Oh dear Ann, your OH didn't have much luck at the Chemist, all these extra trips out for meds isn't good either. Can the Chemist deliver them to you, mind you until you get the meds right it wouldn't be worth it. I hope things improve soon, although it doesn't sound likely by what you said.
So you have a nice clean bathroom now Mel, did you get you washing dry in the end?
So nice clean windows in your conservatory now AnnG, it'll make it brighter on dull days now. I sounds like you're getting on well with your cards if you have so many birthday cards already lol. Have you tried just walking around a bit every now and then, it would stop you back feeling so sore with sitting down a lot? Pity you can't get out in your garden but the cold wouldn't help you back would it? The sun's just come out here, but it's not very warm, there is a bit of a cold breeze around.
So it's a new oven and having it moved, more expense as you say Frank, but hopefully it'll be easier for Ros to use and you won't need to move it again anytime soon. I see Harvey was being careful to keep his distance, he's very good isn't he?
When OH took his friends shopping around the other day he wouldn't except anything for it, his friend has done so much for us in the past and wouldn't except payment, so it's only fair we do the same for him. He kept insisting but OH wouldn't tell him how much it was, so he couldn't give him anything. OH even offered to go to the shops again as his friend put banana's instead of potatoes in his text, but he said it was okay as he doesn't eat them very often and had a tin of potatoes in if he needed them. He's a very proud man so I think him asking for help goes against the grain for him. At least he's staying in doors and keeping safe which is the main thing and he's very grateful of OH's help. OH left the shopping on his door step and talked to him through the window, keeping a safe distance away from him.
I'm starting to wonder when the peak of this Coronavirus is going to be as they were saying most of the deaths are from people who contracted the illness before the lockdown was in place. Hopefully things will peak soon, then start to get better. I just hope there aren't many more deaths.
Did anyone hear about the woman who lost both parents 12 hours apart, first she got a phone call about her mother, then later that day another one about her father. I felt so sorry for her.

Gill it is the window blinds he has been taking down and cleaning not the windows. Yes I do walk around every so often and was up and down stairs as I was washing and drying the bedding..
The only thing with OH’s friend is if your oh didn’t let him pay he won’t like to ask again.

Yes I couldn't believe I got a Tesco slot either AnnG and rushed to get something in the trolley and paid and saved so I wouldn't lose it. I still want an Asda one though so I can click the box for a recurring slot which Tesco don't seem to do. Our groceries arrived 10 minutes early and are squirrelled away now. We stayed inside and I gave the cheerful man who delivered two thumbs up through the window.
Anng I hope your back settles soon. Are you gritting your teeth whenever you stand up? You have got on well with your cards though and are another who's changed the bed. Did you get a letter from Civil Service Pensions today? We both did and it was just to assure us our pensions would carry on being paid! I have trouble with box lids falling over so have cut a cereal box down and use that to store some of them upright in.
Mel it's good the hogs are leaving their calling cards as long as it's not on the decking. We had no frost here. Has your OH got used to his short hair and did he manage to fix the mower?
Frank I think Harvey is a treasure and that was good to keep apart to protect you all. What a shame you will need a new cooker now but Ros sounds pleased to have an excuse to rearrange things in the kitchen! :-)
No Gill but we are on their waiting list for home delivery. They said they had a years applications for delivery in just one week so I'm not holding my breath we will get one before things get back to normal. Your OH is very kind to your old friend and it must be very reassuring for him to know he will help. I saw that about that lady who lost both parents and thought what a shock it must have been for her as they were probably both quite well a month ago.
Maybe my paints will come out tomorrow as I'm too tired now and want to see some recordings on the telly.

I have sort of lost hope of ever getting a slot. It is ridiculous I hope the slots that have gone have gone to people who are shut in for 12 weeks or NHS etc staff and not to under 70s who can go to the shops themselves. But well done Ann on getting a slot and a delivery. I think it does depend on your area.
Yes I got a letter re my pension. Must admit I had not considered it might not be paid. But I suppose it would be possible.
Yes I grit my teeth when I stand. It is more painful again this evening. I think it is the arm chair I sit in in the evening, not much support as it is soft leather.

Yes Ann he loves his short hair. When he came out of the shower this evening he said to me "Have you seen my lovely haircut?". It did'nt look so good this morning when he got up as he had two very flat sides where he had lay on his pillow and he does go from one side to the other when he sleeps. He's been out mowing today in between coming in for a arm up but I can't get him to wear a hat!!!!!! He did fix the mower. He took the deck off the old moweras the belt or pully was stuck. He has been using that mower and not picking up the grass cos he has to go and dump it right over the end of the field behind the chickens. He also fiddled with the digger today and I see he has its battery on charge.
I have RABBITS again. There were four baby ones in the back field in the week and yesterday when I walked past the old chicken house one was up the side of it. I blocked all the escape holes under it and put a trap one end under the last hole. No luck but today I saw a really baby bunny run behind a piece of wood stood against oh's workshop. I lifted it back and it looked at me and shot under the old house.
Then when I was washing up I saw two big ones in the top garden. I had opened up the pop hole through the fence that goes across the arch into the top garden so I will let them go in and out and then put the trap there once I have seen them come out or go in. We may be living on rabbit stew in the next few weeks.
Oh got into the ol companys website today and it looks like it may come tomorrow hopefully. I am fed up with boiling the kettle and the big sausepan for the washing up and washes and I want to wahsh my hair which can only be done over the bath.
I have a really itchy eye tonight.

