BP was very high, Ann... I have been told to rest and go back next week... they have increased the new tablet... why did they mess with them in the first place? Other than a bit of a cough, I was fine on them... my own fault, I asked for one of the newer drugsbecause of the cough, lol... he gave me beta blockers... I told him they played havoc with me, but he said to give these particular ones a try.... *sigh*

I didn't sleep very well last night, either... this goes in cycles, so by tomorrow, I should be fine and should sleep ok tonight!!

I have had a really nice day... spoiled rotten by R, and I have taken all the heads and leaves off some bog standard fabric roses... and then stripped a couple of old garlands of it's bits and pieces... and now have a stunning Christmas artificial flower display... even though I say so myself.

I have also wrapped lots of prezzies...... and my desk is immaculate.... I have tidied it and zapped loads of stuff in the zapper thingy..... littlie just phoned me to tell me about her Nativity... full of it... she sang all the words to *Twinkle Twinkle little Dar* and made a better stab at *Away in a Manger* than the carol singers did earlier, lol... she was brilliant with *when Danta dot duck up the chimberley* and of course, I prefer her version anyway, lol...

Older Littlie phoned as well... she has eaten too much at the party, her halo fell off (end of the world, lol) and one of the boys bent her wings so she kicked him, but not very hard cos mummy would be cross, lolol She is now fretting because she is having three Christmasses, and she is worried that Santa might get the presents muddled and take them to the wrong house.... I told her that he is coming here last... so if he has any left for her, I'll make sure I keep them safe until she comes to stay at New Year... she seems happy with that, lolol!!

I have vacuumed twice today... and still there is glitter everywhere!!

It is supposed to be warmer here tomorrow, so we shall do the last of the shopping then...... anything I haven't got on the list... well, Asda is a 5 minute walk away, so will send B to get.

The menu for Christmas Day is sorted.... leek and potato soup (homemade, of course) or smoked salmon and cream cheese to start, turkey, with all the trimmings, followed by cheese and biscuits and fresh fruit salad... B is preparing that, so no hassle for me... cold meats and pickles followed by trifle for tea, with bubble and squeak and buffet stuff, plus salmon, beef, home cooked ham on the bone, etc etc for Boxing Day.... we all actually prefer our Boxing Day food....... I do a mean bubble and squeak, lol

I still have a couple of bits to buy.... but they are extras, so I am not too worried about them... so we are now more or less ready for Christmas, at last!!

I don't think there is very much on the tv that I fancy watching tonight, so I might take myself off to bed early and do a couple of codewords to relax me... I have a new book, so all the easy ones will be first, lolol Not that I would cheat, or anything lololol ;¬))

Daffy you have to be good and rest too much excitement ,I have been in to Durham with the betrothed nosing around and have bought my mother of the bride dress in the sale 17.00 quid it is deep purple empire line as i a little chubby organza with a bit of pink glittery effect their colour scheme so now just need to accessorise it will need a shrug or shawl to cover my arms but chuffed to bits

Good evening, gosh l have had a lazy afternoon...........daughter went up the hospital as Eddie said l was to have some time at home (see he is getting better, bossy boots) so what did l do, sat there crying..........l had taped the Noel's Chrismas presents show and sat here tears running down my face, what am l like, lol.

Mummo, I know the feeling. Silly little things make me weep these days.

Many many moons ago the story of the Snow goose was on the radio. We children howled our eyes out. Next time it came on mum wouldnt let us listen to it. Quite a few years later (about 1970) it was on the tv and I told my children I was going to watch it and they mustnt talk to me as I would probably be in tears. So what did they do? They kept asking 'when is it going to be sad, mum?' And I just said 'shurrup' through my tears.

i get very emotional at christmas I miss my old dad ,he always got up christmas morning and had the fire lit really early so everywhere was warm , This year is challenging too in many ways as I am still resented for the divorce and it crops up everynow and again

Hello all, Daff sorry that you BP was up this time, what a nuisance, why do they have to mess around with medicines, although I suppose theyw ere only trying to stop the cough. Hope the increased dose works and that you have no side effects. Enforced rest, bet you are finding that difficult Lol!!!!

