What am I like, I just thought I haven't had my tablets. So went to the draw where my daily doses are kept, and noticed I hadn't hadLAST NIGHTS. No wonder I was all over the place last night.
Brightened up a bit now, backdoor to patio open, so Biggles can come and go as he likes.
Roast Shoulder of Lamb tonights with roasts, brussels, carrots peas and runner beans. Run out of Parsnips so they are on the list.
I am going to see if I can have a few zzzz, as it's nice and quiet, with no T.V. on !!!!

Afternoon all,
We have a little sun today but the wind is making it feel quite chilly.
I'm glad some of you have a Leisure cooker and find them ok as that's what i've plumped for ,we went and ordered it from a shop in town and it should be here on Friday ,we then went to get our shopping from Aldi and Tesco and then petrol so we've had a good spend up this morning .
Oh Frank no wonder you didn't feel right with not having your tablets last night,i hope you can get a good nights sleep tonight ,little Biggles will be happy today as i bet he gets lots of treats while he's with you. Lewis does very well with his tip money Frank , he must be happy in his work and enjoying it to be there all this time .
Hope you didn't get to many hold ups when you went for your blood test today Mel I use foil in my top oven ,i usually line a tray with it when i grill bacon ,i shall have to watch it with this one then Mel if you say it bent some thing in the top oven .
Right time to walk Max in the sun shine BBL

Afternoon all, sunny but a cold wind. I went in to town this morning, just for somewhere to go as OH was at an away day golf competition. He is home now and just mad a cup of tea so I had better go and get it. Didn't but a lot in town, just a summery sweat shirt top in Debenhams. I wanted to find something as I had a £3 voucher I wanted to spend while I can.

Mandy it was the element in the top of the oven that bent, which is also the grill. I kept hitting the grill pan on it when doing to big breakfast and looked under the grill and saw it hanging down on one side.
Blood test went ok and the nurse (Jean) was a real hoot. We laughed and laughed. She took my blood from my right hand about an inch and a half from the first knuckle on my thumb. Never had it taken from there before. Got told off cos I had only had one mug of milk and water this morning and I should have drunk more water. She had to fish around a bit but she was very gentle really. She was also from Buckland Filleigh originally too and knew where our docs used to be and had been with that doc for 50 years. She really laughed when I told her what I call my pill I takek in the late morning. She took my blood pressure too and said it was down on the one I had when I saw the doc but she did'nt tell me what it was.
I am due at Em's in a min to deliver her eggs and take her the garland.
I'll send a pic of it.

Billy no mates today, I tried to get a bit of shut eye, without any success, so I have been reading and watching a bit of "ROAD WARS" I like the police programmes.
The lamb is in the oven on a very low heat. I have tested it and I think it's done. It's so tender, I know it will fall off the bone when I try to carve it. I have dusted the potato's with flour, and put lazy garlic in the oil I will use for roasting the spuds. That should give them a different texture and flavour.
Biggles has been outside lying in the sunshine. It's lovely behind glass, but that breeze is still cold.
I've been in touch with the CLUB. They are not opening tonight. for training or the match. The pub won't have it either, so it looks I won't be seeing it, unless I get Ros to take me to Town, and to be honest I just can't be bothered. I might listen to it on FIVE LIVE at 8.00 pm.
Glad you had a good laugh with the nurse Mel, I always do with mine and the girls on reception. There are too many old monners (sp) around, so it makes a change for the girls, to have a laugh and a joke.
Pam sure you won't be disappointed with your choice of cooker Mandy. Ours has stood us in good stead over the years. Hows MAX doing these days,?? you don't mention him too often. lol lol
Ain G, I miss my golf, years ago I tried to play at least once a week. I was a member at our local Pub Golf Society, and would travel quite a bit, to play different course's and have a meal and presentation afterwards. I see you managed to get yourself a top while out today. So worth while.
I bought SIX Bygonia bulbs, if that's what you call them, on eBay today. Believe it or not the postage was more than the bulbs. Ros keeps telling me how dear, postage is now. As I never go to the P.O. I wouldn't know. lol

good that your BP was down Mel. I always ask them to write mine down as I have a card I was once given and can track it on there to see how it has differed. Never had blood taken from there either, I would have thought it was more painful.
Frank I love lamb, my favourite meat and yours sounds delicious. I might just pop over :-D what a silly billy not taking your tablets last night. I think it will be a good job when you have that injection, hopefully you will feel more yourself then.
we have a lazy meal tonight frozen fish pieces and oven chips. Beans for OH and salad for me.

