Just peeping in from Tenerife.
Mo so pleased the result of your scan was nothing worse than IBS. A relief for you.

Sylvia my condolences on the death of your friend but really I think a relief for him and for his wife.

Sallie hope your doctors visit went ok. Glad you enjoyed your visit to Wales.

Oooh look girls, we have got a peeping Ann, not Tom. Hope you are both enjoying yourselves Ann. Just to let you know, our weather is glorious lol hope yours is as nice. We are due a heat wave tomorrow, so I must remember my factor 50.

Jean honey, sorry to hear that you have both been under the weather. That blessed vertigo just doesn't go completely does it, it comes back and smacks on the back of your head before you realise it.
Don't lose to much weight, or we wont recognise you, and we love you the way you were.

Time for tea now, it's nearly six p.m and I am hungry.
Bye my lovelies, speak to you later. Love Mo xxx

Hi Mo, been a lovely day here today about 26 on the patio this afternoon. We walked down into town and were very energetic walking back up the 200 steps. Had to have quite a few rests on the way though.

Jean, sorry to hear that you and J have not been well, hope you are both better now.

Re the heat wave Mo, you know you always have one when we are away. :-D

Sallie Report 5 May 2013 22:00

Hi girls,

Jean lovely to see you on here, I was getting worried about you as we haven't heard from you for a good many days. Glad to know that both you and J are feeling a bit better.

I know you told me that your mother was from N Wales but didn't know that she was from Newtown. Do you know if Newtown was in Montgomeryshire? One of my grt grt grandmotheras was born in that county, but I am having a job finding anything about her....it's more difficult with her name being Margaret Williams.lol!!

Ann, hope that you and T are enjoying your holiday and that you are having some hot and sunny weather.

Doctor has referred me to see someone, as he's not entirely happy about the medication that I am on. So will just have to wiat and see now.

Mo, while we were visiting my cousin, we managed to find a row of cottages near Mold, in Flintshire where one of my grt grandfather's was born......only problem was I couldn't remember which number he lived in. Although it looks a lovely place and area now, I'm not sure it would have been like that in my grt grandfathers day as there was a coal mine near there.

It's a shame that Roly isn't interested enough to take you to see your grandparents grave in Essex. Like Roly, my brother is not at all interested in genealogy, although he does like to hear about some of the things that I have found out.

My paternal grandparents lived in Stoke on Trent for a number of years, where three of their children were born and one died there age three months. Some of the houses in the street they lived in are still standing, but the house they lived in was demolished a good few years ago. There is a road now where the houses used to be.

Well I am going to have a cuppa now, so will speak to you all tomorrow.

Take care everyone.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Mo in Kent Report 6 May 2013 16:13

Just a quick hello to you all.
I hope everyones o.k.
We decided today, to take a trip down to the coast, as the sun was shining and it was a glorious day.
After parking the car, in a car park that at the time was reasonably empty, we walked right along the sea front, watching some stupid idiots, speeding across the water on their jet ski's. How there wasn't an accident I don't really know. The lifeguards went along the water front warning people not to go to far out in the sea.
Suddenly, the sun went behind a cloud, and didn't bother to re-appear. Deciding we had had enough, we got into the car to come home.
Good grief, the traffic still going down to the coast was horrendous, and we were so grateful we were heading in the opposite direction, coming home.
And believe it or not, the sun has not come out again, since we left the coast.
Whats the saying " The sun shines on the righteous" we were happy to get home and have a nice cuppa tes. I did think of our Sallie when I took my first sip, knowing that had she been with me, Sallie, would definately have joined me. lol ;-)
We are both little tea pots on the quiet.
Time to start some dinner now, so bye for now gilrs. Love to all Mo xxx

Good evening to anybody still around.

Yesterday was very wet in the morning, but it cleared up in the afternoon when I was working in the shop. I was very glad about that, as I went to the camera club in the evening. It was bad enough having to keep dipping my headlights for cars coming the other way, but at least there was no rain with it. I got 3 Highly Commendeds for my 4 entries, so quite pleased.