Morning LaGooner and all,
How are you coping in this lock down? Are you getting shopping?
A brightish dry morning here but theres quite a lot of cloud in the sky. Over the back they are working on the trees again. Its only one man who works on his own and not too near us.
Vera I loved the bin bags and AnnG that poem hit the nail on the head did'nt it?
I put oh's washing out at 1.30am this morning and went to bed this morning its nearly dry.

Afternoon all,
Ros has made FOURTEEN MASKS for the girls in the surgery, there are 7 of them, so 7 in use and 7 in the wash. She is now getting a "BACK LOG" as she has run out of elastic. I have put out a request of the village notice board, but with no reaction. I have ordered 10 metres from Ebay, so just waiting for it to come.
Harvey is worth his weight in GOLD. Whenever we need something doing, he always finds time to come and do it.
We are both well, even though I had yet another bad night. Terrible dreams and a lot of shouting (ROS SAID). Bed cloths all over the place this morning.
All showered and shaved. by 10.00 am. I haven't shaved for a week, as I was thinking of growing a beard. But Ros, would have NONE OF THAT. !!!! So off it came, I must admit I do feel better without it. lol lol
I have the job of cleaning the oven, and the wire trays. Also there ar three bird feeders that are BUNGED UP with seed, from the rain. So out comes the rubber gloves and an old coat, to keep my T shirt clean.
I hope you are all behaving yourselves, and doing what you are told. Will perhaps get back this evening. xxxx

good aftrnoon all, nice to see you on here LG.
It was sunny early and the sun was warm but it soon clouded over and is quite chilly now. We tidies out the kitchen cupboard that has all the alcohol in (except wine). I think we have enough to last although will run out of tonic for the gin. :-D
OH IS DOWN THE GARDEN SORTING OUT HIS DAHLIAS, i HAVE WASHING IN THE DRIER SO NEED TO CHECK THAT BUT HAVE JUST SPENT 20 MINUTES WATCHING A VIDEO OF OUR GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER HAVING A HOME SCHOOLING READING LESSON. Sorry didn't mean to shout I caught the caps key, don't want to do it all again. She will be 4 in June and is coming on well with her 'maths' very basic of course and her letters and writing. I think the home schooling is doing her good. Daddy is doing the PE mostly but they are sharing the schooling taking a day each.
Glad you all liked the poem I thought it was very good.

Afternoon All,
Hi LA Gooner, hope you are keeping well too. I have started getting hayfever symptoms too but have managed to get some antihistamines.
It's dull and chillier than it looks outside. OH weeded the island beds this morning and then helped me with the waterfall rocks, We managed to do all the ones that needed levelling in one go. There was me thinking it was the soil sinking that moved them and it was the ants!!! Their tunnels and eggs were everywhere so I will find the ant killer ready for when I see some on the move and see if I can keep on top of the problem this year!!
That's good your OH is able to get into the garden today Anng. I love Dahlias and all the variety there is. I think one called House of Orange that I grew when I was first married was the first one I ever grew. How nice to be able to see a video of your gt granddaughter doing her schooling (Inara?). I was thinking last night that compared with my grandparents in WW1, we have so much we can do with having the internet. They didn't even have electric lighting.
Mel, when OH first gets up his hair flattens and he has little horns at the sides with having no hair on top!! lol. That's good he could fix the other mower. The farmer was in the field at the back this morning and towing a big roller. I've not seen him use that before and he usually puts a few beasts in the field this month, so maybe it is very rutted with the bad weather. Little baby bunnies are so cute, but I know you quickly get overun with them and they eat everything which is no joke. I must see if I have any runner bean seeds and get them planted if I have.
I see you have some chores to keep you busy Frank. You did have a bad night with those dreams. It sounded just like the nights OH used to have with the shouting. They disturb and can be quite alarming for a spouse too!
We just had a nice salad with a jacket potato and tuna so I'm catching up with bills etc for a while now.

