Good morning
It’s sunny here this morning and it is supposed to stay dry today though I think it might be quite cold. We desperately need to do some gardening but I don’t want to risk more problems with my back or OH’s neck so that will have to wait a bit longer.
I googled the daydreamer rope Ann. It’s very pretty. What colours are you using?
We haven’t got anything much planned for today, just a bit of supermarket shopping so if we both feel OK later I might suggest a garden centre trip. Even a visit to the little nearby one would get us out of the house for an hour.
Have a good day everyone whatever you are doing.

Good morning Mel and Vera There was a frost this morning but the sun is shining and it is a beautiful day out there, would be good for a walk if either of us had any energy. OH is still not 100%, his tum seems ok and he had a good nights sleep but his energy level is low. My energy level is low I think primarily because of the effects of the Aldara cream which can make you feel fluey' He wants coffee now, seems like we have only just had breakfast but we were up late and showers and hair wash take ages for me with one arm.
Ann love the look of the bracelet, as Vera said what colours are you using.
Pleased the aches and pains are improving Vera.

I think one of my Robin's is on the way out. He keeps going to sleep by the back door and he's all fluffed up. He even tried to come indoors when I fed him he only eats about one or two worms and then just sits there and goes to sleep. I have taken a few pics and will send them. Oh went out and picked him up and told me to put some tissues in a big plastic pot and he put him in there but he just came out again.

He doesn't look perky does he. Maybe he is just feeling weary. Best leave him Mel as long as there are no cats around. He looks an older bird.

Afternoon all, Yws I wondered about ROBBIE he doesn't look very perky, All you can do Mel ons try to keep him warm fed and watered. Good luck.
I woke at 3.00 am with gripping stomach pains, whatever try to eat or drink it goes straight through me. Ros was hoping we would go out to eat, but somehow I don't think we will.
Simon rang this morning on his way back from a couple of days in Liverpool, both him and Sally loved it, and the people. He went a saw the new Aircraft Carrier. It can hold FOURTY PLANES. has a runway the size of FOUR football pitches in length. They are both looking forward to next weekend. He is going into hospital on Tuesday to have his KNEE operation, Sally said she is fit enough to drive.
Ros has gone to get the scripts, and my suit from the cleaners, and a present for Martines OH as he is 70 tomorrow.
Beautiful day out there today. I wish I felt well enough to go for a walk, but with the RUNS I'm better off in doors.
Glad to see everyone is showing signs of improvement, Carry on and get better. xxx
Going to try to get a few zzzz. Take care all, be back soon. xxx

Afternoon all,
Lovely bright sunny day here but a bit on the chilly side ,there was quite a sharp frost first thing .
Mel poor little Robbie he is all fluffed up ,perhaps he's flown into a window or has he been like that for a while.
AnnG you said the side effects with you cream can make you feel a bit off ,if OH is rubbing your cream in for you could it be that he's absorbing the cream in on his hands and it making him feel off ,he's probably washing his hands after but he still might be absorbing some ,just a thought .
Oh Frank what have you been eating to upset your tummy ? i'd give eating out a miss today you don't want to get caught out and you probably won't feel like eating any way ,hope you feel better soon .
Vera a trip out to a garden centre sounds better than trying to do a bit of gardening and pulling your back again .
Oh i can now see a black old cloud out the front ,i haven't hung any washing out as Colin still hasn't mended the line were it pulled out from the wall when we had that strong wind.

Afternoon all
Bright and sunny here today, I've just been watching the birds flying in and out of the conifers over the back, I think they maybe making nests.
I love the daydreamer rope Ann, what colours are you using, they reminded me of a bracelet I had as a child. Mine was pale pink and blue.
I'm trying to delete some recordings I've seen on my set top box, but it keeps turning itself off, I think it might be on it's way out so I might have to replace it soon. I hope it keeps going for now though as I have lots of programmes on there I'd like to watch. Sky has been playing up to, it keeps taking programmes off the planner that I've put to record, but only seems to be taking the ones off channel 5......very strange. I'm checking it daily now just to make sure the programmes are still there to be recorded.
I was looking at our garden this morning Vera and thought it could do with a good sort out, the grass desperately needs cutting, but I think it might be to wet. OH is off over the weekend so if it doesn't rain again and he thinks it's dry enough he'll probably give it it's first cut of the year, that will make the garden look a bit better. Good idea not to do yours just now until you and your OH's back and neck are better, like you said you don't want to make it sore again.
Oh the poor Robin Mel, I hope he's okay now, maybe he got to cold or needs a bit more food, you are so kind looking after him. He looks very fluffy, is he a young bird? I'd of thought it was to early for babies, but he does look that way doesn't he?
Sorry to hear you have an upset tum Frank, I hope it clears soon. Good idea not to go out to eat today.

