Afternoon Daff and all:-) Beautiful day here after all the rain yesterday, am off to collect that honeysuckle which has finally arrived at the garden centre. Imagine running out of honeysuckle!! I was having a smile at Gizmo's antics, as the cocker spaniel (only 6 months old) in Ireland is as mad as a hatter and so mischievous...my own dog is so sedate in comparison...lol...

Ann I am having huge prolems with my feet (the left has plantar wotsit and the right has a toe stress fracture!). Have reduced my morning walk a bit but otherwise am hobbling along nicely. am doing some of Daff's exercises...when I think of it. Hope your OH recovers soon...it is such a nuisance!

Hope you are all having a good day:-) BC XXX.

BC, it does seem a bit better today, he has just been pottering in the garden but is not playing golf tomorrow. I hope yours gets better soon, you have a double whammy though which must be a real problem I trust you have abandoned the 7 inch heels for now????

*tuts* at BC..... you been dancing with that Flaherty fella again, haven't you?

It is soooo painful... that is what I was hobbling around with at the Peterborough meet last year.... and it was getting better by then, lol!! I remember wearing a coat that cost a small fortune.... even though it was half price in the sale..... and a pair of Reebock trainers, lololol!! They sooooo did not look good together! I did try the boots...... they nearly killed me to wear them!

Lol at Gizmo....... my two are bringing in leaves from outside at the moment.... then spreading them around the house.... and I found my old girl curled up fast asleep in my glue and sticky stuff shoe box... she had knocked the lid off somehow.... where would we be without them?

Poor T, Ann.... is he not playing cos of his foot, or not playing cos you are off to look after the grandchildren?

Not playing because he is resting his foot Daff, Grandchildren next week, sorry you asked that earlier and I forgot to say. Next Thursday. He says it definitely feels better but doesn't want to push his luck. Had to chuckle, Next door neighbour was telling him she had it last year (on the web site it said it affected more women than men), and when he asked her what the doctor advised, she said not to wear high heels. Hmmm!!

Wmsl..... that was my podiatrist and Mr Manipulator's response, too.... my gp's was to lose weight and send me to the dietician....again. I went privately for the podiatrist..... well, and my Manipulator, too, lol

I am sorry, I am still giggling at the image of T tottering precariously on one stilletoe'd foot, whilst the other one rolls around in the fridge looking for a bottle of water, lololol

~~~~~~~ to Maz, I don't mind the spiders, Maz... the mozzies here are the size of crows, lol.... the spiders keep them at bay!
Hope everyone has a lovely day
No, we were very good, didn't have breakfast just coffee. Tell me how with only 2 of us did the bill come to £105?? (well i did have two sweaters - 2 for £10 and a reduced tiny T shirt, then there were the six bottles - well you get discount for 6, and enough reduced meat and salmon for two weeks meals so it was not too bad!) Took ages to unpack though.
WMSL Ann..... My cat food costs more than that for the month... mind you, I get mum's as well, Miss Rosa has gotten very fussy of late, lolol
B is eating us out of house and home.... I am getting through a loaf a day.... and he has bowls and bowls of soup.... I don't mind in the slightest, but not much is getting into the freezer, lol He also drinks at least a litre of milk a day. But it is good to see him filling out a bit... he was looking quite gaunt... he is 6ft 2ins, and weighed just over 10 stone when he came home three weeks ago.
I have to say that when we lost poor Holly we did notice a difference in the weekly bills what with her food and litter. However I wouldn't let that put me off owning a cat (or vice versa), if we stopped jetting around.
Morning all..... I was up early this morning.... slept like a log in spite of the upsets yesterday....... it seems I have to get planning permission to put flowers in my front garden!! lol.... oh, and if I fence it off, any gate has to be 5.5 metres from the road.... we think that there is a mix-up, and that the area has been wrongly assigned to part of the local authority land.... including fields and a wood... as in the letter it declares that patch as *open land*. I assumed it meant *open plan*, which it is, but there is nothing in any of the deeds to say we cannot put plants, shrubs or fencing... we were only informing the planning department out of courtesy, as I was advised (by them) to do!! So we had a huge shock when the letter came yesterday saying we have to apply for planning permission, at great cost to us.
However, we did a quick search quite late last night.... and *open land* infers something very different... well, we think it does. We are doing a more in-depth search today. Because, as I said, there is nothing anywhere to suggest that the public have a right of way through the front garden... the person I spoke to actually thought that our driveway was a communal one!!
Our solicitor already has copies of the planning permissions the builders had to get, and all the provisos.... and there are areas designated on the plans, which are also supposed to be maintained by the local authority.... but ours is just not one of them!! The areas are clearly marked, and beautifully maintained, too. We don't even have a flaming pavement!
Oh well..... slowly slowly.... we'll get it sorted.... R was in fighting mood last night, so thank goodness it is the weekend, lol... time to calm down before we start writing letters and filling in forms, lol
Hope your day is wonderful.... the sun is shining beautifully here.
Love
Daff xxxx
Jac Report 10 Oct 2009 09:13
Good morning Daff and everyone!
Sorry to hear you unfortunately encountered the "duffer" at the Planning Dept. Daff! obviously they havent bothered to look properly at the plans etc.and once you've "pointed them in the right direction" all will be sorted, I'm sure! Why aint anything simple in this life?
We are still missing Jackson like fury - every time I look around there is a cat about - but not mine! He's left a ruddy great hole in our life I can tell you - even though he's now safely sitting in his little wooden casket on top of Toby-dog!
Bit misty here today, after last night's rain but not too cold fortunately as our heating went down last weekend and we are awaiting the Gas Board on Tuesday cos I'm being powerflushed! We have little fan heaters all over the place and I shall have to ask the Bank for a loan to pay the lekky bill!
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Bi for now
Morning dear Daff and all:-) Well what a palaver you are having to contend with Daff when all you want to do is plant in your own bit of paradise! Bureaucrats!!...*spits....I am sure it will all fall into place and I can just see those, perfectly worded but firm, letters flying out of your home! Go girl!!
Have just woken up from a lovely sleep, I was climbing over rocks and waves and holding a long black cloak up, to get to a loo which when I got there, was a totally elegant hotel with gold all round. So elegant I couldnt find the loo. So I came down the rocks again...to be greeted by my two grandchildren...who had grown up! In reality they will be here on Monday so am getting their room ready:-))
Am off to the park and also *fretting about Mammidau...do you think she is so exhausted when she gets home, she just jumps into bed? Taff, if you are looking in, let us know how she got on and bug hug for you:-))
Have a good Saturday. Imagine, they don't televise the English Match!!! Well tutty tut and another tut...will have to be crystal radio I suppose...
