I have spent the afternoon going to the new doctors and fillin g forms out. I am doing it online for the patient questionair and they want to know all about you, mobile numbers, email addresses what my name was before I married and how much we weigh and how tall we are. Honestly its like enrolling in the army!! I can only fill out a bit of oh's as he won't tell me how tall he is or what he weighs.............. Then I have to list all our meds which I can understand but really do they need to know how tall we are?
Apart from that I have started to make some dragon eggs and done 4 more wand pencils but hav'nt painted them yet. I'm hoping the paint takes alright on them as they are really shiney. I did think about rubbing some sandpaper over them but forgot and did the glue gunning on them so now I can't and it would have meant going out in the garage and raiding oh's stash of different papers.
Really frosty here already tonight. My cars roof is all white.
Gill I did see that Kirstie's programs are back and the Repair shop.

Evening all ,

Ann those flooded fields look bad i hope it's gone down a bit now it wasn't far off coming across that road .
Jane hope all goes well with the Nutritionist tomorrow and they can help with sorting things that will be easier for you to eat . Did the Baileys slip down ok :-D
Thanks for the reminder about the Repair shop Gill we enjoy watching them ,looking forward to seeing Kirstie too .
AnnG i thought what a lovely sunset it was tonight too the sky was so pretty .
I hate form filling Mel they always want to know so much and they don't always make some of the questions easy to understand either ,i hope you can get them sorted out as it will be a lot nearer for you to go when you need to see the doctor .
We had a lovely weekend with Katie but as usual we were both worn out ,as for Max he slept all day he was so tired :-D
I need to go to The works tomorrow ,i bought all the children storage boxes from there that i'm going to fill with bits and pieces for Christmas ,i got one for Katie with Sausage dogs on but i see they do a Frozen one so i want to see if i can change hers for one of those as she likes frozen .

Evening All,
Getting very cold now, yet it was mild and sunny earlier. I went for my blood test this morning and tried the walk in clinic. We just got the last space in the car park which was lucky. OH went to get the papers and said meet him at the car when I was done. The waiting room was almost full and mostly of men which was unusual and I had to wait AGES! Afterwards as I was walking out, there was a man lying on the floor in the porch area with a couple of people with him including a member of staff. Poor chap I just heard him say he went dizzy and a woman say she caught him. I presume he was on his way in and that he had driven there as he was in his shirt sleeves.
Mel I think they like to know your height to compare it in the future. If you shrink much it could indicate osteoporosis. Fancy your OH not telling you his height and weight. Is he worried they might want to see him or does he just not want you to know do you think? Did he get you some moss down for your wreaths? I see you have been doing more makes for your stall. I have been cutting the bits out for my Owl I'm doing in Wednesday's class. It takes me ages to choose the materials to use so I thought I would do that ahead and get it cut out too. Then I can put it together and do any decoration there. It means I won't have to take so many things with me as well.
Yes Gill, tell Sandra I will be very happy if it is a nice colourful card and it will have pride of place! :-) Oh and a kiss on it like this X would be lovely! :-) Thanks for the reminder about the progs as they are 2 I love to watch as well.
Yes you keep away from the knives Frank , we don't want you adding bits of yourself to the veg! I hope your coughs soon improve. OH still has a cough, but it i going. My throat feels a bit funny tonight so I hope I'm not getting what OH has had. It can't help sitting in the doctors for ages this morning but I did gel my hands at the reception desk.
Sounds like you had a nice trip shopping AnnG and got a few Christmas presents too. I always have poached eggs on toast if we sometimes eat in the morning, just that and no butter or spread. OH has the same with butter or sometimes has a bacon cob.
I bet Mandy is putting her feet up after Katie's visit and that Max is having a snooze! lol
I have a hearing test first thing tomorrow so another early start. At least it is less than a mile away, but I expect traffic will be queuing to the motorway.

