Vera, yes it is tiring for T being shunted from pillar to post and before he put the phone down he did mutter something that sounded like ‘they are playing their musical movement games again. Yes Annx I am sure he is not the only one being moved, it makes sense really as he was in a renal ward and was niot needing any particular treatment, I am presuming his suspected kidney problems didn’t require treatment as such. Much better for him to be in a more general rehabilitation ward. As long as his physio is continued. If he is ever going to recover he had to be able to build up his strength.
Vera excitement in your garden a cat and TWO robins. I bet that Helebores will be beautiful.

Good morning all. I was awake at 5am, had a wander around, got back in bed and didn't wake up until 9am. We have not heard anything from the hospital so we assume that he arrived in Cirencester OK. (I could write a book on this). Just a matter now of waiting, daughter has to pick her car up from a service but later, if we have not heard she may phone the ward herself.
Hope everyone had a good night. grey but dry so far here 0 degree out there. and a bit foggy. Can't see any frost though.

I'm wondering if anyone saw my 20.23 post from yesterday? I really am at a loss as regards FB since they changed it a few months ago and thinking of just packing in all social media.

Morning AnnG, Mel and all
It’s sunny here at the moment but very, very cold. I’m not sure if it's even reached 1 deg yet. That reminds me, I must go and defrost the bird bath.
I had a reasonable sleep last night so don’t feel too bad this morning. I’ve been fiddling about with odd jobs. I’ve got a little set of plastic drawers inside a wardrobe and I keep gloves and scarves in them. They were looking a bit dusty so I dismantled them, gave them a good clean and sorted them out. So there are now some scarves, a couple never used, to add to the pile for the charity shop.
I’ve also set up a Sainsbury delivery for next Saturday. I’ve got Tesco today and again in 2 weeks which has been fine but I’ve decided to go back to weekly deliveries if I can for a while, then I won’t have to go into the shops at all.
I really don’t peer out of my windows all the time, and I know I do go on about my neighbour but she constantly astounds me. I have just seen her ironing lady arrive, neighbour opens the door, they stand chatting not 2 ft apart, neither wearing a mask, and ironing lady then goes in. I keep wondering if I ought to say something to her.but I don’t want to spoil our previous neighbourly relationship. I am frightened for them as they are on the government “vulnerable” list and should be shielding. What would you do?
On a more cheerful note, both robins are back this morning and feeding together in the caged ground feeder, so they must be a pair. There are lots of blackbirds about and I’ve also seen several blue and great tits and one goldfinch. I am now going to put on some disposable gloves and go and unpack my plants which arrived yesterday. I don’t think I can leave plants in a box for a few days so I’ll just be extra careful.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

well mentioning it certainly woke you all up. I have not really done any though, Just a brief swish around part of the dining room by the kitchen door, no idea how crumbs get on the carpet there but they do. Also wiped a few doorknobs.
Vera if your neighbour is actually shielding I was surprised to read someone on our local site saying what they have to do when shielding. They must have no contact with anyone who is likely to be visiting local shops is one of the things.

Good morning to you all,
What a performance I had yesterday. We left here at 4.30 pm to go for my COVID injection whtich waste 4.50 pm. We hats go to a surgery at GRANGE PARK just behind the M1. It's a warren of street, roadabouts and factory entrances. When we finally got to the Drs Surgery, that took my name and DOB and put me in a queue, standing in the COLD. Twenty minutes later I moved inside, about 10 minutes and I was in front of a nurse.Again full name and DOB. Then she gave me the injection. I filled out behind others to a LARGE TENT where we had to sit for 15 minutes, to make sure we were ok to leave. It was A VERY DARK WALK BACK TO THE CAR. Then the performance of finding our way out. By this time it was 6.45. We got home and Ros put the S & K pie in and the veg on. We were able to eat around 7.45.
Simon rang to see how I got on, and Sally his wife and Para-Medic came on the phone and said. "DAD" you might have a sore arm later and won't have a very good nights sleep. (HOW TRUE THAT WAS) I was in bed by 10.00 pm as usual, by 11.30 I was still awake and got up. I made myself a HORLICKS and had some SHORTBREAD. Went back to bed around 2.00 am. Didn't really sleep for the rest of the night, but stayed in bed until 9.00 am.I can see me getting a nap during the afternoon.
Ros did her weekend shopping yesterday, so is at home with me today. I expect we will have a takeaway tonight.
Cold Foggy day here, so we won't be going out anywhere. I hope you are all well and staying away from and infections. STAY SAFE xxxxx

