No Mandy that is sunday.

Annx, nice to get your craft room sorted and tidy. No matter how many boxes and drawer sets I get I still have stuff that won'r go in anything and is stacked on the sofa bed next to me! Thank you for the lovely card which arrived this morning.
Although it was dry until 12 it is pouring now.

Frank Report 19 Dec 2019 15:36

Hi again, The shakes have gone now, so I am feeling a bit happier. But will ring Dr in the morning if I don't feel right. Then I will make an appointment in the new year for a thorough CHECK UP.

We have had the downpour also. Ros said it was difficult to see driving back from town, with all the spray from other vehicles and the rain

Would you believe, we are going away Monday, but STILL Ros has called in to Tesco for more bits of festive nibbles. I expect she will take anything that's over, down to Devon. With Jan and Conrad going shopping before we get there, there are bound to be duplicates of things.

Ros has to pick Valerie B up at 6.15 this evening. The concert starts at 7,00 pm, not sure what time it finishes, but I will try to stay up, to see how it went.

No word from Jane today, so I hope she is well. love to you my sweet.

Mandy I just don't understand why you are not getting my E CARD. You haven't changed your Email address, have you. ?? I will send it again in a while.

I've got the GAMMON in the oven, cooking. It can then cool down, and I will wrap it up and put it in the Fridge in the garage. Must remember to take it out when we go on Monday/ lol lol

Ann thank you for your card it came just after I posted ,it was a late post delivery today .
The breakfast sounds good value ,sounds as if you got sorted out with the chair with OH picking the first one he tried ,those storage boxes on wheels are good as you can really fill them and don't have to worry how heavy they are as you don't have to lift them ,I have one for the children with books and toys in we just push it in the cupboard under the stairs

Frank my email address is the same ,no ecard yet but I have just got all the funnies you sent before again :-D

Been pouring here most of the day but it just eased off a bit so I went and did the chickens.

Ann thanks for your card which arrived today and I love the big robin on it. You all know I like to have a lot of Robin cards so thanks. Sandra's robin card is just above my desk and I have 5 Robin ones now. I really miss my old Robin who used to come in the kitchen and peck up all the crumbs on the floor. I used to have a picture of him taken years ago sitting on top of oh's wellies in the kitchen. My new Robin has been in a couple of times but panics and messes everywhere.

Still not found it but I have mixed my Christmas cake up today to bake tomorrow so thats another job out of the way. I am using Lidl's mixed fruit soaked in brandy this year so I hope it turns out ok.

I wrote this ages ago and forgot to post it so here it is!!

I got a funny but no ecard. Thought the funny was good so copied and pasted it to oh but forgot he is setting up the new pc so he would'nt have had it yet.

Still not found it and I have had all the stuff out from the bottom of my double wardrobe.

I have a feeling I hid something and thought to mself " I'll never remember where that is". and sure enough I hav'nt. Blast blast blast :-| :-| :-| :-P :-P :-P

Afternoon all

Glad the shakes have eased up Frank but a good idea to have a word with the doctor. He or she might be able to reassure you. I hope Ros’s concert goes well tonight. No ecard for me either, though I have received the funnies.

Mandy, I did have a smile at Lewis’s man perfume. I had to tell OH and it reminded us of the time our son was about Lewis’s age and made a Christmas list which included “a plant in a pot”.

Thanks for the pictures of the hog Mel. Poor thing looked a bit frost bitten. I wonder why he wasn’t tucked up in his bed somewhere..

Ann, that woman at the carvery was very rude. I hate anything like that, it just seems so unnecessary but she did apologise and I think that takes a bit of courage. Your Ikea breakfast sounds good and not much more expensive than the two coffees we had when we were out.

I stopped at this point as a Tesco delivery arrived. It seems to have taken me ages to sort it all out and get it put away.

Today I had a card and letter from my cousin in Brisbane. She asked if we could send her some rain. I wish I could as I’m getting fed up with it now. It was dry this morning but has rained all afternoon again. Much more of this and I’ll be growing webbed feet ;-)

Well, it’s getting on for 6.30 so I’d better go and sort out some food or we’ll be eating at bedtime.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 19 Dec 2019 19:04

Webbed feet here too vera.

