I hope the wool is ok for your pattern Gill but what a job to have to undo the three strands. It must have taken you ages and ages.
Must order our scripts.

Afternoon Everyone,
At least with us having this spell of lovely sunshine we can spend time in our gardens. I had my porridge with blueberries and strawberries sitting outside and it was lovely in the sun and watching a peacock butterfly..
I just phoned the new chemist and they have my prescription so OH will pick it up after 3.00pm.That sounds like a great system you have AnnG. I'm going to check our on line prescriptions are all corrected now so that we can order on line instead of traipsing to the surgery to hand them in.
Yes, poor Boris, I do hope he improves soon. Now Michael Gove is self isolating too. I said to OH that one figure they haven't given us is what proportion in intensive care are actually recovering. The Italy prog I saw last week showed coffins being stored on ice rinks and people queing to register deaths,,,,,,very worrying.
That was nice to give the staff easter eggs Gill. We don't usually bother with them, but I decided to get 2 as a treat on my last grocery order. We have been good up to now and haven't eaten them yet! :-D I could just fancy a slice of that cake that Chelsea and her dad made though! Yum yum.
It's a pity you can't order things on line Gill as you could have got needles and wool. I know the wool you have as I have a ball I bought to do the peg weaving, but then didn't use it. That was a good idea, but a lot of effort, to split it down and a swatch will give some idea what size needles will be right. If you want to see free patterns, look on the All Free Knitting site as they have some nice ones. The cabled jumper sounds very nice though.
Mandy I am hoping I ordered some cucumber seeds and courgette. You seem to do well with your cucumbers. Now we have a pile of soil where the raised beds were I thought I could plant a courgette there and let it scramble as the soil won't be moved anywhere this year!
Still no sign of my Lettuce AnnG so I am going to plant the new seed now. Mel and Mandy are doing best with theirs. Mel I must look in my gardening clothes basket in the conservatory as I might have some old seeds in the bottom. I'd not thought of having spinach on sandwiches instead of lettuce, I must try it.

Afternoon all.
Lovely day here i've striped the bed and got that all dry and planted Lettuce seed took some of my wall pots off the trellis on the wall so Colin could paint it ,had a clear out in one of the drawers in the shed that i keep the seeds and bits and bobs in so i'm pleased with my morning .
Frank hope not not to sore this morning and you managed to get a good nights sleep.
Mel ,now you just have to put all that shopping away ,thats the bit i'm not so keen on finding a home for it all .
Gill you've had a job doing the wool ,do you think that splitting the wool has left you with a double knit wool now ,i just hope you haven't weakened the wool so when you knit with it it doesn't pull apart ,i'd knit with a little bit of it to see how it knits up before you pull any more apart .
I saw this on facebook and thought it was quite funny .
Just be careful because people are going crazy from being in isolation! Actually, I've just been talking about this with the microwave and toaster while drinking coffee and all of us agreed that things are getting bad. I didn't mention anything to the washing machine as she puts a different spin on everything. Certainly not to the fridge as he is acting cold and distant. In the end the iron calmed me down as she said everything will be fine, no situation is too pressing. The vacuum was very unsympathetic... told me to just suck it up, but the fan was more optimistic and hoped it would all soon blow over! The toilet looked a bit flushed when I asked its opinion and didn’t say anything, but the door knob told me to get a grip.?? The front door said I was unhinged and so the curtains told me to ........yes, you guessed it......pull myself together. :-D :-D

That's very clever Mandy! :-D You have been busy, but it's a good feeling to get ahead with some jobs. We need to paint the new trellis on the top of our bottom fence. I think it will have to be whatever colour we have tins of this time!

Good afternoon all,
I am well bruised on my back. Ros said I have some lovely colours. lol lol
I hope you all enjoyed "PASS THE SALT" and my Easter Card.
Ros has had a Email saying that Northampton Hospital are in need of Laundry bags, so she is busy cutting them out and machining them up. So far she has made 10 and still at it. We have a contact for one of the members of "STITCHERY DO" who is arranging to collect and will deliver to the hospital. I assume they are for patients, who haven't got one.
Barry has been and cut both lawns and put a few screws in the back gate, where the panel is coming apart.
"Biggles" Mum bought him round so say HALO this morning. She stood at the top of the drive talking to Ros. Carolyn also tapped on the window, for Ros to have a chat, they are keeping safe and isolated. John has been out for long walks, but has to stop every so often to get his breath.
We are having BANGERS and Mash tonight. With Cabbage and pea and carrots. I have made a Bread and Butter pudding, which I have just taken out of the oven. It's a nice light brown and smells delicious, NO you can't have any. lol lol
See you later, as Ros needs to use the table.

