Morning all
My goodness, the rain was heavy last night. Soakaways and drains couldn’t cope and one of the drain covers by our garage was lifted right off. The poor garden took a hammering as well; the plants are looking very bruised and battered. I’d like to have a walk down by the river and see what that looks like but I don’t think I have time today.
I’m getting my hair cut again today. I can’t believe it is 6 weeks since I was excited about having my first haircut since lockdown.
Ann, I hope your shoulder and neck are easier today and that goes for anyone else with aches and pains. It really pulls you down when pain keeps you awake. I had a slightly better night last night.
I hope we hear from Gill today. Perhaps she’s busy or her Internet is playing up but it would be good to know she and her OH are okay.
Must dash and find the mask I made for use at the hairdressers. I washed it and put it away after my last visit and it isn’t where I thought I put it so I’m going to be playing “Hunt the Face Covering” for a while.
EDIT. I missed you again AnnG. I bet Inara will be pleased to see you and give you her card. You’ve said that she’s quite lively so you’ll need a rest when she goes ;-). I wonder why your posts are still coming up twice.

Can’t work out why my posts are doubling up, it is only on the iPad I think.
Inara has been, so excited to see us and to give me birthday card and presents. And her daddy had made a lovely sponge which daughter had decorated. So we had coffee and birthday cake which was lovely. Vera yes lively and loud and very determined. Just four and I think she is as big as a six year old. Takes a 12 shoe. Dad is tall and mum is tall and big built.
Quiet now they have gone and Millie is now asleep.

Good afternoon all,
Just popping in so you don't worry. Had a terrible night with CRAMP in both legs and arms. I thought I was having a HEART ATTACT. It was with me all night, so hardly had time to sleep. Might well go and lay down later.
I have had the BIGGEST DING DONG, with HSBC. They are trying to charge me for a late payment on my CREDIT CARD, that has A NIL BALANCE. That card is now in for the CHOP, and will only use BARCLAY CARD. (not that it is used regularly). I had all manner of apologies, but it wasn't the girls fault, who got the sharp end of my tongue.
My dinner went in the bin yesterday, just not hungry. Not eaten today yet, but will only have something light later. Still have my LUMP together with the BLOOMING HEADACHE'S, but I am pleased to say, they are not as bad as yesterday.
Carolyn has popped round, to see how I am. which was nice of her. They arranged their shopping time for tomorrow. So two jobs done. lol lol
Big line is full of the bed wash, and the airer is full from a coloureds wash. So will all smell great, when they come in.
Hope you are all well, and managing in this oppressive weather. Even with doors and windows open, it's still very muggy. See you later. xxx

Yes, AnnG, I can open the photo. I also only got one copy of that email. I had two of the one with the kitten. It’s nice the family have made a bit of a fuss of you and that cake looked tasty.
I found my face mask for the hairdressers but I haven’t been yet as there was a kerfuffle over my appointment time. When I booked last week I was given a time of 1.30. Then the hairdresser rang and asked if I would make it 1.20. At 12.40 she phoned to see if I was OK as she had been expecting me at 12.15! She did admit it was her fault so she’s fitted me in at 3.40. She was saying how she’s having to remember to leave time between clients so that everything can be cleaned. I found it reassuring to know that it is all being cleaned down.
Sorry to hear you had a grotty night again Frank and then had a bit of a hoohah with the credit card people. Stress won’t help your headaches and it does seem to me that you need to eat more as hunger is bad for headaches as well. Maybe you could try to have small, light meals or snacks but have them more frequently and see if that helps. Make sure you drink plenty as well.
Thunder and heavy rain again at the moment. I hope it stops before I have to go out.

Afternoon All,
I slept a bit better last night, just had to be careful moving but I am relieved my shoulder wasn't worse. I think using my left hand for lifting things is helping and resting it a lot helps. I am lucky it isn't as bad as AnnG's was so will be careful.
Yes, what a lovely kitty Millie is with her lovely marked coat. I bet she was a hit with Inara, but probably ran for the hills if she was too noisy and lively for her! :-D
You will feel better with your hair cut again Vera, especially with how humid it is now. That was some storm you had to lift the drain cover! We had a heavy shower this morning that was hammering on the conservatory roof, but at least the water butts are refilling. Still no thunder or lightning here though. I hope you found your mask in time.
You sound out of sorts Frank and I think you should try to speak to the doc about your headaches, the lump and this cramp you have been getting. You should try not to get yourself too worked up when these mistakes get made as it isn't good for you. I'm sounding a bit bossy aren't I. lol
The painted postcards are all priced at £10 Mandy and the money they get will be to help wildlife. I had to smile at Alexa getting too chatty! lol. A friend got one last Christmas and a few friends were talking about someone they knew who was looking for a man in her life and one said something like what can she do to get to know someone suitable. All of a sudden Alexa in the next room with the door open burst in with some suggestions like 'go up and start a conversation with someone in a supermarket.' It was funny, but I think I would be switching one off a lot too!