Afternoon All,
Thick fog and 1 degree when we went to the chemist. I had a bad night last night and was still awake at 3.00am. I did something I'd never done before.......gone to sleep with my glasses on! Who said 'poor old soul?' lol. :-D We had to ring and ring back again this morning before they had OH's meds in but he has them now. Good job as he is more deaf this morning. He has to go back to the docs next thursday so they can hopefully see his eardrum by then.
AnnG wash those nasty HW words out of your mouth!! lol You are putting me to shame as it has been on the back burner here while my knee has been recovering. I did clean the hob in the kitchen this morning though so that's a start.
Island I hate the new FB and much prefer the old version. I used to get my FB page come up straightaway on the old version, but I have to do a search for it now. :-S I keep finding things I can't do so easily. Goodness knows why they had to change it.
After your experience yesterday Frank, I will take one of our lightweight garden chairs with me to sit on when I go for my jab. It's that or get a shooting stick to perch on. The cold won't bother me unless it's below freezing. At least you are done now.
Lunch is ready....BBL

So you are all sorted now Frank. Have you got to have another in three weeks time?
Island there's not many on here that use FB I for one don't and I don't think Frank does either. Annx is the best one to talk to about it but I see from her post that she's having trouble too as you will see from her previous post. I think they try to m ake it safer for people using it so thats why they change things but not always for the good.
Really dull and dreary here now and a bit misty too and bitterly cold out there its -0 degrees and 15 degrees indoors but I have not got the heating on at the mo.

You have done well to manage without heating for so long today Mel. I find if I am working and doing jobs I don't want it on as I get warm enough. Ours has been on a few times today for his lordship and his ear as he has had a lie down this afternoon. I now need my Nurse Gladys outfit on as he can't manage these drops on his own. They have to be warmed and after they go in he has to stay lying on his side for 5 minutes and they are twice a day for 8 days.
I've sent a pic of the painting. It may need a tweak or 2 when I see it in the daylight, I spotted the gate needs a latch for one thing. :-)
When we went to the chemist we were surprised how many people were out and about. It's not like it was with the first lockdown and more traffic too.
Your stew sounds lovely Mel, just right for this colder weather. :-)

I cooked the barley in the end and put it in just before the dough boys so I am hoping it won't stick to the bottom.
Yes the gate does need a latch and perhaps some foot print on the snow outside the gate. It a lovely picture Ann. You have the roof shapes just right. Iv'e emailed you.

Ann the painting is lovely I love the snowy ones . Hope OH'S ear feels better with the drops ,Colin use to lay on the bed when I use to put the oil in his ears to soften the wax , just make sure you don't put any cotton wool in the ear as that will suck up the drops .
Mel that stew sounds good ,have you done enough for tomorrow too ,I always think it's better the next day .
Island sorry can't help you with fb son always sets things up for me so I've no idea how to help.

There are some footprints Mel, but the shadows haven't shown up as well on the photo. I think a few more would be better though, darker ones where it is well trodden! The roof and shapes took me ages to draw and I had to keep rubbing the lines out, but the roof and the end walls make it so nice don't they.
Yes I like snowy pictures too Mandy. That's a good tip and I have told OH to just keep a bit of tissue handy and to dab his earlobe on the outside every so often, as he is daft enough to have put cotton wool in otherwise!! I've put an old towel over his pillow to sleep on too. His are antibiotic drops, so they would soon run out. He lay right in the middle of a double bed for me to put them in at first........he must have thought my arms were as long as an Orang Utan's!

Good morning, getting to be a habit last at night first in the morning, I obviously have nothing else to do. Dry here so far, fairly bright and 0 degree. My main plan is for my Tesco order 11-12 this morning, quite a big one as I couldn't get one for next week so next one is in 2 weeks. Good job I was out of the shower and awake (not necessarily in that order), as T just phoned. He doesn't normally phone his early but of course he didn't have a clue what time it was and they have breakfast at 0730 so it is like the middle of the day to him. Lucky I heard the phone as it was in my bedroom next door to this room. And lucky I was not in the shower.
anyway if it stays dry I might walk to the post box, I'wrote' (typed) a few long overdue letters yesterday so need to get them posted.
I wonder where Gill is, I do hope she is OK. Maybe she has computer problems. Quite a few days now since we heard anything.
