Morning AnnG morning all,
Very frosty here this morning and when we got up it was thick fog but that's cleared a bit now .
No Ann I haven't heard about the white tailed Eagles coming to Norfolk ,goodness you wouldn't miss those if they flew over would you with a wing span that size . We do have a lot of the Canada geese go over some times you can hear them coming from a mile off they are so loud , I wonder were they will have them I'll have to keep an eye on the local news to see if they say any thing about them .
AnnG it's lovely to see the little ones playing in the snow ,we don't have the snow like we use to so when we do have a little they have to make the most of it . Last week when we had a little I noticed the sledges soon came out ,one family went into the churchyard as the path to the church has a nice slope they had a fine old time

Morning All,
A hard frost here, but no more snow, just the crisped up remnants left from yesterday.
How lovely to see Georgie and her mum out bright and early to make a snowman Anng. I bet she couldn't wait!
Yes Mandy you remember yourself as a child how exciting it was when it snowed! The churchyard path sounds ideal for the little one's sledges.
Not sure whether to risk the cauli cheese in the fridge, but I froze one so will look if that has a date as they are possibly a similar date.
Better get showered now.

Morning all you lot,
We have snow not much left now but oh woke me early this morning to have a look and everything was white. The suns been out so its melted a lot of it.
How lovely to see the little ones out in the snow. Yes the sledges soon come out. I had a swiss sled when I was young which was passed to my son and then it came down here with me and I then gave it to the boys next door. Their grandad owns the field opposit their house and the boys take the sled over there. Not enough today though I don't think. You can get two on the sled. In fact when son was young I had three children on the sled with me standing on the back of the slides cming down the hill where we lived. It was his two friends Mile and Marina from up the road. Hubby was a lorry driver and up the country so us 4 kids had a great tiem on the sled.

Morning all
A very heavy frost here and the temperature is -1 but no snow yet. It is forecast for this afternoon so I’m hoping the forecast is wrong. If it does snow I don’t think anyone will be building snowmen in our Close. Our youngest residents are in their late 60s. Mind you, my OH might be out there as I’m sure he’s reached his second childhood, if he ever left his first lol.
I hope your delivery turns up OK AnnG.
I did read something about the White Tailed Eagles recently. I think one of the ones that was introduced to the Isle of Wight found its way to Norfolk and has been living there for a few months. The move to reintroduce them is being led by the Ken Hill Estate which I think is some sort of nature conservancy place near King’s Lynn. If you’re interested Mandy have a look at their website where there is a bit about it. It’s www.wildkenhill.co.uk.
I haven’t any plans for today. I’ve got some ready cooked beef brisket for dinner. I’ve always bought a piece of brisket and slow cooked it myself but I saw this on offer in Tesco’s Ready Meals section so thought I’d give it a go. I’m also going to see if I can find an old recipe for a dessert I used to make when the kids still lived at home. It’s basically layers of rice and apple but I’d like to find the recipe. I just fancy it today :-)

Good morning my little snow flakes. lol lol.
Woke this morning to snow, and it has continued all morning. I have had to clear a path to the dustbin and food caddy. We must have over an inch at the moment.
I've done all the veg, and made the Yorkshire batter and gravy. Roast beef today.
Nothing planned for today thank goodness. I was hoping Harvey would come up to fit the new shower glass doors, but with this weather, I can't see it happening.
Just spoke to SALLY. The household is now in lockdown, but she is able to work from home, so that is good for her. She says the SIMON is "MILKING" the Corona Virus, and trying to get the sympathy vote. (TRUST HIM) She says that Simon caught a cold two weeks ago and got a positive test for Corona yesterday. Nathan her brother who is also a Paramedic, is in lockdown also.
Well folks, take care of yourselves, I will be back sometime later. xxxx

We,ve had more sleet and rain and the suns been out too. Lots of the snow has melted now and it keeps coming over all dark and then the sun shines again. Weird or what?
O spoke too soon now we have hail and lots of it.

Since I came on here we have had lots of snow, some with those big flakes! It's stopped again now, but our footprints to the garage are completely hidden by it.
Frank, they said this morning that with the reduced lockdown traffic on the motorways and A roads won't clear very quickly so it's best that Harvey stays put. There will be another day.
I am feeling less stiff now and managed to hoover the bedroom, en-suite and hallway before I had a shower so that was a start on some HW. :-S
The White Tailed Eagles were introduced in Scotland too. Farmers were worried at first, I expect about lambs, but it seems the Eagles must prefer rabbits and goslings!
I hope you found your recipe Vera. I often can't find mine as they need a sort out! Another job for thelockdown 'to do' list. Our close has mostly retired people, but there are 2 girls at one of the bungalows we think is rented out at the moment. I don't know what the situation is, but we have only seen a man there otherwise.

The ear warmers are really pretty Mandy. Any little girl would love them. I know my granddaughters would have loved them when they were younger.
Ann, your painting of the canal is as good as ever and I love the sky. How on earth do you manage to get all the colours in the sky and clouds to merge and look so natural? You are so talented.
We haven’t had the promised snow yet but we’ve had sleet and hail and now it’s raining :-(

Our snow has partly melted still just 1 degree here now if it freezes tonight our road will be lethal so pleased I won't go out.
Unfortunately I have a birthday card to post but I daren't walk out if it is slippery.
Tesco arrived at 215 so not too bad. I have a little spatchcock chicken for tonight so I will see what I think of that, I was bewailing not having roast chicken and daughter said that is what she used to do after Jon died and she was on her own. with it I have roast pots and carrots, cauliflower and broccoli. Might make a white sauce for the cauli.

I had not had spatchcock before. It was very nice and I did only have half. I imagine a big eater would eat a whole one. It was moist and had a nice flavour but was a bit fiddly. Only took 40 minutes to cook.

Thank you for the message Elisabeth. I wish the same for you and your family.
Well, we never got any snow. At the moment there is a heavy frost but bright sunshine and bitter cold, -1.
I’m going to change the bedding and do a load of washing but nothing else is planned for today. I hope you all have a good day whatever you are doing. Might bbl

Good morning Elizabeth and Vera. Thank you Elizabeth and I hope you will have a peaceful week.
We have a hard frost here and it is still-2 degrees. Our bin day is tomorrow but there is a notice to say that bins in our area will not be collected today (the area has different days, split in the middle. Apparently it is too icy for the bin lorries to come out. I suppose the country roads and some side roads (including ours) will be icy with left over frozen snow. But traffic is whizzing past on the main roads.
Like Vera, nothing planned (what's new?) No doubt something somewhere needs cleaning. I can tell you though it won't be gardening. :-D
