Well.... it's your own fault you're talking to yourself, lol... you did give me the link... and there were other links inside that as well.... which should keep me going tomorrow.

I have had some very interesting reading.... but it still doesn't explain how my front lawn is now Open Space... not open plan, which is different!

Some of the links might... but I am too tired now.

Pleased you managed to meet your friend, Ann.... oh, and that you slept well.... your tummy ok today?

Jac..... well, he shouldn't be drippy now, if you've been powerflushed, lolol..... Would you like to pop down and wash my car, as well, please Jac? Then you'd really be flushed with success. Shall I fetch my coat? lolol

Maz, I have just bunged up my tumble dryer cos he left a tissue in his pocket.... grrrrrr!

Jac Report 15 Oct 2009 09:20

Morning all - dismal is the only word to describe the weather here today - the first rain we've had in ages, and all over my pristine car!!!

It usually rains when I was the bath mats, but I swear I havent washed them, so washing the car must have the same effect!

The drip is STILL in the boiler cupboard, despite being taped and compounded yesterday by the Gas Board - I'm rapidly losing the will to live, cos yesterday's guy said if the taping and compounding dont work, then we have to drain the system!!! errrr hello, didnt we drain the system when we were powerflushed???? bug*** bug*** bug***!!!

Having new d/glazed door and window in the garage this morning also, so builder here banging and crashing about.

I aint a happy bunny today!

Oh, excuse my manners - Morning all - hope your day will be 10,000% better than mine looks like being!

Bi for now

Lol Jac, hope your day gets better as it goes along.

Good morning all, just a rushed visit before hurtling off across the Cotswolds on our way to MK. damp and misty here this morning. Have a good day everyone, will check in just before we leave at about 10am.

MrDaff Report 15 Oct 2009 10:24

Morning all.... dismal here, as well today.... now B has learnt some very valuable lessons from his dad...... B has been asked to mow the lawns today.... we have a petrol, and a hover.... but I bet you all the money in my bank account.... the comment will be *the grass is too wet* which means that my lawn will look as scraggy as anything, probably won't get a final haircut this year..... he was supposed to do it yesterday, but didn't get up until 3, then had a phonecall from his friend lasting almost 2 hours.... then had something to eat and a play in the car... then phoned littlie (don't mind the last bit) and then it was too dark. I want the magic circle sorted so that littlie can play on it next week...... littlies and grass just go together!

same thing last year with R, and then the excuse was too busy as visiting me in hospital) and I will end up throwing a wobbly over it when there have been excuses given for half a dozen other smallish jobs..... most I can do myself, but these days I can't do the initial *move* to get me going... ie I have a couple of lovely lounge wall units, shaker style, in the garage.... but the wood is very dark... so I want to paint them... but because I have the belongings of half my family... deceased and living... I can't get to them because they are right at the back.... I have been asking for them to be moved to the front so I can prepare them for weeks.....

Oh dear.... I think I might be in a bad mood today.....

My fridge is full of empty cartons and boxes.... oh ok then.... a milk carton, orange juice carton and an egg box.... but the principal is the same... and the sink is full of dishes...... the dish washer has been filled in all fairness, but not switched on!!

R left his manky towel in the bathroom.... and his manky clothes are in a neat pile on top of the dirty linen basket.... I'd prefer them on the floor, than there, that just gets my goat.

Hecky thump..... there is a year's full of moaning in this post..... mind you, if I have loads to do, I have to moan in order to get the adrenaline going to give me the oomph, lolol!

I'll come back later when I've had another cuppa... hopefully I shall be sweetness and light by then and not bah humbug, lol

Love

Morning Daffy

Oh dear...lots of moans there methinks.....not to worry......leave it all til he comes home...throw me a few names for the 1911 and we'll find a few rellies instead :-)))

I know what you mean about the wet grass bit though......didn't someone say that it was a load of rubbish...a myth put about by Ohs to get out of cutting it methinks.

MrDaff Report 15 Oct 2009 10:45

Morning Susan.... thank you.... haven't got to 1911, lol..... have been tidying up all the *livings* lolol..... and going through all the legal docs for my front garden.... and today I have so much to do cos I have neglected everything this week... my head is in a whirl... Littlie will be here on Saturday, and I have been using her room as a dumping ground, so need to sort it out... loads of stuff to go in the attic, which son (B) was going to put up there but still hasn't... I have been pussy footing around him a little bit, because of the split....

We have so much stuff lying around that is not safe for a three year old, so that needs sorting.... and as the kitchen is only half done, but legal fees are now swallowing up the fund to pay for it to be finished, it has to be stored in the garage I can't get into and not the cupboards in the kitchen...... I am right fed up... I'll be fine in an hour or so.... just felt the need for a grump session, lol!

I think I'll just go out.... B is using my car to go to collect littlie, so I need to do the shopping now... and of course, R was supposed to be off for a couple of weeks, but there was an emergency at work, so no time off.... and I am getting irritable cos there is so much to do that I can't manage on my own... Grrrr!!

