Afternoon all
Anng I hope all goes well tomorrow for you when you have your BCC removed and that is not too painful once the anaesthetic has worn off.
Frank I hope you manage to enjoy a little food tonight.Childs size plate sounds a good idea.
Today is a bit of a better one for me.Yesterday was bad.

So sorry about your Bantom Mel.Was this the one that was being got at by the others?
What beautiful sweet peas you are still picking.Beautiful colours.
I’ve just got a hot water bottle to hold on my tum so will lay down with it and read my kindle.
Sorry again not to comment on all the posts but I am reading them.Everything seems so much effort at the moment.

I am sure it is an effort to stay upbeat Jane. However it is always good to see you. My dreaded op is actually Thursday. But thanks anyway for your good wishes. Do you find the hot water bottle is better than a wheat bag. I assume you also have painkillers to take, do you manage to sleep ok at night? Always thinking of you <3 <3

Yes AnnG, I understood how changing it affected what happens to the image and is as you rightly say, but not what bit of the camera does it or how it does it. I still don't understand how a digital camera can have a film speed when it doesn't have a film? lol. The cake turned out well then which is good :-) I am beginning to wonder with their attitudes if some youngsters would like to see the demise of us baby boomers. No pensions to pay us that we have already earned..... and plenty of inheritances for them to look forward to. :-S It would be interesting to know what their parents' attitudes are.

Well the wipe down took just over half an hour today, a few subs, a few out of stock and I forgot to order small potatoes and just got baking ones. Not a problem though as I also ordered dauphinoise potatoes and already have frozen mash and some packet mash on standby.

That was lucky your shed wasn't damaged by the tree Mel and a shame you lost a bantam. Your sweet peas are lovely and I could almost smell them. I must start a list of what to grow next year and add them to it! My friend with chickens has just got 2 more and is getting a lot of eggs at the moment. My dad used to bring things indoors to dismantle and my first OH would sometimes but I made him put old sheets down if he did. I don't get that now but the downside is he doesn't mend things!

I'm thinking of doing a workshop on zoom in October to make a wool felted Robin. They provide you with a kit to do it as well and it costs £28. It will be useful to learn the proper technique and get tips and I'm not spending much elsewhere with not going out! :-D

I've finished painting the old terracotta plant pot today and it just needs a few coats of varnish so I'll see if I can send a pic tomorrow.

I'd forgotten to send my last post so didn't see you Jane. As t'other Ann says it is good to see you posting and don't bother about commenting on all the posts, as we understand it could be quite an effort when you don't feel up to it. I hope the hot water bottle helps, I often take one to bed now as it seems to ease any back pain. I hope Thomas is being a furry hot water bottle too at times and being good company, unless he is off hunting!

It's a shame you have lost some of your egg customers Mel. You could bake and freeze some cakes to use them up. I used to freeze cakes years ago and they were like just baked when I defrosted them.

That is true zany I don’t actually understand why the change of speed works must be something to do with the amount of lightallowed to reach the lense. (Or something :-D)

Lovely to hear from Jane. <3 <3 <3

I made a load of Scotch Pancakes this afternoon. When we had some with a drink this afternoon they were very chewy. I did use a different flour and it maybe that as I usually like Homepride. whether it was not enough milk so the batter was a bit thicker than usual or what I don't know but there's an awful lot to get though.

Morning Anng and all,

Poor T at least he had 40 mins that you know of. He dos'nt know what to do with himself to relieve the pain and I know exactly how he feels having suffered for years with a bad back in my twenties.

Its dull here today and it has been raining a little bit. Not very warm either.

I missed bin day last week. Completely forgot about it!! Oh asked me on the day which was'nt a lot of good as they come really early in the morning so it has to go out the night before.

