Dropped the car off (9.50), walked back home, they were supposedly starting it at 10.15, not heard anything yet, is that ominous do you think???? T now fretting as they were originally going to do a service and he cancelled it, he thinks the cancellation may not have been noted!!!! Annoying as we can't start anything as I need to drive him down to pick it up - we did walk back but he doesn't fancy walking to pick it up, can't think why!!!

Just been to pick it up, had to have 2 windscreen wipers, obviously Swansea was just too much for it Lol!!!!

Got 3 'advisories' as well!!

Just a little white lie Daff???? You're 25 I am 40 Lol!! I wish!

I just rang Daff for a quick query, and she had been feeding her tribe. Little one was almost ready to fly off on her scooter, knee and elbow pads on and presumably her helmet, it had taken several pairs of hands to fit together the scooter and apply all the stickers, but I bet Daff, you had a tear in your eye as she tried her scooter for the first time. Then there will be the same procedure tomorrow for second little granddaughter, I bet there is so much joy and laughter in your home over the next few days, after such a difficult time. Have a super time.

well, as long as she wore her knee and elbow pads and a helmet in case she fell off.

I once had a scooter, must be all of 65 yrs ago. I didnt have any knee/elbow pads or helmet. I dont remember falling off but I do remember when the running board broke and I took the bits home for dad to fix. Dads can do anything. Except that he said he couldnt fix it. It shattered my illusion about dads and I was heart broken that it couldnt be fixed :(((

You are right Huia we didn't use to have all these protective bits and pieces and we are all still here!! I had a scooter too, it had a brake on the back, I remember that, made your legs ache too!

Happy Birthday Daff, have a lovely day!

Such a shame they didn't get Daff sized pads lol I had a go on my brother's scooter once and came off it, limped home with blood pouring down my shin and have the scar to this day! No protective clothing in those days, I was wearing shorts, was about 8 I think!