Evening All,
A nice sunny day here, but it was really nippy early this morning when I was pruning in the back garden. OH had made a start on the front garden, but half an hour was enough for us. Little and often is our mantra to get it shipshape without overdoing it, at least till our backs have more bend in them!
That's a lovely garland Mel and I like the little sheep, especially the black one! It's good your BP had improved. I always asked what mine was and wrote it down. I check it at home every month, but they never check it at the surgery now unless I have something wrong with me. I must read up about beetroot and migraines as OH quite likes them........beetroot not migraines!
AnnG I was hunting through my coupons and vouchers last night and found a Debenhams one for £8 I got free and thought just the same that I must use it quickly!!
Frank, Biggles must feel quite at home at your place. I think he had the right idea snoozing outside. :-D I'm with you on the TV front and ours rarely goes on before the evening, unless it's for the odd sport thing. Most daytime things we want to see get recorded and watched later. I sometimes panic when I realise I haven't had my tablets. It is easy to forget, but I expect that's why you weren't yourself.
Much work seems to be going on where the newest people have moved into Jean's bungalow. Heating people have been in most of last week and now someone is taking a wall with the gate in down at the side. I said to OH a while back That I would build a garage on the side and turn the integral garage into another room so maybe they are doing that. Time will tell.
OH had another meeting today. I think the schools round here are all trying to get things done before they break up for Easter.
Better get on with paying a few bills now!

I think we all do to much at a time in the garden instead of taking it a little at a time Ann ,but when you see it looking good you want to carry on . Our schools broke up last Friday which I thought was early this year ,they go back the Tuesday after Easter Monday .
Oh I meant to say Frank you asked about Max ......I forgot to mention he had three toilet rolls last week :-D Our fault really as we forget to close the loo door and he just noses the rolls off the holder it looks like it's been snowing all over the floor by the time he's finished.

Good evening all
Mel, your garland is pretty and I love the sheep. You are all so clever with your hands, you make me feel very inadequate. Never mind, I expect I’ve got other talents, I just haven’t found them yet lol. I am glad your BP was down a bit.
I hope you like your new cooker when it arrives Mandy. Is it gas or electric or is it dual fuel like mine (gas hob and electric ovens)? We didn’t have any gas where we lived before and I had a halogen hob, so it took me a few weeks to really get used to the cooker that was in this house. I was forever under cooking or over cooking our food.
Frank, you are a naughty boy forgetting your tablets. Slapped wrist for you :-D. I hope you start to sleep better soon. As a fellow insomniac I know how you feel. I do have sleeping pills but rarely take them. In spite of them being strong - I have to sign for them as a controlled drug - they don’t always work and I know they are addictive so I am very wary of them. I hope you enjoyed your roast lamb. Lamb is my favourite and we had it as well tonight, only ours was done in a casserole.
Jane, the two little boys are gorgeous. What lovely smiles. They look as though they could be a bit mischievous.
Ann, I had a look online at beetroot and migraine as I hadn’t come across it before. I got mixed messages. Some sites said it was bad for migraine because of the amount of nitrates in it, others said it was good. One said it was good in helping to prevent them but no good at easing it if you already had one. I suppose the only thing to do is try it and see if it has any effect.
I have to go into town tomorrow for a chiropody appointment and then meet the “gang” for coffee. Guess what, more road closures and 4-way traffic lights right by the car park entrance. It’s going to be chaos :-|
Sleep well everyone.

Lewis's employer has obviously been pleased with him to give him a supervisor's job Frank. He's working hard with his job and his studies and it's putting money in his pocket to run his car. He's got the right idea hasn't he!
Max is a little tinker Mandy and must think he is an Andrex puppy with the loo rolls! I remember sending off for a toy one years ago. It will be nice getting à new cooker, all nice and clean. Will they take your old one away? You do well overwintering your begonias. I wasn't successful when I tried it, but some I left in the ground came up the next year.

I used to keep my begonia's too but they make so much mess when they drop their flowers and I lost a few that year. You dry them off in September and let them die back and remove the dead stuff off them and take them out of their soil and keep them frost free. Start them again in March in the airing cupboard in a plastic bag with a big of potting compost in it. Once you see the new little shoots forming pot them up and they will be away again for that year. I went and got vne weevil in mine so secided to start again with new ones.
I have a favorite one which has small flowers and is called Glowing Embers. It has dark red foliage and bright oronge flowers. The first year I had them they were yellow ones but Iv'e not seen that colour since. You are not supposed to keep these ones over the winter but I let them dry out and did keep one for two years. If it grows this year it will be a marvel. Last years new one I bought in Mole Valley but not sure if I have managed to save that one or not yet. They take a while to get going these ones.
I'm glad you liked the garland.