OH is still not right, he has very little energy and, more worrying for him as he loves his food, he is not eating much. Only managed a one slice sandwich lunch time when he has been known to eat four slices. His tum seems to be ok now so I suppose it is just time.
Mandy I did wonder but he is very good at washing his hands afterwards, I think it is a bit too severe to be that. Will keep an eye on it though.
Frank, best not to eat anything and let your tum settle down again.
gill the birds seem to be very active here although no signs of nesting as yet. And it is definitely too wet to get out in the garden. Supposed to be more rain tomorrow as well.

We've had sun spells and showers today but it been quite bright but the wind is sooooo very bitter.
Oh has taken the whole morning and after lunch to get a zip on the older gazebo side. Done it in the end after lunch but I had to thread two needles for him so he could sew it back up where he took the zip off. Why he did'nt just put the old one back on when he realised there was no zip on the new one I don't know but thats men for you. Why do something simple when you can spend dasy doing it their way.
Sorry to hear you have an upset tum Frank. Have you got any immodium? Hows Biggles? being good I hope.
Gill its only the blue tits here that have been poking around in the nest boxes and I don't think any of the others have started building yet its so windy and wet and cold here.
The Robin has been a bit off colour for a while and the others have fought with him over the mealworms from time to time. Once they were rolling around on the patio when I went out there. I think he is an old one and don't think he has a mate. I have had 6 Robins down under the bird feeder this week. When I try to get a picture of them all together they fly into the box hedge.
AnnG would it not be better if oh used those throw away gloves when he puts your cream on. I think I would be inclined to do that if it does give you side effects. If he has to do a lot for you then it must be on his finger/s for quite a while and be absorbed into his skin. Are the stitches still prickling? not long now till the 11th when you have them out.
I hav'nt had a chance to do any clay work today but I am going to wash up the lunch things now and make a cuppa and then I may disappear into the lounge for a little while.
O hav'nt seen Robby this afternoon at all.

AnnG he would only need the one glove as he could wash it each time ,are gloves getting short then ? Haven't i seen those throwaway gloves in the petrol station, you use then when filling up , although i think they are a thicker plastic type of glove . I'e got a box of gloves i got from Makro a while ago i use them when i scrap spuds and do any mucky jobs ,if you want me to send you a couple in the post i can if you can't get them AnnG.
It seems really light out tonight the evenings are really pulling out.

Sorry to hear you have had a gippy tum Frank. It seems to be one thing after the other for you at the moment. Try and drink plenty of water if you can. It will help to flush out any nasties if it is a bug you have picked up. I hope you are feeling a bit better now.
Poor Robbie doesn’t look a happy bird at the moment Mel. He’s lucky he’s picked your place to live in. You do look after your wildlife well. If he is near the end of his life I hope it’s gentle and quick for him. I’m glad your OH got your gazebo sorted but, like you say, why do men always do things in the most complicated way? Yesterday I was putting a new cover on the ironing board and my OH decided that I might hurt my back and he would do it for me. After practically dismantling the board and fiddling around for ages he did the job that I would have done in 5 minutes.
I hope our Jane is feeling OK today.
I’m sorry your OH is still not up to par AnnG. I wonder if he has picked up a slight virus of some sort. They can make you feel off-colour without anything specific. If you do decide it might be him absorbing your cream and want to get disposable gloves, Lakeland have them in their shops and online. I just had a quick check online and they have them in stock. I use them for handling raw chicken or things like beetroot that colour your fingers.
I suggested to OH that we go to a garden centre today and he said we’d go to his favourite, about 15 miles from us, and would have a cooked meal there. There is a way there using main A roads all the way but it takes a bit longer and is boring so we usually go cross country through the minor roads and lanes. Well, what a drive it turned out to be. Nearly every road we tried to go down had a “Road Closed Ahead” sign up but no signed diversion so we had to make some guesses. At one point all we knew was that we were in a narrow lane somewhere in Essex :-S. It took us twice as long as usual to get there and when we arrived everyone had had the same idea - it was packed. We found a table in the restaurant. I had already decided I was going to have their ham, egg and chips as they carve the ham from a big gammon that has been cooked there, you get loads and it is delicious. I was thwarted there. They’ve changed the menu; lots of pasta dishes but I don’t get on well with pasta, and some vegan type meals like spicy bean burger. There were only a couple of traditional meals, calves liver which OH had and fish and chips which I chose. I was a bit dubious in case the fish batter was greasy but it was very nice, thin and crispy. My meal came with a rocket salad and mushy or garden peas. I particularly told them no peas but, of course, it came with a big helping of garden peas, which I didn't eat so they would have been thrown away. I was so cross because I hate unnecessary waste. Anyway after lunch we had a look round and bought a wooden half barrel to replace one that’s falling to bits, several plant supports that I hope will stop my tall salvias from flopping, a couple of birthday cards and a pot of tête-à-tête daffs for £1.50.
On the way back we stopped off at Sainsbury’s and I couldn’t believe how bare the shelves were. I had made a list and two of the things were bread flour and toilet rolls. There were only a couple of bags of flour left and only 2 packs of toilet rolls. I am sure people are panic buying now and I must admit I was tempted to take the lot “just in case” but that seemed very unfair so I just took 1 bag of flour and 1 pack of toilet rolls as on my list.
While we were there we met a couple of friends and the husband had just come from the hospital where he was told that he has to give up driving immediately. As you can imagine he was quite upset so we spent a long time chatting with them. We eventually got home, unpacked the shopping and had a cuppa. At least now we have had a proper meal out I haven’t got to cook tonight. The remains of yesterday’s beef casserole has been in the fridge so should be alright for tomorrow as long as I make sure it is thoroughly reheated.
I’ve gone rambling on again about nothing very much haven’t I? I’d better stop as I am sure you are dropping with boredom.

