Morning Vera and all,
About the same here weatherwise I think Vera. We have sun and clouds but plenty of the blue stuff.
Not a lot planned for today just to get in the garden at some point but I must clean the little loo first.
Hope Frank had some sleep last night and is'nt too sore today. I know he will be black and blue in some areas but take it easy and sit in your chair and read your books and stay out of mischief.
Wonder what Island's been up too over the weekend as I don't think we heard from her? Hope she's not having bad days.
SEnding love to Jane and hoping she feels more like herself today and not too down. Wishes and gentle hugs. <3 <3 <3

Morning Vera, Mel and all
Just watching the dog having a squirm on the carpet - 'doing his own hair' as we call it' LOL No wonder there's enough in the vac every time to knit another dog. Needle felting anyone?
I've just done a quick scan of the comments.
I hope Janes grotty feeling subsides soon and her mojo returns. Frank sounds to be in the wars. I hope he's not too sore now.
I don't know about anyone else but Fridays heat finished me off! Too hot to be outdoors in the day and by evening it was raining! Saturday, mostly spent in the garden but did a 'noticeable' tidy in the craft room. Big event yesterday *drum roll*..................... the tomatoes are turning! Yipee!
AnnG - and anyone else of course but I know Ann enjoys card making. Have you ever made little art books?
Have a good day all

Good morning all quite pleasant here, mostly sunny, a bit breezy and not humid. We needed a couple of things, like non slip mat for the bath (our shower is an over bath one) and another couple of bits. So we went to The Range for the first time since February. Got most things but the craft section was a bit depleted as I think they are getting Christmas stuff out. No problem with customers except one group with children running all over the place but the staff were a pain working in threes and fours shelf stacking and general king wandering around in the way so not a particularly nice experience but mostly safe enough. Luckily not that many customers,
Washing in now and Inreally must dust downstairs today. The house was much tidier and probably cleaner during lockdown.
Frank hope you are healing and don’t have too much of a headache today.
Jane hope you are on the UP <3
Vera that is a lot of washing in one day. I have spread about the same amount o er three days.
Mel did you get up the garden after cleaning the loo?
Gill is probably still sorting.
Annx that lunch did sound lovely again. Might you be tempted to give them another chance? Ooh I had not thought of using our big cool bag to store veg in when the fridge is full, good idea.
Your shop was a bit of a pain then, sounds like he was in a hurry and not very thoughtful. So far we still have bags and the delivery men have all bee very helpful
Island little art books. I have in the past made very small scrap books which I suppose is similar, two of them pocket photo scrap books but mainly any scrap books I make are 8x8 or 12x12. Art books would normally be paintings would they? Annx?

Yes I would like to know what art books are too please. Are they what AnnG said and tiny books with painting in?
No I hav'nt cleaned the little loo yet but have moved some plants around that are in pots and done a bit of dead heading on the patio and washed out a big tub from oh's fisih food so I can put the old chciken corn in and then wash out the big bin for that to get the new sack in there so thats a good job out of the way. Meant to do it yesterday but not sure where yesterday went!!!
I watched the first one of the new series on BBC 1 last week and did'nt think much of it as there was some subtitles and I'm not very good with those so I have given up on that one. BBC bring us back some good programs please? the ones oldies like us would like.
Right clean the loo and then get the lunch.