I didnt get to sleep until after 3 a.m. so I dont know how long I can stay awake this morning. I was determined not to take any sleeping pill. At least I am not planning on going anywhere today.

Well done on the commendations Huia. Mind you, I am not really surprised,as you are so good at it.
I hope you managed to stay awake at the hospice shop, and not fall asleep over the counter.
I don't like it when we are travelling when it's raining, and at night it's even worse. The oncoming headlights blind me no end, so it's just as well I don't drive at night really.
I thought we were due to have another...heatwave today...something or someone went wrong, here in the south east it was wet and cold this morning, but it brightened up this afternoon.
Heres hoping eberyone is well. Take care girls, love Mo xxx

Hello my friends,
I have had a p.m from Jean, and the reason we have not heard from her, is that J is poorly at the moment.
Get well soon J, and Jean, keep up the cups of tea and biscuits for him, they are a good medicine dontcha know....well thats what me mum used to say, when she wanted a cuppa, and for me to make it.

I hope everyone is o.k, as it's quiet again on here, and I miss ya's all.
Love and hugs especially for J and Jean. Mo xxx

I have put my 4 photos on my FB page, Mo, so you can judge them for yourself. I have to email them to the club newsletter editor. She prints some of the photos in the newsletter. I tried to send them last night, but hotmail has changed and it was taking a month of Sundays to upload the 3rd photo, so I cancelled that one and sent the other 2. I now have to see if I can send the remaining ones. Why do websites keep changing things for the worse? :-|

Mo in Kent Report 11 May 2013 22:31

Hello ladies,
So sorry for not posting before, but I have spent the last three days at the hospital with Roly.
He had a brain bleed on Thursday, and his blood pressure was sky high, at 222/90,
the hospital has been trying to bring it down gradually day by day.
Luckily today it was at a more comfortable level, and he was more talkative, instead of being uncommunicative and talking gobbledy gook.
Today he had a small blip, when his diabetes level dropped to 3, something it has never done before, but after a glucose drink it went up to the correct level.
On Monday we hope to be able to discuss with the doctor the reason for this and the bleed to have happened.
He had scans on his brain, kidneys, bladder and chest, but we have not as of yet heard the results of them.
Well my lovely friends, I must go to bed now as I am completely shattered.
I hope you are all keeping well, and that Ann will send us a little sunshine again this week, rather than the hailstorms we have suffered here in Kent today.
Good night god bless you all. Love Mo xxx

Hello girls, just a quick update on Roly. The hospital are saying that he had a stroke, but good news, we caught it in time.
He came home this afternoon, and went up to bed at 9.20 p.m, as he is so tired, with getting no sleep in hospital.
The results of his scan came through, and his kidneys and bladder are fine, but he has slightly enlarged heart.
I had a word with the registrar today, and he tells me that Roly is lucky to have the shunt fitted from his last bleed, as it will help should he get fluid on the brain as he did last time, the shunt should get rid of it.
The meds he is on now, should keep his B.P down, and helps his heart, but we have to see our own doctor re his diabetes. His level dropped again at dinner time, down to 3.7, and it should be 4 up to 10 at the highest.
I came to the conclusion that the wards give the patients breakfast, at 7 a.m with a cup of tea, and they get nothing till 12.30 lunch time, not even a mid morning tea or coffee, so it was no wonder his glucose level dropped so drastically.
Thank you all for your kind wishes, and I send you all my love.
Love and hugs Mo xxx

Mo, sorry to hear that Roly has been in hospital suffering from a stroke.... I'm glad that they caught it in time so that it wasn't a lot worse. Let's hope that the medication he is on now will keep his BP down and will also help his heart.

Will Roly have to go to your doctor's to sort out his diabetes or will he make a home visit?

Please give him our get well wishes....we are thinking about you both.

Take care of yourself.
