Caen you are lucky to be going there. I feel sure your weather will be fine it appears not to be too bad abroad but it is not so bad here either at the moment I must have caught something off you ladies as I have been busy this morning I cleared my cookery cupboard I had two long shelves full of cake tins and cookery stuff amd cake decorating things so I have sorted a lot of it out to give to my Granddaughter Stacey as she has now got the Cookery bug. she can sit down at the counter and do her mixing Two big bags full as well as three Cake making and decorating books . Then I found some things I forgot I had so have put them in my kitchen cupboard. next came my small cupboard where I keep all my materials and sewing items and found four packets of cross stitch not touch so she will have them as well. I feel tired now after all that lifting and sorting. and I want to make a cottage pie for my dinner today so I suppose I better get a move on.
Have a nice holiday Linda will miss you. give my love to Caen

Here I am again this months Family Tree Magazine carries an article on the Boer War. it is by someone who found a diary of her great Uncle and tells all about his time spent out there it tells you how the British changed tactics and conducted a guerrilla warfare against the traditional fighting it has opened my eyes to what went on there as My Grandfather served in the 7th Dragoon Guards out there he must have been a very Brave man I feel very proud of him after reading what it was like out there.there is a website Anglo Boer War. www.angloboerwar.com for anyone of you who had someone serve out there during that time.

All on my own this afternoon, OH has taken his dad shopping and son has gone out on his bike, just me and the dog.

I haven't found any rellies in the Boar war Rita, found a great uncle who died in WW1 and my mum's dad was in the TA up to 1913 but can't find any thing of him in WW1, my dad's dad was too young for WW1

Hello Mo, we posted at the same time

Hi Mo Hi Yvonne and Rita if she's still here

Well just finished the ironing. Hubby has come in so agin it's time for tea eh? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? [_]
Not sure who's around.

On to the burials now of the Edlin family, then I will check the marriages.

FIL will come Thurs as hubby will pick him up en route after he finishes work. Friday at home. Early early start on Sat as we leave Portsmouth at 7:30 in the morning. We will leave home before 5:00. That will be hard getting him up and if he has to take his pills before we leave he will need breakfast too.Away for a week. Take him back to his flat either Sunday or Monday.
Oh well not sure how much longer we can do it as he will be 86 while we are away and is slowing up now. Uncle was 89 in March and he can no longer come, doesn't often leave home.

Still we enjoyed taking them over about 8 times and previously they had never been back after they landed on D Day in 1944.

Be back later

No Ladies I am still about keep running about doing little jobs and then having a rest inbetween. I did some hand washing this morning and put it on the outside line so I have been running back anf forward seeing if it is dry. once I forgot it was out there and it got soaking wet so I dont want that happening again. it is all in now. so I am going to sit with my legs up on a poofy and have an ice cream.
I typed out a list of jobs I need to do before Chrstmas and pinned it too the notice board so I can cross them off as they get done. I have already crossed off two and there are 20 listed.

I am glad you are all working on your trees with finding all these ancestors I wonder if Lady has come up with another of her relations with such large families.

see you again later unless I fall a sleep.
