Morning Maz... yes, but do you know, I have slept better and more deeply since it started, lol.... it looks like it has given me a whole new focus, exhausting, but none-the-less beneficial... I have had quite a bit of trouble sleeping... no problems dropping off, but awake a couple of hours later and up and down like a yo yo... but since this has started I have had no problems - slept right through again last night, didn't wake until 7.30, and woke ready to fly, lol I had a load of washing in the washer, R's lunch sorted, last night's load hung up or out on the line, dishwasher emptied and the downstairs loo cleaned by 8.30!

I am going to take a little break from it today... I need to go and get bread and milk, and visit my parents, but will get back to it tomorrow.

The weather is beautiful here... I think it might stay that way, as Pol is quite frisky, and has been playing *chase* with Jethro... he is very gentle with her, bless him!! So her hurty bits are quite good today.... as are mine!

I bought a memory foam pillow last week...... and I haven't woken with neck ache since, although I did have a couple of restless nights at first.

Right, have a wonderful day, everyone.... I know BC is having a ball, cos she has her family with her ~~~~~~~~ and Ann and I are preparing to spend time with ours, lol.... lovely!

Good morning, opposite to you Daff, feel like a zombie this morning (hope that is not non pc and there are no zombies on the boards). I hardly slept last night, everything that could hurt did, but not until I just dropped off so then I woke up, and I had a dull ache in my stomach - don't know what that was, get it sometimes so I am shattered this morning, good job we have nothing planned (except dentist at 1.50.

Had another thought Daff, would CAB be any help with advice?

Do you think the open plan thingy went through when the council adopted the roads after the builder finished.

I was also trying to visualise who was to 'enjoy the view', you don't have a house looking straight across at it do you, isn't there a road leading out there? Have you seen anyone (except Mr Nasty) standing and looking at the view? Still it only needs one I suppose.

MrDaff Report 13 Oct 2009 10:51

Oh dear Ann..... hope you feel better as the day wears on.... have you seen the gp about your tummy? I get something similar sounding sometimes... used to much more when I was younger, but I got that problem sorted by stopping all bran and wholemeal everything, lol.... my tummy objected to it. I have to be careful with white bread too.... I find the seeded batch the best, and my tummy is nowhere near as bad these days. Oh, and just as a point of interest.... whichever way my tummy plays up, my back is always worse.... I think we must hold ourselves awkwardly and this does a dodgy back no favours at all. Try sleeping on your side, with the sorest bit above, rather than next to the mattress. Or is that teaching grandma, lolol

I was wondering about CAB, as well.... think I might give them a ring later.

I have just had a lovely surprise... just on my way up for a shower, and the doorbell rang... there I am, in my jimjams, hair sticking in 45 different directions.... and Hunky Landscaper is stood there, lol... he has come to measure up... anyway, I have brought him up to speed, and he is designing for aesthetic value from the road, lol.... he will keep everything in keeping with what other properties have put up... including my lovely neighbours on the other side... they have a small fence I rather like, and HL reckons that it will be fairly straight forward to build that for me!!

And it is very open... as he said, once it has changed to residential curtilige, I can then plant exactly what I want there, lol To close it up, so to speak. He has gone away muttering *blackthorn, Pyrocanthus, Mahonia, while on R's list of *things to do* is *plant anti-personnel mines along boundary* lolol

I think the important thing is to make sure the plans will be acceptable.... once they are accepted, normal law for domestic properties will apply, hopefully.

I am quite calm and energised at the moment.... but please all stand by for those days when I am discouraged and off the wall, lolol. ;¬))

Right.... must get on, things to do and people to visit!! And B is legal in my car today, so he will want to have a little play around in it, later, get familiar with it before he drives up to bring littlie home at the weekend. I am all excited, already, lolol!

That is probably the cause Daff, I do steer clear of too much wholemeal bread as I am aware that it doesn't agree with me, can occasionally eat the lighter wholemeal. However last night we had pitta bread as we'd had pasties for lunch and for a change I got wholemeal. I only had one but it was a bit heavy so maybe that is it. It is not an uncommon occurrence for me, I have , since my thirties, had a dodgy stomach, never had it diagnosed but do wonder if I have a mild IBS. I worry a bit as my Mum had a colostomy when she was 80, we were never told why, she didn't want to talk about it but I assume it was a pre cancer op, she had some form of blockage and went in as an emergency to Haslar. She had regular checks that were fine and her death cert stated "no cancer present". I did the bowel cancer test last year and was clear. I just watch what I eat, not too much 'roughage', (I actually can't eat too much seeded bread), no oranges, no fresh oears, that is the fruit I can't eat. It will go, no need for doc at the moment.