I had 8 X's ob my thnk you card from andra last time Ann. Good luck with the hearing test tomorrow.
He told me in the end he was or is 5'9" and he weighs 20 stone so definately over weight AnnG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I'm over weight too.
So a tiring but enjoyable weekend with little Katie. Did you make anything together?
I emailed my cousin in Ohio last weekend but I hav'nt heard anything from her so I do hope she is ok. She 80 odd and after that fall has been very ill with her back. If anything happened to her I doubt her children would contact me. Her daughter has been very ill too and her son dos'nt use pc's but his girlfriend does. Thats how Hilary got in touch with me cos the girlfriend saw Hilary's name on Curious Fox so she (Hilary) contacted me through that site at first.
I am going to watch a bit of telly after looking at my Dragon Eggs to see if they have dried out.

Morning all
Very frosty here this morning, not at all like yesterday with the lovely sun we had.
Hope all went well with the nutritionist Jane <3
So you're all tired out now Katie has gone home Mandy? It sounds like you had a nice time together. Has Max recovered yet? :-) Hope you manage to change the box at the Works for katie, she'll like the Frozen one. I bought a stack of three boxes for Sandra a few years ago, they range in size, I bought her the white ones with pink flowers on and she loved them. They're so handy for all her bits and bobs, she uses one for some jewellery, although I've bought her a jewellery box this year that she can decorate with diamonds and other sparkly bits, she likes things like that and will then have somewhere to put the rest of her jewellery.
I hope you hear from your cousin soon Mel. Do you have her son's girlfriends email? Maybe you could email her to see if everything's okay. It sounds like you had a right to do filling in all the forms for the doctors.
I will let Sandra know you'd like a little kiss on your card Ann :-) She'll probably put some on everyone else's to. Most of the decoration is inside the card with a bigger picture on the front, she said she didn't have enough Christmas stuff to put on the outside as well. They look very nice though and I've told her you'll all love them. Hope all goes well with your hearing test.
I haven't watched the first Repair Shop yet, we noticed it was just about to come on so I quickly recorded it and put a series link on, I only had a few seconds to do it so was lucky I spotted it in time. I didn't know the new series was starting this week. We've also been watching the Junior Bake Off , the children are really good and one said she was pleased she didn't have to grow up first to go on the show.....bless her. I'm looking forward to watching Kirstie next.
I recorded Cold Call last night, I think it's about a woman who is scammed, so we'll be watching that today. It's so cold outside, my fingers are like ice now as I've just put some food out for the birds, so we won't be going anywhere today. They said on the weather last night it was going to be the coldest day so far this year. We had frost everywhere this morning and at first I thought it was snow. Sandra is hoping for snow this year, it would be lovely if we had a WHITE CHRISTMAS that would make her day.

Morning All,
A sharp frost here too but none of the fog we expected here.
My throat was sore by the time I went to bed, but I slept well and didn't wake till 7.00am. It's not too bad just yet, but if I start losing my voice it will not be a good sign! My hearing test showed a very slight change on the high frequency sounds, just nudging into the mild impairment range on those, but the rest were normal. They even take photos of the inside of your ear now! lol. She said even though my hearing loss is age related, it was sensible to keep wearing earplugs in the cinema or at concerts. She said I was good for my age!! :-S The dentist said the same the other week abut my teeth and although it is good to hear it does make you realise you are getting older. :-S
The garden centre was on the way back, a stone's throw away, so we called in for a light breakfast. I just had poached eggs with toast and a slice of bacon and 2 of OH's mushrooms. He has a lot to do before he goes out tonight and he said it would save me getting any lunch or us going out and we can just have soup or a sandwich later.
Mel, we are both overweight too, so your OH is not alone!!!! It will be much more convenient for you at the new doctor's, but will you still have to get your prescriptions from Holsworthy? I love it when frost sparkles too and prefer still and cold to rain and wind like you.
Gill I missed the first Repair Shop too, so will have to find it and record it when the next episode is aired. I also recorded Cold Call.
Mandy did you make anything with Katie? I bet all their characters are different with their likes and dislikes and what they want to do! I hope you manage to swap the box for a 'Frozen' one. They do some nice boxes and I bought a set of the 3 little suitcases a while ago for a shelf in the bedroom. They do some good things and I love to browse in there. :-D
I hope Jane's visit to the nutritionist is helpful and expect she will have some new ideas for her. :-D :-D
Now I'm going to definitely start those pompoms!!

