Afternoon all I have had a couple of busy days.Shopping and Cinema. Ann I didn’t really enjoy Emma.I thought it was slow to start and I think I would have preferred it if it had not been ‘silly’ I did enjoy the fabulous scenery though .Do you know where it was filmed? You will be exhausted now after still being awake at that ungodly hour!Hope you get a better night tonight.
Mel I hope you enjoy making more things with your new type of clay.
Sorry to see you have been unwell Gill. it’s not surprising really with all that is going on and having to get used to being on your own all day now OH is working.Has he settled into the job now.Hr did this kind of work before didn’t he so hopefully he will get on fine. How is the wrist today AnnG? Not too painful? Men Vera are infuriating at times when they refuse to try something that you know will help ease pain or discomfort.Mine is just the same . I hope you manage to get your ‘late ‘ clonoscopy appointment sorted soon. It is bad that you have not been contacted.
Oh dear Mandy.I can just picture the mess the spilled pot of cream made. Max must have thought it was Xmas lol. Hope he didn’t get an upset tum .
So Ros has a lovely new dress for the party Frank. How about you have you treated yourself to something new too?
Time for me to go and sort dinner. It has rained all blooming day here.

Hi Jane you have to do all the things you enjoy in the good times between treatment so don’t worry about us. Sounds like you are feeling ok at the moment. I have taken N the dressing off today and plastered it with Vaseline, new jar as told. It is still sore but a bit easier with the dressing off.
It has rained here all day too, really miserable but we had a lot to do. This morning was the Tesco she and this afternoon was our photography meeting.
Cooked liver and bacon and onions with jacket pots and sweet corn for dinner. Very nice it was too.
Gill if you look in hope you are feeling better. Looking forward to how your OH has got on with the job.
Mel hope you have fun with the new clay look forward to seeing what you do with it.
Annx hope you sleep better tonight.
Where did the week go Saturday tomorrow again already.? :-D

Its still pouring with rain here and the wind is still very strong. The chickens look like they are mud wrestling as they are paddling about in two inches of sloshy mud. They even splashed it up my trousers when I went in to corn them tonight.
Jane its lovely to see you posting and I hpe you are now feeling better. Wehn is the next lot of chemo? It seems to put you into dizzy mode and I hope you get the results of the scan soon. Horrid having to wait for results. Have a lovely weekend.
Anng I can't believe its Friday again. I have been thinking today is Thursday for some reason.
I wish this weather would change and we could have some sunshine to brighten our days.

Good morning Another grey, wet, dreary day. How much more rain can there be up there? Yesterday afternoon and evening my back felt so much better that I thought I might be cancelling my doctor’s appointment on Monday, but this morning it’s quite painful again. OH is sitting bolt upright on a hard chair trying to keep his head still, so we look a sorry pair. We won’t be going to town for our usual Saturday coffee.
I hope you are all feeling OK. Anyone doing anything interesting today?

Morning Vera and all,
WE have sunshine clouds and hail showers this morning. There is blue sky with BIG white clouds then it turns grey and we have hailstones and then out comes the sun again.
I do hope both yourself and oh can feel better soon Vera theres nothing worse than backache or a stiff neck. I used to get those a lot at one time but can't say I have had one recently. Take it easy today the pair of you.
Nothing interesting happening here just the old norm egg delivery and the shop for the paper. The only time we go out together is when I take him to the doctors or the hospital. A pain really but I must ask Di to come to the garden center with me so perhaps we can have a day out with a good mouch about. Em did say she would take me to a garden center I hav'nt been too so thats something to look forward to.
Hope you all had a good nights sleep again and hope we hear from Frank today.

Mandy Vasaline is a good healer. If I get a split on my fingers or back of my hand Vasaline it=s the only thing that will heal it quickly. You can even buy Vasaline plasters. I think Frank had some when he cut the end of his finger that time.
The gummy bears were good were'nt they. I could make a mould for those and I gave the boys next door gummy bears last week. I had bought them for Christmas to put in those little cones I made but put jelly beans in instead. I bet there's none left this week as Sam dos'nt eat chocolate I tend to give them jelly babies or fruit gums things I know Sam will also eat. George will eat all sweets. I did wonder about a jelly baby? You said Katie liked the pendant with the little mushrooms on. Did any of the other girls like that one too?