Frank I think those bags are for the nurses to put their uniforms in ,they take the uniform off at the hospital put it in the bag so when they get home the bag with the uniform can go straight in the washing machine without them handling uniforms at home .

Ha ha Mandy like it. I had a name for my kettle once......I called it Peeps because it kept making that noise. Don't have a kettle like that anymore.
What made me cross with my asda order was that I ordered a new kettle which was on offer for £9 instead of £12. Now if it had come last week or the week before with my other order it would have been the offer price but it came this week and was the £12. I have had three of these kettles now and the one I bought in Morrisons not long ago took aaagggeeesss to boil and made a lot of noise whilst doing it.

I got caught like that too Mel as I ordered a wool felting book for OH to get for my birthday. A few days later I got an email to say it was £2 cheaper! :-S Our last kettle we bought is noisy compared with previous ones too, which reminds me I must descale it. I suppose you don't have that job to do with your nice Devon water.
<3 <3 YIPPEE I got my tablets or rather OH went in to get them while I waited in his car!! Some people still don't understand what social distancing means or how to do it though as a lady waiting for her husband outside was leaning against the shop door frame. How could customers go in and out and still keep 2 metres apart from her? It made a change to see no queue and OH said they seem very efficient, so it looks like we will stay with them now. It is also a post office so handy for dropping parcels off too .
Frank OH would be round like a shot for some bread and butter pudding! It's his favourite I think .I 'm getting some dried fruit with our next grocery order so I can use up any stale bread to make him one......no wasting food now. I like it best made with marmalade spread on the bread which he hates! He can't be doing with these chocolate versions when we are(were) out either.. Well done Ros for making the laundry bags!
Going to watch the update now.

Ros does do some very good jobs for people dos'nt she. She is always making something. She likes to keep busy.
Good you got your scripts at last Ann. Seems like the new chemist will be better than the last one.
The kettle I get is from Asda and its a fast boil one. The last one took ages to boil and also made a lot of noise and had a button to press on the top to open the lid but I was finding it hard to press it down and open the lid to refill it. I have had other ones too but a lot of them have a horrid plastic smell that makes my mouth sting.
I have been out in the shed repotting a few plants. I took some Heucheras (SP) out of a pot because they had vine wevils in them and only potted up three bits and left the rest in water out in the garden and they survived the winter!!!!! so I thought it only fair to give them some nice new compost so now I have two more big pots of them. I hope they grow now as they had nice new roots.
Roast chicken for dinner with tenderstream brocc and carrots and new pots. May make it a lemon chicken.

Frank i don't know if Ros has seen this ,people have been making extra wide Jersey (so they have a bit of stretch )head bands with a button on each side so when the nurses wear the masks they clip the elastic from the mask onto the button of the head band ,it stops the elastic from the masks making their ears sore .
Oh glad you got your tablets Ann ,hope i can get all ours tomorrow ,i ticked the Statin i'm on but don't know if i'll get that as i'm only half way through the month of having it but if i can't get it it will mean i have to now put the prescription in again as it will take that long to get it .
I like bread and butter pud made with hot cross buns .

Heucheras are nice and colourful aren't they Mel. I ought to split some of my hostas that are in 2 pots and might have a go with one first as they are so tightly packed. I had a bit of a poke around in the lidded basket. I can't get near to it for stuff piled round it now, but have already found some Madame Butterfly double Snapdragons so will plant those tomorrow. They are 3 years old but some might grow. I also found some old trainers near the top that are a bit tight so they can go in the bin as I don't do laces anymore. I could also see some gardening gloves (new) and a floppy garden hat so I will clear a space tomorrow and clear it out properly.
I hope you can get your statins Mandy. You'd hope doctors would be a bit flexible with the current situation, but I suppose they have to follow guidelines. I bet your trellis looks smart now!

