*grinned at the really hard woman* well... it was the nagging... and the ow, ow ow my foot is b***y sore and I am going to cancel Christmas and move into a nunnery might have had something to do with it, lolol!! Oh... and the threat to take all the wheels off my car so he couldn't use it, lol! ;¬)) He went out giggling to himself, lol I was serious though.... until he reminded me that he would have needed to help me get the wheels off anyway, lol

Why do they have to try and get the last word in? I have now got to wrack my brain to think of a suitable riposte, lol

Sallie, Hiya, ! Lol.... I don't know what it is about them, lol.... do you reckon they have a huge masochistic streak? I really hate nagging.... I can hear myself sounding like a whinger as the nag gets into full flow, lol!! Still, it is done now... and when his dad gets in, they can bring the bookcase straight out and in here ready to be prepped for painting tomorrow.

Love

pmsl BC I have a habit of saying the wrong thing, was at a craft fair at the weekend and looking at lovely carved wooden objects which are so touchy feely, I love wood, must be down to my surname lol Anyway as I went to move on to another stall, I said bye then, as the stall holder and craftsman and I had been chatting about the items, and then I said Ooops, I nearly said thanks for the feel! He and another customer roared with laughter and he said Maybe I should put up a poster, Free Feels lol

Glad your dog is sleeping well, I too googled and saw what breed she is, not at all the dog I was expecting to share your life, but very beautiful all the same.

Daff, hope you caught up with your sleep. I make blackout linings (seperate ones that fix in with the curtain hooks) so the sun can't get through the thinner curtains unless o.h. hasn't pulled them properly and there is a crack letting light in. I hate to sleep with light coming through the curtains, in fact I struggle to sleep at all if a room is light. I can never understand why hotels, holiday homes etc etc never think of the fact that you might not want to be woken early or would prefer your kids to sleep in a bit, and therefore the windows need blackout treatment.

Good morning All. Beautiful sunshine today everything in the garden is frosty and shiny,so probably very nippy out there brrr

So glad T is a lot better BC and she slept last night,(as I think she feels like a teddy bear,give her a gentle bear hug from me).. er did you get something from the vet too?...nearly said in the end lol hoping you're feeling chirpier X

I love craft fairs Liz,we have a local Victorian Christmas fair every year,over two days, stall holders dress in peroid costume. It has a lovely atmosphere and raises cash for charity.

Hope everyone's Christmas plans are going smoothly and you're not getting too fraught.
Don't wear yourself out Daff get plenty of rest in between jobs X