Poor you Frank, toothache is horrible. I hope the painkillers help. Can you get an emergency dental appointment? It’s usually possible to get seen if you are in pain.
Now, why do you think your posts are uninteresting? They are as interesting as the other posts; the rest of us mostly write about our aches and pains or our trips to the shop. It’s just chatting with friends. I enjoy hearing from you and miss you when you don’t post so please come back to the thread soon <3

Afternoon All Oh Frank I am sorry you have such a painful toothache. Not good at a weekend .Have you got any oil of cloves? My sister swears by that for toothache.Dont stay away too long please <3 Vera I can just picture the pair of you . It did make me smile even though it is not a laughing matter.Good job you are keeping your appointment. The sun is shining here and I have actually hung a few bits of washing out.it is blowing nicely so should be dry really soon. I have just got a Venison Casserole on to cook.It doesn’t have smell goodThere is 500 mls of red wine in it and the same amount of my own chicken stock .It is for tomorrow when Hannah and Gareth will be here.Madam says she won’t have the Venison so I have a chicken dish for her.
I am using Vaseline in the corner of my mouth as both sides have split :-S I think it is yet another effect of the chemo.Mandy my next round is this Tuesday and then my 6th and last one on the 24th March.i hope my scan results will be ready this Monday when I see the Consultant but am not sure it will be. Having the chemo itself is fine it’s just the dread of feeling so bad for so long afterwards.Always hits me from day 5 post treatment.
This sunshine is just so nice.I know it’s not going to last though. CG Gris has just been down the garden and picked some Daffs.Hope they haven’t got lots of those little black big things in the trumpets.
Probably be back later.I do hope we will hear from Gill today

Afternoon all
I'm so sorry I haven't been online lately, my tum is finally better along with the sickness, which has now gone, I put it down to not heating up some chicken properly, a lesson learnt there, I wouldn't mind but I know better. I've still got a headache but I think the more I drink the easier that'll be. OH is enjoying his new job although he's very tired which is to be expected with being out of work for so long, he starts his night shifts the week after next and to start with it's one on one off, so I'm not sure how he's going to cope with that. Sandra is very busy so I haven't heard from her for a while, I think she might ring me today as she's just text me,saying she's out, so maybe she'll ring me when she gets back. I hope she does as I really miss her.
I'm going to take a painkiller then check my bank account as I got a scam call the other day, I hung up but I've spoken with mum today and she said she had the same call and they took some money out of her bank, so I want to check my account. Mum gave me a couple of numbers for the bank, we bank at the same place, so if anything has been taken out I'll ring them on Monday. Apparently lots of people have had the same scam done on them.
I'll catch up with the posts after I've checked my account. I hope nothing has been taken out, I really don't need that right now. BBL

Just checked my account and thankfully nothing has been taken out. The painkillers are starting to kick in, so my headache's almost gone.
I'll catch up with the posts now. Sandra is going to try and ring me before 5pm if she can, so that's something to look forward to, if she doesn't forget again like last time. At least if she does forget it's because she's having fun, which is good. There is so much more for her to do where she is now, so it sounds like she's happy, which gives me peace of mind.

Sorry to hear about your friend AnnG, it's so sad when something like that happens. Hope you haven't had any side effects from your cream and you're healing well from your op, just the BCC to be removed now then hopefully everything will be over. We had a few flurries of snow earlier but it only lasted a few seconds, still, it was nice to see and reminded me of Sandra. The sun is out now but it's quite windy and very cold. We don't have window cleaners come to us as OH prefers to do the windows himself. We don't have a conservatory so it doesn't take him long to clean them.
I hope your niece is okay Jane with all the floods, it must be so disheartening to have it happen over and over again. I hope your scan results are good and everything has gone now, I'm really hoping that's the case for you, you deserve some good news.
Pleased to see you can have your tooth sorted Vera, not long to wait now, pity you had to wait though. I hope you and your hubby are now pain free.
Oh dear Mandy spilling the cream, at least you managed to clean it all up, so it won't smell now. I see Max was trying to help with the cleaning by trying to lap it all up lol :-)
Sandra's on the phone bbl

Glad your feeling better now Gill and good Sandra is keeping in touch. What has she been up to in Leeds? Does she tell you where she has been and what she's done?
Busy with your cooking again Jane I see. Nice dinner for tomorrow then when you see Hannah and Gareth. So not much more treatment to go through then. I hope the results are good and you get them when you see the consultant on Monday.
Frank we always like to read your posts and they are definately not uninteresting. We like to hear what Ros has been up and yourself. Sorry you have such a bad toothache and hope you feel better soon and come back on the thread. We all miss you when you have time off. Very much.
I went outside to feed the birds and Robby was waiting at the gate for a worm so I threw him one and it bounced right in front of him and straight in his beak. It did make me laugh and I have never managed that before.
Oh has the telly blaring out and is watching the back of his eyelidswhile sitting in his chair. I can hear a small snore ever now and then.