Pleased our Frank is feeling a bit better after his shakes this morning. Still go and see the doc before coming down here for Christmas though Frank its better to be safe than sorry. I thought Conrad was going to take you to Devon?

Not doing dinner as such tonight as we are having nice sausage snadwiches. Think I may have made a new word there. I hav'nt changed it as I like it. It may stick!!!!!! if I feel in a silly mood.

Still no Ecard Frank.

Gill have you had any post today????????????????

AnninGlos Report 19 Dec 2019 20:40

On the other hand Frank I have received the ecard three times :-D

It is a long time since we had an Ikea breakfast but they have always been good value.yours sounded good.
That woman was rude but well done to standing up to her I am terribly non Confrontational so would have ignored her. Brave of her to apologise.

Mel are you sure you didn’t wrap it and put it with the other wrapped presents, is it very big?

Thanks for the Christmas cards Mandy and Ann, they are lovely.

Yes, we've had post today Mel, but nothing off you, did you send something?

I checked my old email account and your e-card was there Frank, thank you it was lovely. I couldn't remember the password at first for the account and nearly got locked out. The reason I changed email address is because I was having problems with my old one, so I'm still only using my new email. I don't want to chance having problems with my laptop again if I start using my old address again

Been at mum's most of the day then when we came home I fell asleep on the sofa, Iv'e not been sleeping very well for the past few weeks, so I was obviously in need of some extra sleep today.

Morning all,

Dull wet and dreary here this morning inside and out. Its so dark we have to have the lights on.

Must go to the shop today and see if they have a ring left for Em as I don't feel like making another one because my right thumb has split open on the corner of the nail and it was very sore yesterday. I kept putting vasaline on it.

Did you all sleep well last night?? I had a dream again about huge wasp grubs in the stables but they were'nt our stables. A man came and sprayed them to kill them. We had a horse in one of the stables with a long chain hanging from its head collar and because the stable had a glass wall I had to hook the end of the chain over a nail to stop it from getting to the window as it had been know to walk through glass. Then the man over the woods at the back started his chain saw up and it woke me up at 8.25am.

Gillx Report 20 Dec 2019 11:23

Morning Mel, morning all

Same damp weather as you here Mel.

You've been having some weird dreams lately haven't you Mel? I had a nightmare the other week but I put that down to not being well, I've always been the same and have bad dreams if I'm ill or stressed over something. Luckily it was only one, which was enough I think.

I've woken up with a bit of a sore throat but think it's down to OH's painting, he also used some mould remover which is quite powerful and even though I opened the windows and the back door it stunk the bungalow out, so I think it might have got to my throat. It's normal for that to happen to me so I know it'll be okay in a day or two.

I think I might have copied everything over to OH's family tree now, so I'm going to spend the next few days checking, just to make sure there isn't anyone else I've missed. It's took me most of the year so far, so I'll be glad when it's all done.
Nothing else planned, so I should get quite a bit of checking done today. What is everyone else up to?

Frank

Frank Report 20 Dec 2019 12:05

I won't say "GOOD MORNING" as it's not. raining and breezy here.

Everything went well for Ros and the concert. Standing room only once again, so I am pleased I stayed at home.

Didn't wake until 9.45 this morning, after a terrible night. I went to bed at 9.30 pm and came out again at midnight. Sat and chatted to Ros for an hour then went back. Cramp in the calf kept waking me up,(lack of walking I expect).

Can't understand why not all of you are getting the ECARD All I can do is say SORRY. and I will be thinking of you all over the Christmas period. I hope you all have a wonderful time, with friends and family.

Our Christmas card hanging thingy is getting full, last year Ros put them on the walls with BLUE-TAC The trouble with that was, it took the paint off the wall, when you took them down.

Tony has just been round with my Birthday card and Present. It's heavy so have no IDEA what it is. Simon and Sally have ordered something for my birthday on line but hasn't turned up yet.

Some very kind person has TAKEN about 20 home made table cloths from the village hall. All made by one of the women. They were kept in a cupboard in the upstairs room. So they won't have table cloths for the tables on NEW YEARS EVE. You can't start to think, WHY anyone would do that. No respect for anyones property, and what on earth will they do with them all.

I have quite a pile of Birthday cards, building up on the drinks cabinet. So I will be busy Sunday morning, opening them all, and finding where to display them.

