BC I think st Anthony would need to catch a 94 bus to find it, worth a try maybe!!!

Just been reading the panto thread, that Persephone is a naughty person..... but soooo funny.

Nite then Daff.

well rain again here

ButtercupFields Report 30 Nov 2009 08:18

Morning Daff, morning Maz in the Mist: and good morning all. It is rather damp here too. I did some more Christmas shopping in Oxford Street (have become very good at crashing through people who dare stand in my way! lol)...and retrieved my precious debit card from Selfridges. A dingy little office deep in the dungeons and miles away from the glitz and glamour up above.

Hope you had a peaceful evening Daffy, it will seem strange with Littlie. Nice to see Mummo popping in, my heart goes out to her what she has gone through.

Has anyone seen Mammidau? I miss her...

Happy Monday to all

BCXXX

ps....I have pledged £2 to St Anthony, Ann, as he has been getting a bit greedy of late and he must understand about the credit crunch etc. I think we should give him a two day Find limit...what do you think?

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 30 Nov 2009 09:04

Thank you BC, about right I think. We will see.

MrDaff Report 30 Nov 2009 09:23

Morning all.... erm, BC, do we pay up if he doesn't deliver? (my goodness, I felt like Al Capone saying that, lolol) And how, exactly, does one pay? Does he have a collection box somewhere, or does he have a charity close to his heart?

Ann, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find it soon, or remember where you last saw it. xxx

I slept like a log.... son stayed up there another night... he is going to see one of his tutors, who is now the head of department, to get some research ideas, and a reference... he has a reference from his other tutor, so that is good.

We have blue skies here!! Wow.....A few little delicate clouds.... like the cherubs have knicked Gabriel's pipe and have been trying to blow smoke rings, lolol

No, I haven't seen Mummo for a while... she sneaked on quickly last week when her boss wasn't looking.... but it was very brief, so I imagine the job is going well, and H has the star speaking role in the school play, bless her heart!

~~~~~~~~ waves to Maz... good luck to Gizmo.... his eyes will only water for a brief while, lolol bless him, too!
Morning Mummo, I do hope you find Eddie more comfortable today... I'll pop into your support thread in a minute.
Right, now what shall I avoid doing today? I am not in the mood for swearing at all.... I have all Littlie's bedding in the machine, and did a load of towels last night that I now have tumbling merrily away.... the dishwasher needs emptying.... I hate doing that!! it hurts my back! So I shall avoid doing that for an hour or so, until all the achey bits have loosened up, lol
I have a couple of e-mails to send with photos in.... and the conservatory floor needs a wash....
Decisions decisions.... which shall I avoid first? ;¬))
Have a good day everyone... oh, and BC you have earned a week off from shopping, lolol!!
Love and ((((((hugs))))))
Well at the moment we are trying hard to get hold of Stagecoach lost property!!! Why do these people not answer their phones? We had to ring one number to get hold of this one - it is not on their web site, why not? Given that the first thing you want to do if you lose something is ring the place where you think you lost it. Then I will have to ring the council..... I could be all day on the phone!!
AnninGlos
AnninGlos Report 30 Nov 2009 11:13
T finally manged to get through to the office in Cheltenham and they have not got it there so I have phoned the council, they now have to send out a form to me and I have to pay £5 (if it had been stolen I wouldn't have to pay). Thing is, if somebody has picked it up and not returned it, have they stolen it? No proof I suppose so I will pay over the money! Have to wait now for the form. One annoying thing is that it was in a holder (the old bus pass holder) and they don't issue holders any more.
Yes the sun is shining, our 'man' has finished and been paid, now just have to wait for the scaffold men. Man cleaned the windows for the third and final time this morning then when he came to the front door (which he fitted in 2007) he decided it was dragging a bit (we had not noticed), so he promptly got his tools out and fixed it.
Then we went to tesco and had lunch at the Brewers Fayre (and I have posted all of my Christmas cards - to get them out of the way.
ButtercupFields
Afternoon gals:-)) Just back from work and having a sandwich. Grey, brooding kind of day, but have just seen a spot of flowering Jasmine outside!!
Now Ann, St Anthony is waiting for the signal or a *wink...wants to know if he can go ahead with his Finding Miracle or are you using other sources? Or shall we use the Correct Way as well as the Holy Way? hmmmm..think you could hedge your bets and do both:)
Daff, there is a small church near me and I swear Fr O'Flannery goes wild with joy when he see me coming. There is a statue to St Anthony with a rusty collection box beside it and I am always paying visits so I think I keep them going.....pmsl...I also light a few candles while I am there so that's nice...my small piece of spirituality.
I was a bit concerned for The Dragon as she said her bank had phoned her yesterday (on a Sunday?) and queried a large amount on a cheque (and no it wasn't made out to me! lol) and she had to give them all her security information. Have told her never to do it again and also told the Bank to stop hassling her. The cheque goes in every month to pay her rent so they should be used to it by now. It shows how easy it would be to scam the elderly.
Hope you are all having a good day. BCXX
AnninGlos Report 30 Nov 2009 14:56
Well BC I will leave you to wink at St Anthony but if we have to pay up front I think that will be money wasted as Not being able to search all the 94 buses where I am sure it was lost there is no hope of St Anthony or anyone finding it. Somebody in their 50s is probably getting free transport now as the drivers don't look at photos.
However, being the cheapskate I am, if he can find it first and be paid in retrospect (for a job well done), well then yes, go ahead.
MrDaff Report 30 Nov 2009 21:00
Well, I am exhausted..... all this doing nothing is very hard work, you know!!
I am off to bed early... I changed the sheets this morning, and I have a new Codeword book... so I shall sit in bed all cosy and do a couple of puzzles... B is safely home, he and R have been fed and watered, all the pets have been fed... and I am flushed with a bit of success cos I have managed to upload more photos to my Facebook album!! Aren't I the clever bunny? lolol
Night night all..... and ((((((hugs)))))) for Mummo if you pop your head around the door.
Morning all..... oh my goodness isn't the frost so beautiful???? I took some photos of the sunset yesterday..... I did wonder if it was going to be frosty today...... yesterday was beautiful, but chilly outside.
Maz.... he needs his snip soon, bless him.... he is wanting to go off Tomming, lol........ his hormones are waking him up.... he'll probably settle once he has had the snip! Good luck!
Ann..... I'm sure you'll be fine..... I wouldn't want to drive out in it, though, I have to say, and have to go out later, so hope it has melted by then..... it does look beautiful, though, doesn't it?
