At long last they have got their finger out, and given you an appointment Jean. At least this way you can plan when you want to have a break away can't you. It does seem stupid making you travel so far, when you have good dental care so close by, but then these things are never straight forward are they.
Sallie, sorry to hear you have been suffering with migraine headaches. They make you feel like poo don't they. I can't believe it has been that long that your house has been on the market Sallie. That estate agent never did anything to warrant their fees did they. And it's just typical that when you decide to do some decoration, or alterations of any kind. up comes someone who wants to view. Will you still sell if they want the house, or have you and Alun decided to stay put now.
Huia, make sure you tell a friend when you go through things in your box room, so that they can send out the search parties if you are missing for any amount of time lol. The hospice must be really proud of the amount of money being raised, and I bet you have donated an awful lot to them love in the past. Well done you Huia.
Well girls it's the weekend again.. Has anyone got anything exciting planned. Hopefully I shall be visiting three of my grandchildren tomorrow, Lilly and her big brother and sister. Lilly and her parents have just come back from 5 days in Clacton, weren't they lucky with the weather. They got woken by heavy rain pitter pattering on the Caravan roof this morning, they were glad that it was time to come back home, now that the weather has broken.
Well my lovelies, I will say bye for now, love to all, Mo xxx

Jean. pleased to hear that your appointment have come through at last....sorry it's not in the hospital you went to the first time. I'm sure D will take you if J doesn't feel up to driving somewhere new to him.
I looked at the pics you sent me and have sent you a e-mail, hope you have got it okay.
Mo, if the couple wants this house and if we can find a bungalow not too far away, we will more than likely move.....although some of our neighbours are not too keen on us moving. Apart from one lot, we have some really lovely neighbours, so we will also be sorry to move from them. We shall just have to wait and see what happens.lol!!
Hope you and Roly enjoy your day with your grandchildren tomorrow, let's hope the weather will be good, well dry at least.
Ann, not sure if you and T have gone away yet, if you have, hope you have a lovely holiay. Take care both of you.
Alun and I went to the garden centre today we bought some plants and also had the usual coffee/tea and scone at their restaurant and coffee shop. We also went in the craft centre there, but I only bought some paper and some greeting labels....didn't have anything new there at all.
Not sure what we are doing tomorrow, we might have to meet my cousin in Stoke on Trent it will be about half way from her place in North Wales. I'm hoping to hear from her when she finishes work tonight, she's a nurse in a hospital in Chester.
I'll speak to you all tomorrow evening.
Take care.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Well done Jean, glad you have got your appointment. A nuisance that it is further to go, but better than waiting any longer. Sallie no we are still here. Not sure if you really want to sell your house or not but good luck with whatever you want.

Mo, on the bottom of an email from the person in charge of volunteers: "Volunteers dont get paid.......not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless." It made me feel great.

Hi Mo, and everyone
Jean ....... so glad to hear that you have finally got that appointment!!!
We had quite the weather change today (Saturday) .............. had to have lights on in rooms, turned the heating back on, windy, and had to wear rain gear
and .............................. everywhere is covered with pink snow :-D
The wind is blowing away all the pink petals from the cherry trees!
The flowers are not lasting as long as they usually do ................ but the streets, grassy boulevards, sidewalks and gardens sure do look pretty all covered in the pink "snow
Not too sure that car owners who leave their cars parked on the street are too happy with the petals sticking on the vehicles though :-D
Our friend, daughter's GodF, was taken into Emergency yesterday ........ he's in a "temporary" bed while they find a palliative care bed for him. :-( :-( :-( :-(
Take care everyone

Oh Sylvia, how sad about your Daughters god father, but it had to come at sometime I suppose. But I wonder why it was classed as an emergency, unless of course he was a real danger to himself or his wife. Bless his wife, she will have a lot of adjusting to do now,in accepting the inevitable. When I first read your post, re the pink snow, I thought you had encountered a strange phenomenom(sp) till I saw that it was blossom. lol Next door to us have beautiful trees, but once the blossom falls it's a nightmare for us as neighbours, as like you were mentioning, our car stays on the drive, and gets covered in it.
Tomorrow is Mammogram day....ooooh painful. But I have been told they have changed the machine now, and it's not quite so brutal. I thought I had passed the age when they stop doing them, but apparantly they now leave it three years between squeezing's, oh well, I would rather be safe than sorry anyday.
Well my friends, it's time I was making some tea, so I will say cheerio for now. Take care one and all, love Mo xxx

I am sorry to hear about your friend Sylvia but I am sure the palliative care will be the best thing for him, where they can look after him.
Mo I think they go on doing a three year mammogram until you are 70 and then you can still request them if you wish (at least in this area.)

