Blue Moon, Love it. Had not seen that one before!!! I think I will copy it and pin it on the wall!!

MrDaff Report 13 Nov 2009 12:02

Blue Moon, I am hysterical... have you been in my house, then? I am trying so hard to cull and tidy... and just making more *heaps* while I go along! I have thrown loads of stuff out... and have bags and boxes ready to be collected by freecyclers.... but still don't have enough room in my drawers and cupboards, lol...

Of course, son has moved back so his room is now cluttered with his stuff, although some of mine has sneaked back in..... and littlie's bedroom has had a clearing out of the cupboards and drawers... they look lovely, so empty and clean.

Shame about the piles of *stuff* neatly perched on the bed... and the floor.... and on the ironing board, which is in there at the moment.

Thank you... I am going to print that off, as well! wmsl!

Morning Ann... you off anywhere nice today? The weather was bad yesterday, so I stayed in.... but I really do have to go out shopping... and to the bamk, as I have some cheques to put in..... and I need an up to date photograph of me for my driving licence replacement...... *sighs*

We are off to the Blackpool area tomorrow.... staying overnight at son's, and meeting his new girlfriend and her two children... and seeing my little granddaughter for the first time since my birthday, so I can't wait!!

Maz, I agree with your Linemanager, too.... you certainly weren't observed anywhere near enough.... the whole idea of an NVQ is that it is practice based... your work should be observed, and then commented on... and then any shortfalls that couldn't be observed directly, covered with questions and witness statements.... you have been let down rather badly. I used to *shadow* a candidate on shift. Sometimes that meant working part of a waking night shift, but that was what I was supposed to do!

Good luck for the new course, though... did you get your placements sorted out?

~~~~~~~~~ to BC
Well, the rain has eased off a bit... so I am going to grab a bite to eat and then go off out to play!
Have a lovely day everyone.
Love
No not going anywhere today as the weather is going to close in this afternoon according to the forecast. T did manage to play golf and it stayed more or less dry, and I walked round for the papers.
I am feeling a bit (no a lot) down at the moment..... cue more from Pam Ayres.... I got my new teeth adjusted on Wednesday, they were really tight and were great. Wore them from Wednesday until about 11.30 today, including meals. Made a coffee, had a sip and a bite of milky way (a small bite and it was not hard). teeth were immediately loose. and no way can I wear them now as they don't stay clipped in, so back to the old ones. I could cry, I really could it is so getting me down I wish I had never bothered.
Blue Moon
Blue Moon Report 13 Nov 2009 12:26
I hadn't seen the last Pam Ayres before it reminds me of my middle bedroom,
i'm still waiting for my OH to put the christmes decoration from last year in the loft,
I don't think i'll bother now...lol
Sorry Ann but i've got to put the old classic .....................
Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth,
And spotted the perils beneath,
All the toffees I chewed,
And the sweet sticky food,
Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth.
I wish I'd been that much more willin'
When I had more tooth there than fillin'
To pass up gobstoppers,
From respect to me choppers
And to buy something else with me shillin'.
When I think of the lollies I licked,
And the liquorice allsorts I picked,
Sherbet dabs, big and little,
All that hard peanut brittle,
My conscience gets horribly pricked.
My Mother, she told me no end,
"If you got a tooth, you got a friend"
I was young then, and careless,
My toothbrush was hairless,
I never had much time to spend.
Oh I showed them the toothpaste all right,
I flashed it about late at night,
But up-and-down brushin'
And pokin' and fussin'
Didn't seem worth the time... I could bite!
If I'd known I was paving the way,
To cavities, caps and decay,
The murder of fiIlin's
Injections and drillin's
I'd have thrown all me sherbet away.
So I lay in the old dentist's chair,
And I gaze up his nose in despair,
And his drill it do whine,
In these molars of mine,
"Two amalgum," he'll say, "for in there."
How I laughed at my Mother's false teeth,
As they foamed in the waters beneath,
But now comes the reckonin'
It's me they are beckonin'
Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth
Morning Maz and welcome back Jean...hope your kitchen is gorgeous! What's this about Daff gadding about for the weekend...I hope she is safe from the storms. Well no sign of high winds here but lots of rain. Had an unpeaceful night's sleep, first of all some idiot rang my doorbell at 4.30am and muttered he was sorry he had the wrong place. I just wish I had my squeaky gate back, it might have deterred him. Then the dog threw up in my bedroom. LOL...
I have given up on the scanner problem and have emailed HP. I shall now get the wellies out and do the park trip. After that I have to paint a cupboard....
Hope everyone has a happy Saturday:-)
Hope you eventually got away Daff.
We have just been in to town on the bus, I bought a camisole top from M&S on Thursday, lovely looking, supposed to hold you in all over the place, black with sequins across the top (meant to be seen.) Well I am a 16 so I bought a 16 but no way could I even get the thing over my head, let alone anywhere else!!!! So back it had to go. Ended up with a T shirt material type blouse and a sleeveless pullover instead. A bit naughty as I bought 2 tops and a velvet jacket on Thursday as well. But we are going to a Shearings hotel in Torquay in December for three days so needed (wanted) something to wear in the evenings there, and needed a jacket (it is a light velvet wrap jacket) for the golf club seniors Christmas 'do' in December as well.
T bought new golf shoes as his old ones gave him an enormous blister on Friday.
Anyway, it was extremely blustery in town but stayed dry until we got off the bus this end when it chucked it down so we ended up getting soaked, luckily we only have a five minute walk from the bus so were soon in the warm. We will stay home the rest of the day.
Morning all and hope our Daff is having a lovely weekend. Just had a very long walk in the park with doggie, the weather is like a spring day, sunny and calm after the storms. Hope it lasts. I painted my large cupboard (well it's a small walk in wardrobe) and stencilled some large gold stars on the paintwork...lol....
Am off to Kilburn now to brave the masses...
Have a nice day y'all:-)
Good afternoon, it is a lovely day here too which means OH can get out into the garden to sort the fuchsias and geraniums. I did my bit by filling the many bird seed feeders.