Afternoon all, Thanks for your concerns.I do appreciate it. I had a uncomfortable night last night. I managed to stay up until 10.30, and was glad to get my head on my pillow. I woke a few times due to turning my head onto the dressings. Under the dressing I think there is a hard block of congealed blood.
I have rung the DOCTOR TWICE this morning, as yet with no success. The receptionist has said someone will ring me this afternoon. I wait with baited breath !!! All I need to know, is when I can start my ASPRIN AGAIN. and when can I get my dressings changed (As directed by the Hospital's Doctor). Our local Surgery seems to be going down hill fast, regarding service. Ros is considering following FIVE other families she knows, to another Surgery, but that is around 8 miles away. So we will need to think this through very carefully. The surgery in the village has FIVE other surgery's around the area. So it might be that the practice is short of trained Doctors, and Nurses, and finding it difficult to cover everywhere. That's not my problem.
A pleasant day here, even though it's very cloudy. I think there is promise of rain later today. ROS was going to Valerie's for a coffee this morning, and a catch up. But not knowing what's happening with the Drs. she didn't go.
I had a book arrive this morning. Looking at it, I would think it's only been read once or twice. It's in excellent condition. From the preface it looks like one I will enjoy. It's about the worlds most wanted ARMS DEALER.
Going to finish a coffee Ros has made, then I am going to lie down on the bed for an hour, I have "TWO LOVERLY BLACK EYES" That was a song, wasn't it. ?? and a throbbing headache. Might catch later. xxx

AnnG and Mel - this sort of idea. Obviously you can embellish to your own ideas and bits and bobs available.
I hope this link works as it's a blog.

I think it's great Ann, hence why I'm going to have a go. I've been following the blog author on FB for years, she is very creative and a real stitching dynamo. i much prefer these intriguing little books to big kit craft scrap books.

I see you've all been busy chit chatting ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
We've had a busy day today, OH went back to the dentist but had to see a different one this time as he's usual one wasn't in. She said he shouldn't of given him antibiotic injections, which didn't work fully anyway, so she's given him antibiotic tablets instead and will ring him in a week to see how he's getting on. She popped the abscess which OH said was awful as he couldn't swill his mouth with the virus around, he said it tasted awful. He then had to take the car to the garage to have two new tyres fitted and also booked the car in for it's MOT. It's not due until September but the fella at the garage said he would be fully booked up soon as the government have said he has to do all the MOT's for those who had the six month holiday, so all his regular customers are busy booking their cars in. So ours is booked in for September and all he needs to do now is book the car in again for the other two tyres to be changed as we couldn't afford all four at the same time. He only needs to give the garage two days notice so they can order them in, so not to bad.
We've just had our neighbour's Son-in-law around to tell us he passed away last Saturday. Apparently he had a fall two weeks ago and never recovered. It was Mr Grumpy, the one attached to us, not the new neighbour. His SIL told us he was a hoarder so it's going to take a while to sort the property out, he said there'll be lots of skips coming and going. His son is staying there at the moment, so if we hear someone we'll know who it is. The place has been empty for almost a year as Mr Grumpy went to stay with his daughter when he took ill with Cancer. His SIL said he'd let us know when the funeral is, but I don't think we'll be going with the virus around as it's to risky.
So as you can see we've had a day of it one way or another. I did manage to do a bit more sorting, which has now been boxed up out of the way. I still have some more to do, but it shouldn't take to long to finish.
I haven't caught up with the posts yet, so hope Frank is okay after his fall and managed a good nights sleep. I hope everyone else is okay. I'll try and catch up with the post tomorrow.

Oh told me this morning that there was a heron under the net on my pond this morning he came in to call me but when he went back out it had gone. I have fed the fish twice today and can only see 5 big ones. Hav'nt seen any of the smaller ones so I think he has cleared them out. He must have got in between the side netting and the top netting. All the smaller ones were my babies over the years since the otter cleared it out before.

Could the little ones be hiding Mel, under anything?
It must have been a very hungry Heron to risk getting trapped unde the net

