Morning all,

We have the same weather here ,windy and showers but it's no where near as cold as it was.
I kept waking up several times through the night I think it was the wind that woke me it was quite rough at times .

I might make a cake today ,don't know what I'll see later ,I bought another one of those pizza dough bases so I think that's what we will have tonight .

AnnG hope the oranges box arrives at the hospital ok today does he know they are coming .

Mandy, we haven't told him but daughter told the ward sister so she may have said something. Not sure, if he doesn't phone to say, how we will know if they have arrived.

The wind is very gusty here, I keep looking out to see that everything is still standing, although I am not sure what I will do if it isn't.

As I stood and put the first fat ball in the feeder a long tailed tit came and perched on the top of the hanging thing and watched me put the next ball in and then flew away. It was so close about a foot and a half away from my face.

How lovely Mel, little cutie.

Well we know the oranges reached the hospital as daughter has had notice that they were delivered. Just have to wait and see if he phones and says anything or if he is just too confused as to where they came from.

Evening All,

Miserable, wet and windy here but I slept well and was up at 8.00am to get ready to paint! No trouble this time and 10 in the class. The teacher was saying about floods as she is 2 miles south of York. We have flooded fields here now a quarter of a mile away and it's going to get worse.with the forecast.

Your mind can't settle just now AnnG so not surprising you had a bad night. When I have them now I think 'Thank goodness I'm retired and don't have to be at my desk by 7.15am like I used to be!' That's great the oranges have reached the hospital and hopefully have reached T by now.

Well we got the scrips this afternoon on our rare trip out and put a bit of charge in my car battery this time. The tyre low pressure light came on and I haven't checked them for ages so that is a job for a warmer day than today. It's almost unbelievable , but I have only put fuel in my car twice since last March. I thought about what Mandy said and noticed 5 people walking dogs while OH went in the chemist. I think some dogs are getting more exercise than before the pandemic.

I decided to unwrap and try the shooting stick this afternoon in the study. Well it was still a little high so I leaned it forwards slightly to angle it to sit on. BIG MISTAKE!! Despite having the rubber foot, it slid backwards and my poor old knees concertinered me to the ground, bending as they haven't done for years with accompanying pain and strange sounds. I wondered what I had done and the wallop brought OH scurrying through to give me a lecture on the obvious! 'Be more careful, you don't want to be going into hospital just now' etc. After 5 mins on the floor I managed to turn over and walk my hands back to my feet and stand up. As I didn't twist at all when i fell my knees are just more achey now, but my back hurts and I have twisted my thumb! I've told hubby it could be being wrapped up to return it tomorrow!

This morning's class went smoothly, but there is lot's to do to finish and she wants us to do another painting as well, so these courses look like keeping me busy.

O Ann that could have been so nasty. Is'nt there a chair seat walking stick that folds up.

Put this in the search box.

Cane Seat - Walking Cane With Folding Seat

It has thre feet and folds flat.

AnninGlos Report 20 Jan 2021 22:16

Oh that was nasty Ann, hopefully you won’t have bruises come out tomorrow. Shame it was no good for you though.

That course does seem to be working you hard. Try not to overdo it, it is supposed to be enjoyable. Did you have to pay for this one.

I made two cards today, one was a easel one which takes a bit more time.

No phone call so assume he was sleeping. Hopefully he got the oranges.

Don't understand the easel card. Does it sit on an easel that you have to make?

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 21 Jan 2021 06:47

No Mel, the 'easel' is part of the card. I will try and send a photo

Good morning all. Pale blue sky here, quite bright with a few clouds and 4 degrees.
And so starts another exciting day.
I have done about 4 cms of the ribbing for the hat, only managing three or four rows an afternoon/evening as it does make my arm ache but I will get there, once I have finished the 11 inches of rib and can change to larger needles.

I ought to clean out my fridge this morning, hopefully I will but it is not a thought that excites me. Wonder what is lurking at the back of it!??

Morning all,

Oh my goodness Ann I hope your not bruised and sore this morning, you could have really done some damage to yourself going down like that .
Those shooting sticks are really meant for going into the ground if it's one that has a point on the end ,if think you'd be better with the tripod sort they would be more stable, I hope you can find a better one .

My goodness the wind in the night it woke me up several times, this morning started off nice and sunny now it's clouded over and looks more like rain ,the clouds are wizzing alone with the wind .

I have put more masks out ,I only put them out when it's a dry day ,they are still going well .

Mel I made an Apple Cake in the end .

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 21 Jan 2021 10:48

Morning Anng Mandy and all,

Its brighter here this mroning and dry at the moment but there are grey clouds up there too.

O an apple cake that sounds nice Mandy is there much left?

I hope Ann can move this morning and is'nt too sore. She certainly went down with a bang I hope the knees are ok this morning.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 21 Jan 2021 11:24

I think we will just have to chat among ourselves again as I am sure Ann has another zoom class today. Landscapes maybe.

I have spent half an hour battling the remainder of the rambler just a few higher ones left they might have to stay there.

I have also cleaned the fridge and found three or four jars of stuff gone off. Anyway it is all done now. And still only 11.20 so going to have to find something else to pass the time. I don’t like watching daytime TV until about 4pm then I might watch tipping point. Sometimes I might watch A Place in the country or Location location if I know the places they are looking at.

I will send the easel photos in a minute when I have finished my coffee.

Was at the hospital yesterday morning. DROPS AND PHOTO'S couldn't see properly until 9.00 pm last night. All good this morning.

Lots of cloud with outbreaks of sunshine.

Ros had a delivery of Michael Jacksons potting compost from QVC yesterday. We have managed to man handle TWO BAGS down to the greenhouse. NO MEAN FEAT at our age.

Trust you are all well. xxxx