Good afternoon all. We went in to town on the bus, ducking every time somebody coughed.or sneezed but most people were ok. I needed to pay my Debenhams bill which was under £2 but if I didn't pay it it would still accrue interest. The weather here is more like April, sun then a shower then more sun. but a bitterly cold and stron wind.
Went to M&S and bought a couple of long sleeved T shirts Two for £15 and I had a £5 voucher so that was a good buy, then in to M&Co where I bought a reduced sweater £17 down to £5.99. OH was off visiting the 'little man' he goes to in the market for all sorts of electrical bits and bobs. We had lunch in Wetherspoons and came home. All in the dry except when we got off the bus in Gloucester when it chucked it down, we had about 5 minutes walk in the rain to Debs and our cioats were soaked. soon dried though
Slept okish last night but arm woke me a few times. As it is healing it is starting to itch as well. I have taken the dressing off now. Mandy I think they have been using vaseline for at least 4 years probably longer. It is to allow the wound to heal without a dressing protecting it from infection (hopefully. It also helps to soften the scar after the stitches have been removed. and put on before a shower it is waterproof.
Frank your posts are no more boring than the rest of ours. We are a nosy lot and interested in what we are each doing, it is just a general chat thread. I like hearing about your and Ros's lives and what you are doing. So don't stay away too long.. Hopefully when you are feeling down we can cheer you up. Oh poor you with toothache, I hope the painkillers worked. Will you see the dentist on Monday?
Jane Mmm!! I can smell that cassserole from here. I don't cook venison as OH doesn't really like it but our late son in law used to cook it and I like it. so I shall be over. The next lot of treatment soon comes round doesn't it? I suppose it seems quick because of the bit in the middle when you suffer the after effects.
Vera I hope that the aches and pains ease for you both soon. At least you had no pressing need to go out but I hope that doesn't mean you have been doing housework.
Mel have you been baking teddy bears this afternoon or were you too busy with other things.
Annx Hope you had a good sleep last night. The little tots I planted on which are in a heater in the conservatory are doing really well, they are quite big now. I think if you bought some and put them in pots on a south facing windowsill if you have one, they would grow. Maybe just the colour that you want. It is true that some of the colours do sell out early, which is why I buy mine when I see the ones I want.
gill I am pleased that you are feeling better. Oh yes re-heated chicken if not boiling hot is not a good idea. did your OH have any and if so was he OK. Our son in law had a couple of days with food poisening in Lanzarote last week. surprising as normally the food there is very good. He thought at first it was a pizza he had but going back 24 hours he had a chicken curry which I think was more likely the culprit.
It is good that you seem more accepting now with the situation regarding Sandra, especially if she is being taken out and about and sounds happy. You just have to find a way now of getting yourself over your anxiety so that you can enjoy your life. Pleased to hear that your OH is enjoying his new job.

Please stay on here Frank, I don't have much to talk about now OH's at work and Sandra doesn't live here anymore, so you're not on your own. It's just nice to chat with friends, after all that's what this thread is all about.....friends <3 <3 I hope you can see a dentist quickly, if you are in pain they will see you straight away on an emergency appointment, so it's worth giving them a call rather than leaving it.
It's nice you can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel now Jane where your treatment is concerned. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good news, I'm sure it'll be as good, if not better than your last scan and that was really good news. Keep your chin up, not long to go now, just keep thinking each day is a day closer to the end of your treatment. <3 <3
I bet you couldn't do that again Mel, Robby must think you're brilliant as he didn't have to move to get the worm lol. Yes Sandra tells me all the fun things she's been doing, although she seems to be in doors more now watching TV, which is pretty much what she was doing here, so them taking her out didn't last long did it? She seems happy enough though, so that's good. When they did take her out they took her ten pin bowling and to the pictures, shopping and to feed the ducks which she enjoyed, they also took her to Tropical World but she ended up feeling sick because she had only had a chocolate bar all day. As far as I know they feed her properly now, well, I hope so anyway.
Thankfully OH didn't have any of the chicken AnnG, can you imagine him having to take time off work through illness after only being there a day. He was lucky, although I felt like death warmed up with no one here to help, I found I was sleeping at different times during the day and night I was so exhausted, but thankfully I'm okay now and even slept in till around 11.30 this morning, I feel much better for it though. The Vaseline is a good idea, I didn't know you could use it either. I see you have found some more bargains on your shopping trip.
Sandra was running herself a bath when we spoke earlier she said she would ring me back when she's out and dressed, so I'd better go and make myself a cuppa as she'll be ringing me again soon.