Not my day!! When I arrived at the dentist, after waiting 15 minutes until after my appointment time!! All of a sudden there is much hustle and bustle and worried looks and whispering. Dentist is now downstairs running around, we quickly caught on. The lab had not delivered my plate for measuring!!! luckily it is only a ten minute walk but one we didn't need. Now have to wait until she phones, bearing in mind we go away on Thursday. T thought he heard a conversation with the lab when they said they hadn't done them, not just that they had not delivered them!!!!

Oh BBBBBBB, how miserable is that!!

Well.... it's catching... I have been trying to attach some photos for the solicitor.... and they just will not attach... is it just me, or is Yahoo e-mail playing up??? I have tried going into them all.... can't find the Sky ones, so that I can play with those.... can't remember my details, lolo... off to have another rummage around.... it is written down.......... somewhere, lol!

Morning Daff and all and hope Ann is feeling better and Daffy gets the better of any begrudgers who happen to pass her way...lol...it's been raining all night after two glorious, sunny days. Having a wonderful time with the little ones, Science Museum (they have a special room for toddlers) and the Underground and shopping yesterday...all exciting stuff but best part of all is when they fall into bed. The parents toddle off each day to visit art galleries, camping shops, browse book shops and are like a couple of kids themselves...they are off tomorrow.

Hope the day goes well for you all....was that Jude I saw dashing by on her way to or from somewhere?? and brave Maz for even entering son's bedroom! lol

MrDaff Report 14 Oct 2009 09:49

~~~~~~~~~ to BC..... didn't expect to see you until they had all gone home.... it is lovely when they are here, isn't it? But oh dear.... bliss when they are in bed, lol
Little has such a small garden at home...... ours is like a park in comparison..... and we have such a large family.... that she has loads of entertainment here.... when you add the ducks and geese and swans at Roath Park.... the beach at Barry Island.... there is a *coalmine* near here, but she is a bit small for that.... next year we shall take her to ST Fagans.... there is plenty of space for her to run around, and all those lovely houses.... she just loves to run... but I wasn't up to it last time she came.
She loves to paint, draw, and cut out.... she is just mastering scissors....... and she has a *thing* about gardening... we are going to plant some potatoes in a pot in the conservatory.... she can dig them up next time she comes, and help me cook them... we'll do some carrots as well.... any other veg that anyone can think of that we can grow indoors and might just be ready for Christmas? lol
This legal thing is going to take some time to unravel, I think...... but hopefully we shall sort it out eventually.
Jude, that isn't even enough time to get yer knicks washed and dried, lolol ;¬)) You going grandchild-sitting? Have fun!
Yes, I agree with BC, Maz.... I don't go anywhere near son's room.... and he is 36, lolol
Good luck at the dentist today, Ann xxxxxx
Well... lets go and wander around the boards, and then write my game plan for the day, lol
Love to all..... and have a wonderful day, however you plan to spend it.
Just a quick visit, dentist at 10.50 then on the bus into town, walk to the docks (10 minutes and meet my friend for coffee....phew I will need it. Be back this afternoon but then have to pack for the weekend. I so wish my lovely family felt the cold like we do, they always have a cold (to us) house so have to pack lots of warm clothes even at this time of year.
Afternoon each and all!
Lovely day again - so nice that I washed my car - this is only the 3rd time I have washed it since it was new (2002) but it's a very forgiving silver colour (or so I have just found out! - I thought it was dark grey - lol)
I've been powerflushed - quite painless but lengthy, yesterday and today the Gas Board have been back yet again to sort the drip in the boiler cupboard. I dont know how he got there!!
Love to all and dont get doing too much, cos it's moderation in all things when you hit a certain age!
Bi for now
Dentist 10.50 predictably became dentist at 11.15, just about got to the docks to meet my friend in time. Nice to see her, have a chat and give her her birthday present. Had a mouch around and bought a sweater (£8) in M&S outlet and a pair of slippers as my other pair wore a huge hole in the bottom!! Got home nearly 3pm!! Now got to pack.
Jac, what you doing with a drip in your cupboard, tell him he can't live there!!! Glad you have been successfully power flushed.