Hope B & S are soon with you, what time do you expect them? We had a very hard frost here today it looked very pretty across the roof tops to Robinswood Hill. However the road has thawed now and we are supposed to have a higher temperature tonight. Hope the roads are clear from here to MK *frets!!!!

Jean glad your main roads are OK, it helps if people can get around easily. You just stay in the warm and don't forget ... whatever you are doing Daff and Jean, photos of Christmas to scrap.

Hello all,
Well we have everything done now, shopping completed, purse emptied and the gr/kids have wrapped their presents for mommy just got to get youngest to keep quiet about it now.
At the moment they have covered my sitting room floor with lego and are looking for the one vital piece that has gone missing lol. They inherited a huge box of the stuff when their eldest cousin decided to get rid, but of course all the sets were mixed up.

We are going to daughters for christmas day but she is within walking distance so we will be ok even if it snows although we haven't had much here.

I hope everyone has a happy christmas and if travelling a safe and trouble free journey.

Oh dear... whatever happened to the lovely long post I put up this morning?? lo... I have pressed reply again instead of submit... doh!!

I have had an easy day again today... just put the vacuum cleaner over, and straightened the rugs... R has done loads, lol... I think B will probably be on his way now... he hasn't phoned yet, but littlie's party was at lunch time, so I imagine it will be all done and dusted by now..... her bed is all sorted, her room is all ready, all the prezzies we had stored in there are now hidden, and the toys we had stored, plus her little table, are down here.... I really don't like her using that little table, so might get rid of it and get her a pouffe for lounging on and watching telly... she can have her meals out here at the table now she is bigger... she loves to sit at the big table in Grampie's chair, lolol.

It is pretty miserable here, weather wise, but it is much warmer, and the rain is melting the ice... I just hope it stays melted so that the drive down is safer for them.

I heard earlier that my parents were burgled the night before last... they took a tv and it's remote from the conservatory... but thankfully, couldn't get into the main bungalow... the tv they took is broken, the new big screen one is in the lounge... my mum is buzzing, with all the excitement now that she is over the shock, but my dad has taken it badly... we are all just so relieved that no-one was hurt.... the police have been brilliant, they were there within 20 minutes of the phone call, and then detectives arrived to take fingerprints etc a couple of hours later, and a young policewoman popped in today to check on my dad... can't ask for better than that, can you?

R is cooking dinner at the moment..... stew, this will be the first one he has ever made.... I shall report back later, lolol!! ;¬))

morning all, we have more snow dont think we will be going far today I would like to wish everyone a happy christmas .

It's Christmas Eve here in the UK and our gr/ch are playing in the snow, our other gr/ch will be tucked up in bed in NZ I hope Santa left them some lovely presents. OH has been out delivering a birthday pressie and card and I am having a cuppa before I start sorting pressies into bags ready to go to daughters later on. I could be Mrs Claus couldn't I ?

Merry Christmas everyone..... I still have some prezzies to wrap... well, I will, when I remember where I hid them, lol!! Apart from that, though.... Christmas is about to start... Littlie and I are going to start preparing the veg... the ham on the bone is in the oven already....... and the beef will go in soon, too...... we are having a turkey crown, so I shall cook that tomorrow.

Littlie is all excited.... me and her, both, lol... we have generally got under everyone's feet, and hampered preparations... I went for a nap, so will be ok for the final clear up once she has gone to bed, lol......

Just in case I don't get time to come out to play tomorrow.... I wish everyone the happiest of Christmases, full of Peace, Love and Joy, surrounded by those you love most in the world... even if it is only internet or telephone link.

Happy Christmas all ours isnt starting to well not only leaky roof the boiler has sprung a leak luckily a good neighbour is a plumber and we are just about to find out if it is mended.
Never mind we will make the best of it and if have to cuddle up to each other all day we will lol.

Christmas morning is here and it is a lovely sunny day. I expect it will be very hot later. I have a chook in the oven cooking to have cold tonight and tomorrow. My son comes up from Rotorua after lunch and he wants to visit his dad in the hospital so we will have to go through as soon as he gets here, which might be 2.30 or later. My daughter and her children will come tomorrow for our family gathering.