Good morning dear FRIENDS,

Oh what a morning I am having. I have received an Email from DVLA Swansea, requesting me to update my driving licence details. I would love to know who these people are who run these places. When I had my STROKE 26th March 2004. I GAVE UP DRIVING Now more than 16 years later they are requesting my Bank details so as they can charge me for my new licence. The Telephone Number showing IS UNOBTAINABLE So I have decided to just IGNORE IT. What's the worse they can do. ?? take my licence away. ;-) ;-) ;-)

We had a lovely afternoon with Simon and Sally. They arrived here around 1.00 pm with flowers and a Handbag for Ros. for her B'Day. Lunch was set for 3.00pm but never got served until 3.40 pm. S & S had mussels for starter and R and I had Pate. We all went for the BEEF RIB with seasonal Veg. Roasties, and Yorkshire Pudding. The beef was to die for, and just fell of the bone and melted in the mouth. Neither Ros or I could eat it all, so it went into a doggy bag with the rib bones. This went home with S & S for the DOGS dinners. How lucky they must have been.

Haven't read any posts, but noticed that Jane has visited. I hope you are keeping as well as you can my love. seending love xx

Well it looks like we will be going to Devon on or about the 7/8th October. We we be visiting in the week before Ella's B'Day. So shouldn't be inconvenient to anyone. I just hope the weather is settled, so I can get to walk along the sea front.

I haven't heard from Harvey regarding the new shower. I hope he isn't just buying it without telling us. It would be just like him to do that. Will ring him later, to find out.

Nice bright sunny morning here. I have all doors and windows open, there is a cool breeze blowing through from the conservatory. Ros has her gardening gear on, so she going to do a bit more weeding, and potting some bits she bought on Saturday.

I hope that any of you who are under the weather, are feeling a bit better. Will try to pop back later this afternoon. Now going to get a coffee, and have a read. xxxx

Hi Everyone,

Will post later, but just wanted to say to Frank that the email he's had is a SCAM and to just delete it. They want your bank details to empty your bank!

Ditto Ann I was just going to say that but you got in before me.

SuffolkVera Report 28 Sep 2020 12:57

I’ll also ditto what Ann and Mel have said. Frank, no reputable company, bank or government department ever ask for bank details online. Delete the email and don’t click on any links.

Well that is the Tesco shop wiped and put away, with the dividing up of the meat for the freezer it took me an hour and a half, shattered now. T is still in pain if he sits down , not so bad walking and managed to water the baskets so was very pleased with himself. He is lying down for 20 minutes now and then says he is cooking us eggs on toast for lunch.

Frank Report 28 Sep 2020 13:58

THANKS GIRLS, I guessed it wasn't genuine, but thought I might be able to tract the BAS@@@@S that are doing it.

Ros has been busy outside and still is, while I am sitting reading my book. It's not that I am LAZY, but just unable to do anything that requires using any energy. I feel as weak as a kitten, and find I am breathing hard. I just have to try to relax and take deep breaths.

A neighbour down the road has stopped for a chat with John opposite. As I haven't seen him for some time I wandered over for a chat. He is in a scooter, which he bought from a family in the village, whose husband use to go round with his dog in the carrier on the front. It is only three months old, and got it for less than half price. On one setting it can go along unto 4 MPH, but at a touch of a switch it can go 8 MPH. But on the higher setting, he's not allowed on the pavement, and must have TAX and INSURANCE. How strange is that. !!!!

Time for a coffee and a bit to eat. See you later.

To be honest I think everyone in a mobility scooter should have some insurance. They can do a lot of damage if they hit somebody.

Morning all,

Anyone want any drizzle, just been to town to get a crab from the market and got quite wet ,I like to go early so there's not many people about ,I also needed to get
Colin 's birthday card for Sunday .

Ann I love the pot you've done a good job on it with the flowers and the little bee.
The squirrel looks like he was posing for you :-D

AnnG the cake looks good I had a look for a recipe for one and spied one with pecans in so might give that a go when we have some ripe bananas.

Frank you have some thing to look forward to now with your trip to the sea ,you watch what your doing now we don't want any falls so you can't go so you take care.

Nice for you to get a little trip out Mel even if it was only for fuel.

Love to Jane as always <3

Right time to wet my whistle with a coffee and then I'm going to sort another kitchen unit out ,did three the other day and filled two boxes for the charity shop ,manly little glass dishes, last count 21 dishes, and I kept some back ,goodness knows why there was so many ,just collected over the years I suppose I hope they will take them as I read lots of charity shops are bulging at the seams with stuff sorted out over the lock down.