Afternoon all,
It was very frost here first thing but the sun soon got up and it cleared the frost away ,we did have to give the car windscreen a good scrape though .
Ann you asked the other day abut the car and i forgot to say it was a wire that had worn and it had been sparking :-S and burnt out ,all good now though which was just as well as we needed the fan to clear the windscreen this morning . Hope that sore throat doesn't come to much you'll have to does yourself up and have plenty of fluids to keep it lubricated . Katie wanted to make a few Pom Poms and that was all we did this time as she also wanted to watch a disney film so that passed the time a bit ,this week end we will have Lacey here so it will be jigsaws and colouring books . I looked at those little suitcases Ann they are pretty i bought the girls some a couple of years ago .
I changed the box in the works and got Katie a Frozen box ,i also bought the girls a note book each with are covered in sequins ,there's a silver one a pink one and a gold ,also bought Chelsea a book with pages that you have a little wooden stick that you use to scrape away the top and reveal a picture under neath they are called Picture Etch Enchanting Nature ,i should think Sandra might like them Gill . I'm gradually getting bits and pieces for their boxes .
Mel i love the mornings when the frost looks all glittery it looks so pretty when the sun shines . Yes another donkey day for you again your right they soon come round again .
Sorry your eyes are so bad again today Frank ,not to long to wait until December to get it done .

Well that was a full on day today. We did have a frost but not very hard, just a bit on the roofs. We went into town on the bus as I had a chiropodist appointment, we caught the 0959 bus in, had two of our free coffees in M&S then I went o my appointment and OH amused himself looking round the pound shop and indoor market.. When I met him again we walked down to Gloucester Quays where there is a huge Christmas market. Had a look round there then went to get lunch, walked into Wetherspoons and straight back out again as it was heaving. we went to Zizzis then and, not being the cheapest place and it being early we were easily able to get a table. Had a very nice 'Festive lunch', three couses but the courses are not huge. We both had the sharing boards which was three small pieces of a light pizza, three olives, three onion rings, two pices of Serano ham and a piece of extremely spicy meat (which neither of us ate),) I then had a spicy pasta with king prawns and courgette ribbons and OH had breast of chicken wrapped in parma hame with small fried potatoes, french beans (which were almost raw so he didn't eat them) in a sauce, then I had tiramisu and he had three portions of ice cream which we sort of shared. Both had a medium glass of Shiraz. really enjoyed the meal and the service was excellent even though it was full when we left. we then went into the outlet centre and bought gloucester rugby scarves, hats and gloves for son and Grandson and a hat for Granddaughter all vastly reduced which, as it is the official stuff was good. Then had a long look round the Victorian market, about 150 + stalls, as usual we mainly looked, there is some lovely stuff there but nothing we really needed/wanted at the moment except I did buy arametto coffee beans for daughter., then walked back up through the town to the bus station and caught the bus home, got in just after four having walked four miles during the day. And both tired now.
Mandy, pleased that you were able to change the box I am sure Katie will love it. Little girls do like boxes. Glad also to hear your car is fixed.
Annx I do hope that your cold has not developed any further. Good that your hearing is still ok.
Mel, your OH is naughty, he is overweight, that is not safe as we get older. Maybe he could try and lose a little bit. We are both a little overweight but not too bad. OH is 5ft10 and weighs about 12stone 12 and he has a bit of a tum on him, he has actually been very good and lost about a stone in a year. Hope you soon hear from your cousin.
Jane hope all went well with the nutritionist.
Gill I watched the last third of the repair shop (only becaue I was waiting for pointless to start, Loved the wicker work repair.
Frank you just have to be patient I think and rest your eyes.

