Hi Daff, No, no suggestions as to any treatment for wobbly teeth except advice on which plate to get when they eventually come out. You have to bear in mind that she is a locum and only with us until the end of October when her own practice will be ready to take over. I actually think one tooth is a lot more wobbly than the other two, and has been for a while. if that comes out I will not get a plate. I will only think about that when all three give up. I do try not to bite on that tooth.

I am sue it is going to be a worrying time when your nephew has to have his op, Harefield is an excellent hospital and I am sure will look after him well. Yes, a long way from swansea for his family, maybe he wont be in there for too long and hopefully the op will give him back a good quality of life.

Just been into town today, T not walking so well today so we have bought some special inserts for his shoes to see if they help. I hope they do, they are not cheap.. couldn't do all I wanted because he was obviously suffering, so we went to Weatherspoons and had steak and kidney pudding and chips (very slimming) and a bottle of red. Bought some soft herring roes to have on toast tonight in the indoor market, and a blue polo shirt (Maine) in Debs sale. Oh yes and a set of sheets in debs sale, same as we have already which we bought in their last sale!!
Weather not too bad here, sun shining at the moment but it is very windy, albeit a warm wind, garden will need a good tidy up after this.

Hi Jean, read the account of your holiday on the other thread and pleased you seem to have enjoyed it, sounds a very relaxing place, but what a nuisance to leave the bag behind, hope you get it back. Can they put it on a train for you or something? Is there anyone on GR who lives near Ludlow who can retrieve it for you?

Remind me next week and I will take a photo of a few, can't fit all 40 done so far onto a photo. Lucky you getting a tote at a bargain price.

Daff is R having his birthday meal tonight? or are you having a family celebration for him?

That Daff has gone AWOL today, bet she is joining R in a glass or two (or three) to celebrate his birthday!!

MrDaff Report 3 Oct 2009 22:05

Evening all... well.... what a to-do, lol.. B cooked R's dinner for us... he makes more mess in the kitchen than I do, . and that is saying something, lolol... R's special birthday dinner was.... egg, bacon, hash browns, sausage, beans, black pudding and toast... very slimming!! lolol

We are off to bed soon... me cos it's my normal time... R cos he has had a busy week, and I kept him awake with my snoring (as if... they dddd so exaggerate, don't they?) last night.... as I pointed out, I only snore when in a light sleep.. if I am out for the count, not a snore nor a snuffle to be heard. So his restlessness must have kept me half awake, don't you agree? lol... poor man, he'll never win!!

Right.... off to bo bo's.

Night night...... hope T's foot feels better soon.

Good morning, everyone, thinking of you all in various ways.

My favourite meal in Galway recently was boiled bacon and cabbage.

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 4 Oct 2009 11:34

Morning Joy, Morning Maz...... ~~~~~~~~ to everyone.... the weather here looks promising... it rained yesterday evening and through the nigh, not heavy but enough to moisten the soil and make it easier to grab those weeds... that is what is on my list today.

I am hoping R and B will *hoover* up those leaves....... I do so get tired of nagging...... but needs must... I still can't do them, as they are mainly the diseased horse chestnut, and I don't want to risk it....... also, I think my snuffles are an allergy of some sort... they haven't developed into anything dramatic, but are still there.... hayfever-ish. They eased after taking anti histamine, so I did a Sherlock Holmes thingy and deduced it.!!

Yesterday, I spent 4 hours finding my way around Ancestry.... it was very slow... but my uncle, whose date and year of birth I know... nowhere could I find his birth, initially... then I realised that as he was born quite late in a quarter (mid march) he may have been registered the quarter after.... doh!! There he was... but he still hadn't turned up in a search, which he should have done.

Now I just need to work out which of two marriages were his parents... he died a few years ago, and was an *in-law* so no-one left to ask, now *sigh*

I must concentrate on the garden today, though.

See you all later.

Morning all... grizzly here, too...... never mind, we had a beautiful September, so mustn't complain.

Jean, I shall send some photos of the garden.... give me about half an hour, lol... and of the finished page... didn't like the second, so am going to tweak it a bit.

Glad you had a lovely time... beautiful in that area, isn't it?

Maz, are you handing your file in today? Good luck, if you are.

Not sure what to do with myself today... had a very long phonecall from brother (the one who had the stem cell transplant two years ago) and that has exhausted me.... he is very worried, but is also aware that he is certainly not *ill* in the same way as he was last time he relapsed. But you can't help worrying. The bane and the beauty of coming from a large family, lol!!

R & B (they sound like a rock band, don't they?) cleared the leaves, yesterday, bless them... it looked lovely for a couple of hours... then we had some windy weather and hey presto!! Back to how it was with new leaves falling, lolol

I might pop down to Homebase.... this time last year we were putting Kitchen cupboards up, lol... the kitchen hasn't been finished, so R was talking about getting it sorted this year, in time for Christmas. See them pigs flying past the window? lolol

Right... must go and sort something out for dinner tonight..... and put a load of washing in the dryer.

Take care, and have a lovely day, everyone.

Jean I have sent some more... I was told to reduce the number of photos... so have just sent the first four in that group.... I still haven't found the ones I took recently, all in bloom... they seem to have gone through ok!

My Mailer wotsit said that either your mailbox was full... or I was sending too many in one go.

That is what I am looking for, now... the photos I have taken since I started the planting... it really is beginning to take shape, now, and in a year or two will look fabulous, I hope... it is hard work at the moment, but not as hard as it was before the landscaping. He has done well, hasn't he? I am very pleased with it.

I have some photos of the landscaping completed just before I was diagnosed last year.... some of them are on my Facebook... there is a way og (edit: of, even, lol)giving you the link so you can see them... not sure how, though... I'll play with it, lol!!

Aw bless him, Maz.... that'll be brilliant for him.... and for you too, as you'll be able to stop worrying about him over-doing things.... good luck with your file... I know how much hard work goes into them, and you've had to do it twice, through no fault of your own.
