Glad to hear that all is well at the care home Gill and that OH and the rest of the staff will soon be tested.
Are we doing the CLAPPING tonight? I must remember not to do it too early like last Thursday.

Vera what a week you have had.It was a right humdinger of a migraine you had.Not nice either to have nightmares with it. You must take it easy now for a while.

Frank I also think Ros should not be going out to the shops like she is doing. Also I wonder about Simon and Sally on the boat.

Mel what geat eggs you had from dear Mona, and lovely pic of Phil and the butterfly.
I haven't seen Thomas again since yesterday afternoon. I am sure he will turn up when he is ready but I do worry. There is no chance of keeping him in. I hadnt heard about keeping cats in.

We have an aerial hangng off the post on our roof. It must have come loose in the wind the other week.It is just dangling. But will have to continue hanging for now. Touch wood the TV arent affected.

Chicken and Mushroom Pie (from the Butchers) tonight wit hnew Potatoes and Carrots and Broccoli .

Evening all,

We have had the last couple of days in the garden it's been so lovely out there in the sunshine ,i did go to Boots and get our tablets ,there was five people in front of me ,there was no going in they came out with a note pad took your name and address and brought your tablets outside to you ,i asked if my Statin was in the bag ,no she said so i got her to tick the prescription and put in their box in store ,when i got home there was a box in the bag so i doubt i will get that lot ,the only trouble is i now won't have a prescription to order the next lot .

Oh Vera what a horrible time you've had ,rest up and take it easy for the next few days <3

Oh Jane poor Chris with the sander packing up ,isn't always the case when you want to get on and get the job done ,to do it by hand would take forever i hope he can find one and have it delivered so he can get on .
That was brilliant service with the injections considering how busy they are at the moment ,well done them
Yes we will be out on the step tonight ,last week i rang a bell i had , this week i have a wooden spoon and a saucepan ,all the neighbours try to make as much noise as we can last week some of them got in their cars and tooted the car horns :-D

Frank you'll have to put your foot down and keep Ros in ,i thought you were having a food delivery so why does she need to go out ,try and keep her safe and inside .

Thanks for the lovely photo's of the moon , we went out and had a look it was so bright and just like day light out side .

Mel no wonder she's a moaner :-D makes your eyes water just thinking about her pushing that one out :-0

We put our little plastic covered green house up today ,what a performance trying to remember what pole goes where :-D we've lost the paper we had with it that shows how to fit it together ,i even took a photo last year to help us this year but it still it took us all morning with a coffee stop of course :-D

So pleased to hear from Vera but the week must have seemed so long to her and it dos'nt really sound as though she is right yet. Sending love Vera and hope you get a better night tonight. <3 <3

Gill we have hogs around too but I also have a rat so am loathed to feed them yet. They are mostly out the back where I can't see them but they are leaving plenty of calling cards.

Annx Report 9 Apr 2020 20:03

Oh what a few days you have had Vera! Just take it easy for a day or two now. Those migraines sound awful. I still haven't looked for our battery charger, so have just made a note! With all the trips we had to make to the chemist we were using each car in turn to try and keep batteries charged.

Jane luckily you don't need an aerial for cable tv so should be okay. Your chicken and mushroom pie sounds nice. :-D Thanks for your easter card.

Gill it will be good for your OH and the others to get tested. How nice you have a little hedgehog trotting about in your garden. It's good you still hear from Sandra and that she knew you would want to see the pink moon.

Mandy it's awful when you go to do something and have lost the instructions. I hope you managed to get your greenhouse up in the end. That's good you got your tablets without a lot of queuing. We just do a little note with what we need if we don't have a prescription to put in at the surgery. I hope you are doing ok with your statins.

Gillx Report 9 Apr 2020 20:53

The clapping wasn't as loud tonight, although the fireworks are still going off and people beeping their horns, I can also hear people banging on what sounds like pans, it's nice to hear. OH heard it again when he left work tonight.

Sometimes they have instructions on the Internet Mandy, maybe you could find it on there and print it off ready for next year, or write down how you did it and put it with the greenhouse.

OH told me the hedgehog didn't eat the nuts so it must of been the pigeon. He's just put some out now so the hedgehog can have it tonight, we think he just didn't come back. He's very big so isn't starving. It was lovely to see him, but I was a bit nervous of him walking over my feet, luckily he didn't and trotted off down the garden. I do like hedgehogs but not when it's dark for some reason. Daft aren't I lol.

I see everyone is wondering when the lockdown is going to end, it's only been 17 days so I can't see it ending anytime soon. It's all the people out of work and the business's that are going under. We're lucky with OH and his job as he can still go to work, lucky to that he got the job just before the lockdown happened. He'd only been in the job a month. He's still as tired as ever though and falls asleep as soon as he sits down. I've got used to it now so just catch up with programmes I've recorded. I've found so many programmes that I enjoy, so plenty for me to watch.

I've just started with a sore tum, hope it doesn't last long it's quite painful. Luckily I have some Imodium in if it gets any worse.

Going to watch Masterchef now, I recorded it earlier for OH to watch with me, hopefully he'll stay awake long enough to watch it all.

Oh Vera sorry you were so poorly it sounds horrible. Hope you will soon be properly better.
We put both our cars on charge last week.
Jane you asked about the Aldera this is the last week thank goodness in fact I decided to finish after yesterday’s session as it is making me feel rough and two sessions missed will be fine.

Thank you for the Easter card. Jane.

Annx your cars should be ok for a while as they have been driven. Ours haven’t

Gill they test to see if the virus is present as it can be without symptoms.

Morning all,

Another beautiful day with wall to wall sunshine.

I had a good nights sleep and feel refreshed this morning which is good.