AnnG this old little girl loves boxes too!! :-D
You had a busy day today too AnnG. Was the market set out in those little cabin type stalls? I have always wanted to go to one of those but never have.
Worn out after shopping but a nice easy dinner tonight as I have bought myself a nice piece of smoked haddock and oh has a curry which he does himself.
Hope Jane got on ok today and was given some good advice about what to eat etc. Have been thinking about her all the time I was out. Sending wishes.
Nice to hear our Frank is ok even if his eye is still bad. Not long to wait now Frank and how are the bruises healing?
There is no frost out there yet tonight but that is'nt to say it will turn up later on. I love to see it all glittering in the outside lights. It makes it feel more like Christmas is on the way.
Its good you managed to change the box Mandy to one she would prefer. They had loads of Frozen things in Morrisons today and it made me think of Katie. I would love tosee her face when she gets it. Has she got the dress? I bet she has.

Evening all
Gill, I have pm'd you.
Like most of you, we woke up to a sparkling, white garden this morning. It looked so pretty but gosh it was cold. The sun came out early and it was lovely and bright but it took a long while for the frost to disappear.
I had a disturbed night again, mainly due to OH's snoring. He has quite a repertoire of puffs, whistles and snorts. I ended up going in the spare room at 2 am and reading for some while, and it took me a long while to warm up again as I had got out of a warm bed and into a cold one. To be fair to OH he always says I should wake him if he is snoring badly and he will go in the spare room but it seems stupid to wake him if I am already awake.
We had quite a productive morning. We went into town and I left a large suitcase full of curtains and things at the Salvation Army shop so that's got that out of the way. Then we took a king size duvet into a local place, "The Laundry Goddess", to be cleaned. I am sure last time I did that they charged me £15 but she asked for £12 this time so I didn't argue. Next we went to the opticians as OH says he doesn't feel the right lens in his glasses is right. The chap there brought up all OH's details on the computer and wondered whether his slow growing cataract has moved . Anyway he has made him an appointment for a complete re-test in a week's time.
After that we went to the Cards For Good Causes shop which is set up in the library and I got my Christmas cards and a couple of other bits. I buy from here every year as virtually all the money goes to the various charities. I saw some sweet little silver crackers which were called Saucer Crackers, and you put them in the saucer as you would a teaspoon. They were £2.95 for a box of eight so I bought some to give my daughter to have at Christmas. I might go back and get some for me as there'll be nice if any of the neighbours come in for a cuppa over the Christmas period.
Next we went to a local glass factory to see about getting a window pane replaced. It’s a double glazed sealed unit and it is starting to get condensation between the panes so the seal must be damaged. They gave us a card from a glazier and said to ring him and he will come and give us a quote, so that’s a job for the morning.
You sound as though you have had a busy day as well AnnG. There is a Christmas market in Bury St Edmunds for a few days in December but I have never been. I’ve been told it gets so crowded that it’s unbearable. The two ladies who organize a monthly coach trip somewhere between April and October also do one to a stately home Christmas fair in December. We’ve been to Waddesdon Manor a couple of times and last year we went to Blenheim. This year it will be Polesdon Lacey (not sure of spelling).
I do hope the nutritionist was able to help you Jane. Even if you need to have soft foods I expect you would like them with a bit of flavour. Some of the suggested foods are often so bland. With luck she/he will have come up with some good ideas for you to try.
I hope you are being a good boy and resting those eyes Frank. You take care now.
Mel, I was surprised you had to fill in your doctor’s forms yourself. When we moved and had to register with a new doctor, we had to go to the surgery and be weighed, measured, bp taken etc. by the nurse there and she filled in all the forms. That’s when we discovered that OH had shrunk and I hadn’t. When we married I was the tiniest bit taller than him, now I reckon it’s nearer 2” taller (I’m 5’8”). Neither of us are overweight luckily. It would be good if you could encourage your OH to try and lose a bit of weight for the sake of his health.
I do ramble on don’t I? Gold star if you have made it this far but I think I had better come to an end. Have a good night’s sleep everyone.

I keep trying to make him lose weight and we do have smaller meals now so hopefully it will show up soon.
Iv'e had a sort through my craft box for the fair tonight and some labels I stuck on things have come off so near resticking back on. Oh bought me two lots of stands which arrived this morning. They are for my wands and wand pencils and they fit a treat.
Off to bed soon so see you all in the morning.
Still wondering how Jane got on today and hope she had picked up some good info on things to eat. <3 <3 <3
