I have to say, she made a lovely Christmas card for Mummy. She remembered everything I said and even matted the picture to put on it and lined it all up, cut out a Merry Christmas., it is very sweet. Then all on her own she took one of the old photos I brought for her and double matted it it, purple on red and, using double sided tape, she made a scrap book page (A4) and turned it round and matter of factly said ' I can put the title down this side.' Bless!!

Hello Daff and everyone,I'm so pleased to be here onboard again! ..I've been lying on my side in agony for the past week.
Frozen shoulder got much worse.pain into my arm, and my back went into severe spasms and had to have a visit from the doc. Just started sitting upright without pain from shoulder blade.I had lost soo much sleep that when tablets finally kicked in I slept Thursday night for twelve hours! Just a dull ache now but bearable thank goodness.

Think I must have missed lots of news? just read about you all having littlies staying ahh happy days,I miss my Grandchildren now they've grown... into men lol ...but glad to say we had them stay often and have great memories with them.

Hope you're still feeling in th pink Daff,have you had any good news re. planning dept?

Hope Mamiddau is enjoying the new job.

Maz your kitty sounds lovely and can picture her chasing those bubbles. I'm afraid I'm not a cat lover,but have to say I love kittens :O)

BC what a pity your lunch was spoilt...what did the Dragon have for hers? did someone spill salt on it?..........should have beeen sugar to sweeten her ;O)
Glad you've booked your ticket for C...hristmas...there I've said it!!

It's a beautiful sunny day here,sky is a deep blue,but still a bit chilly.

Hope everybody has a good weekend

Evening all.... well, what a day.... I am knackered... littlie and I hit the shops... she needed new clothes.... so she is now kitted right out.... I am sure that her choices will look fantastic together.... but she went for what she liked, not for what actually goes together, lol..... still, she was quite emphatic, and I couldn't resist that smile and those baby blue eyes, lol

Back to a cooked brunch...... grampy did that, and daddy had mowed the lawns (you know, the ones he was supposed to have done last week, lol) so we spent time in the play tents and tunnels.... we learnt to scoot, and rode her bike around the block... watered the garden the long way... ie, filling her cute little watering can and going around drop by drop!! With her mac, welly boots and umbrella all put to good use!

Mau, that is so painful... I had cortisone injections last year because of frozen shoulder... ouch, I really feel for you, but so pleased it is getting better.

Ann, bless her.... she sounds an absolute poppet.... do you reckon she'll be able to keep it til Christmas, or will mummy be presented with it the moment she arrives home? Oh.... and was T frozen solid at the football?

madam has learnt how to print.... mummy said today that she learns something new every time she comes here, lol..... I have to get some more printer paper, lol.... we have had all of the CBeebies characters printed off, and coloured in...... most while my back was turned...

Don't know who is enjoying themselves more, to be honest.... Littlie or me!

~~~~ to Maz.
Back again.... what a minx, lolol.... she is all sweetness and light again, and granny has her puter back for 5 minutes!! It is the peeking at you through her fingers that really makes me laugh.... she wants to see if she is having the desired effect..... sitting quietly drawing now, so all is well.
Mamiddau... yes, hubby has served under, and reported to, the big wig guy... there was a road (military estate) briefly named after him... it was going to be changed, not sure if it was or not.
Jean..... she'll take over, mind!! How come one little scrap of nothing makes such an impact, lol.... she has now decided that sockafella mummy and sockafella baby cannot be worn... they are real. I think we shall be pinching a pair of grampa's old socks later..... do you think she is too young to learn how to sew? lol
Maz.... you sound as if you are doing fine, hopefully it will all be done and dusted soon..... good luck
Well.... we are off for a shower and a hairwash now...... then will get mucky again,, we are both very good at that, lol!! When Mr Tumble has finished, lol
Hi Daff, no she isnt to young to learn how to sew, I used to teach little ones how to sew, also had one young one who really took to machine sewing, but I would only let her sew by hand until she gets used to sharp needles and scissors...she seems a very clever little girl..so I wont be surprised at how well she will do....My grandson used to do all manner of things with me when he was young, its a love ly time together and we sometime remember what we made, one in particular was a space craft made out of a huge box empty toilet rolls, lids, covered the whole thing in tinfoil looked amazing.....lol....let me know how she gets on will you....
Hi all, home again, miss little one (well big one too) but soooo peaceful and tidy (and that is saying something!!! Very cold and wintry here, cold sun as well, if you know what I mean.
Daff, she is winding you up!!!! How old is she?: Is she old enough to understand that Granny (are you Granny or Nana?) has to have five minutes to do her 'work' or she will be too tired to play with S? They are cute though and it is easy to let them rule you rather than tother way round. Be careful you don't overdo things and wear yourself out, you wont enjoy her then. (I remember saying this last time Lol!!!! Don't listen do you? How long is she staying?
AnninGlos
AnninGlos Report 19 Oct 2009 13:31
Forgot, they didn't seem too cold when they got in and MK Dons won so that is a plus.
I think she will keep the card as she made a picture to give to her Mum when she came home.
Took them to the Harvester yesterday and they were so well behaved and polite. and little one ate a huge child's portion of fish chips and peas that would have been enough for me. Followed by a large ice cream shared with her brother. She was missing in the afternoon so (like you do) I went upstairs to check she was not up to mischief and she was tidying her bedroom (parents not being the tidiest people it is now the tidiest room in the house!!!) and making more cards all on her own.
Afternoon Daff and all and welcome back Ann. We really are a besotted bunch of grandmas, nannies or grannies, aren't we!! Ihave only just done the last of the tidying up and am not sure I like it...tsk tsk...
Cool day here, rather dull as well, have been to work and also had ultrasound on my feet for some bizarre reason! Hope your Oh's are ok now, Ann.
*whispers to Mamiddau...yes I am sooo missing those boys in The Wire but have found a great French series called Spiral on BBC4......
Off shopping now, be good everyone.
evening everyone!
Daff, sounds like littlie is having a ball! I got H a sewing kit, pieces of craft foam (or something) with punched holes, and a "needle" which had alittle ball at the end. the sewing thread was a cord. She made a picture frame a purse, and something else whch i cannot remember....cost 99p in the range! this was over a year ago, but I know they still have them in ours. was a good way for H to learn to hold the needle etc. We love Mr Tumble is this house! the kids have a couple of dvd's....
BC - am counting down till NCIS Los Angeles starts on Wednesday....and am loving FlashForward!!!
Mwah to all,
*sings* (specially for Daff) Goodbye, Goodbye its time to go, Goodbye, Goodbye, I hope you had good fun....I say Goodbye....Am happy that you came.....
Mamiddau, at least that is better than teletubbies. Although my favourite used to be Bellamory, she has grown out of those more or less now and progressed to cartoons and Disney!
