Pauline
I have just read your Bus stop drama what a terrible thing to have happened I wish I had been there at the time I would have hit the bugger hard and shown him some manors, I have a son in law who has been a bus driver for years although he was trained as an engineer and worked for his father in his factory but when his father died he could not bare to go into the factory so changed job and became a bus driver he was always helping people and met with a lot of kindness people giving him sweets and fruit I got onto his bus sometimes and I heard the banter that went on when people got on and off the bus and knew he was well liked . he retires next year. but I think he cannot wait now as he has had enough of the rude people that get on and off his bus he has been called names and swore at because the bus is late due to traffic hold ups and even had a knife pulled on him.
so times have changed now I think it is only now and again we get a bad penny like I did this week and Pauline did all those years ago,

Thanks for the coffee Shelly but it's a bit cold now, so I'll make another one.

{**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? {**}? [_]

I've been really careful with the new posh china cups, didn't break any of them.

Mo, best put the bleach on your hair now, so it can be washed a few times before I put the gold on it.

I've never had my make-up done by a professional before, so I'm looking forward to Marilyn doing it.

I'm off to the market later this morning, so if any of you want a dress making - pick your colour and put your order in now.

Glad to know you missed me MO all these women full of the joys of the day washing and ironing make me feel tired just thinking about it all.
I woke feeling stiff I think coming off my injection drug is having a reaction but for the good I hope. I got my letter in and it says my Warfarin is now reading 3.50 last week it was 1.60 so I dont know whether that is good or bad. ? it has never been that high before has anyone on here who know someone taking warfarin know if this is better than the lower reading or bad.

Joys of life.

Ladies I hate to spoil the illusion............... but I am not at all thin I have struggled with my weight all my adult years. I was found to have an under active thyroid about 20 years ago after tests 10 years before that. I dreamt of a miracle cure in the form of the tablets i had to take for life................ but oh no. I am still gaining weight (at least a stone a year) and cannot loose it at all. I eat healthily and small portions, my dinner is on a plate little bigger than most people tea plates.
I am only 5ft 2ins tall and yesterday the jacket that fitted me in M&S was size 22.

So no I am not skinny. Just pleasantly plump.

I enjoyed the coffee morning which only had a few ladies. And have since hung out a wash which is pretty much dried and now I only have the ironing to do.

Enjoy your evening folks Catch you all later.

Linda your not the only one fighting to keep weight off I am 5 ft 8 inches and have a size 20 clothes I too have under Active thyroids have had them for 20 years have to have 100 mil a day I eat healthy as well although since i have been on warfarin I am aloud only three greens veg a week a small amount at that. and I love my veggie.

Mo you could be right about the angle I sleep I make room for Edward as he is very big. he he my Teddy dressed in his scottish kit.. but I felt the pains and stiffness in my knuckles and feet and tops of my legs I think it might be my PMR (Polymalgia Rheumatica ) which I take steriods for.
I am falling to bits ,

Yes I hope Marilyn has something good for dinner no greens though Marilyn I have had my quota for this week. I would love a chicken burger and chips.
Sue good Luck tomorrow enjoy yourself.

Hi Rita
I am on 175 mcgm a day and that was after the hospital was supposed to be helping me to drop my weight and they lowered the Thyroxine !!! Too much and I had to increase it higher than ever . Been on this dose for 18 mths now.

Did everyone get the e-mail from Shelly? Thinks she forgot to pay her subs and is locked out of GR !!

What is she like...................... we're each others lifeline on here

Linda :o) XxX

Rita Report 25 Sep 2009 19:52

That is awful higher a dosage to have to take Linda I started on 150 but am now on 100 have been for the past 10 years.
I have not got an email fropm Shelly I expect she forgot as she has had a lot of worry with her daughter and the baby poor thing.

Yes Mo it is very painful they found i had it about 5 years ago I suffer from Osteoarrthrites and I thought it was that playing me up but had to have the doctor call as I could not walk and lift my arms was so painful i was in tears he took a blood sample and three days after he phoned and aske me to go straight to his surgery he put me on Steriods two in the morning two midday and two in the evening I am on 5 now in the mornings.

you spoke of your daughters trouble my granddaughter the one who had triplets and lost two last year has the same trouble as your daughter she spent a whole years in Hillingdon Hospital and many months in and out of Hillingdon and Harefield she has a house that has a stair lift and a walk in shower and all the plugs are moved for her to get to them.she uses a wheel chair most of of the time but trys to walk about with her crutches but if she goes far she has to use her wheelchair I have lost count of the operations she has had. they want to do another but found her blood wwas so low she is having a transfusion next week spending the day in the hospital.she is 34 poor Stacey she is so brave.
