AnninGlos Report 17 Dec 2009 21:40

My fourth post in a row:

I forgot to say that - remember I had an op last August and my Doctor that did the op promised to send me a letter with the biopsy result? Well I got it today....only 4 months afterwards. He confirmed it was a rodent ulcer, a type of non aggressive skin cancer that had been completely removed and he would see me in 3 months to review the scar. Not sure if that is three months from the op (gone) or three months from now. I assume from now so March give or take a couple of months I reckon!!

Morning all, have a nice time at Anns, Daff, watch the vino !!
have you got your camera? we are struggling to walk the snow has frozen and it is soooo slippy, I dont want to go anywhere...managed to finish the decorations, never takes me long, over the years I have sorted out a lot of the baubles we used to have on a big tree , my tree now is only a small one so no time at all to get it up and runnining....

B.C. late greetings, I am sure you will have a great time withh your family. safe journey....

Daff, do be careful on the roads, we seem unable to cope with snow and ice in this country, every thing grinds to a halt .... the Canadians and Austrians , have it sorted at the first fall of the white stuff....

Happy shopping everyone, I havent much to do this year, its all changed with D being a diabetic and haveing M.S. and J and I eating a lot less as we have gotten older. but I do have some little treats ....lol.....

love Jean xx

Well Daff arrived safely and has now gone home, we had a nice long day together, chatting, eating and putting the world to rights and not a glass of vino in sight. Daff wasn't driving herself Jean R was dropping her off. We had a small blizzard that has stayed on the flower beds because it is so cold, but it went off the road. Hopefully Daff will come on when she gets home to let us know she is home safely.

Here I am, back all safe and sound, lol

I have had a wonderful day... didn't shut up, if talking was an Olymic sport I'd 3win triple gold and a Damehood, lolol... well, that's normal for me, lol...... food and company were wonderful! Thank you, Ann, I have really enjoyed myself.

Jean, I didn't drive... hubby works not far from Ann, so he dropped me off... went to work for an hour then on to his section *do* and collected me later... so I have been spoiled rotten all day!!

R has dropped me off, and gone back out to do some shopping... the catfood is very low, and we can't be having that!! I have a big order arriving on Monday... the cats have loads of Go cat... but they love to have *wet* food as well.

R is now off for two weeks... well, apart from 2 days, when he has to go in between Christmas and New Year...... So he will help me de-glitterise the house, lol

Off to catch up with son......... Jean, I shall try and send you a photo of my Christmas tree, lol.... that is all I have taken with it so far... oh, and a couple of the trees and cyclamen, but they are still in the camera. Be back later

Good afternoon, still waiting for my Mum to arrive, my brother phone to say her back is really playing up so there are having to do quite a few stops so she can stand up and ease the pain ( l know she has bowel cancer but she seems to suffer a lot with her back now does anyone know if that is usual) . the journey usually takes about 2 1/4 hours and so far its well over 3 hours now, wish she'd stayed at home but she was determined to see Eddie.
Hope your all enjoying your Saturday, bet your all busy bees.
Well keep safe and warm, talk soon, xxxx

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 19 Dec 2009 13:45

Mummo, hope she gets there OK, don't know about back problem and bowel cancer but it probably is the cause and sitting in a car for any length of time does affect your back if you have a problem with it.

Daff, did I wear you out yesterday? Or are you out gallivanting?

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 19 Dec 2009 15:10

Sorry Ann.... I have been on the phone most of the day.... a whole variety of things... I'll c & p the one, lol

*My mum has opened a card without looking at the addressee (she has early demetia, so tends to assume everything that comes through her letterbox is hers!!)