Evening All,
It's stayed sunny but chilly here all day and with no rain although some was expected.
Your little Robin doesn't look well Mel. It's how my canaries used to look when they weren't well. Sadly little birds need to eat regularly or we soon lose them. If he's old there's not much you can do for the poor little chap. That was a good idea to press the leaves for the realistic effect in your clay.
It was a friend that started us on the daydreamer ropes and I think we've all made at least one now! The one I'm making at the moment has matt black, white, two different greys and opaque matt clear beads. The tiny beads are silver. I wear a lot of black and grey this time of the year and thought it would be something to wear that matched, I've found a matching flat bracelet pattern as well now so I'm hoping there will be enough beads left to make that as well.
I've set up on-line shopping with Sainsbury's this afternoon as a precaution so it's ready to use should we both become ill with this virus. You don't want to be faffing about trying to sort it once you become ill.
Oh Frank I hope you have stayed near your white friend today, just in case. Hopefully you are ok again now though. That aircraft carrier sounds absolutely massive! Good luck to Simon with his knee operation next week.
AnnG it is a coincidence your OH has not felt right since he has been touching your cream and it might be having some effect on him as the others say.I bet you will be glad to be rid of those stitches now.
We've had a bit of trouble with Sky lately Gill and it saying there was no signal. I think it was to do with those wind storms we had in our case. Yes our garden is the same too and looking quite weedy in places and the shrubs need tidying and the trellis that blew down needs replacing. It can wait while it's so chilly though.
OH had done nothing more about getting his car booked in by this morning and was trotting back to bed with a COT and the paper as I left. Of course because I had made one attempt to contact the garage for him he assumed I'd taken over sorting it for him! Men! So I just mentioned that if the clutch pedal was sticking because the cable was fraying and it broke he would be stuck and not going anywhere till it was fixed. I saw his eyes widen at that, probably thinking of his footie matches and the next minute he was up and following me in the shower and has got his car booked in for next Thursday now. ;-) ;-)

I don’t really think that it is reaction to the cream, he has done it before. The amount of cream is minute and needs to be rubbed in and left on, which Is when it gets into your body. The amount that remains on his finger is minute and is washed off thoroughly so can’t be absorbed. He was not impressed by the glove suggestion anyway no cream Saturday and Sunday so we will see. He did eat pasta and mince sort of bolognese sauce this evening although half the size of his normal meal.
Vera at least they had fish and chips so you were ok for a meal. Yes it could well be a mild virus I suppose, time will tell. He does tend to be a bit of a baby when not well, looks for sympathy, sadly I am not a good nurse with minor illnesses especially when I feel under par with sore arm and now sore back and still running around preparing meals that are likely to be wasted. Annx good he got the car organised then. Even if to get to football.

Good morning
I hope you all slept well. I had a lousy night. It’s strange but when I was in so much pain with my back I slept quite well, now I am feeling much better I’m back to being awake half the night.
It’s sunny here again today but I haven’t ventured outside yet to see how cold it is. We’ll probably go down town again for our Saturday coffee with friends but don’t have anything else planned. I wonder how long we will be able to continue our twice a week market day coffees as we meet in Wetherspoons and it does get very busy. It might not be long before we need to avoid these more crowded places.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

Morning Vera and all,
While you have nice sunshsine we have another very grey day but it is dry here at the moment.
Egg delivery this morning and go and get the paper down the shop. I did'nt get it last week and really missed the tv paper inside as I don't get on with the guide on the tv with the remote. Thats when I get a chance to use the remote. The papers never got to the shop so we could'nt even pick them up on Monday.
Where is our spring weather thats what I want to know? We need some sunshine to cheer us all up and without that bitter wind too.
If its not too windy I do need to clean the big girls out. Well I su ppose we will see what the day brings.
Have a good one whatever you are doing.

Good morning from grey Glos. OH sounds brighter today but is developing a cold sore. He was surprised I wasn't, he has always suffered with them so if his immunity is low that is where it strikes. Luckily he has wacked on the zovirx which should calm it down.
Vera we have already reluctantly stopped going to Wetherspoons because it gets too crowded to avoid close contact. Is there anywhere else you could meet with more space?
Hopefully we can pop to local Tesco and see what is left to buy. Beginning to know what my parents felt like during the war!