How are you?

ButtercupFields Report 15 Oct 2009 16:02

Afternoon dear Daff...you sound in a tizz:-) lol I DO understand as I am surrounded by unbelieveable chaos! The family left this morning and, as usual, we all had the most wonderful time, F was returned to me by a security guard on TWO occasions he is like an eel and my hand hurt holding his ear so I just let him go...lol....Miss P was her usual angelic, unperturbed self and I bought her the most pinkest fluffiest of slipper boots which will be totally inappropriate for her. F got Spiderman ones! I slept for two solid hours after I waved them goodbye. Lovely to hear you will be having your Little stay with you soon, Daff and hope you are not doing too much but I suspect you are...tsk.....

The weather here has been wonderful, and this afternoon is sunny and
bright. Hope Ann is feeling better and Gizmo is behaving.

Evening everyone.... aw, poor Gizmo, lolol..... they are monkeys, aren't they? I had to throw a pack of butter away a couple of days ago... Jethro is the only cat who will leap onto the surfaces..... grr... but he is soooo cute.

Maz, you have the right to tell them that you are unable to comply.... THEY have messed up... they will need to give you more time... don't you dare rush it because of their incompetence!! That is just appalling... you have been treated very badly all around! Please let them know... how dare they encroach on your time, worrying and rushing you like that.... that has really annoyed me... want me to thump them for you? ;¬))

Susan... as you might be able to tell... I am not very patient today, lol.... and Grumpy? Well.... I am not often so, but when I am, I do tend to make uop for lost time, lol

BC... F looks an absolute delight.... they both do!! Surely he melted the security guard's heart? lololol I am going to need a 2 hour sleep before they get here, at this rate... but at least B has decided to drive up one day, come back the next... I was a little worried with him doing the whole journey in one go.... but I planted the seed, and it germinated into a full blown *his idea all along* lolol

*frets* I didn't wave bye bye to Ann!! xxxxx ~~~~~~~~~

Off to do something constructive... not sure what.... I have played with the photos today, instead of spreading the dust around. ;¬))

Take care

Hello Star..... well done you!! I am sure that you will wear them down.... keep plugging for it at your appraisals, lol!

Just the thought of three teenagers gives me a headache.... although having said that, do you fancy swapping your three teens for my one 36 year old????? I am sure your three will be easier, lol!

Ann nice to see you on line... enjoy your time with your youngsters too...cant remember if I told you we got the case back thanks to D.... she did a round trip of 100 miles when she was down there....bless.....

have a great weekend all....

MrDaff Report 16 Oct 2009 11:22

Morning Jean.... so pleased you got your case back... I did know... I think Ann did as well, cos we both made a quip about J being re-united with his undies, lol Glad everything went well at the clinic, too... I go next on the 6th Nov (I think) I am in a much better mood today.... and I am not so clumsy and awkward, plus my hands work better too.

That is typical, Star... I think you are supposed to have one every 12 weeks, aren't you? I was often behind with mine.... but only by a couple of weeks... I'd panic too much! Good luck, anyway... keep plugging at them.... and put your request, with valid reasons why you feel it would benefit them, in writing as well. They have to be able to show that there is a clear and available career path, with appropriate training, for you to take... not sure about the exact details, in a school, but look at your contract.... they have to have a valid reason for refusing any requests for training, too, and if you have put it in writing, they are supposed to respond, I think.

And one other thing.... your appraisal is about YOU, make sure you go in with a list of questions, requests for training, don't let your appraiser control it... you have control.... and a date to follow up on your next appraisal.... anything you bring up, has to be addressed in writing by your next one.... even if it is in the negative, and even if it is just recorded on your personnel file.

Right... that has done my school mar'm bit, lolol!! Good luck!

Morning Maz ~~~~~~

Ann, I have yet to meet a 13 year old Neanderthal (cos that is what they seem to turn into, lol) grunt angelically, lol... That is unconditional granny love, is that, lolol!!

Well...... can you hear that?????

No, me neither..... that is the sound of silence, is that!! B has gone... he has taken enough food to feed an army, plus some frozen soups and stews for his ex, while littlie is here (my idea, don't want to alienate, lol) as I know she loves them... used to take them up when they were together, as well.

I am going to be busy today.... but I shall go back to bed for an hour now.... I was up at the crack of dawn making sandwiches, filling flasks (soup, coffee, milk) and cool bags for both my fellas......

I am not sure what we are having tonight, R is getting it on the way home.... but we are going to have our favourite red wine, and celebrate.

52 weeks ago today, on Friday, 17th October 2008, I put a thread up entitled *No easy way to say this*

I had been given the statistics, and knew that my chances were not wonderful.... and here I am, 12 months down the line, and mostly feeling wonderful.

It has been a rollercoaster ride...... but I know it has helped me to take stock of what is important....

thank you everyone for being there for me when I so desperately needed you.... and for being there for my lovely hubby, as well.

Loads of love and (((((hugs)))))