Did anyone look at the moon last night? I forgot to do it early enough to see it come up but it was still pink when it was higher in the sky.

Friday again I don't know where the weeks are going of this new year. It only seems like Christmas was a week or so ago.

Annx

Annx Report 10 Apr 2020 12:15

Morning All,

Yes another lovely day as you say Mel. I see my carrots are growing now too but still no sign of the old lettuce I planted. I managed to order more veg seeds from a place that delivers more quickly and will order some orange french marigold seeds today. OH has cleared the soil off the path from when the raised beds were dismantled so I have another job jet washing that now and the little paved area in front of the shed! Maybe tomorrow as I have been busy steam mopping the kitchen and ensuite while OH has been hoovering. A few more days and he will be up to date with all his notes.

Gill OH has had some tummy problems the last day or two and I think it's because his system has slowed down with sitting and not walking about enough. He's drinking more today and has done a short stint on the cross trainer. Yes, some things have been lucky for you with your OH getting the job and still being able to do it unlike all of those that are having to stay at home. I think going back to work after not working for so long and doing some nights too are bound to make him feel tired for a while and he has also done some extra shifts hasn't he.

AnnG it will be good to feel ok again after the side effects with that cream. Do you have to be seen again to have it checked? I expect it has healed well by now.

I think I shall see if I can make some headway sorting and filing in here so I will have room for my paints. I am quite fancying a more relaxed day if it is going to be hot.

Lunch will be easy as I froze 2 portions of a chicken thigh casserole I made before this all started!

AnninGlos Report 10 Apr 2020 12:16

Good afternoon, the morning seems to have disappeared. We were not up late but sat eating bacon sandwiches and chatting for a while, then emptied the dishwasher and OH todled off into the garden. I then prepared the meal for tonight stewing steak, shallots, mushrooms, half tin chopped tomatoes and carrots in the slow cooker. I hen had to deal with the rest of the kilo of carrots so cut some up for the freezer. I am hoping the stew will do two days so I can turn it into something on rice tomorrow with the other half of the tin of tomatoes. Have got pre prepared mash with it tonight. I had meanwhile done a load of washing, some in the drier and some on the line. Made coffee as OH cmae in looking for it and he put the kettle on.

Next cleared up the kitchen and disinfected the work surface ready for the food that cynth next door had gone to buy. She went to Sainsbury's and there was a long queue to get in but she could get all I wanted on the list. She (isn't she lovely?) also treated us to 3 hot cross buns (half a pack) and a dark chocolate easter egg.

Emptied the drier and put more in from the line as it is thick stuff and not drying.

Came up here to read e mails.

AnninGlos Report 10 Apr 2020 12:22

good job I checked back ann as you crept in before me.

I will need to see the doctor in July, it takes a while to see if it has worked.

I have found that my system is not as good as usual and I am sure it is because I am not walking around much. although we don't go specidically walking any more, when we go to town we easil walk three miles. The most I do round house and garden is a mile.
You have been busy this morning. I don't know about everyone else but I wake up thinking about what we are going to be eating, what is in the freezer and trying to plan ahead as far as I can. It is working so far.

I missed you too last night Gill. How lovely to see the hedgehog up that close. I expect the pigeon was very grateful.

Afternoon to you all, from a very sunny Northants.

It is so lovely out there, Ros is down the garden, yet again, doing more weeding and trimming.

Sorry, but Ros doesn't keep going out, the reason for going out was to deliver Martines B'Day present, and while out got some pre-packed meals. We are taking the advice VERRY SERIOUSLY not like these idiots, who are still meeting up in groups. The police should certainly come down on them.

I was surprised to see Valerie next door standing in her garden with Tony, AND HER SON and DIL. Her health is not good, so visitors, I would say, is a COMPLETE NO NO. !!!! I just called over to say Hi, and carried on with what I was doing.

A woman in the village has started a book type club, for anyone wanting books to read. I asked for a couple, which she left on the door step this morning, with a note to pass them on when finished reading them. How nice is that.

I'm off to get a coffee and sarnie, and going to sit on the patio for a read. Take care everyone. xxxx

Afternoon all,
Another warm day and we've done a bit more tidying this time in the shed ,things just seem to get put down in there and not back in the place they should be so that's a bit tidier now .

Jane thank you for the Easter e-card it was really sweet .
Shame they have the radio blaring away next door just when you want to sit out and enjoy the sunshine ,is it the people that are doing the work were they had the fire?

Now before i forget i saw that The sewing Bee will be on Wednesday 22nd but i didn't see the time .

Hmmm just the kind of thing that could pass on the virus taking books from someone else. I hope you wiped them over with some anti bac.

Did a bit of gardening this morning and am going back out there this afternoon after I have washed up.

Parcel arrived and oh has bought a new camera to watch the ogs on and is moving the other two so we can see all round the bungalow. There seems to be a big one over by the chickens by what it leaves behind.

He also bought me a load of Guinness chocs, 5 packs all different. I shall share them with him they are instead of an egg.

It's felt a very long day today and it's only 3.30pm just gone. I tried to do a bit more of my tree but got stuck again, so I'm going to see what's on TV instead.

Sorry to hear your OH has had a sore tum as well Ann, mine is much better today. I had a bath last night and an early night, well a lay down in bed as I didn't get to sleep until gone 4am with all the tossing and turning I was doing. Surprisingly I don't feel tired today considering I didn't have much sleep last night.

It sounds like you're all busy with your gardens, I can't do mind on my own, so nothing has been done this year. It does feel strange not working in the garden anymore. I have moved a few small pots around over the past few weeks, but I think that was boredom more than anything as they didn't really need doing.

I tried looking for the moon last night but it must of been to low down as I couldn't see it.

Going to get a drink now, I'm quite thirsty today.