Anyway, she is now very upset, as there is a card, with a letter, and a £10 note tucked into it... and she has been on the phone all upset as the letter was addressed to someone else, but with mum's address on it... mum has always been as honest as the day is born, and is devastated that she has opened mail intended for someone else, and that this tenner might be from a pensioner etc..... it is meant as a gift... there is no return address, just this *Hi XXXXXXX*

I have been tasked with trying to unite tenner, card and letter with it's intended recipient, lol!!*

I have put a request on chat... and also pm'd a lady on records who does ER look-ups, as well... so hopefully, we shall be able to match tenner with lady.... *groans* that was unintentional, but quite funny so I shall leave it, lolol

That was phone call number three... the first two were to tell me that a) the Sky man had arrived (8.05 am) and 2) that Dad is sitting happily in front of live sport from South Africa, happy as a sandboy........

Then a phonecall from sister H.... her hubby has been rushed into hospital, with a DVT and they have also found he has a pulmonary embolism.... he is in the middle of a raft of tests at the moment, and she is worried to death.

Sister G phoned...... for a general whinge, really, lol.......

Dad phoned twice..... to tell me he had been surfing the Sky, lolol

Niece phoned, worried about her dad

And son's new lady friend phoned with a list of prezzies that son would like, that she hasn't bought herself..... he is going to have the best Christmas, for a long time, lol... it is sooooo good to hear the happiness back in his voice..... A's two children wanted to chat to me too....... which was lovely!

So here I am, still a member of the great unwashed, not a single thing done, and exhausted from two solid days of talking for Britain!! lolol

Maz, have a wonderful time with your daughter ........ see, Gizmo was fine.... they are very forgiving, aren't they? lolol.

Mummo, yes, back pain can be troublesome with Bowel Cancer... encourage mum to take her painkillers..... I do hope she has got to you by now ~~~~~~~ to Mummo's mum and brother, and daughter.

Hope Eddie is still fighting on.... he'll be getting stroppy soon, I expect.... lol......... but that is a very good sign and means he is on the mend!

Ann..... don't be too sorry for R at going back out again.... he had run out of his tipple, so was not prepared to go a Friday night without it, even though there is a bottle of Gin to go with the Tonic, lolol ~~~~~ to T

Jean, I will try and send them on... I will do it when I have a bit of time... I end up getting into a bit of a muddle, lol.... so it does take me a bit longer than usual to send photos, doh!!

Right... I am off to waft the vacuum cleaner in the general direction of some glittered carpet, lol...... and the garlands are going up in the lounge today, once R has put the curtain rail up so I can put the new curtains up there.... we don't really need curtains, but son and new lady friend will be sleeping in there on a Readybed, when they come to stay... so they are going up for their privacy... otherwise we wouldn't be able to use the conservatory while they had a lie in........ all these things to think about!

Love

AnninGlos Report 19 Dec 2009 15:22

Daff, poor Mum, so easy to do, but, as there was no return address it would not have made a difference if she had not opened it. have you checked your Mum's local phone book for the name? If you can't trace it the only thing your Mum can do is to sit on it and maybe the person who sent it will send to the same address when she realises that the recipient didn't get the money.

You have had a busy day! So your poor Mum is now having to put up with continuous sport Lol!!!!!

Nice of the children to want to chat to you wasn't it?

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 19 Dec 2009 16:17

Ann.... Jean on records has found the intended recipient on the Electoral roll..... mum has nipped across (left me dangling on the phone for a bit, as she chatted to the lady and forgot I was still waiting, lol) and the tenner has been united with the person it was intended for... two little boys, actually, but addressed to mum, who was aware that the money had been popped into a card and was on it's way!! So all's well that ends well, two happy little boys, a very pleased mummy... and my mum is so relieved, lol!

GR comes up trumps again... great little community, isn't it??

B is in the loft..... I am resigned to needing to spell things out for my two fellas in very very big letters.

Blue and yellow plastic drawers, similar to these (points to existing set in kitchen) in the shed, under the worktop.... please bring one of them in..... guess what came in? Green plastic re-cycling box with hinged yellow lid that we use as *overspill* for heavy re-cycling weeks.

*sighs* Do you reckon they are not really listening? Cos neither of them is dim, lolol!!

Right.......... back into the fray, lolol!!