We have Echo and I say good night to her before I go to bed and she answers with good night sweet dreams or don't let the bed bugs bite. Another thing she says is speak to you in the morning and nighty night, and nighty night sleep tight. Sometimes when you ask her something she gets the wrong end of the stick and its really funny the things she comes out with. Oh is always asking her to play songs and she gets those wrong too.
Frank get Ros to get you some tonic water as oh drinks that for cramps or you could ask the doc for some quinine tablets.

I don’t think I could cope with all these machines that join in the conversation with you or wish you good night. I’d be screaming at it “You’re a machine fgs. Shut up”. It’s bad enough having an iPad that wants to correct my words. It’s latest foible is to try to change o’clock to lockdown :-S
I’m sure the postcards will sell well Ann, particularly as the money is going to a good cause. Take care of that shoulder.
That’s a good idea of Mel’s to get some tonic water Frank. It might well help with the cramp.
Our afternoon has been a bit farcical, mainly due to OH being in “dozy happorth” mode. First he decided at the last minute to come with me when I went to the hairdressers as he had something he wanted to do in town so I sort him out a mask and then I’m waiting at the door while he finds shoes, umbrella and makes a trip to the cloakroom. Get into town, he parks, I go to get a ticket from the machine only to hear him calling me back. He’s left his bag with the credit card he will need at home. So he shoots off again and I start to walk from the car park to the hairdressers. Almost there and I see, coming down the road towards me, our car. Brainbox drove away from the car park and then realised that his door keys are in the bag in the hall at home. So he’d had to whizz round the one way system and try to find me. I gave him my keys and off he went again.
Are you still with me or have you nodded off? I have my haircut and, as we agreed, I go back to the car park expecting to have to walk round to find where he’s parked the car and sit in it till he gets back. He’s already there. He hadn’t thought to check that the place he wanted would be open and, of course, it wasn’t.
It doesn’t end there. We get home again and I decide he’s going to do something useful so I suggested that as the car was out he could take our collection of bottles and jars down to the bottle bank. This is a 2 minute walk away so 30 secs by car. I make a pot of tea, wash my face mask, fold up some sheets and wait and wait. 25 minutes later he turned up. Coming out of our Close you turn left down to a Community Centre where the bottle bank is situated. The road ends there. OH, on automatic pilot, turned right :-|. He couldn’t easily turn back so ended up driving in a big circle to get back to where he started from. His comment was “Well, at least the car has had a good run”. Grrr, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Lots more I could write but I think I have bored you for far too long already.

Meant to say chicken breast fillets with roast veg tongiht. I have done new pots, carrots, onions, peppers, and mushrooms all with our runners. That should fill him up.
It started to rain again so Vincent came in. He was doing leaves today or have I said that before?? I did say there were 64 sunflowers.
No Gill again??????? I do hope she's not ill.

I was going to say that at least your hair appointment went well, then remembered the kerfuffle with that and that you couldn't find your facemask at first! I hope you have a better night tonight and that tomorrow is a better day........don't let him out!! lol. :-D.

Morning all,
Its bright at the moment but they have forcast rain for later int he day I think.
Just getting ready for the donkey day wipe down.
Coud'nt drop off last night and lay for ages and I had a squeak in my throat when I breathed which I could'nt seem to clear. It kept me awake for ages and I had gone to bed earlier again. I kept wondering if Vera was still awake too. Dropped off eventually anyway.
Hope you all had a reasonable nights sleep and got some good zzzzz's in.
Has anybody got anything planned for today interesting? I bet if its nice in Cumbria Anng and T will be out for a walk somewhere. It must be nice to have a break away from home when you are not used to staying in all the time.
Mole Valley just delivered my chicken food.
