SuffolkVera Report 17 Sep 2020 16:05

Not what you planned AnnG but at least he is getting the scan. If there is something wrong, and we all hope there isn’t, treatment can be started sooner rather than later. If nothing serious is found you can be reassured. All my fingers and toes are crossed for you

I do hope they find what the trouble is with poor T as he is in so much pain now. There must be something for them to give him to relieve this dreadful pain. I hope too they don't have to hang around too long then I suppose they will have to wait for the results.

I have changed the bed and washed it and redressed it and picked a load of beans, some for tonight and I may just freeze the rest. I have some nice lamb chump chops for dinner so I am now ging to go and wash my hair while you know how is in the garden mowing. He stopped me doing it earlier as he was asleep on the spare bed and my hair drier is in there in the wardrobe and opening it makes a loud noise a sit has one of those ball bearing things that clicks in a hole.

Evening all,

What a long wait AnnG but it sounds as if they are giving him a good MOT so hopefully they can find out whats what and ease the pain for him .

Shopping all done and wiped so thats out of the way for a week .
Poor Jake he had yesterday off school with pains in his feet and today on his way to school he fell down as we were close he came here and we took him home ,long story short son took him to see the doctor and he thinks he's pulled some ligaments in his feet ,with not walking to school for so long and now back walking he said that hasn't helped so he advised them to get some arch supports for his shoes as he has quite flat feet with no arches ,he told him to put some frozen peas on his feet to take some swelling down and he's also going to refer him to the hospital .

Mel that;s not like you having a bad night ,hope you can sleep better tonight .

Ann i did finish the bunting but didn't take a photo ,DIL found a nice pattern on FB for a top she would like for the girls ,it's Azel pullover ,just a straight top with a polo neck and buttons at the side its very baggy so the side bits drop and become the sleeves if that makes sense ,knitted in chunky so it will knit up quick ,just got to see if they can get the pattern .

Vera i had a good giggle at your Gangsta Granny :-D :-D if you have a go at the bank will you get a little out for me please :-D :-D

Gill glad to see your headache is now easing off for you .

AnninGlos Report 17 Sep 2020 19:49

Got home six thirty by taxi. Didn’t feel like cooking so had pate on toast. Xrays showed nothing to worry about normal wear and tear on the back everything seemed ok blood tests BP etc so it is just try the meds and if no different go back to GP I suppose the fact they didn’t find anything is good news. And osteopath is booked for next week.

AnninGlos Report 17 Sep 2020 19:58

Annx Report 17 Sep 2020 19:58

What a wait AnnG, but at least they are starting to try and see what the problem is and sort some treatment for him. It is tiring sitting around in hospitals so I expect you will be exhausted by the time you get home. I hope you will at least get some answers today.

It's so nice when the wipe down isdone Mandy! I think I know what you meant from your description, but had a google and they should be nice and cosy for them and quite quick to do with the chunky wool. That's good your son will start next week. It will be good for him to be back in a routine again. Poor Jake with his feet in pain and couldn't make it to school. They must have been really bad. I hope some arches will help and that the pain and swelling soon go.

Gangsta granny lol. It must be a robbers paradise at the moment with us all being unrecognisable in our masks.

Yes you usually have good sleep Mel so today you will feel like the rest of us after a bad night, but hopefully tonight will be much better. I slept like a log again and woke about 7.00am. I did lie in till about 10.00am though.

Glad your headaches seem to be improving Gill. Hopefully it will carry on and you will feel much better.

Despite still feeling weary today (I think walking a bit awkwardly has worn me out) I managed to put the under sink things back in the cupboard there in a better order. We certainly have plenty of carpet shampoo. :-) Then I did some more sorting of my clothes and now have 2 big bagsful for the charity shop which we may take tomorrow. It is our wedding anniversary then though so may not be up early enough to avoid others dropping things off under the shelter at the back of the shop.

Annx Report 17 Sep 2020 20:01

Ooh I posted after you popped in AnnG. I'm glad there was good news that they didn't find anything to be of concern. Doesn't help the pain though, so I hope the osteopath can help when he goes. At least you both won't be as worried now.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 17 Sep 2020 20:21

Yes it does take some of the worry away, we have to get the meds from our local pharmacy which is good as it meant we didn’t have a further wait at the hospital pharmacy. The doctor also checked the hernia and said it was ok. OH was most impressed by the registrar in charge who he said was absolutely beautiful, Asian and in her twenties. :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 18 Sep 2020 10:20

Good morning all, sun shining but cool, only 12 degrees. We have to get the meds today so off later to local chemist for pharmacist. They are not normally that busy. We are both very stiff today, OH more than me of course, from all the activity (him) and sitting on the hard plastic upright chair with a very thin seat pad for 3 hours (me).

