Pleased to hear your foot is improving Vera, strange that you don't really know what caused it though. Nice to have the ironing done which reminds me there are a few things waiting downstairs. OH requested cottage pie for this evening with baked beans so that is what I am doing. Yesterday we had Haddock fillets cooked on tomatoes with a few olives and new potatoes cut up and after almost cooking and butter added put in the oven to finish up and he ate all that.
It has come over very grey here so maybe your drizzly rain is heading our way Mel.
OH has just received a lovely box of Thorntons chocolated from my sister.

Afternoon All Oh Vera your poor foot !! Love the Chariot :-D. You could do with a setof reigns on it LOL I am reading the posts when I can but just am not up to commenting really .Sorry.I am not going through a very good time and now I find I cant eat solids :-S Other than tme moprhine I have my lovely hot water bottle which I hold against my pain and it helps a lot.
I think we are coming to the end of the lovely weather now.It is still nice but the wind has picked up. Chris decided to go and get a haircut today just incase hairdressers get locked down again. He did need it so now looks very tidy.I maessaged my hairdresser to see if he can fit me in sometime(if I feel well enough to go)My hair is looking like a mop.
I do hope Gill and Island are ok.Its always a worry when we don't hear from someone for more than a day or so.
I see the latest restrictions could be in place until December!!!I still wouldnt be surprised though to see a full lockdown again as there are so many idiots who are still not taking this seriously enough .
Mandy how did your Son's first day go yesterday? I bet he was glad to be back there again :-D
Frank, you are getting good service and I hope that you are able to get some help towards a Mobilty Scooter. That would be so good for you even if you got out on it once or twice a week.I can just see you bombing around Blisworth :-D :-D
Must go now

Jane so good to see you but really sorry that solids are defeating you now. Can you still eat soup? And is scrambled egg too solid?
Hopefully we won’t get a total lock down but I can’t see Christmas being very exciting this year.
I have forgotten when Hannah’s baby is due has she long to go now.
Well at least Chris is neat and tidy we had ours cut last week hopefully we will be able to keep our next appointment and they won’t be closed.
Take care, and as always thinking of you and wishing that horrid pain away. <3

I think though the wedding is going to be postponed until maybe May.This will be the second postponement as it was supposed to have been this July.
Just going to have some tomato soup

Good morning all, raining a bit here at the moment I am hoping it will stop this afternoon as I want to be able to walk to the opticians. If I take the car it will be difficult to park as there are two schools nearby and my appointment is 3pm.
Slept fairly well although in stops and starts.

Morning Anng and all,
Raining here too enough to see water coming out of the drain pipe on oh's shed. When I got up this morning and walked past the back window a big bird flew up at something under the windowsill. I think it was a magpie as I only saw black and white. It must have been after the spiders under the sills.
We've been seeing the Buzzard over the field lately and once being chased by crows. Coming on the bird feeder are Mrsh Tits and Black caps, Bluetits and great Tits and Norman Nuthatch. When we spoke to Jim the day before yesterday when he was cutting the back field he asked if I had taken all his wild birds as he had'nt got any. We said we have lots coming still but he owns the field where the Buzzard hunts so maybe that taken all his little birds.

Morning All,
Drizzle here too and we had to be at the surgery for our flu jabs at 7.50am so I didn't sleep well knowing we had to be up early and because it got very hot in the night here. Very well organised at the surgery and no sitting anywhere or for the jab or cotton wool and plaster strip after. They were using the 2 fire exits for people to leave by too. OH has gone for a lay down but because of a migraine not the jab.
So sorry to hear you can't even have the scrambled egg you like now Jane. I suppose it would be too thick liquidised too, but soups are tasty and nourishing. I remember clutching a hot water bottle to help ease period pain as a teenager and they do help. I expect you all can't wait to see the new baby and H must be enjoying choosing things for him now.
Frank, try to keep calm when the attacks happen and do the breathing exercise like Vera describes and keep it up for 10 minutes or more if necessary, even if you feel it isn't working at first. Put simply, this corrects the gases in your blood which are wrong from overbreathing you aren't aware of when the attack starts. You ask what causes them. Well anxiety attacks are different to panic attacks as panic attacks come out of the blue and are due to your general anxiety levels being raised for all kinds of reasons like concerns, worries, even in the back of your mind, including about the past and future. Keeping yourself calm and trying to stay relaxed all helps to lower the level of anxiety and so the risk of them happening. The NHS site is worth looking at to get a better understanding and things you can do. I hope you can get a scooter as I think that will help.
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/stress-anxiety-depression/understanding-panic/
Mandy I can remember dashing out of shops like your mum sometimes! It seemed that anywhere stuffy or hot sometimes made one feel imminent. OH dropped me at a shopping arcade while he went to a match once and I spent the first half hour sitting at an open air cafe after giving up going inside shops. I was fine after that though and went back again. They can really scare you off doing things or going out, but it's important to not let them as that is a rocky road. I decided to leave my car 3 days unless I have to use it to save wiping it and we can use OH's instead.
It sounds as if your OH is eating better now AnnG and that he is a little better.I hope it is dry for your trip to the opticians.
I have a Photography course starting in the morning so better see if I can remember what I've already supposed to have learned! We had a little ride out yesterday as you have to load a recent landscape photo you have taken on the site. A bit silly I thought as a lot of us take them on holiday which we haven't been on this year so don't have recent ones.

