Sorry.... got a phonecall just as I was about to come on here..... sorry!!

Littlie has helped make soup (groans, loudly) and has generally been Granny's little shadow... even though Grampy and Daddy are there to be *coughs* helped, as well.

We have put the washing in, filled the dishwasher... she has cracked switching them on.... with washing, she did at least wait to see which programme.... put washing into the tumble dryer, removed and folded..... then re-loaded... with the help of Jethro as well.... emptied dishwasher.... I shall never find a thing again..... had our showers, made cups of tea and coffee.... she has helped herself to the orange juice... proper stuff, so she won't be burdened with constipation again!! *sighs*

I am now exhausted... she is having lunch now..... and then a nap.... and then out... she refused point blank to go out earlier.... arms out, palm up, pained expression on her little face.... Is raining Buddy, not get wet now...... and my conservatory is adorned with paintings, colourings, collages, glitter and glue. We have run out of glitter!! Now how sad is that???

Are your windows lovely, Ann? Is the scaffolding down yet?

Maz and BC, grandad shirts were all the rage at one time... I wore them with waistcoats..... well, trousers, as well *blushes* BC.... you'll catch your death wandering around like that!!

I am quite tired and achey today..... all that rain, lolol seeps into the joints and washes the WD40 away, lolol.... so I am now going to just swan around.... might even change back into scruffs, as littlie seems to have gone straight off to sleep.... not a peep out of her! She'll sleep about 2 hours if we let her.... but she has been going to bed later than at home, so that she can talk to mummy who has been working 11 am to 8pm...... Littlie normally goes to bed about 7, and this way she is at least bright and cheerful when she talks, not whingeing cos she is so tired!

Right.... off to feed my face, and then go and hibernate for an hour myself ;¬))

Love

My you have been busy, and what did we say about not doing too much!!!???

The windows will be lovely when they are cleaned!!! No not finished yet, scaffolding still up, He didn't come until 1.30 today as the boards he wanted were not available in Gloucester, he could have got white but we wanted brown, so he had to go to Cheltenham. The windows, and the drive, the path between the houses, both front doors the top of the conservatory and probably next door's conservatory as well are all covered in fine brick dust stuck on with rain!!! Before re-pointing the old pointing has to be ground off, he finished doing that today so tomorrow will be pointing and fixing the boards. Yesterday his son was with him, today he was on his own. Tomorrow, who knows?? And, as to do the windows he has to take the old window out and therefore there is temporarily a large hole, while son is sanding brick work!!! The lounge and our bedroom to a lesser extent were covered in brick dust as well. I have cleaned the lounge but not had time to do the bedroom so will have to do that tomorrow. Shopping this morning before he came, then hair colour and dentist this afternoon. (Now got two sets of lovely new white teeth!!!!, and these only cost £75 so the cost is obviously in the metal framework as the others were £450. hopefully that is the last you will hear from me on the subject of teeth.) Anyway, begone grey hair, makes me feel younger if I don't look it anyway.

One thing Daff, why does littly call you Buddy??

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 26 Nov 2009 18:06

Oh dear, Ann..... loads of work there then...... I bet your neighbours are pleased, too!!

As for work... it sounds a lot, but wasn't really.... two loads of tumbling, one of washing, dishwashing and soupmaking... it might have gone quicker without my merry band of helpers (all 5 cats appeared out of nowhere when the chicken came out of the fridge, lol) Plus I had an hours sleep as well, and have just got up.;¬)) So I am pacing myself,honestly!

*Buddy* is actually littlie's soft bedtime cuddly rabbit... she had him from before she was born... he has always stayed in the bedroom and went to bed with her, until earlier this year, when he began to make his way downstairs at home... and in the final few weeks before they split, she needed to take him to nursery, too. One day, when she was here earlier this year, she put Buddy back to bed, and started calling hubby and I Buddy... we have to refer to ourselves as Granny and Grampy, but her name for us is Buddy. But.... she has only once brought Buddy downstairs since, I think we serve the same purpose as him. She still needs Buddy with her all the time at home, although she doesn't take him to Nursery any more.

Now, these sparkly new teef of yours...... you'll have a set to suit every occasion!! And the glint from them is dazzling me all the way down here!!!

Love

Good morning all.
It has stopped raining here for a while and I can see blue sky although chilly but it is nearing December and the silly season.
I have been awake most of the night coughing thats why I on here instead of doing H*******k feeling a bit rough.
Hope everyone is ok today, I did have plans to go Christmas shopping but I might just go back to bed for a while or I might just lounge on the couch and watch tv if there is anything worth watching.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing

Good morning Daff and all:-) Looks like a nice day here (I just peeped out of the window), so, back to bed Havoc and let the **usew**k lie there until another time:-) Best wishes also to Gizmo and Ann's teeth.

