The suns come out here now and we have blue sky and big white fluffy clouds. Winds dropped a lot too from yesterday.
Its good you had a better nights sleep Frank so you will feel more refreshed today.
The only thing I have done this morning is feed the girls and do some washing.

Afternoon all ,
We have lovely sun shine and it's really warm out there in the sun ,i think we might have some rain later .
I like your little Fan and the fairy bed Mel are these for a sale before Christmas because you could make the beds for the naughty Elf's :-D i noticed the other day there's all sorts you can buy for the Elf .
Gill that's good your head ache is better but be careful you don't strain your eyes again doing the tree ,the trouble is once you find some thing you want to see what else you can find and so it goes on :-)
That was a nice sum raised for the church last night Frank ,so annoying when you can see where you need to be but just carn't find out how to get to it .
Sounds as if you've solved the mystery of the noise then Ann finding the peel it does sound like it might have been a squirrel ,your path down the side must be on the walnut run for him :-D OH is filling the Garage up i see ,i wonder what else the chaps brother has found for him ,i hope the mice don't get to the programmes ,are they in plastic tubs ? Did you remember your tablets today ?
I've had a good sweep up out side this morning there were lots of rose petals and dried up leaves off the runners ,i think we might get a few more meals off the runners ,i also cut DIL three cucumbers and found one that i missed some how that had gone yellow !!! it was hidden a bit behind the leaves . She also took a few tomatoes home too . The light bulb had gone in the fridge so son managed to get the little cover off but couldn't get the bulb out with his big fingers so DIL got down on her knees and managed to unscrew it why they have to put the light in such an awkward place to get too i don't know .

Mandy I don't know what size the naughty elf is. You've done well with your cues this year Mandy. Its nice if you have someone you can give them to. Glad you liked the things I made.
Iv'e got a bean husk stuck on the back of my tongue and its so annoying. I shall have to have another drink I think tose if I can shift it.

Afternoon All,
Dismal and raining here, such a change from yesterday! I hope it hasn't reached Vera and that she is still dry in Jersey.
Those are lovely that you have made Mel. You have so much patience with sewing and choose just the right things that go together which isn't always easy.
I hope you have a nice trip to the garden centre AnnG. I discovered a nice small leaved, lime green sedum I hadn't seen before at a garden centre near here yesterday and brought one home with me.
Good you got a nice sleep last night Frank. It makes you feel so much better. Dinner sounds nice with my favourite lamb! I see you are ahead of yourself with it all prepared as well! It took us a while to find one of the village churches recently as it had an obscure little path to it that was easy to miss so I'm not surprised to hear Ros had trouble finding one. They did well with the money raised though.
Gill would turning the brightness down on the PC help? Otherwise you could try sunglasses. :-D :-D
Mandy, the first thing I thought about was the mice! Most of the better stuff was already in plastic boxes, but OH went out and bought more to put things in. It was a bit of a wake up call when he went round yesterday and saw the stuff in his bedroom. He said it was crammed in everywhere and had caused mould all over the walls. He said nowhere could be cleaned properly. With seeing what his mum and dad hoarded as well, it's made him even more determined to keep clearing what we don't want or use ourselves now. He's already got people who want the club records for the museum which will mean they are preserved and would have pleased his friend and for the shirts, so that's a start. :-) Yes, I remembered my tablets this morning!
Better do my own bit now and go through more paperwork!! lol.

We did get rained on at the garden centre but most of what we wanted was under some sort of cover. We had coffee and shared a scone then managed to spend another £50. There was one Christmas present amongs that lot and a small figure to go with my Christmas cottages. I wouldn't have paid the full price (£12.99) But half price was OK. We bought two more trays of violas, some cyclamen that OH likes to put in a bowl display in the conservatory and a pinl Japanese anenome called Pocohontis which will go near the existing white one. The white one gives a good display this time of year. Then a miniature cypress tree and a heather for a pot together with some Tete s Tete daffodils and a pale pink double tulip. That Sedum sounds unusual Ann.
Pleased you had a good nights sleep Frank. My favourite is lamb as well but it is very expensive at the moment so we have chicken, a large one it will last us three days.
It is 18 degrees outside so not cold but a bit damp underfoot. OH has spent the afternoon dead heading and tidying his Dahlias. That was after watching the rugby he had recorded.