Morning all :-D Just popping in to say I'm still ticking :-)
Like many others, we had a lot on our plate before this virus disrupted our lives but in previous stressful times the 'net was a good distraction. Not so now though with so much negativity in the news - why can't people just ride this through and stop being so objectionable? When these bad vibes encroach on ones sleep it's time to close the lid and give it a wide berth. I'm ok, just getting on with arty crafting and enjoying the garden while we can so didn't realise how long since I'd posted. Beans all picked and podded now - I plan to stagger sowing next year to hopefully have more edible pods. Green tomato jam and chutney is bottled and maturing - we're down to the last two pickings of red toms so they will have to go on the grub drop order soon. The PS broccoli plants are doing well so we're looking forward to that.
Drizzle here too Annx and my flu jab is this afternoon! Are you my neighbour? LOL I was hoping it would be warm enough for a t-shirt - I hate having to strip off layers!
Jane, I'm wondering if eggnog might be a way of enjoying egg or would rawf be a no no? Egg soup? :-0 I just had I flash of the Julie Walters soup sketch!
I hope you all have a good day and not too much drizzle!

Ann its a shame you had'nt taken that lovely one with the big round bales across the corn field. That was a smashing photo and I often think of it. Hope you find something as good as that one for the photography course tomorrow. I can never remember things if I read instructions and still hav'nt read the ones to my latest camera. I am sure it does much more than what I use on it.
I must get our flu jabs ordered and see what we have to do to have them.

Hello Island. Nice to know what you have been up to. You've been busy by the looks of things.
Two of the three bantams had a go at the youngest one yesterday so I had to take her out and put her in the carrying box I have. She stayed in there over night and looks brighter this morning but not good enough to try annd get her back with the others. I don't know if they will accept her back.
The suns put in an appearance now but the sky is still grey in many places. Having said that its just gone in!!!!! I really should'nt speak of it when it comes out as I think I have frightened it away.

Afternoon all,
Thanks Annx for the info. I will look at the link later.
We have the drizzle too. Ros had done a coloureds wash, and was about to go out to put it on the line, when she felt the drizzle. So the washing will go on the airer in the conservatory.
The RAFA need a letter from the doctor, to say Iam in good health and would be able to handle a scooter. I rang the reception, who in turn got a Dr to ring me this morning. They want TWENTY QUID to do it. What a RIP OFF. :-P :-P :-P
Nice to see Jane and Island posting, I hope you are both making progress. I know how difficult it must be for our Jane. Just eat what you can and where possible what you FANCY. If the baby is a few days late, it could arrive on my Birthday. That would be nice. !!!!
Nice photo of Woody Mel, I don't think I have seen one, since living at Gayton, where there were a lot more Countryside.
Ros has had one of her CROWNS come out. The dentist can't replace it, and the tooth remains have to be extracted. The dentist have made an appointment at the BUPA Dentists in Northampton. When she rang to confirm the appointment, she asked if she was going PRIVATE as it was BUPA. YES it's a private practise, but there is NO CHARGE to her. Why her own dentist don't do it, I don't know, other than it might need special equipment, that the dentist doesn't have. :-0 :-0 :-0
F & C tonight, so no cooking. Ros will have Ham and Eggs, with a few of my chips, as she won't eat COD. She will eat Plaice, but they don't do it.
I'm still getting these HOT FLUSHES and crawling feelings, but not quite as bad, thank goodness.
It looks like all our lovely weather has finally come to an end. So only winter to look forward too. Boo Hoo. xxxx

Annx yes he is eating a bit better, not back to normal but eating enough. He just had home made veg soup and bread and butter for lunch. Last night he requested cottage pie and beans and ate a good helping. Occasionally it seems as if he is improving then it gets worse again. He has decided to stop the cocodomol, he felt it was making things worse and all it did was send him to sleep. I have to leave it up to him as he gets ratty if I try and persuade him otherwise. Doc is due to phone tomorrow A different doc as the one he was dealing with is not in this week.
I hope you managed a good landscape, would be difficult here as the weather is not good for photos, very gloomy.
Island good to see you/ good that you have so much t do that you can forget us!! We did miss you thogh so nice to see a post/

Well that is the optician done. new glasses ordered £450. Take two weeks, they will email then have to make an appointment to collect. Not very pleasant with the opticians glasses thing on and the mask but it was soon done in there about 45 minutes. Had a different optician as my usual man was called away for a family problem, she was ultra careful I think but I would say a lot more thorough. sometimes a change is good. OH now doubled up with back ache, bum ache and stomach ache (constipated). I am pretty sure his problem is caused by the cocodomol. Hope it will clear soon for him he has gone to lie down/