I had a lovely day shopping in Oxford Street yesterday (apart from the foot cramp when I got back) and not many people getting in my way. I have a lovely sparkly purple heart on my hand which wont come off! This very nice girl was demonstrating in Selfridges about Body Art, which I bought for my 14 year old niece. I must warn her not to put it on before school! lol

Hope you have a rested a lot, Daff, and enjoy the rest of your time with Littlie.

Happy Friday to all.

Good morning, feeling a bit aggravated this morning as we are stuck with the scaffolding until we get a dry day!!! Probably into next week. He can't do the pointing until the brickwork dries out so today he is up top doing the boarding. T is endeavouring to disperse the brick dust from between the houses, builder has already hosed down the back but the windows still need cleaning off.

Anyway, I have minutes to type up so better get on with that. Have a good day everyone whatever you are doing. Have we a project today??

*Puts sunglasses on because of the glare from all those flashing ivories*

Good morning everyone.... Littlie was a wake a bit earlier today... so Grampy and Daddy will be having coffee taken to them even earlier. ;¬))

We have a fairly easy day planned... we shall go and visit Gt Gran and Gt Grandad in Cardiff.... once we have demolished their house, we shall go to the park.......and then back here to sort out the clothes and car ready to go back tomorrow. We are going to a Wedding Vow renewal tomorrow, so will be gone before they leave.

This is my favourite time of the day with her.... she wakes up in a wonderful mood in the morning.... she is having toast and honey at the moment... she has fed all the cats, but is miffed that all bar Jessie ran away from her..... until she sat down, and then they slowly crept back to their dishes.

Havoc, I hope you are feeling better soon.... sitting up all night with a hacking cough is no joke, is it? Daytime tv sounds mind numbingly good! lol

Morning Huia.... hope you manage to get to your BBQ.... it still feels strange to read about weather totally the opposite to ours.... well, I know we are having rain too, but it is cold rain, not warm!

Ann, those new old teef look really good!! I have one date, by the way.... the 18th?? That is if my rheumatology appointment doesn't coincide with that date... R has his works lunch...... and usually comes home afterwards, so that would work out ok? I can make it earlier if you like....

Maz, poor little thing.... but he will be better for it, and they are very forgiving, lolol... Jethro and Hermie don't seem to have held it against me, lolol

~~~~~~~~ to BC, I hope you slept well.
Mummo, I second what Ann says... we are good company... but can be a bit irreverend at times, lol.... we are full of positive thoughts and hope, and believe, in general, that a laugh and a smile helps keep spirits and hopes high... whilst not taking away the seriousness of anyone's condition or situation...... (((((((((((hugs)))))))))) for you and hubby, and I hope his op goes smoothly.
Right.... us two girls are off to wake up the men in our lives... with coffee to start, if that doesn't work, then littlie goes in as a weapon of mass destruction, lol.... All guns blazing, full throttle, trampolining little cannon ball that she is, lolol! ;¬))
Love
*grinning like a cheshire cat..... Because I can!!Lol!!!!
Daff that date sounds fine, when will you know about the rheumatology appointment? Come earlier, that will be fine, as long as I know roughly what time, same place for lunch or do you want me to do something here?
MrDaff
MrDaff Report 27 Nov 2009 11:27
Mummo... I have read your update, and now realise that an operation isn't on the cards at the moment... that is a good sign, I am certain... son no 1 didn't need an op, either... his fractures were all lower, though, none in the neck. ((((((((((hugs)))))))))
Ann, the bookings people have told me that I am on the December list, so will hear soon.... they legally have to offer an appointment within 10 weeks now... by then it will be a little longer since my referral, but not much. I don't have a date yet, which is very awkward!
I don't mind where we go for lunch......that place was lovely.... and I shall make sure cash is in my purse and card as well, lolol But I am equally happy with lunch at yours.... will we be going to the garden centre???? lol I am an easy date, lolol!!
Well... off to do some visiting.... I have taken some stunning photos of Littlie this morning.... even if she does have her jim jams on and half her breakfast around her mush, lolol
Congratulations Sue, I remember looking at the work you did on the window a while back and it was so beautiful.
Daff, I was in Poundland yesterday afternoon and they have bags of glitter and sequins etc for craftwork, obviously £1 a bag lol Just so you can get stocked up for the next visit lol
Sorry I don't get on the thread much, but do manage a quick read sometimes. Life is a bit stressful again at the mo and this is never my favourite time of year.
Roll on Spring!
