Good Morning Flower, From Sunny Swansea!
yes, the forecast is good for saturday, I just looked at the 5 day forecast for your area, as Ann Glos says 22 degrees.
I bought a sithe ?, sythe ?.....Grim reaper looking thing, to cut the top of the garden yesterday, well, I,me not, son is!! Says a lot for the state of it!!LOL but it will add loads more space...which I really dont need, but will make the field look tidier!
After reading through some thread, I'me not sure if I should be posting on my own thread, as its not about geneology!! So you wern't feeling to good yesterday then Daff? (nothing much gets past my beady eye LOL).
So heres your orders for today.....Take it EASY!!!!!

Morning Daffers and all!

Looks like it might be a nice day again today? bit cloudy at the moment but set to improve. I love the summer.

It's hair cut day today (thank heavens) and I shall be relieved of the busby that is my mop! I swear my hair is getting thicker as I get older(((

Spend all yesterday, which was a lovely day, at the hospital with friend in the Oncology Dept. The place was packed and it's an "internal" room so no windows - very depressing actually. Why on earth dont "they" (the powers that be) provide pleasant surroundings for folk who arent feeling too good? Friend starts her chemo in a week or so's time so I guess I shall be on here less.

If I dont get an opportunity before-hand, I'm wishing you a wonderful birthday Daff on Saturday - with some scrummy grub, lovely company and an hilarious day with family and friends. I shall be thinking of you.

I have some plants to put in so had better do that before it gets too hot for them (reduced busy Lizzies we got at the Garden centre Monday.

Morning all!! Bright and sunny here... Ann, I didn't see that last night.... I'll go and have a looksee in a mo!! Thank you... I still have plants to put in.... what bit about *fine tilth* does my garden not understand? There are still solid clumps of clay perched decorously in the midst of all that lovely manure (well rotted, but attractive to flies, horseflies and all the local felines, including my own, lol) And I want to put my sweetcorn, kidney beans, sugar snap peas and podded peas in!! Do you reckon they'll be ok?

Morning Jac... pass on my well wishes, and loads of positivity to your friend, from me, if you don't mind, please? I know what you mean about depressing surroundings... the day clinic here is pretty much the same! Thank you for my birthday wishes.... I have just ordered a coach to bring my family from Cardiff, lol.... that should be fun...trying to round them up is a nightmare!!

Lol Taff...and Ann.... I am much better today.... my sister has managed to get my gynae appointment brought forward, and I slept like a log last night, so feel really good!! I have some lovely images of you as the flippin grim reaper waving your scythe around, lololol

Daff...we have clay soil and we dug in aload of top soil a neighbour did'nt want, it was from a pig farm so not quite top soil...lol also bags of compost and its great now :o))

Jude, mine is almost estuary clay, lol.... and not been dug before.... it is beginning to break down... but it is hard work!! Next year it will be lovely!!

Well.... I have just finished the shopping... well, most of it!! All the booze and soft drinks will be here between 11 and 1 on Friday.... and all the salad and gateau, puddings and cheeses etc will be here Sat morning between 9 and 11......... sister has dropped off a huge bag of homegrown potatoes....... not hers, a friend of my nieces..... so I'll do potato salad Friday evening.... and I'll get the salmon, beetroot, and chicken pieces, ham etc tomorrow when I get my boobs squashed in Tesco car park... I kid you not!! lol

So all is sorted!! Ish, lololol

finally got on to say hello I love my son but he pinches the pc when he is in lol

Hi Daff glad to see you are ok. Well we have had our first lettuces and couple of small carrots oh couldnt wait to try them lol he is getting into this gardening as just had 2 compost bins delivered.
Life is busy at moment but soon finish work in 3 weeks for school hols then can relax a bit.

Been looking at the pics of the meet at last, thanks Taff, and you look fantastic, love the hairdo! Was good to see faces I remembered from before.

Also been looking at pics of Ann's lovely garden, so will hope to see some of yours soon as well, just so I can pinch some ideas lol I will get round to packing you some cyclamen thingies soon but will wait till you have got over the weekend and such first, it's hard to know when to pack them so I can go straight out and post them, not sure somedays whether I can have car or not or if I will feel up to driving.

Take things easy now, I suppose your poor hubby is on spud duty?

Good morning all, good to see you on here Sue. Daff hope you are not planning to do too much today. We have to take T's car for MOT today (2 in one week!) so hope it passes. We plan to walk back (2-3 miles for the exercise but it is looking a bit grey so hope it is not going to rain on us!!!!

Morning everyone... it is a little bit grey today, but I have a smile from ear to ear, lol... Son, DiL and granddaughter arrive about 3.30pm... we have just had a call to say they are safely on the train... I think they change at Manchester.

Ann, I promise to take it easy!! All those coming on Saturday will not be looking at my cobwebs, lol.... as long as they enjoy themselves, I'll be a happy bunny!!

Liz, I am not, really... I make lists, start off with every intention..... and then get sidetracked partway through, so nothing ever gets completed, lol!! Please don't worry about the cyclamen.... whenever you are ready, and maybe even next time we meet up... don't you dare get yourself het up over it!!

Sue, it's good to see you... I had problems last week, too.... but one of my sisters caused it with my vacuum cleaner, lol Glad all is well with you, though.

Hiya Star... I haven't sowed lettuce yet... just swede, cauli and carrot.... and those only a few days ago. I bought some sweetcorn, runner bean, peas and sugarsnaps which needed to be planted in, and some of them R put in pots for me yesterday..... I am having a problem getting the garden to understand *fine tilth* lol!!

I'll put the beetroot into pots on Sunday with the girls.... they can have that with their Christmas presents, then, lol

I know, Maz.... B, my older son will have use of my laptop... which I find heavy to lug around now. In fact, my DiL needs something, so I might give it to her, as I rarely use it anymore... I'd prefer my pc.

Well, must just go and turf cats out of the spare double bedroom, and clean all their hair up..... Hermie loves the window sill, and is long haired, so does shed everywhere!