Yes Ann, you are correct, three yearly or on request. I must admit, the new machine is much more comfortable, no more feeling like they are squeezing your skin off your torso. My appointment was for 11.30, and much to my surprise, I was in and out by that time.
I hope you are all well, and raring to go. The garden is looking lovely at the moment, apart from the awful bind weed that the garden over the back of us producing. We have bought some of the new Roundup gel, that you just dab on the weeds, and is supposed to kill them off.....well we will wait and see about that. If the the bind weed does die off, I will be so pleased, as all our neighbour seems to grow is weeds anyway. lol
Take care one and all, Mo xxx

Hi, Mo. I bought some of that gel about 6 months ago. It does seem to work, although dont expect instant results. I used it on a grape vine that was coming up in the wrong place, also on some mint. It seems to have killed them.

Oooh thanks Huia, i'm glad that the gel will work, eventually. I am going to get the weed killer, that can be diluted in water, and spray it underneath the fence panels where our gardens meet at the back as well. The woman over the back, only gets someone to come and clear the weeds once a year, and then they have a big bon fire to burn them. Good grief the smell and smoke is awful, but we daren't complain to much, or she would never de-weed at all. Doctors for me at five p.m, so I will let you know who comes out the winner of last weeks appointment error, myself or the doctors receptionist, lol At least I wll get the official results of my scan then as well. Bye for now my lovelies. Mo xxx

Hope all went well at the doctors for you, that you came out on top about last week's appointment and that the results of your scan were nothing to worry about. I am thinking about you, and hoping and praying all is well.
I have an apponitment with the doctor tomorrow morning at 10-30, so shall be glad when that is out of the way. My friend and I are then going to do some shopping and then have some lunch out, for a change.

Hi Sallie, Sorry I didn't manage to get back on last night, to give the results about my scan. Thank goodness everything is fine, and the outcome of the pain, is after all, to do with my IBS. She has given me tablets to shift the wind pains, that are rustling up under my rib cage. To be honest, thats what I thought was wrong in the first place, but the doctor was thinking otherwise. Still it's better to have had it all checked out, that alone has put my mind at rest. I will p.m you love. I hope everyone is well. Love to you all Mo xxx

Hi Mo, only just got managed to get on here, it's been a busy day with one thing and another.
Glad it all went well at the the doctor's yesterday, at least you now know that it was to do with your IBS.
Alun and I are going over to my cousin's in North Wales tomorrow, we are only going for the day, she is borrowing our carpet cleaner and steam cleaner so that she can leave the house nice and clean when her and her daughter will move out. Looking forward to seeing them both, as haven't seen them since before Christmas.
I hope all our friends on here are all alright.
Will speak to you on Friday. Take care everyone.

Hello girls,
Had a lovely time in N. Wales with my cousin and her daughter. We had some beautiful weather so was able to go out for a run out in the car. I wanted to see where one of my grt grandfather's was born, strange that he came from a few miles from where my cousin is living at the moment.
Sylvia, so sorry to hear about your friend. It is good that he went quietly and peacefully. I know that he will be sadly missed by all his family and friend. May he rest in peace.
Jean, hope you are alright, we haven't heard from you for a while.
Hope our other friends are on here are all okay.
Speak to you all tomorrow.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hi Mo, and everyone
Thank you all for your condolences xxx
Yes ..... a great blessing that R's death was peaceful, that he didn't suffer too much ......... and he is out of pain.
I phoned his wife this evening ............... and she is feeling a lot of relief at knowing what the situation is, and no longer afraid of "what is going to happen next".
We have got some glorious weather, right through to next Tuesday, at least!
The forecasters are even talking of possible record high temperatures :-D :-D
Sallie .................. glad that you had a lovely time in Wales
Take care everyone

Sylvia, apparantly we are due for a heat wave on Monday.....lol we will believe it when we feel it. One can never rely on our weather forecasters, they have made so many mistakes in the past, so probably like most folk in the U.K, we take each day as it comes. We were going to go down to Hastings tomorrow, but Roly read in the local paper yesterday, that hundreds of bikers would be descending there. Parking is a nightmare at the best of times, so we wont be venturing that way, thats for sure.
It's good to hear that you had a nice time in Wales Sallie. There are times when I feel I would like to visit my grandparents graves, in Essex. Shelly from the friendlies thread, sent me a couple of photo's she had taken of them for me. But it's hard for me to get Roly to understand my interest in geneology, so there is no way he would want to go and visit their graves. Most of his family were all cremated, so he has no interest. And the houses that the family lived in, in one road, have all been demolished, and a new housing estate built on the site. What a shame that progress can end an era that is of interest to me.
Well my friends, I will say bye for now. Love and hugs to you all. Mo xxx