I'm being very careful with the computer screen now and have regular breaks. Poor OH is feeling under the weather now so what ever bug I've got seems to have passed onto him. I really hope Sandra doesn't catch it. I slept quite a lot for a few afternoons and OH seems to be doing the same. They do say sleep is the best medicine. I'm getting over it now, just a slight sore throat so hopefully I'll be okay in a day or two so will be able to look after OH until he's over it.
I love your craft make Mel. The material your used for the fold down on the blanket is the material I love with the blue background and pink roses. Can I ask where you got it from as I can't find it anywhere and I'd love to make a few small cushions for my bed? Everything you make is so well made, you are very clever.
The sun is trying it's best to come out here but after all the rain we've had today there's nothing we can do in the garden, so I'm catching up with a few programmes I've recorded until the highlights of the F1 race start later. I don't subscribe to the sports channels so have to watch the re-run. OH and I avoid the news all day so we don't see the results. I love the Singapore race with all the lights, it's one of favorite's, that and Monza.
So poor Ros could see the church but couldn't get there Frank. I'm pleased she found her way in the end. What a good amount of money that was raised.
You're going to need another garage at this rate Ann. Nice of his brother to give it all to your OH though. Good idea to put everything in plastic boxes where the mice can't get to them, your OH would be so upset if that happened. I don't think it's the brightness on my PC that's causing the migraines, I think it's the length of time I'm on the PC that's doing it, so I'm having regular breaks now. The last thing I want is another migraine.
We had a good sweep up in the garden the other day to Mandy. I spent ages a few months ago clearing out the grill area around the bungalow and didn't want any leaves going in there again. It was a big job and took me ages to do, so I didn't fancy having to do it again. The good thing about the rain though is I don't have to water the plants now. I'm going to have to keep an eye on the big pot we've got our apple tree in, I noticed a squirrel before, no doubt burying an acorn or two in there. They bury them so far down I couldn't find them, but once something starts growing I should be able to pull it out before we end up with an acorn tree in the pot.
Oh forgot to say Mel, try eating a piece of dry bread that normally works for me if I have something stuck in my throat. Hope it works, there's nothing worse is there?

Hi all
I have been reading the posts but haven’t had a chance to post myself. We were up at 2am yesterday, taxi arrived dead on time, going through Southend airport is a doddle compared to, say, Gatwick. We were at the hotel soon after 9. We couldn’t have our rooms till 2 but we were able to have breakfast in the dining room. Then we went to Elizabeth Castle which passed the time nicely for us. Today we have done a round the island coach tour with lots of stops and with a very informative and entertaining commentary from the driver. The day started wet but brightened up later. We’re promised a wet day tomorrow and showery and windy for the rest of the stay. The food is very good with waiter service and plenty of choice at the evening meal
Sorry to hear that you have had another bad migraine Gill. Why don’t you have a word with your GP. If he gives you a diagnosis of migraine there is medication he can prescribe both to help prevent them and to deal with the pain and shorten their duration.
Just noticed the time. I have to shower, dress and titivate a bit and be downstairs in the bar in half an hour so must dash.

I washed it away with another drink Gill. It is'nt material with the little roses on its a ribbon I bought the other week in Holsworthy. Its all edged either side in cream stitching and I thought it was pretty so only bought half a meter. Gill I asked Ann in the shop if she had any small bits in her fabric box as she does a lot of quilting so she brought out the box of what she calls rubbish bits when I went ot the shop yesterday and told me to help myself which I did. I came home and ironed all the bits I had chosen as they were all screwed up. I have done the bunting this afternoon so that one all finished now.
I think something has bitten me under my left arm on the side of my body as I keep having to scratch there.
Must remember to take the box of plastic up the top and park my car at the top of the garden as we are having an oil delivery this week.