Hi LG, I hope you stay safe and well too, and get some relief from that hay fever. I’ve never had it but my son used to suffer really badly and was always coming home from school with bloody shirts where he had sneezed so much he had had a nosebleed.
It’s sad about Eddie Large. I was never keen on the comedy duo but any death is sad and his family will be grieving.
Have you got your oil yet Mel? You seem to have been waiting for ages.
Frank, what would you do without Harvey? He is a real gem. I’m on Ros’s side where the beard’s concerned. My OH had better not start growing a beard or there will be a falling-out. If other men don’t shave for a couple of days they have designer stubble, mine just looks like an old tramp.
How’s your back now AnnG? It must have been lovely watching the little one having her reading lesson. At that age they are like little sponges. They’re curious about everything and want to learn. I’ve never forgotten driving a granddaughter somewhere or other when she was about 5. In one short journey we discussed the powers of fairies, how dentists make false teeth, why buses have numbers and church design and architecture! It’s a shame that love of learning doesn’t stay with a lot of the kids. My daughter was telling me that barely 25% of the teenagers at her school are logging in to the online lessons they are supposed to be doing.
I now know what happened to my cousin in Spain. She has been trying to sell her house and come back to England for a long while. She eventually sold a few weeks ago but couldn’t come home immediately as her husband had several hospital appointments lined up and they needed to get permission for him to fly. So they rented a little place for five weeks. Now all his appointments have been cancelled but Spain is in lockdown so they can’t get home. There is no WiFi where they are and Mobile reception is dreadful. She managed to contact her sister in Cornwall this morning just to let her know they are OK but the line kept breaking up so they couldn’t chat.
OH has had a good clean up in the paved area at the front of our house and the patio and path round the back and if the weather is right he’ll spray it tomorrow with Wet & Forget.
I decided last night that I was going to go online at midnight and see if I could get another delivery slot from Tesco. I got straight in and there were slots available so I clicked on one and then started shopping. I placed a bit of an order just to keep the slot open and pressed Checkout. The screen told me to book a slot!! So I tried again; same thing. I went back to book a slot again only now they had all gone. I was so frustrated and, though I don’t swear much, I said a few choice words. I think it was my own fault. I was overconfident. Because I have been having an online delivery for 10 years I know exactly how the site works. Usually you click on a slot, it says Booked and you start shopping. Last night I think the site was running a bit slow and I didn’t wait till it said Booked. Serves me right but I shall now have to try again tonight.
I was so het up and angry with myself that I couldn’t settle down so I got my book out and read till 2 am. Then I dozed and woke on and off till I got up at 7.30. I’ve been yawning my head off all afternoon so I am not looking forward to staying up till turned midnight again.
We had minted pea and ham soup for lunch, which was very tasty, and tonight it’s shepherd’s pie. I’m just drinking a cuppa. I’d rather it was a glass of wine but I think that will send me into a headachy doze so I’d better stick with the tea.
Sleep well everyone and stay safe.

Afternoon all (Just)
Sunshine and showers today, not much rain though and it was only fine rain, so the garden is going to need watering soon.
I've got a bit of a headache I can't seem to get rid of, but wanted to catch up with the posts so thought I'd come on here before having a lay down, I don't want to take to many painkillers as they seem to stop working if I take them regularly. Although I think I might have to take one soon as it's not going on it's own.
Yes, I noticed earlier that Eddie Large had died Mel, such a funny man. I remember him in Little and Large.
You made me laugh LG with your post on digging up your Ancestors :-) Sorry to hear you have Hayfever though, thankfully I only get it when the grass is cut and OH does that while I keep out of the way. I'm not always that lucky though, if I'm working in the garden and someone else cuts their grass I end up suffering. I hope you feel better soon, have you taken something for it? Apart from the Hayfever I hope you are keeping well to. :-)
Loved the poem and video, they both made me laugh :-D :-D :-D
Pleased to see you now know how your cousin in Spain is Vera, pity they can't get home yet, hopefully it won't be to long though. At least you know she's okay which is the main thing and will stop you wondering now.
It sounds like your Great Granddaughter is getting on well with her home schooling AnnG, you must be very proud of her. I hope you have more luck soon with getting a shopping delivery slot. Sorry to hear your back is still playing you up, it does sound like it might be the soft chair, have you got a dinning chair you could sit on until it's better? Silly me, I read your post wrong and thought it was the windows not the blinds your OH was cleaning.
That's not good Ann not being able to have your meds delivered for so long. Maybe they'll have more people helping so it might not be as long as they say in the end.
Oh dear Frank not a good nights sleep then by the sounds of it, don't worry you're not on your own, OH was tossing and turning all night and woke me up about 8 times, it's no wonder I've got a headache now. I hope you sleep better tonight. I also hope my OH does as well, then I might have a good nights sleep to.
I've finally got around to boxing up the spare cushions. I had 10 big ones and needed some boxes to put them in, OH came home with a pile of boxes last week and thankfully they were big enough, so they're all packed up now ready for OH to put them in the loft later. At least they're not all over the top of three wardrobes now. I also had a bit of a sort out of my own things and boxed up a few bits and bobs. I still have more to do though, so that'll keep me busy when I'm not doing other things.
Going to take the pain killer now, the screen has made my headache worse. I'll try and get back on here later if I can.
Keep safe everyone <3
