Good morning to you all, oh dear not long been up, Eddie and l have the reading bug again and l didn't go to sleep till 12.50am and when l asked Ed what time he settled down (he is still sleeping in the sitting room as he is still not allowed to go upstairs, mind you he couldn't even if he wanted to) and he said it was after 1.00am when he settled so we both had a layin this morning.
I am getting fed up with all the rain we've been having, if Ed wants to come to the supermarket with me l have to get the wheelchair out of the car, get him in and getting wet in the mean time, lol, but at least we have no snow or frost.
Right better go and cook some breakfast/lunch, see you soon, x

Never mind Mummo, if your weather is like ours it wasn't worth getting up for.

Jude Will be sending lots of positive thoughts to Vic this afternoon, hope things are OK. He must have pulled his arm awkwardly, ouch!!

Afternoon Daffy and all:-) Well the weather here is much the same all over, rain,rain and yet more rain. Some of the park's pathways were under water this morning so we had to squelch through mud to get back out. My dainty dog didn't like that...lol...my old dragon is fed up too as she can't go for her daily walk, so what with a fussy dog and a cranky dragon, well...*eyes Baileys bottle...no it's much too early isn't it? *Looks around for Daff who is sure to say 'go for it' or words to that effect. pmsl...on second thoughts I can wait:-)

Love to all BCXX

Hi all, managed to slide our way to the hospital, my appointment was for 2.20, we were there early and had a coffee first, then booked in and I went in at 2pm, home by 2,30.

Decided not to go tonight though. Snow has stopped for now but it isn't very nice out there. Phoned up and she will let me know if there is a class next week.

Hi~~~~~~~~~~~~to all,
Just popped in to say I am still around but have been adding to my tree as I have found another Gt/Uncle who had been hiding from me, this one had emigrated. It would be great if I had another family member who was interested in family research but sadly I am alone in this hobby.( all say ahh). I have read how other peoples families eyes glaze over when they mention their rellies and that is how it is with mine lolol, Still I could be doing worse things couldn't I?

We have got snow now so I might not be going any where tomorrow, I have enough trouble walking when it isn't snowy but hopefully it will be gone soon
bye for now & take care

Edit to say I have lost my name again.

Evening everyone... I thought I had put up a lovely long reply yesterday evening... must have pressed delete instead of submit.... doh!!

I have been a bit of a domestic Goddess on Speed today, lol... needed to take the big gun painkillers, and they make me feel pleasantly tiddly for a while, lol.... so I have made four huge stock pots full of various soups/spagh bol/curry/chilli etc... chicken, beef and ham, not all in together, I hasten to add.. in a sort of Muppet Chef meets Nigella style.... son says it was very entertaining, although he did take the sharp knife from me a couple of times... and he peeled most of the veg, lolol

Maz, pleased to see your loo has been finished... yep, a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new throne room, lolol

BC, did you remember why you were up early? lol!

Hi Jude..... it wasn't snowing this way... but it was cold enough initially for yesterday's to hang around until later on... well after lunch before it warmed up enough to defrost. Hope you both enjoyed your lunch

~~~~ waves to Ginnie.... I am trying very hard not to use too much glitter.... I really am... but I just love it so much... I am sure I must have been a Magpie or a gold prospector in a past life! Good to see you, anyway...... now don't go mislaying that gt Uncle again, lolol They should all have electronic tags, I reckon, lol Stop them from hiding from us!
Mau, my MiL always added a drop of beer to her batter..... even though she thought alcohol was the devil's own brew... and I can't say a lot about her... but her fish in batter was to die for, lol!!
She also used to do a sort of doughnut... sounds wierd, but delicious... make some jam sandwhiches... be generous with the jam, cut into fingers or quarters, dunk in the batter, and deep fry until golden brown... drain, springle with caster sugar and scoff! They tasted sooooo scrummy, just like doughnuts. Mine were ok, and the boys loved them... but they were never as good as hers.
Have a lovely evening everyone
Love
Daff xxxx
Morning Daff and all:-) Just checking in before this most stunning sunny blue skied fantastic day engulfs me (so sorry that's what happens when you join GR Writing Group! lol)...just back from walk in the park and suddenly there are PEOPLE walking around and SMILING!! Am off to Oxford Street in search of a particular book and to get something else which escapes me.
Re memory loss in the aging: I was delighted to read an article in some paper that says when you are older and you begin to gain new skills, new hobbies, or information, that this new stuff just slides the old stuff out of the way to make room for new! Simple! er...and also that Lists may help:-)
Have a wonderful day:-)
Thanks BC that is reassuring.
Just back from Dunelm Cheltenham where we had a good spend!!! New blind for the bathroom, new towel, Tea towels, oven glove, floor mop. Oh yes and a few craft bits as well!!!! It is much nicer than the Gloucester one, very bright and airy and positively encourages you to buy things. Also bought three gerberas intending to break and use the petals but they have side tracked into my vase of artificial flowers in the lounge so far!!!
OH's car making a nasty knocking noise so that sounds like more expense.
Hi all, not done a lot this weekend, Ed fell yesterday and has a lovely bruised and cut arm and his hip has been quite sore so will make him a appointment with the doctor (won't tell him though) and he needs some more pain killers so will do it all in one go.
I have a appointment in Southampton on Wednesday to have the last of my laser treatment on my right eye, then hopefully no more glasses.
Ann l think l will have to see where my nearest Dunelm is as l used to love going to the one in Chester when l lived up in North Wales and could do with a few bits and bobs.
Well l hope you are all having a better weekend then me, lol...........forgot to say l also put a whites wash on but a pair of black trousers crept in with them, oops. x
