Mummo, I don't know what to advise you, except maybe be as natural as possible when Mum is awake, talk naturally and go with her when she drifts off the subject, it may be the painkillers she is taking. But she knows you are there and just to be there is probably all you can do. I suspect it is harder on you than on her from that point of view, if her memory is hazy and the pain is under control she will be comfortable. sorry can't be more help but I am thinking of your Mum, and of you too, stay strong.

morning all Mascot lol the neighbourhood knows him too ,
he was funny yesterday he does not like the rain although he likes bath water so i went to towell him dry but he scarpered ,He was out in the storm yesterday so i had to lock him out of bedrooms etc until he dried .
My other cat is nothing like this one lol
I am hoping it dries up today it has been very wet overnight ,Glad the show was good Daff

Very heavy showers here today but we have so far managed to avoid them and have done the T**** shop. Our weekend to M Keynes looks to be off as there is a flu bug going around, half the family have got over it, one now has it and one to go. Maybe next weekend if it is OK with them. So i have had to post littlie's card which was a large decoupage one and the second class post (there was a small pair of cut off leggings in there too) was £1.51!!!

Anyway hopefully we'll see them next weekend, if not it will be August in Hampshire where hopefully they will join us for our G wedding family barbecue.

Afternoon all.... sorry I am late.... I have been busy in between dozing. Son has now gone to collect Littlie, I think she will be staying 2 weeks this time, not the one

I had to take more big guns in the night.... and now I feel all hung over.... but the aches have eased, so that is good... it was only because of having to sit still in uncomfortable chairs, and then not having my own mattress that night, which would have eased it... but it is so much better this morning.

I am back off for a doze, now... I have just changed my bedding, B helped me with the re-making before he left... so I am off to slip into nice fresh clean sheets... I'll have to imagine the smell, lol but they feel good too, don't they?

Good afternoon all, mum wasn't to good this morning, wouldn't eat anything and would not wake up, so we decided to let her sleep which must have been right as she woke up a few minutes ago and told me no one was feeding her and she was hungry so she has now had something to eat and a few sips of coffee.
I offered to go and do the shopping this morning...........not a good idea, went to Asda's at Cribs Causeway, it was far to big l couldn't find anything, lol.
I'm cooking a family roast this evening so 9 of us for dinner.
Hope everyone is keeping dry and warm, x

Anyone remember its original name, back in the 70s we used to go there, it was a French firm and had a super restaurant where we used to stop on the way to Cornwall.

Morning , Ed and l are going home for the weekend as my sister in law is off for the weekend and she is a qualified carer of the elderly and has been great with mum. Hopefully if everything goes ok will will come back next week to help out and to be with mum again.

Little one arrived just after midnight.... went straight to sleep after a quick cuddle, and has been up since 7:30, but no trouble. She has just been painting with daddy... and had soup and rolls for lunch, home made soup... we are waiting for the rain to ease so she can go and pick the single ripe raspberry, lol She wants to make pizza for tea, so son is getting all that ready now....

Right..... am being shouted to go out to play in the garden, lol.... must go!

Been to Cheltenham today and managed to spend more than I intended (what is new?) Also managed toa void the heavy showers.

Got a nive top in House of frazer (reduced) and trousers and a quilted type light jacket in M&S. Had lunch in Wetherspoons, nice day out really. Hoping to go to Hidcot tomorrow if the weather is as good as it says it will be.

A lady has just come along to me carrying Gizmo did i know who he Belonged to lol He has been getting in with her puppies and playing so I asked if she used table tennis balls for them ? no but he does like dog food lol

I am trying to find a way of disguising a thread, lol... BC did suggest that I use a ginger moustache, but that won't work cos my steadfast and sturdy black one would get all bristly and defensive..... and you know how tough that is, not even the chemo could wipe most of it out, lol

Any suggestions welcome. Lol

Hopefully, the weather will be good here... there is lots going on in the local area for Littlie... a pub a couple of miles away has clowns, face paints and bouncy castle, and Tredegar House, which is nearby, has a fun day for youngsters, with crafts, games, storytelling sessions etc, so she will love it. And it is walkable, so perfect if the rain stays away.

Well... lets go and chuck her in the shower.... and then get everyone else up as well.