I slept until 4.30 then couldn't get back to sleep so also very tired.

Frank Report 18 Sep 2020 10:41

Good morning to all you lovely people.

Reasonable sort of day here, apart from the cold breeze. I opened all the window first thing, to freshen everywhere up, but was pleased to close them just now, as I was getting chilly.

Ros is on the front garden again this morning I don't know where she finds her energy and get up and go. Mine got up and WENT. I don't seem to have any energy or enthusiasm to do any jobs.

I am pleased to say I haven't got those HOT and COLD feelings today, or that horrible crawling feeling over my body.

As a small surprise for Ros's B'Day I have bought her a MEERKAT (SERGI) in a Tarzan outfit. Her main present (perfume) is delayed by upto a week. As I have already paid for it, I can't CANCEL, and anyway wouldn't be able to find another before tomorrow for her B'Day. As a surprise I asked ALEXA to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY, which she did. So in the MORNING I get ask her to sing it, when Ros gets up.

Martines OH is in hospital. He has a very FAST heart rate, which they are trying to control. As of this morning, they haven't been successful.

No noise from Denis and Pams builders today. In fact I haven't seen there lorry today. I hope they haven't employed some "COWBOYS" who come and go as they please. !!!!

Well it's time I got myself going. I need a shave, and will get a shower and get dressed. Still in my dressing gown. LAZY old Begger.

Stay safe all. xxxx

Morning Anng and frank and all,

Beautiful morning here although a bit breezy plenty of sunshine an pale blue sky.

Can't believe another week has gone by and its Friday again. Where are the weeks going?

Slept like a log last night and got up once for the loo and then at 10.50am. So raring to go now.

Hope Jane is feeling more comfortable today and that T is'nt so achey and poor young Jake's foot is'nt so bad this morning.

SuffolkVera Report 18 Sep 2020 12:24

Morning all

Good to see you’re feeling a bit better Frank. Ros will love her Sergei. I wish I had her energy as well. I don’t know how she manages to garden for so long at a time, particularly with her back problems. Good luck to her, it's good that she keeps going.

I’m sorry that T. Is in so much pain AnnG, but it’s reassuring that all the tests haven’t thrown up any serious problems. Perhaps the new meds will help him.

Poor Jake. The last thing he needs at his age is pains in his feet. Is he back at school yet?

I’m glad the headaches have eased Gill. Now don’t forget what your aunties on here keep telling you. Ease up on all the h/w, eat properly, stay hydrated and try to relax a bit. I know the relaxing bit is difficult when there are problems but stress is one of the major triggers for migraine. Take care.

Mel, I don’t know about the weeks flying by - where has the year gone? In a couple of days time it will officially be autumn. Then we’ll all be thinking of Christmas though who knows what Christmas will bring this year.

Ann, I nearly forgot. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU AND MR. ANN. I hope you both have a lovely day and many more happy years to come.

I hope fg’s daughter is continuing to recover and love, as always, to Jane <3

It’s another beautiful day, though it’s quite breezy and there is a nip in the air. I am hoping it is going to be warm enough to sit out this afternoon as my brother is coming for a couple of hours. There will only be 4 of us so we can distance indoors if necessary but we want to make the most of the decent weather before everything changes. I’ve been baking this morning so I can offer them home made cake with their cuppa. I’ve made a banana loaf with sultanas and cherries in and some nice blueberry muffins.

Well, I’d better get on as I want to shower before having a quick sandwich. Enjoy your afternoon whatever you are doing.

Good afternoon. Well a half successful visit to the pharmacy. Hospital had an error or one item and had put drops instead of spray (nasal). They don't do it in drops. So advice was they couldn't dispense the whole prescription. soon changed that, cross off the one that is unavailable. Unfortunately our lovely normal pharmacist was not there. Anyway next suggestion was we return to the hospital and get the prescription changed, no, not doing that, he needed to start the cocodomol now not tomorrow he is in agony today after the long time messing around yesterday. anyway got the cocodomol and another one that he has to take once a day antihistomin I think. Only instructions are on the packets, nothing inside for directions. Luckily he only had to take the cocodomol for one week. I am hoping he can tolerate them as some people can't. didn't then go to Tesco as I hoped but straight home so he could lie down.

Anywa enough of the moans. I then watered all the baskets which suddenly looked as if they were giving up the ghost and then made myself a coffe and had a read of the paper. I have heard him moving so seems he might be up. Better check.