He seems to be getting on fine with the new job even if a little stressed at times. Some of the work is completely new to him. It looks like it is going to be another nice day.I think I will go for a bit of a walk down the lane later I might get away with wearing short sleeves :-D I rang a local butcher the day before yesterday to see if they would deliver orders.I explained that I was having Chemo and that no one in the house was going to shops. They were happy to deliver so in went my order and I have now got a lovely selection of really good meat all locally sourced too.Just one thing was missing and that was a family size Chicken and. tarragon pie so I shall have to ring up in a minute and let them know. Morning Bishop and all,
Grey skies here this morning but its not too dull. Not as lovely as yesterday. Weather thingy is reading 15.52 out and 16. 74 in.
Nothing planned for today, may have a little walk around the garden and find some bits to do out there and may try some of my old seeds.
Good to here from the Bishop this morning and I hope James gets on ok with his new job and learns the new bits quickly. I am sure he will.
Good you got a nice lot of meat then Jane and flour too. None of the flour I ordered came with my shopping.

Morning All,
It is lovely sunshine here today and much warmer so I am in my knee length jeans and usual tee shirt. I went in the greenhouse and planted the snapdragons but there were only a few. I was just about to plant the fresh lettuce seeds as there is no sign of the old ones coming up and a great queen wasp flew in and wouldn't fly out again and disappeared into the metal framework. With my aversion to wasps now I have left the lettuce seeds till later on!
Sounds like you got plenty of meat and nice local stuff too Jane. We usually buy local produce, but I bought with my supermarket order last time. I've noticed our farm shop is delivering boxes of veg now, so I might order one of those as we get through a lot although there is frozen veg to fall back on. I expect James will soon learn the things he doesn't know and get into the new work routine. When I joined the Civil Service and had lots to learn, I stupidly thought once I knew what I was doing I could relax a bit, but no, every year there would be more training courses with every change the government brought in!! Did you see that vets are suggesting cats be kept inside!
Better get lunch going now, nice and easy, some of the frozen leftover turkey with the veg that need using up, onion and rice! I think we will eat outside which will be nice too now OH has the table and chairs in place. :-)

good afternoon, we seemed today to have breakfast at coffee time and coffee at nearly lunch time, so lunch will be mid afternoon and dinner at midnight at this rate :-D
A bright day with light clouds fairly warm out 17 degrees but not warm enough for me to go into tee shirts. I like warm arms so have three quarter sleeve top on. Had my coffee in the garden and OH has been in his greenhouse. He had a large tray of very small geranium plugs delivered yesterday so he is now planting them into bigger compartmentalised trays. They are just ordinary bedding geraniums.
I have just got slamon out of the freezer for tonight. I have some fish sticks (used to be called crab sticks, so I will make a salmon and fish stick pasta (using white lasagne sauce.
Jane sounds like you have found a gem to deliver the meat to you. I suspect the butchers doing this are hoping to win a few regular cutomers from the supermarkets after we eventually return to normal (goodness knows when that will be.) I am sure that after a couple of weeks James will be accutomed to the way things work in his new job. It is difficult starting when working from home as he has no immediate support. I imagine the thing for him to do is not get uptight about it but patiently work through it. His new bosses will not to be expecting him to 'hit the floor running', in a new job and strange situation. They must have had faith that he can do the job. Loved the 'Bishop' address, wonder where that came from?
Mel, did you get a potter out in the garden. Have you not done any craft lately or is that my imagination.
Annx I wouldn't share the greenhouse with a wasp either. Hate the things.

Good morning BISHOP and All,
Everything is O.K. Here, Ros is still sewing away at these SCRUB BAGS. Over TWENTY NOW.
I am all showered and shaved. Done the veg for dinner tonight, LAMB SHANKS in a Rosemary gravy . So hope they will taste s good as they look.
Nice warm weather out today, doors open on Patio. I have been reading in my armchair, but think I might venture outside, with my book and a coffee.
Harvey has a slot for us for Monday, for a delivery. But as we need some things, he is getting those delivered in his order tomorrow. He will pop them up to us of Friday/Saturday As a little THANK YOU to him I have bought him 8 blocks of COCONUT ICE. Which he loves, but not many shops stock it. It arrived this morning.
Stay safe everyone. xxxx