Good morning LAZY BONES. lol lol. I bet you weren't up useably as me this morning. 4.00 am !!!
I went bed to listen to the match, when that finished around 10.00 pm I settled down and went to sleep. I woke at 2.00 for the loo, and slept again until 4.00 am. Wide awake, so I got up.
Ros was up early also 6.50 am. She went to the loo, and decided to stay up, as she had a nail appointment at 8.30. She was then going on to Tesco to get a few bits. She's not home yet. She is out again for 12.30 to go to lunch with Carole and some others, for Carole's 70th Birthday, which is on Saturday. This evening of course in CHOIR, so I won't be seeing much of her today.
What a little "DARLING" lol lol Max must be in your eyes Mandy. THREE toilet rolls the little Bu@@er. I bet they took some clearing up. !!!
Anne, As I said the other day, I am so proud of Lewis, His attitude to life is so heartening. On top of what he does, he sometimes works with his DAD if Harvey needs help and is busy, and Lewis has the time. On some Saturday mornings, he will go with his dad, to Ian Poulter's home (THE GOLFER) to help cut the lawns. So he is not afraid of hard work.
I was wondering about Jsne. Perhaps she went out and when she returned the ROAD WAS BLOCKED OFF, so she couldn't get to her house. (JUST JOKING) lol
It started off very frosty this morning, in fact it's still on Tony's front lawn and the roofs opposite. So no going outdoor for me today.
Our Junior school packed up last Friday also. I don't remember getting one Easter holidays, when I waste school. Yes I can still remember that far back. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Vera, Ros, has just started to have her feet done at home. There is a local woman who does them. It saves her having to tramp into town to get them done.
I am at the nurse this afternoon for my injection, I will get her to check my BP and weight. As I am sure I am still loosing a few pounds.
Lazy me, I am still sitting around in my dressing gown. I am waiting for Ros to get home, then I can get my shower. I am still not comfortable getting around, I still feel giddy, whenI am on my feet.
See you later. xxxx

Morning Frank and All,
We have wall to wall blue sky and plenty of that yellow thing that hangs in the sky occasionally. Ther eis still a cold breeze when it blows though.
Oh has finally put the two other rolls of insulating stuff up the loft and the Christmas tree which has been waiting to go up there since January!!! That two bulky things out of the way though and that must be good.
I got up at 5.45 for the loo and it looked frosty out but not sure if it was or not as it was just starting to get light. Went back to bed and slept till 9.45am. I went to bed at 1.05am so you could say I had a really good sleep.
The first thign I got when I tried to log in this morning was the ERROR PAGE. I could'nt beleive it as its been soooo good lately.
One broken egg and oh found Chuchy standing over it so threw her out the nest box. I went round to feed them and there was another in the nest unbroken but they seem to have softish shells. I am giving them grit but most of them are getting old now so I sould have had a few more new ones than the two I had.
When I lookes out the bedroom window this morning there was a pretty baby bunny munching away on the grass just in front of the old chickens house outside t he bedroom window. Blasted things, I thought I had got rid of most of those. Not too bad if they stay down here but its not something I want up the border again.

Good afternoon all (just). Been busy this morning as we have a U3A meeting here this afternoon. That necessitated a spring clean through downstairs Lol!!! OH did the conservatory and is tidying the garden, he also hoovered despite me saying it didn't need it as we had not been in the lounge much since it was last hoovered. I wouldn't mins but that meant he hoovered after I dusted!!! Still all looks nice now. there will be 9 of us (should be about 15 but some couldn't make today thank goodness, If this group gets to that number we shall have to hire a hall. This is a gardening interests group, so very informal, just chat really and this is the first meeting.
Frank I wonder if the blood test will show you need iron maybe that is because you are dizzy. Make sure you tell the nurse you are dizzy so they do the right blood tests.
Strange nothing from Jane this morning (and yesterday), and nothing so far from Gill. both usually early birds.

Good luck with the injection today Frank. I hope it is going to be a pain free one today. Has Biggles gone home now? I havent read all the posts as there are so many I seem to have missed now.
Mel I loved the little Easter Garland :-D
So Max has been demolishing all your loo rolls Mandy :-D :-D. I hope you have plenty spare :-D. Little monkey.I always thought it was cats that mainly went for the toilet rolls.
House full today then AnnG. I see your cleaner has had a good clean up for you :-D :-D. I always say to Chris not to hoover before the dusting is done ,but it goes in one ear and out the other. After a very frosty start today it is now a lovely warm day and sunny too.Washing drying nicely on the line.
I had a silly rhyme in my head all day yesterday .I must see if I can google it to make sure I got it right. I will have a look now.

Well Madam finally arrived home at 11.50, I said where the Bl@@dy Hell have you been. "Queuing at the P.O. to send back the wool, that was the wrong shade." The woman in front of her had about 15 parcels to send back to Amazon. Each one had to be weighed, and the postage stamp given to the woman. As you can imagine it must have taken ages. Anyway she sat for a few minutes, then got changed and took the car round to the girl who is driving, she just couldn't be bothered to walk.
Yes Mel, we have that YELLOW thing in the sky, but it's still blooming chilly outside.
Ros, saw some CIDER on the reduced counter in Tesco's and a box of RED WINE. Both under half normal price, because the box's were damaged and have been taped up. The CIDER is Extra strong with a 8.2% Alcohol content. So I won't need many of those tonight. hic. hic. ;-) ;-) ;-) Mel should keep her eye on the reduced counters for any booze for the OH. (give him a treat)
I have a wine voucher from somewhere Ros bought something on line. £75.00 off a case costing just over £115.00 So that sounds pretty cheap at around £4.00 a bottle. I might treat myself to that. It would come in handed for Presents as well.
I've cut the lamb from the bone, from yesterday's joint and will heat that in gravy with mash and veg.Lewis sent home TWO beautiful CREAM CAKES yesterday, so I might have one with a C.O.C., I had a Bacon and Egg sarnie for breakfast. Being up so early, made me hungry. lol lol