Evening All,
A nice day again today with sun and cloud. I'm having trouble with the latest cue flowers not opening and the tiny cues not developing again so I've given them an extra dose of feed and water and will see what happens. I must pickle a few tomorrow as we have about 8 now.
Thanks for mentioning about MOTs Gill as mine is due in late September and OH's is under the extension so will be due soon after. I hadn't thought about everyone booking their cars in so I will book ours in tomorrow. So you will be having new neighbours the other side too now. You said before that you were wondering when Mr Grumpy would be coming home. It sounds like you will have more noise now from the other side when they start clearing the bungalow out. I hope the tablet antibiotics are effective for your OH, but that was a nuisance not being able to rinse the nasty taste away. If my appointment can go ahead next month I think I will take a small bottle with some mouthwash in. At least you can swish your mouth and back in the bottle when you get back in your car then! Sorry if anyone is eating!
I was thinking the art books must be miniature paintings or something. Thanks for the link Island . It looks interesting so I look forward to seeing your results!
Neither of us did what we planned today as I found homes for some of the clutter that had accumulated on the kitchen worktops! I don't know about you, but with having cupboards full of food and cleaning stuff, there isn't much spare space anywhere. OH says our second bedroom is starting to look like Arkwright's shop with loo rolls, packs of biscuits and other homeless goods! Me clearing some clutter set him off in the conservatory and garage, so between us we started a sort out and have filled the bin ready for collection tomorrow. I also put some shoes in the charity shop bag I've started filling and some old, cheap jewellery. Why do we hang onto shoes that rub our heels? :-S We have a bit more space in the conservatory now and more room around the freezer in the garage which is good.

So yuo've had a good day then Ann making room with some old stuff out of the way.
I have answered your email.
I dug out a couple of small brimbles from the box hedge area I have been trying to clear a bit but thats about all today apart from getting dinner.
I have to be up early tomorrow as its the big wipe down day. I must admit when I let oh loose on the hsopping list we get htings we have aready got and things we don't really need and have a pile of stuff in the lounge. I should really get down to the bottom cupboard and have a good chuck out. The thing is once i am down there I find it hard to get back up as my knees won't lift me anymore. I shall have to bring my kneeler in from the garden that oh bought me as I can push up on the handles but can't kneel for long on it.
Wonder if Island start her little scrap book?

As you can see it's almost 2am but I thought you would all like to know Sandra is on her way home. She didn't like living with her sister and boyfriend and rang us earlier to pick her up from Leeds. OH went on his own so there was room in the car for all her stuff. Needless to say Michelle and Michael called the police, no surprise there, but it worked in Sandra's favour as they stayed there until she was almost ready to leave, they couldn't stay any longer as they were called to an emergency. Sandra and OH should be home around 2.30am then we need to unpack everything.
OH has just started a new job and has to be in work at 8am so he's not going to get much sleep tonight.
I'll know more tomorrow when I've spoken with Sandra properly, but thought I'd let you all know now as I won't be back on here until very late tomorrow or the day after and didn't want you all worrying where I was. I can't see any of us going to bed until around 4am as she has a lot of stuff to bring in. We can't leave it in the car as OH needs it for work, so it has to be done tonight.
Speak again as soon as I can.

As you can see I am still awake Gill. Well, that’s a real bombshell. I am lost for words though I am sure you must be delighted that she is coming back. Did you have any inkling that things weren’t right? I don’t understand why M & M called the police or why they attended unless they thought there was a danger of violence or a crime being committed. Still, it sounds as though it was a good job they were there.
Come back on when you can but give yourself time. You may need a few calm, quiet days to get settled down again.
I am very happy for you.

Just a quickie as I am sitting here tryin not to wake OH I got up as I woke with a stiff neck. Gill wonderful news for you and as Vera says, what a bombshell.. I honestly thought it was all ok and sandra was happy and you had accepted it. all very disruptive for you as you had settled into the new way of your life, but I am sure you are pleased. I have no idea why yet again they would call the police, or why the police would attend. i would have thought they were too busy. They must have convinced them that your Oh was going to forceably take her away. But sounds as if Sandra convinced them otherwise. Let's hope this is an end to it now.
I don't think we knew that your Oh was changing jobs although we knew he'd had a successful interview. It probably has slipped my mind. Have a lovely day welcoming Sandra back, don't worry about us. Although you know we will be waiting for news.
WELCOME HOME SANDRA! <3 <3 <3
