I need two pairs of needles Mel, one pair 4 and half mm size 7 and the other is 5 and half mm size 5 I haven't seen the wool yet, but mum said it was a sky blue, quite pale. The other colours in Aldi weren't my type of colours. She couldn't get me the burgundy I wanted as they had sold out, I needed 500g of that. She's bought me 1000g's in 200g balls of wool in the pale blue, so hopefully it'll be enough for two jumpers.
I haven't watched Belgravia yet, I'll probably watch it later.
It's raining here now, quite heavy to and it's not that warm. It sounds like you have some lovely weather Mel.
Pleased to see you could get a delivery Jane, although that's not little to me, but then with OH out all day every day we don't need as much now. I do have lots of toilet rolls, so I'm alright there lol ;-) ;-)

Hi again, Yes I keep telling myself to slow down, and be more careful, it doesn't seem to be working.
The Lamb last night was horrible, full of sinew(sp) So that's gone in the bin. Tonight it will be Chicken KIEV with fried cold new potatoes, and sweetcorn and peas, followed by a Sticky Toffee Pudding and cream or custard.
I tried ordering flowers for Ros for Easter, yesterday afternoon, and ended up putting THREE LOTS in my Basket (What am I Like) I have contacted the company. and the young lady is going to sort it out for me. She will put it on an Email so all I will have to do is pay for them.
Ros is busy knitting baby cloths for Jammie's SON. For as long as I have know her, she always makes baby cloths (knitted) for Friends, and Family.
I see you mentioned Belgravia Mel, Lets just say it's on, but I rarely watch this kind of DRAMA. Ros like so many woman, love these serials.
Having been to the garage, I noted what a CHILL there is in that breeze. I was thinking of sitting out on the patio with my book, but I think the armchair will be more inviting.
Look at me, Two posting in the morning. !!!! Will try to get back later. I have to try to foresee what we will want in the way of shopping, so Harvey can get it ordered. A MAN'S WORK IN NEVER DONE. lol lol xxxx

Morning All,
It was dull earlier but the sun is breaking through now. Today at work we would be saying 'Happy New Tax year' lol. All our calculations were based on tax years! :-)
Vera that wasn't nice getting a nasty migraine. I hope you feel a lot better now and had a good night's sleep.
I was awake till 3.00am the night before last and with doing all I did yesterday I didn't feel well last night and so had an early night. I slept well and feel better today.
That was good Mel and I know you use gels for your shopping trips like me so are used to remembering to use them. I hope you have some sausage rolls and cakes left for today.
I see Lord Bath has died of the virus and that a tiger now has the virus and this has sparked questions as to whether cats are susceptible and could spread it.
Frank that was a nasty fall and must have shaken you up. You will be best to rest up for a while with your book.
The chemist saga continues! We were there for our 4th trip half an hour before the new opening time and OH was 5th in the queue. I couldn't believe that people walking past the well spaced pharmacy queue thought it was ok to walk closer to the queue than 2 metres. Anyway the upshot is that OH got his and my remainders of our prescriptions, but when he got back to the car where he usually checks them, mine was wrong and a repeat of something they'd already issued last week!!! The queue was huge again by then and I could have cried. We came back home and I decided to check the surgery had included the beta blockers when they sent the pharmacy prescription first. It took several phone calls to get through and they hadn't included it. They tried to say it wasn't due at first then suddenly realised it was actually a fortnight overdue now. I also changed pharmacy for us both to the village one where the pretty brook runs through. My prescription should be there tomorrow. The little pharmacy there are opening their usual times as well, as I checked with them. Maybe tomorrow?
We had pork chops and veg yesterday and for a change today we are having cheese omelettes with beans, mushrooms and I will slice and fry the few potatoes left over from yesterday for OH and no doubt he will have toast as well.

Oh dear Frank that is happening more and more. I have to admit to being puzzled as to why they do it. anyway, I think the last person who was caught was imprisoned.
Gill Boris Johnson's fiancee has had the virus and has recovered as far as I am aware.
Annx I think as I said on my l;ast post we are all feeling off colour more than we are used to, maybe because we have nothing else to think about or maybe we notice things because the first thought is 'is it the start of the virus'. I hope the new pharmacy are more efficient for you, although it seems it was the surgery at fault this time.
I just did half an hour in the garden that was quite productive, pruning back the penstemon ans tidying up one of my ferns that had a lot of dead bits needing pulling out. Had to dash in then because we had a shower and, really unusually for me, I had washing on the line. Now I know why I normally just rely on the drier. The strange thing with the penstemon is I know I had two, but I can't find the one that was in the pot. No doubt as they look scruffy over winter I bet my tidy minded OH has binned it!

