Lol Jac... Goosegogs... haven't had those for years!! And the thunderflies!! Do you know, they were the worst in your neck of the woods than anywhere else I have ever lived.. I still have prints, with sealed backs, which they have managed to penetrate while we lived there!!

I am going to take it easy, promise... if you could see my half finished kitchen you would understand how laid back I tend to be... but looking at a murky pink ceiling, and with only a single coating on walls, no doors to the one-day-to-be-fitted wardrobe, and the light hanging from the ceiling... well, I can change that myself!! I think one of my sisters will help... she is a dab hand at the decorating lark... better than any professional, I can tell you......... but she gets bossy, lololol ;¬))

Yep, it's to do with the plumbing...... side effect of one of the drugs has probably brought it on, it certainly wasn't there before!!

I LOVE Dunelm... I am their most frequent visitor, I think, lol..... I have cream bedding throughout... but then buy a single or double bedspread in the colours I want... this then covers the duvet nicely, but still fits in the machine to wash.. and is soooooo much cheaper than buying hard to manouver (sp) superking bedspreads..... which can't fit in the machine, no matter how much I kick and scream, jimmy and shove the darned things.

But..... I like to change the colours around quite frequently!! I quite fancy jade or peacock, but not with brown, with cream... I think his nibs will go with that. But then... winter time I shall want sommat warmer and more *snuggly* colourwise.

R is probably right... if I put a colour up, I shall want it changed twice a year, lol

Now, how can I give in, but make him think I have won???????

Love

Daff xxxx

ps.... he is never ever fooled... he knows me too well, but lets me carry on with my delusions, lolol

Morning Daff and all. First of all am so sorry to hear about your Granny, Mamiddau, doesn't matter how old, , the loss is still there. And also best wishes to Star and family.

I dreamt that my future daughter in law was heavily pregnant and her waters broke in my kitchen!! The floor was flooded! Lol! Wonder what that means?

*looks in crystal ball. Daffy, I see you reclining in a peacock and gold bedroom. I have this amazing tin of gold paint which I use when anything catches my eye...you may borrow it if you wish:-)

It has been raining all night, am off to the park in a minute when I catch up on the boards. I still skim them every morning but there is less and less to read, I feel. Anyone seen SueM or Susan with Numbers lately?

Bye for now. BCXXX

Aw Mamiddau, I am so sorry to hear about your granny...... you will miss her so much. One day, you will be able to remember the precious moments with a smile, I promise you. ((((((((hugs)))))))

BC... that sounds lovely.... Mmmmmm Peacock and gold?? I have some spray gold paint somewhere, too...... I spoke to Susan a couple of nights ago... she has been very busy, but I'm sure she'll be back on soon... Sue pm'd me on Friday.. her hurty bits are a little less hurty, so hopefully they will gradually be *not hurty at all* Mwah to Susan and Sue M if you look in.

~~waves to Maz... it'll look fabulous when it's finished!

Hiya Jean...... lol re the hearing aid... my mum uses hers to wind my dad up... if he is nagging her (he does, rather a lot, lol) then she makes a huge fuss about turning it off and putting it on the table in front of her... it is soooo funny!! How is J by the way? Is he driving again, yet??

Hi Joy.. hope all is well with you and yours?..... Mwah for you, as well.

Morning Taff... I am with BC, here *also pictures Taff making clay pots with Patrick Swayze* lolol.......... Well Washed Wales... I love it!! We've had another good washing this morning, but the sun is shining now..... big clouds on the horizon, though. I think we'll go out, rather than do the garden... it is too wet and soggy!

Star!! Your lot are certainly in the wars just now, bless them!! I hope they are all well again, soon... and all the summer holidays in plaster? Bless her!!

My problem with the plumbing isn't a huge problem... more uncomfortable than anything else.... but it can be eased... not cured though... it is a skin complaint, like eczema or psoriasis. For me, it is only slightly uncomfortable... for others it can be extremely uncomfortable... in a few very rare cases it can turn into cancer... the condition itself is rare (although they are beginning to think it is more common than is thought, and misdiagnosed as thrush) and has *flare ups*... there is a belief now that it is an auto immune problem, as it is often connected to other auto immune conditions..... sigh!!

That is why they are doing the biopsy... they are ruling out the cancer. They are fairly sure that it isn't... but like the biopsy I had of my sinus in March, and the mammogram a couple of weeks ago (both of which were clear) they are not taking any chances with me, lol

My *s* is sticking!! I have had to go through all this, bashing the *s* into submission!!

Oh dear... R has his cross voivce on... indications are that Jethro has brought in a live one, lolol

Nope... it is very very dead... he has tried to drag in a chicken carcass through the catflap... a cooked one... wonder where he got that from??? He has been in someone's bin, hasn't he??? wmsl... think I'll prepare for an irate neighbour, lololol

Must go and save R.... Jethro torments him.... but he'll hand over to me... must get my *stern mamma* voice ready, lolol

Love

Daff xxxx

Hi, Daff, yes J is driving again and I have managed to get him to do some shopping too, he goes to the hospital for another check up on Tuesday, but now he has been reffered to our local clinic, no more district nurses, cramps his style a bit lol thanks for asking.....

Phew that was a lot to catch up on since Thursday evening. We have just returned from a lovely weekend with our son and family, lovely to see the grandchildren as we had not seen them for 6 months, and 12 year old grandson is taller than me now!! Son took us all out for a meal last night at Raymond Blanc's Brasserie which was very pleasant (food a bit pretentious but it made a change from Steak and chip places). Then today we went to watch 7 year old granddaughter perform at a gymnastics display. they were all very good and, as only 7 year olds can be, very 'earnest'. There were different classes and it has probably just finished as it went on all afternoon too. The older girls were excellent with their displays, more like circus acts you see on TV throwing one up and catching her etc. It was great to see so many young children participating enthusiastically and all joining in the warm up before hand. And, something unusual, cameras were allowed. It said 'you are allowed to take photos of your children', but nobody was vetting any photos taken. and what is more no parents complained!

Daff, hopefully your stay will be brief, hope your urgent one comes up before mine did which, as you know, is september!!

Mammaddau, I am so sorry to hear about your granny, it is hard to lose somebody you love no matter how old. (((((hugs))))) for you.

Taff, see Swansea rain...... I told you!!!!! sunny in M Keynes, and sunny here in glos!!!
Jean, hope you get on with the aids OK, they take a bit of getting used to but you need to persevere.

BC, I am sure that your hait looks lovely, and it will soon lighten as you wash it.

Can't think of anything else I have missed so sorry if there was anything important, give me a nudge if there was.

Love
Ann xx

You're worn out with all that reading, aren't you? lol!!

I went into the Range today..... wow.. I won't know where to start.... there is just sooooooo much!! And they have stuff to make Christmas cards in already...!! I loved all the glittery/sparkly stuff, but as I wouldn't know where to start them, I shall leave them for now!! Until I have seen yours.... I have decided to start another two books.... one for each of my princesses... and it will include all the drawings they have done while staying here etc etc.... but they are long term projects, not a short term thing at all... erm should this be on the scrapbooking thread??????

I saw a lovely hexagonal gazebo... R wouldn't let me get it. He said it was too big for any of our *spots. Well... it would have fitted over the circular lawn, so there!!

Ann, we saw some of those blind/awning thingies... £199!!!!! And that was the smallest!! I'll stick with the £19.99 gazebo, for now... it is mainly for R to have his nicotine fix under, lol

Well.... must go and turn the roasties!!

Love
