Morning all....

Aw bless Gizmo... do you reckon he has a complex after being given a pink bandage!! That would be enough to make any self-respecting male kitten, just building his street cred, lol, turn into a surly little devil, lol... ask Hermie, we thought he was a she for some time, lol.... even the vet was fooled at first!! He still has some gender issues, I am sure ;¬))

Mamiddau.. hope your car passes her mot... and wish her happy birthday from me!

Ann... enjoy getting your feet pampered... I used to hate going, but loved the feeling after it was finished... felt like I was walking on air for days.

The weather here is also sunny, but blustery... I slept like a log until 6.30 am, so feel fine... I am about to do a fish stock ready for the lasagne... the pan is bubbling away gently, and the fish heads and tails ready to pop in. I shall use up all the little bits of vegetables in the freezer.... add to a salmon, prawn and cobbler mix, layer with creamy white fish sauce and pasta strips... grate cheddar and red leicester on top... and there will be enough to freeze a few portions plus for dinner today... scrummy!! I love it!

Right... let's go and play with food, lolol Then I can do the big monthly order

Love

Got back from the chiropodist after stopping out for a prawn sandwich (OK I added chips to that), then have spent best part of an hour with firefox down so couldn't get on. Still it gave me an opportunity to make a card for my sister.

I hate the chiropodist (well not him personally, he's OK it's what he does.) My toe nails are very sensitive and he grinds them down - can't think of any other way to describe it - and if he grinds too much it hurts. We had one heavy shower while | was in town but I was in Debenhams so didn't get wet, then we had a short one just as I got off the bus so got a bit damp then.

OH just in having won the match with his partner. This means they are through to the finals of a county competition and the final is......... 17th October - when we will be in M Keynes looking after grandchildren!!! Ooops.

Daff, after all the moaning about women golfers standing in the way etc yesterday, he did win the medal!!!! Like a dog with two tails now!

Afternoon Daff and All
What a miserable day it is here, rain absolutely pelting down. OH's bowls match was postponed (has to be bad for the teams to quit) I got soaked on way to keep fit,so we were a couple of soggy bunnies when we arrived back home :O(
Hope you all had better weather where you are

Ann, tell T well done, how are you going to get round the dates? I do hope it can be resolved... I have a chiropodist who comes to the house, I am always on edge as I have what the doc calls a low threshold of pain ,I am really a whimp....the last time she had to cut away the nail that was ingrowing and cut my toe, didnt seem to bother her though, she sorted it out added a plaster and within days it was all better....I did yell though....lol....any pics yet? darling.

Good morning all.
Jean, yes he will miss it, his Grandchildren are more important than golf. It is a shame as we only arranged the weekend last week, if they had not been so late organising the date we wouldn't have gone on that date. I do feel sorry for him because it is a free day out on a good course.
Maz,enjoy your day.

MrDaff Report 4 Sep 2009 10:41

Morning all... Ann... congratulations and commiserations to T, poor love!!

I haven't got long... the phone didn't stop all day yesterday... I think the full moon was affecting a couple of members of my family... they wanted shoulders to cry on, and it seems mine was the perfect one, so I was in bits by the end of the day.. not my own two boys, but other relatives!!

When my dad phoned at 9.30pm, I nearly wept, and thought immediately *oh no!! What's happened?* but it was ok... he has a bit of spare cash, and he wants to take me and my mum out for lunch in a Portugese restauraunt in Cardiff... today! So that was a lovely end to the day... and my second son phoned at 9.45.... he always phones that late, lol! Just to tell me how happy he is now, and that he loves me, lolol He went through a bad time a couple of years back, so it is so good to hear the bubble back in his voice.

So I slept soundly after all.

Must go... I am supposed to be going there first, and then getting a taxi into town... he really is pushing out the boat, lol

Love to you all,

Daff xxxxxx

Hope you have/had a good lunch Daff, you were telling me about the wonderful steaks there so I assume that is what you'll have, kind Daddy to take you!

Why on earth do your family have to pick you to phone when you are the one who has been ill? It can't do you any good at all. Hope today's lunch helps to recover your 'strength'.

I do know he is a good driver and drives quite a bit with toing and froing from Uni, but Friday on the M4 is not a lot of fun in a small car.