On no Frank what an awful thing to happen in LIdl, I don't blame them for having him arrested. Pity about your lamb, I had one like that and decided to slow cook it in gravy the following day, it worked and was lovely and tender. I didn't think it would work so I was pleased it did.
I'm so sorry to hear about your meds Ann, I really hope it's sorted for you tomorrow, you can't keep going out all the time on wasted journeys. At least your OH got his meds okay, but I sympathise with you. Keep your chin up, I'm sure it'll all be sorted soon, not good that it's two weeks over due though. Pleased you had a better nights sleep last night and feel better for it today.
I'm still waiting for mum to turn up with the wool, it's been raining quite heavily on and off today so I'm sitting here in my coat incase it rains when she turns up, so I can go out quickly to collect the wool. I'll go to my side gate as I need to bring the bin in, so I can do both at the same time. Someone has put my bin near the gate, I think it might of been next door, so that was nice of him. I noticed he put it there last week to.

Afternoon all,
Brightened up a bit here now after a little rain this morning ,we dropped off a birthday card for DIL this morning she's forty today . The little ones came out and waved but stayed away from the car which we kept in and just passed the card through the top of the car window ,they have made lots of coloured rainbow pictures and have them in their window ,i crochet them a rainbow with pom poms hanging across the bottom to hang up too.
Oh Frank not another tumble that was lucky that some one was about to help you up ,i hope your not going to feel to sore and bruised . I read that some where about that person wiping their hands over things in Lidl ,what a filthy thing to do and then the poor staff having to move all the stuff off the shelves after ,i hope thy lock him up.
Oh no Ann so still no medication ,its a good job your not right out of it ,i hope all ours will be there when i go to get our meds from boots later in the week. Hopefully you'll have a better service with the village pharmacy ,they might not have all the queues the other one has .
Jane hope James first day working goes well ,has he taken a packed lunch up to his room LOL Can Hannah and Gareth still work ? Glad to hear Fitz's OH is feeling better ,finger crossed she hasn't passed it on to Fitz .
Vera hope your feeling better today and that the pills helped to ease your migraine.
So your getting the knitting needles out Gill ,and starting with a thicker wool you'll soon get it done ,it will be nice for you to have some thing you can just pick up and do a little as and when you want . I make sure i spray the handles of my bin and use gloves to bring it in you can't be to careful when you think of all the bins they touch .
AnnG that reminds me i have some lettuce seed i could plant i really ought to get some planted up, they should be all right in some big pots shouldn't they .
Mel i haven't watched any of Belgravia yet ,we've recorded them but haven'y got round to seeing them.
Oh suns out now so we're off out to the garden to get some jobs done .

What a horrible person to go around Lidl and spread his spit on all the stuff. They will have to wash all those now before they go back out again if they ever do. I hope he is locked up for a long time.
Oh is out scarifying the lawns and I am going to do the chickens now and then a bit of cutting down of the dead stuff around the patio outside the back door. The clematis has some nice new shoots on it so it should go up the strings quite quckly if the weather stays like this. Its beautiful out there today. Not much breeze and plenty of sunshine.

How disgusting Frank! I'd heard of some spitting and coughing at the Police, but not doing that. I wonder if he'd done it before, or elsewhere and unless they had him on camera since he walked in, what other shelves might he have done the same to?
I just hope I can get the medication tomorrow Mandy, so fingers crossed. Sod's law, I had an email this afternoon saying there was room on Lloyd's home delivery for me to apply now! It did say though that delivery is taking 10-14 days. I asked the surgery this morning if they could send 2 months tablets instead of one, but no they can't. So as the surgery say to allow 5 working days before picking up your prescription from the pharmacy and then home delivery takes 10 to 14 days, there's not much of the month left before you have to request the next lot! We are going to see what this other pharmacy is like next. I just hope they will carry enough stock so we don't always have to go back as it is a small building. Happy birthday to your DIL. I hated becoming 40, but now it seems young. lol. :-D
Anng I think I got quite stressed over the difficulty getting my medication too and I felt shaky and a bit dizzy. Of course then I start worrying I will have a panic attack which doesn't help, so I do the exercises I was taught just in case! I looked in the greenhouse today, but I think the only seedlings are not lettuce or rocket, but look like more weeds and grass up to now. :-S I suppose the fact that something is growing is a good sign though. Maybe tomorrow? The acer is in the pot now, but is smaller than I thought. Maybe it will look better once the leaves are covering it. I see you managed a stint in the garden till it rained and had to smile about your second Penstemon as that is exactly the sort of thing my OH would do and make it disappear.
Gill, the sky blue will be a lovely colour for a jumper. I hope you get sorted with some needles soon. I would have done the same as you with Frank's lamb, a long slow cook would tenderise it.
OH is having his second conference call meeting so I'm keeping out of the way. It's been going on for an hour and a half already.