Wmsl BC,,,,, I have to say, when I was working, and we'd had a bad shift, I'd look at those Stesolid tubes with absolute longing, lolol!! My plaintive plea even now, when I am stressed, is a wail of *my kingdom, my kingdom for a tube of Valium to sit on* lolol One needs to say that very carefully, I have noticed, lolol ;¬)) So pleased your little dog has had at least one restful night... I still wonder if she hugs the loo cos it is cold to the touch?

~~~~~~~ to Mau wmsl....... I am qualified to administer it, you know... ;¬)) Now that could look good on a cv, lolol I am getting rest, I promise... and have a lovely day out planned next week... pure pleasure... mind you, Ann in Glos will need to lie down in a darkened room for a week, afterwards, lol!!
Maz... that sounds brilliant..... Like Liz, I love fairs and markets, but find it a strain walking around them these days.. I used to love the Christmas fairs in Germany... the smells and the flavours *huge sigh of pleasurable nostalgia* My German ornaments.... and Dutch ones, lol... are always given pride of place on the tree... they have good memories... most were purloined from Christmas trees at do's we went to..... with permission, I never nicked them, lol!! We used to go fairly regularly to one place (just over the border, in Holland), and of course we were there for two postings so they knew me quite well... and by the last tour... he would point to the tree, and bow.. I would curtsey, and point to my favourite... and at the end of the evening it would be presented to me beautifully wrapped, lolol Bless!!
Liz, I have blackout linings on the curtains... I made the curtains myself, and the linings are always blackout on the bedroom ones... but even the best quality ones mean that when the sun comes in at a certain angle, it goes straight onto the bed through the gaps at the side and the top, landing where my head goes on the pillow... I then have to wait until the sun moves around a bit.. I can't move the bed around, as it is super king sized... and the bedroom isn't lol... we had to knock out the en-suite to get the bed in, in the first place, lolol!! I did once have a drape made using lining material and curtain material... it acted as a sort of pelmet, and looked very pretty. It was vandalised I am afraid, *glares at Hermie and Jethro) and I haven't had the energy or the finger dexterity to make another... where it is now I don't know. I am sure I shall get around to it.. it isn't such a problem in the summer, as the trees block and filter the light, so that is ok... but when there is no filter, and on a sunny morning... no go!
~~~~~~~~~ to Mummo... so pleased that Eddie is still making little improvements... oh, and that he has moved to a more suitable ward.

~~~~~~~ to Ann.... hope you have a good day gallivanting... now don't lose it again, lolol!!
Love
Not a very nice day here to go out but I did go into town. It was freezing fog all morning until about 1pm. T still played golf though, goodness knows how they could see the ball. It was very cold in town but crowded, lots going on, farmers market and ordinary market, 20% off in BHS and 25% in Debenhams, got a roll neck sweater and some pull on jeans/leggings in BHS and a sweater in Debs and a couple of bits for T for Christmas so came home well pleased.
Just had a tooth start to bleed quite fiercely, it happened before about a year ago, don't know why, same tooth, nothing apparently wrong with it. Quite worrying when it happens, seems to have stopped now.
MrDaff Report 12 Dec 2009 10:07
Morning all... well, it is sunny here.... I am not sure what we are up to today.... but as I have two hunky (well, ok, strongish) fellas here today, the whip is going to be cracked, lol...
I doooo take it easy, honestly... the house is like a tip, when I am painting etc, I can't do it all... so no vacuuming, dusting, washing or even cooking goes on... that is why I keep the freezer stocked up with soups, stews and casseroles....... and it is because I am stopping and resting for an hour or so that it is taking so long.
Yesterday I was at *despair* stage, cos I used the wrong paint on the radiator cover... and couldn't find the white spirit to clean the brushes... the Dulux cupboard paint has been taking four or five coats to cover... and isn't covering very well.... but it'll do, as I am having new stuff in the New Year, lol... yeh!! :¬))......... Ann, I didn't even mention it to him, it is *as well as the pc* if I want it to be, he just said *we'll get new after Christmas*.... so there!! I feel quite deflated cos I didn't need my Machiavellian cleverness, lolol
Ann, have a lovely time with your family.... I love being Santa, lolol
Maz, you described it very well, lol... I had forgotten about those... they sometimes have music as well.... but not the *real candle* ones..... they were quite beautiful.. the heat from the candles would move the little *arms* at the top... and this would then activate the main nativity scene to revolve.. Oh, and yes, I loved Rose Montag... Rose Monday in English!! Sweeties would be thrown to the children lining the streets as the carnival floats went by... the children had the day off school... can't remember what it was about, but I think it used to be about Harvest Festival time.. I must go and google it!! Oh and Gluhwein, lolol Yummy scrummy!! Oh and we went to Krefeld a couple of times... but we were at Rothenbach, near Wegberg.. Roermond was our nearest big town and it was in Holland... I absolutely loved Roermond.
Mummo, thank you for nagging me, lolol.... shows how much happier you feel today... I'll pop in and see how Eddie was yesterday, in a minute...... hope you find him even better today little steps, little bits of progress... they all add up in time.... mwah!
~~~~~~~~ to Jean.... no, I didn't think that... you have been up to your eyes, haven't you? Are you all straightened up, now? Has your camellia got buds yet? They should be forming now... give 'em a Christmas dinner of fertilizer for acid lovers.... they'll love you for it... and don't forget to take photos of the flowers... I think the one I sent flowers in February?

~~~~~~~~~ to BC and her littlie doggie, when they look in
~~~~~~~~~ to everyone else looking in xxxxxx

Have a lovely weekend, everyone

Afternoon or is it evening, Daffy and all:-) And a late wave goodbye to Ann. I hope the day has gone well for you and that there is a tasty something simmering in a pig bot at yours, Daff:-) lol sorry I mean to type big pot but it looks so funny I wont delete!

So glad to hear the good news from Mummo, long may it continue. I am still dealing with the long saga of my dog. She has ruptured a disc and has to stay in a cage and be lifted everywhere....she lasted two hours in the cage and neighbour knocked to ask why she was screaming....so I gave up!! I may have to cancel my plans for Christmas but there ya go.

On the up side, I have a very healthy hangover, as my boozin pal came over last night and we feasted on belly of pork slow roasted, and three bottles of wine, and put the world to rights...she had to stay the night as couldnt quite make it home...pmsl....

Tata for now.....