I have DECLARED CHRISTMAS. NO MORE COOKING. So this evening I will take Ros out to eat. Tomorrow will be Takeaway, and Sunday out with Harvey and Julia at the calvary. They do a takeaway service, so will get one for Lewis, he will enjoy that when H & J get home.

All table lights on and the heating. Yours truly is now off to have my shower, and get dressed.

I hope you are all well, and that our Jane, is looking forward to going away with the family. xxxx

I shall have to find out if any of the carverys round here do a take out. Never heard of that before. Did you say you go on Monday Frank? Glad the concert was a great success again this year. It gets everyone in the right mood for Christmas.

The suns come out here at the moment but there are still grey clouds in the sky so I think we may have more rain later.

I must go up the shop this afternoon to see whats what up there.

Could anyone forward me the ecard please?

Annx

Annx Report 20 Dec 2019 16:53

Have sent Frank's last ecard Mel.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 20 Dec 2019 18:06

Thank you Ann and AnnG. Its lovely and thank you Frank and Ros.

Been to the shop and they had one ring left and the two candle posies so I took the ring so I don't have to make one for Em. They had a bin full of mistletoe outside the shop with a notice for donations to the lIttle Bears nursary school in the village so I took some of that and gave a two pound donation.

Went down the church and put mums posy on her stone and then on the way back went into Em's with the last ring. She paid me for that and gave me the presents from her mum and dad and the ones from Em Ed and the boys. I have a lovely red cyclamen done up in a red fancy box with the flowers poking out of the top.

Came home then and shut the chickens in washed up and oh made me a cuppa. He was watching the back of his eyelids when I went out. I think the cyclamen will go nicely in the big bathroom as I have two in the little loo already. A big fushia pink one I bought for mum at least 12 years ago and its baby seedling. Just read the label and its in a ceramic pot so that will be a nice surprise. I still have a little sedum in a glass bowl Em bought me two years ago. That is in the spare bedroom as it will put up with the sun in there facing south.

William

William Report 20 Dec 2019 18:19

Ho Ho Ho, it's Will Roe - maybe known to you all (with long memories) as William. I just wanted to pop in and wish each and everyone of you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR.
I know I haven't posted anything for some time but my duties as a carer for my dear wife Carmel have increased this year more than ever and I don't seem to time to do everything I want or would like to do and so some things get overlooked. Not only that but we don't get any younger, I'm now 84 and Carmel is 87 and the arthritis in my fingers doesn't help my keyboard skills at all - so if there are any mistakes, please forgive me.
It has been a trying year as not only Carmel's mobilty has got worse but a fall onto her walker in Kenilworth in august set her back and now if and when she goes out with me it is in her wheelchair, and the mainly rainy weather we have suffered makes that a difficult choice. Other health problems for her have been the many flare ups of diverticulitis she suffers with, the lichen planus in her mouth which often means she sleeps very little and wakes with pain. I know, it all sounds doom and gloom but still we get through things day by day as we have each other.
Other blots on the landscape is that our little granddaughter Belle has very serious health problems, in and out of hospital and as a limited life expectancy. Our grandson Craig has had to give up work due to epilepsy and sleep apneia plus he has two serious operations ahead of him, his right knee and his right foot, one of which might cost him an amputation.
I'm sure by now you are wishing you hadn't started to read this but there you go, life has it's ups and downs - but on the plus side, our granddaughter visited from Skegness and brought her delightful children with her and our little great-grandson took his first steps while here.- the in September we celebrated our 40th Ruby wedding anniversary by visiting the United Reform church where we were married and had a great fuss made of us, plus being taken out to lunch by the family.
Christmas will see us 'home alone', daughter Dorothy is off to Dublin to be with family there and we have encouraged her to go and enjoy the occasion, she does enough for everyone here. She has made us a Christmas cake, so that's a bonus. On the plus side, we have each other, food in, TV,heating and a roof over our heads - AND - I don't have to drive or come home in the dark.
I'll sign off now and would like to thank all those that sent us Christmas cards and apologize if we haven't sent you one, I don't have all the addresses now and I can't always get out to get cards stamps etc. So if you haven't had a card or greeting from us - you jolly well have had now Ho Ho Ho.
Enjoy the holiday, look after yourselves and stay safe and warm. God bless.
- - - As they say in all good books - errors and omissions excepted ! <3
