Waves ~~~~~~~~ to mamiddau...... lol.... yes, they are very painful for what they are, aren't they?? I must be quite tough, cos I'm not bruising easily, lol......

Ann, I have baby scissors ;¬))) lolol

Seeds? What seeds ;¬)))

Only joking.... Rob knows where they are, so hopefully, he'll remember. I'm going to do the *natural* thing, and sow them this weekend..... they should flower early, then. And I will know where they are, lolol

Great to read your results Daff. I'm so very pleased for you.Enjoy doing all those things which were barred for a while.

I'm back home now from my cat-sitting stint......
It was sooo hot, but we kept on 'finding' a need to look up something else each day at the Record Office just to have the benefit from their wonderful air- conditioning. The long opening hours meant we could stay until 7pm, ...Bliss !

Morning Daff and all and my apologies to Huia for my lack of R in my last post! It DID sound like I had a few too many. But I prodded it and it is now appears to be working. Very hot already here...Hope you are not dashing about today Daff, do something gentle like trailing your fingers in the rippling water as somebody gently punts down the steam., and you simply must wear a large hat and diaphinous dress, and a glass of Pimms in left hand.

There, have sorted your day out for you:-) lol I fogot to tell you that I had my frist ride on the back of a motorbike for over forty years whilst I was in Ireland.., Up and down mountains we raced...it was so thrilling! I do declare I think I may be experiencing my second childhood! LOL

Happy Saturday to all.

Morning everyone....... it was a bit dull when I first got up.... nearly strangled myself putting the washing line back up! Had a cup of tea, removed the live mouse quivering behind the basket in the hallway.... released him back into the wild, so hope the poor creature survives. There was no cat around to indicate the culprit, but from the trail of destruction around, I imagine it was Jethro. He had knocked the phone and cradle off it's perch, and also pulled the plugs, plus the wireless tower thingy was disconnected, and halfway down the hallway.

I had to remove one from him yesterday... he was watching it scuttle through the slightly long grass, and as it got to the edge, he would pick it up and plonk it back in the middle... didn't realise what he was doing at first... he has taken to watching ants, so I thought that was what he was doing. Clever cat though... he has just typed a near as damn it literal interpretation of his *gimme milk, and gimme it now* word, lol

BC... so pleased you have your *r* back... now if it was a *z* or a *y* that was stuck, it would have been so much easier to skirt around the word or substitute other letters... but your *R* is much more difficult!! You coud have gone all Johnathon Woss, I suppose, lol ;¬)) By the way, I am so jealous of your motorbike ride... I had all the gear when I was younger... leather skirt and jacket, red silk scarf, black and silver helmet, knee high black leather boots and red silk/satin shirts and blouses.... striking!!

Glad my horrendous induction (scuse the pun!!) into the pangs of labour made you giggle.... it was so embarrassing, really... oh, and he stuffed them under my pillow!! I blame the little turquoise pill they gave me at stupid o'clock to reduce my blood pressure, I do!!

I have got the Pimms!! Oh, and the straw hat... no diaphinous frock, though.... shopping trip coming up!!! ;¬))

Morning Maz.... fancy getting stuck in down here? I feel thoroughly lazy today......

~~~~~~ to Huia
~~~~~~ and to Sue M.... squishy (((((((hugs)))))) right back at you, lol

Gwyn, I used to do that in FamaG... that was one of the reasons I went into the posh card and gift shop, lol..... and the bank... on JFK.... they had air conditioning!!

Right.... must decide what to do today........ two of my sisters will be coming along later... and my nieces will probably be along with them... Now, do I tidy the kitchen, or go and play in the garden?

No contest, really, is there?

Gardening it is then, lol!! Just a bit of the gentle sort!

See you all later.... have a lovely day, whatever you are doing.