Oh thats good i'll sow some lettuce tomorrow . I planted some tomato seeds last week and they are up about an inch . Yesterday i planted some Cucumber seeds and i have Lobelia and Petunias to sow too.
Mel i saw that Honor Blackman had died ,she was in the bond film and in the Avengers too wasn't she .
Ann when we put a prescription in it's three days at the doctors and then three days in boots so if it goes in on the Monday you can't pick it up from boots until at least the Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week .
Son and Chelsea made DIL a lovely cake all decorated with mini eggs and chocolate buttons ,but it only a few candles on LOL don't think they had forty candles :-D
Gill did you get the needles and wool from mum ?

We are usually lucky with our pharmacy. We are on the pathway which means there are several months prescriptions sent to their PC and we just go into the pharmacy, ask for the prescriptions and get them there and then. It has gone wrong when the pharmacy nurse at the surgery has messed it up but normally it works ok.

I have looked everywhere for some tomato seeds but cold only find one packet of plum toms marked Aug 2011 !!! I am sure I had a packet of Sun Gold which is my absolute favorite to eat like sweeties.
I have also found an old packet of Lambs Lettuce so am going to give those a go in pots and see if anything comes up. Some spinach too as I like that in a sandwich instead of lettuce. It all has to go in pots or the rabbits or deer eat it. I have some runners and short beans so they are going in too and some peas.

Morning all,
Bright and frosty here this morning. Suns burnt most of it off and its only where the sun don't reach now.
Its my delivery day today and it seems they have changed a few things one of them being my Plenty kitchen rolls which we use for hankies as they don't fall apart like kitchen roll and if they get in the washing machine stay together too.
I ordered a kettle and it was on offer all the way through from the last order and now it back up to its normal price. It was a mistake I thought I had ordered it last time but somehow a few items went on to this order the kettle being one of them.
Oh tells me Boris is in intensive care.
Hope you all had a better night last night and feel refreshed this morning.
How's the bruises Frank? Hope your feeling better this morning too.
Must order the scripts today or we shall be running out.

good morning all. The good news is that our son has got us a Tesco Slot on 27 April, 11am -12.three weeks away but that is not a problem. He is an absolute star.
Yes Mel, Boris went into Intensive care yesterday, I hope he will start to get better soon. He went there in case he needed Oxygen and so he would have one to one care. Poor man he should have rested when he first had the virus instead of carrying on working through it.
Lovely morning here, if it was frosty we missed it! :-D My job today will be to make up the order and remove a couple of bits son put on to start it off.

Morning all
Sunny here today, but it's not very warm inside so I've put the heating on, I'm freezing and can't seem to get warm.
Mum came round with the wool but it's super chunky wool in three large strands. I had problems with the Internet yesterday so couldn't get back on here, so I decided to split the wool, it took hours to do but now I have one ball done, if I can do another ball then I should have enough for one jumper or cardigan. The only problem is it's not the right wool for any of the patterns I've got, so I'll have to do a tension square then I might be able to change the size of needle, don't know if it'll work though.
One good thing that happened yesterday was the wool, instead of being £3.99 a ball, had been reduced to £1.99 a ball, so if it doesn't work I haven't lost to much money.
I still don't have the right needles for the patterns yet, OH asked a work mate and she said she'd take a look but they're not a common size, so I'm not holding out much hope of her having them. I'm hoping to see if I can find the right wool for a cardigan pattern I've got, it's mostly cable stitch and looks really nice.
I hope you managed to get hold of your meds today Ann. I'll keep my fingers crossed you get them.
Happy belated birthday to your DIL Mandy. How nice to see all the rainbow pictures in the window the children have done. That'll cheer anyone up if they walk by. Her cake sounds nice. OH came home with an cream egg Easter egg last night, his boss bought everyone one each as a thank you for all their hard work. He shared it with me last night.
Pleased to see you have a delivery slot now for your shopping AnnG, not to long to wait either.
Yes, Mel I heard Boris is now in intensive care, let's hope he recovers. He's only a year or so older than OH and I.
