I am having an evening off from cooking Ros is doing one of her Stir Frys. What a nice change not being in the kitchen at this time of the evening.
Ros has an appointment with the Orthopedic Surgeon on 7th January to start these injections. She will go to Rutland the day before and DIL will take her. Then she can go back to Rutland for a couple of days, till she feels able to drive home to ME. She'll proberly want to stay there.
6.53pm Just finished and washed up.
Mandy, Have a nice evening, and you can have a drink when you get home, you have my permission !!! Don't start our Jane on your bad habits. She can manage on her own !!!!

FRANK.....Party at yours then when you have the house to yourself lol. Seriously though I do hope the injections will help Ros's pain.
Have been thinking of Liz and her OH today.
I don't think I fancy cream on top of my Tia Maria.Bit sickly I think .I could maybe just have the 1 though lol
I'm just cooking Lamb steaks,New Potatoes and a bag of microwave veg.The Lamb smells lovely with a bit of Rosemary from the garden.

Evening all Busy day, shopping in the morning at Morr**ons it was mad, crowds of people everywhere pushing and shoving and the queues were neverending, I think everyone was shopping because there has been a big thaw and the roads were all clear.
OH took me up to see daughter no 1 and Sofia , daughter no 1 won't drive anywhere as only half of their estate has been cleared or gritted, and she's too scared to go out alone with Sofia in the back of the car, their road is the worst one it has not been touched so was difficult getting up , OH spent the visit clearing some of the snow away so they can now get their car out.
Frank hope the injections in January will help Ros , I hope she manages to get through christmas without to much pain.
Friend of mine has a really bad cough she has had it for a long time & her doctor had arranged for her to see a specialist at the hospital next week, but her appointment has been cancelled due to a lot of back log in appointments, so they have made her a new appointment. IN MARCH next year, I told her she would be better to keep ringing incase there is any cancelations, that is a long time to wait to see some one and she is getting so tired with this cough.
going for a bath. now. BBL

Thanks David, but I don't have anything like that on my computer. Only the bar that runs along the bottom, which I have to slide across to read all the posts.
Fiona, In England we have a thing called "phone and book" When Ros had an appointment made at local hospital, it was well into new year. So I rang and got the appointment we went to last week, they have made the next one in January. We would have still been waiting otherwise.
Liz, get a good nights sleep, see you tomorrow.

Morning everyone,
We had a lovely evening last night ,good food, there was a man playing a guitar and a lady singing through in the bar area ,it was nice to hear in the background as we were eating ,and not to loud, they sang all sorts ,even christmas carols.
Thanks Ann and Jane for your christmas cards ,i've stood them down on my hearth with the others , you should see Toby having a good sniff ,he picks out the ones from the people who have dogs !!! and knocks them over with his nose lol
Got to go to Morri*ons this morning ,i've just looked out the window and it looks a little frosty under foot out there, so i think i'll hang on a bit .
Coffee time i think BBL

Norning All,
I did'nt get back to you all yesterday as we were so busy. Dull here too today.
Was thinking f Liz's hubby all day as I worked away.
The mattress and chest of drawers came together and they picked up the broken one. OH had to sign about 8 sheets of paper for delivery and return.
Mattress now on the bed with new cover and sheet on it. Chest in place which took a bit of doing as it went behind the bed against the west wall under the window. Why is it that when you get furniture home it always looks bigger indoors. Suppose it is because of the size of the shops!! Anyway I rang Jenny who was doing the curtains for me and she came down with them about 10 mins later. she told me she had made the pelmits 4 times the curtain on the bigger window and three times on the smaller. Well the one for the big window was soooooo looooonnnnnnggggg it took ages to pull up to the right size. The smaller one was bad enough. OH had to help me in the end as my fingers were not really strong enough to hold the strings and pull the material along. He tied the strings to the radiator pipe thingy and did it that way. He put the pelmits up and then told me to get the curtain hooks for the curtains.
Do you think I had enough!!!! NO. I went off seraching for curtain hooks all over hte place. I rang our local shop as I had seen some in there once but they did'nt have any. In the end I had to steal them off the curtains in the uti room and found one in a pot in the kitchen so we made do until I can get somewhere and buy new ones. They I had to fiddles with the pelmits to get them straight and my poor old arms were getting very tired with them being up in the air all the time and me standing on a small pair f steps. I had to have a rest and go back later and carry on buy which time it was corn feeding for the chickens. Did that and then never got back on pc all night. Was shattered by the evening so watched a bit of telly and retired.
Arms still feel funny today.
10.22am.

Oh I meant to tell you this a while ago when we had all the snow. Keep a couple of those 8 hour night lights in the car as if you get stuck in the car in snow and light one or two they will keep the inside of the car warm. I have always kept a couple in the car since I read it somewhere with a box of matches of course if you don't smoke!!

Morning Frank Mandy Mel I have been up for hours.I was at the garden centre just after 9 to get the tree.Chris is doing things with it at the moment.Trimming off some of the lower branches I think.I got the usual Poinsettia .Fingers crossed the leaves don't drop off by tomorrow lol. The sun is shining very bright and it is very mild.I want it cold and crispy when I decorate the tree, not warm and sunny.
Your evening sounded lovely Mandy.I love the sound of a guitar(especially the Spanish guitar).
Glad everything has now arrived Mel.I bet you don't know yourselves.I hate the job of gathering up the top of curtains too. That string always cuts in to the fingers when its pulled.
I just looked out the window and see that Chris has taken off his jacket and is in his T Shirt !!
Off for a coffee BBL