Love

Morning Daff and Mr Daff:o))

Another lovely day here and cooler, atlast, blinky heck it was too hot was'nt it!!
Daff thats brilliant news, well done, your such a clever girl, keep it up:o)))

Been to sons and had a fab time with little M, wish we could see as much of little E.
Took M on the Severn Valley Steam Railways, oh boy what a fantastic time we had, he just loved it:o))

Off to Sussex on the coach tomorrow my cousin is having a bad time to say the least and his son is in hospital with what they think is an insect bite that has reacted very badly....he's in surgery at 4pm today, in absolute agony since Thursday night. Cousin had 3 hernias put back last Wednesday and is supposed to be resting for 72 hrs....l'm going to try and help, wish me luck!!!

Take care :o)

Hiya Taff and Jude.

It is now throwing bucketsful of water down from the heavens, lol... they say there may be a bit of flooding in S Wales, but very hot weather in other areas! Well, the garden needs a really good drenching, so I am let off one job tonight, anyway... not that I do it, really... I start and then His Nibs takes over, lol.

Jude I won't say have a good time... hope your cousin's son feels better soon......

Jethro is going to get thumped if he brings me in one more live mouse to play with, lol...... Taff, your cat is welcome to the brain cells which motivate that behaviour, honestly!!

But he is just so loveable, he gets away with most things!! My sister called him a spoilt brat today.... and there she was with him stretched out on her lap, just the thing, lol!! A real tart... belly showing and all legs splayed...

Well, I am off for an early night tonight... my favourite film, Sister Act, is on.... but I can barely keep my eyes open!

Nite all!!

Love

Daff xxxx

Huia Report 5 Jul 2009 00:18

Daff, I am shocked that you should call your sister a tart, although the behaviour described does sound a bit like it! Oh, perhaps you are talking about the cat, not your sister.

BC, it looks as if the R is overeager to compensate. Frist?

Morning everyone... well, Huia, wmsl.... I have just re-read that, and howled... well, I was tired, lolol.... My sister would throttle me, lol... so pleased she isn't that interested in rellie hunting... she has to get her daughter to switch the computer on.... so I am safe there, she won't read it ;¬)) I meant the cat of course... not that he thinks he's a cat... he really is spoiled, he has so much character!

Morning Maz.... weather is lovely this morning, all sunshiney and rainwashed, and I am sure it would smell lovely and fresh... can't smell it, but did get a waft of one of my roses yesterday, so sense of smell is returning, I hope.

I put some stuff on Freecycle yesterday... all bar the cot is being collected today or tomorrow, lol.... I can't believe how many folk were interested in the curtain material, men as well!! In the dusky pink, one bloke (very 1980's, lol) which surprised me... probably gonna flog it on e-bay, but I don't care, there is at least 10 metres of each colour (I intended to cover an old suite to match the curtains, only I got a full time job very quickly each posting, lol)

And two very weird-sized radiator covers........ I took them cos they came as a job lot, and I only wanted the one, when Princess Dynamo (was Thugette, but she doesn't fit the profile anymore, lol) was smaller.

Well, must go and dig out all this material......... it is hidden all over the place.

Love

ButtercupFields Report 5 Jul 2009 11:31

Morning Daff:-) Freecycle is wonderful isn't it? There is always someone who will love what you have grown tired of or have no use for! I must have had about 50 replies for an old leather chair and the person who got it was really lovely so that was nice.

Have just spent two hours in park searching for a missing dog. The irony was I was explaining to this woman why I never let my dog off the lead (she is a compulsive runaway..(.my dog not the woman)) when...suddenly...her dog disappeared!! My own dog was livid that I was hauling her round the park shouting Toggles!! and whistling in a shrill fashion. Anyway the dog was found, munching food thrown away by feckless folk, and resting in the shade. Tears mopped up and drama over.

Am trying to get the willpower to do some cleaning...but it is still humid so think I will have a little rest:-)

Hope you all have a restful Sunday. BC XX

Hi All, just to say I am home. Lovely sunshine all day and all the way as far as Cirencester when it clouded over a bit, then started raining at Crickley Hill, then, shades of July 2007 a veritable cloudburst as we came into the home straight, flooded roads etc, arrived home to very bedraggled hanging baskets, I so hope they recover, they were looking beautiful when we left yesterday. not been able to unpack the car yet as it is raining too much.
