Phew!! *wipes sweaty brow with hem of t shirt*... new trick granddaughter showed me, only she wipes her nose... her t shirt, your t shirt, the hem of your best Ascot outfit, anything will do rather than a tissue!!

IIt has taken me ages to get on here, and I am using my laptop which is sooooo slow!

We had a series of power cuts yesterday evening, going into late last night... the one happened just as I was logged on, and now my pc is poorly ill... well, dead, actually!! Or at the very least in a coma!

I have tried the rescue disc, shouting at it, threatening it with the direst of consequences... but it just sits there, lifeless and totally unmoved by all my heartfelt pleas and cajoling.

So, I remembered my laptop....... connected it all..... and Kaspersky told me to get lost, it wasn't playing cos my data base is now obsolete!! And guess where the details of my update are kept???? Yep.... on my pc, which is still in a coma.*sigh*

So...... I put my shoes on, and there was a splinter of glass in them... ouch!! Tried to put my washing line up (it is a rotary line, and I put it into one of those sun umbrella stands, it was taken down cos I had visions of one of the kids getting all tangled up and garrotting themselves on it!!) but have the strength of a goldfish, and can't lift it today. Grrrrrrr!!

Then a lightbulb moment........ in a moment of madness, I had endured a sanity attack, and had entered all the log/key/access stuff on the first page of the destruction manual!! So..... next step was to find said tome. House is looking more ransacked than usual now, but I found it!! And it took half an hour to chunter through all the necessary bits and bobs, with my poor beleaguered admonitory digit (also my typing digit) poised ready to strike the correct thingies when told to.

And here I am... I started trying to play at slightly after 9am. I am ready for my lunch now. And then I shall have to go and retrieve Jethro from the garage...... he wouldn't come out, the wretch!

And then I shall lie down in a darkened room for a while, lol!

BC, poor little thing...... My GSD used to feel the heat... we would put ice cubes into her bowl of water. And hose her down... she loved it! Bless her, the memories catch you out every so often. Good luck with your tattoo. *Bates breath, awaiting Sky news reports of dear old lady getting tattoos of tartan shopping trollies whilst asleep under the needle* ;¬))

Keep your fingers crossed the tumble dryer is still wanting to play....... it looks like rain now, even if I get the stand into a suitable spot.

Off now........ to find sommat else that doesn't work!!.. oh.. the light for the oil thingy is coming back on again!! On my car.

Love

Daff xxxxx

Sooo is it you who has jinxed my PC then???? Data D still showing full even though it shouldn't be, PC man on holiday until next week (typical). am assured by himself that data D being full doesn't affect the rest of the PC so am ploughing on. actually have been in to see nice footy man (chiropodist0 and had a look round town, soooo hot on the bus. still didn't really notice after the bottle of Chardonnay we shared. still scorching sun here and very very hot.

Morning Daff and all and good luck at the clinic today:-) Grey, sultry morning here,must have been a storm in the night as the dog *glares at said dog* peed on the carpet again. I had a wonderful sleep, all that pain at the tattooist must have sent me off. I also dug up my spuds yesterday and they were so delicious...all from one sprouty little spud! lol

Am off to work soon. Have a good day everyone.

Morning Everyone!
Can I join the BP club too? my doc has put me on tablets too, I've never had high bp before, apart from at the end of the pregnancy with O - but its been really high recently, so am now on tablets - since last week - lisinopril too! snap!

We harvested our first two lots of spuds this week, we planted 6 different types! and H is coming home from school everyday and going out to pick strawberries! she thinks its fab! nothing like REAL new spuds....my mouth is watering at the though! lol!

Taff am blaming you for yesterdays weather then....it was sports day!!!! luckily most of the little ones (so my H's ) was finished before the rain came down properly, She came first in the "tato and spoon" and didn't drop it once! I was a very proud mami!

oh well, better go tidy up! xxxxxxxxxxxx

Well.... clinic is over, and my little bone marrow has been so busy the last couple of weeks!!

My haemglobin is 12.7...... disgustingly, rudely healthy and normal..... hb is usually the last to pick up, trust mine to be a bit different!!

Neutrophils (bug busters, main bit of immune system) have leapt from 1.06 to 1.47.... still needs to get to 2.00 to be low end of good, but for me, it is excellent.

Platelets..... the blood clotters... well they have gone down from 66 to 55, but he isn't worried about that... just gives me an excuse to avoid the vegetable knife, lololol.

We stopped off for a meal on the way back home, to celebrate.

I am so exhausted, that I shall make a couple of phone calls and then back to bed for a couple of hours!

Loads of love

Hello Daff,
Wonderful news! I'm so pleased and happy for you, hubby and family.

Still read your thread every day, to see how you are getting on.

Hope you have a nice weekend - I know it will be quieter than last weekend, when you had all your family and friends there with you.

My best wishes to you and your family.

Sallie.

Greeat news Daff! it surely was the red stuff wott did it! I swear by it!

Took friend to Asda today - we were there 5 hours - yes, 5 hours!!!!!

I swear there was nothing she didnt touch, turn over, examine, put down, pick up, move about......................gawd the woman tired me out (and she's the one with one lung, one breast, no bowel - so I guess she's just so much lighter than me that she doesnt tire so easily!) lol lol

I am really pleased that you are doing so well, and I am sure Mr Daff and all the family are delighted. Onwards and upwards - yet again.

Have a lovely weekend everyone - dont do anything I wouldnt do (well, the only thing I wont do is eat Broad Beans, so you have carte blanche!)

Take care - bi for now

Evening all... didn't get to bed this afternoon..... phonecalls by the dozen, all from my family, lol....

R has been playing at being an IT specialist Repair Person and guess what... I am now back on my pc!!! I was ready to fling my laptop through the window, it was sooooooo slow!

Jac and Ann...... I so did not have lots of wine... two glasses... I lost the first one, and it would seem my dad drank it...... the second I also lost, but my sister threw it away cos there were a couple of flies taking swimming/drowning lessons in it!!

However....... I made up for it the next evening.... Hic!!

Ann, I have just taken seeds... well, earlier today... from the aquilegia.... and some from yours, as well. So watch this space.

~~~~~~~~BC, did your tattoo hurt a lot *winces at the thought*
~~~~~~~waves to Jean and Maz..... It will take me a couple of weeks to recover from last weekend, lol!! My mother has already decided we'll have another.... she's talking about August!! Mind you, she hasn't mentioned it to me yet, just to one of my sisters........ watch this space. ;¬))

Hiya Sallie, lovely to see you again........ I am being boringly straightforward at the moment...... the next 7 months will be fairly crucial... the longer I go without a relapse, the better....... and relapse is most common in the first 12 months after chemo....... so everything is crossed. I am feeling really well, though, and that is a good sign.

Well... off to have a wander around the boards......

Love
