out last night to "wet the babies head"........His mates partner had a baby girl......and it got me thinking................when are my 2 lads going to give me somemore grandchildren? Seeing as ones is still in bed snoring, and the other hasnt come home yet, maybe its to early for them?Hmmmm.
Anyway,
Love as always

Morning all... morning Taff!! I had to wait til I was over 50 for my first, lol.... but she was well worth the wait... the second came along a year later... well, they are just sooooooo perfect.. and so different!! My boys were in their 30's!!

I don't think I shall be having more grandchildren, though, so will lavish everything onto these two little darlings!

I am off out to buy a new mower... ours is a huge beastie of a machine, and ok for the grotty areas... we have had it about 19 years and it has never been serviced, but I can't pull the thingummy cord... it'd petrol!! Anyways, I want a smart new little hover, one that will do my miniature new bowling green justice, lol And that I can use myself, lol

We have also run out of muck and stuff to put on the new flower beds.... I haven't got the flowers to plant them up yet, but might have to put that on hold until next month... I have sooooo much to do before the family comes to stay on Thursday.... R is home all week to help, though... so I promise I shall just direct operations, and let him do all the heavy stuff ;¬)))

Well... the sun is coming out to play...... what a difference!! Sister cleaned half of the inside of the conservatory windows for me while I was at the clinic yesterday..... I did the other half last week, but was too knackered to finish it....... and the sun is no longer showing up all the muck and grime cos they are all sparkly clean....

See you all later,

Love

Just a quick hallo from the damp lake district, managed to get on line in the hallway of daughters apartment while they are doing the garden - they have joined us for the weekend. Hope you are all well, weather was great until Wednesday and has been wet and windy and patchy sun ever since. Home tomorrow.

Huia Report 21 Jun 2009 05:37

It has been a beautiful fine day today, although there was a nippy breeze straight off the South Pole. We went to a beach and helped to weed a shellbank where the endangered dotterel nests. They are in full breeding plumage at the moment, although all I saw of them was 2 flying off. We had to remove the buffalo grass which would eventually cover the whole shellbank, leaving nowhere for the birds to nest. There would have been 40 - 50 people doing it.

Huia Report 21 Jun 2009 05:39

Now if only I could get half those people to come and help weed my garden and tidy things up! We have a bit over an acre of land and my garden is a right proper mess. I have virtually given up on it.

Good Morning Daff and Ann and Huia and Maz:-) And a Happy Summer Solstice to you all. The weather is warm and cloudy here and it's strange not to have the dog to drag to the park! lol..My patio is in full glorious garish bloom right now and am hoping it wont die while I am away. My neighbour has promised to water when necessary.....*frets... hope she wont stop the runner beans which have decided to grow up and across the parasol.

My son and girlfriend have just woken me up from a deep sleep (he had forgotten his keys)...they said they were ringing the bell for an hour...hehe..I forgot to tell them I was celebrating with my pal last night but they tripped over a few bottles so I think they worked it out......

Hope you all have a good day and that Daffy is not doing too much before her family arrive.

Bye for now BC XXX

Morninng all... looks lovely today... we bought lots of manure and topsoil yesterday.. R will go back for the compost later... but today will be spent in the garden. Loads of deadheading... and weeding!! Huia, I think I have some of your weeds, as well! We also bought a few plants for the shady spot, and some veggie plants.... plus loads of seeds. We have decided to put the seeds into pots... which is why we need the compost. We have beetroot, a variety of lettuce, carrots, cauliflower and swede seeds, and small plants are:- onion, beans, sugar snap peas, ordinary peas, and sweetcorn. We bought a little hover mower... reduced in B & Q... and yesterday I walked barefoot in the grass for the first time... it is so thick and green and lush!! Scrummy!! Today it will have a haircut, and by next Saturday it will be lush agan, ready for the little ones to roll around in it!!

Well, I have washing to hang put and roses to deadhead... see you all later... have a lovely day!!

~~~~~~~ to BC.... I love to see plants find their own way up and over things, lol... I have bought a new clematis, and hope it will eventually find it's way onto the hawthorn shrubs that border our garden under the horse chestnut...... maybe even venture into that, as well..... The beans and peas over the trellis dividing the *side* from the *front-side* lol xxxxxx have a lovely day... and enjoy your visit home! Mwah.