Oh I see Mel. Yes it's very pretty, it's just a lovely colour combination isn't it? I should imagine using the ribbon would be a lot easier than making small details to add to the blanket, it's lovely. Like I said earlier you are very clever thinking of these things to make and do a wonderful job. Try taking an antihistamine for the bite, it'll stop it itching so much. Pleased to hear you no longer have something stuck in your throat.
It sounds like you've had a better start to this holiday than the last one Vera. Shame the weather isn't going to be as good though, but I'm sure you'll find lots to do. I agree with Mel, it's always nice to have good food and service, it makes all the difference doesn't it? I was wondering if you had a sea view too. I'm thinking of having a word with the GP about these migraines, but first I'm going to try less time on the computer as I think it might be that causing them. I'm not under any stress so it can't be that as that's what normally triggers them off. My mum was telling me that my sister is the same so I'm wondering to if it might have something to do with the menopause as we're both going through it at the moment. My sister has had something put in her ear which she said is helping, but I'm not keen on that, so less time on the computer first and I'll see how I go on, if it doesn't help then I'll see if there's something else the doctor might be able to do to help.
The F1 race is on now so I'll go and watch that. I've been looking forward to it all day.

Good morning all. Lovely morning here but only 13 degrees so a bit chilly.
Pleased that you are enjoying the break Vera. I can honestly say that the four times we have gone to Jersey the first was in March but the other three in August, it has rained every time for some of the week. Still a lovely place to be. We were very impressed with the museum the last time we went, we didn't do a coach tour but bought hop on and off bus tickets which worked very well. I hope you get at least some dry periods to get around.
Jane, is it today you have gone to Plymouth? Hope all goes well with the visit if it is.
Gill it is quite possible the menopause that is causing the migraines but it would be a good idea to check it out with the doctor.
Mel, look forward to seeing another pretty little set when finished.
Mandy don't blame Max I wouldn't be too keen in having to stand around in the rain either.

Morning all
Bright and sunny here today.
Poor Max having to go out in the rain, I bet he did his business in record time Mandy. Hope the weather stays dry enough for your washing to dry on the line.
I've done the same as you Jane when I've started a post then completely forgotten I hadn't posted it. Many a time I've had to change Morning to Afternoon. It's easily done especially if there's someone at the door, or the phone rings.
I've been recording Sanditon, so have decided to start watching them while I'm sitting here on my own. I don't know what happened last night but Sky went off while I was recording a couple of programmes and when I checked them on the planner it said we'd had a power cut. Nothing else went off but the two programmes i was recording missed a few minutes out while I switched Sky back on. Luckily Sanditon repeats during the week so I've popped that on the planner to record again.

Morning Gill
Tomorrow should be good (see below). I have a chiropodist appointment in Gloucester and we go by bus.
The chief forecast said: “Spells of rain and heavy showers are expected to affect southern parts of England and Wales during Tuesday.
“The heaviest rainfall is likely to be during the morning. Around 20 to 40 mm of rain is expected to fall quite widely, with the potential for up to 70 mm in a few locations.
“Much of the rain will fall in a relatively short space of time, typically less than 6 hours.
“The location of the very heaviest rainfall is currently still somewhat uncertain." :-( :-( :-(

Morning All,
Yet another bad night. !!! Slept for a while, then cramp set in on my right calf. I went into the bathroom on cold floor and it settled, but the damage had been done. I WAS WIDE AWAKE. Dosed and clocked watched until 5.45, and got up. Had some cereal and 3 COT. Ros came out around 9.00 am.
Good luck to Janetoday for her trip tp Plymouth. Hope she funds her friend in reasonable good health. Oh what a strain it will before her. xxx
We had some rain yesterday evening, but not as much as some of you. At the moment we have blue sky, NO BREEZE, with little white clouds. They do forecast rain for later and tomorrow.
Great to see my "HAMMERS" are up to 5th in the Premiership, after beating Man. Utd.
You do seem to have a lot of BUGS up your way Gill. I hope OH gets over it soon and Sandra stays clear of them.
Poor old MAX. My little poodles loved to go out in the rain, I think they loved the good rub down, when they came in. Still miss not having a pet. !!!
We were watching the Police programme this morning, and it was mentioned about the Suenarmy (sp) That was 15 years ago. Now where has all those years gone. We were at Conrads in EDITH WESTON when it came on T.V. They were suppose tp have been flying on holiday.
Just knocked something down the back of my Computer table, Bent down to see what it was and BASHED MY TEMPLE On the corner of the table. OHHHHHH.
